Had a dream last night that I had a baby boy, I went into labour in a corridor of a building but I passed out as it was so quick. We didn't know what to call him, I've woken this morning feeling a little lost, like I miss him. Very weird.

orion3 · 11/06/2012 08:02

fan our dreams can feel very real can't they. It's disorientating.

I have my fetal cardiac scan this morning. I'm really nervous but I hope that it'll be okay because nothing was picked up at the 20 week scan. I think I'll just be worried about every single thing until this baby and dd1 are about 35!

blizy · 11/06/2012 08:08

Orion- hope all is well today. X

Fan- dreams can feel so very really at times. X

AngelGeorgie · 11/06/2012 09:32

Good luck Orion cx
Spooky Fan !!! Xx

fanjodisfunction · 11/06/2012 10:08

orion good luck today.

What Orrible weather, I'm drowning working in this, but I'm determined to keep going. Need to get back on the slimming world thing, I've not lost anything in weeks, but luckerly havnt gained, need to lose more!

Whatevertheweather · 11/06/2012 11:33

Good luck today Orion let us know how you get on xx

Don't envy you today Fan saw some of your colleagues up by the health centre they did not look amused!! What powerful dream.

Well I've been full of cough and cold for a week or so now so went to the Dr's this morning. I have a bad chest and ear infection and low oxygen levels. Rubbish. So I've got a course of amoxicillin and have been signed off work for a week. Got consultant appt tomorrow - am glad because I'm now feeling a bit panicky about the baby Sad

Ellypoo · 11/06/2012 11:50

I hope it goes well today orion x

Oh that sounds horrid WTW, good that you've got consultants appointment tomorrow to set your mind at rest - I hope the amoxicillin kicks in and starts to work very soon so you start to feel better x

fan - I know exactly what you mean about getting back into diet mode, you have done so well so far, and well done on not gaining anything - that's really good! I have got about 3 stone to lose to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight, it just seems so unimportant, but I know it can only help with the whole TTC, so I have to put that to the front of my mind really.

OP posts:
amyboo · 11/06/2012 11:53

Pah, no af but just got a negative on a pregnancy test. Guess that means that what I thought was af clearly wasn't. Sigh. So, now I'm not sure when we should be ttc. Sigh.

Hope everything goes OK today orion

orion3 · 11/06/2012 13:25

whatever that sounds nasty. I'm sure the baby will be fine but you must be feeling rotten. I hope you can get your feet up and rest.

My scan went well. The heart looks good so far but they'll obviously scan the baby after birth too. I was a complete mess in the waiting room again, quietly sobbing behind a tissue, not wailing. I just can't get a hold of myself in hospitals anymore. It's been less than 6 months since we lost Jude in hospital (sick kids but still feels the same) and as soon as I walk in it all comes back to me. I hope I can get over this before I'm taken in for a section!
Consultant confirmed that it's a girl too.

fanjodisfunction · 11/06/2012 14:02

orion so glad it went well, how is the news sinking in that's its a girl?

ellypoo I've lost a stone and a half need to lose half again to be the weight I was when fell pg with Fi. But really need to lose a further 2 stone to be in normal weight range.

amyboo AF sucks, but its not over till its here.

I am soaked!

Whatevertheweather · 11/06/2012 15:11

So pleased everything is looking well Orion another hurdle overcome x

amyboo · 11/06/2012 16:08

Great news orion

Ellypoo · 11/06/2012 16:23

That's great news Orion, you must be really relieved.

When was AF due amyboo?

Can you go home and have hot chocolate & pj's Fan? Horrid crappy 'summer' weather :(

OP posts:
fanjodisfunction · 11/06/2012 19:21

ellypoo I've made a cake and I'm going to sit down now with some hot chocolate. Its a healthy cake made with branflakes. And an options chocolate.

amyboo · 11/06/2012 19:24

Think I had af 3 weeks after giving birth to Thomas. So I was due yesterday. Still no sign yet and no cramping or anything... I've always had a 28 day cyle since going on the pill 14 years ago, even after having DS1. So, I've no idea what's going on. I guess I'll wait a few more days and maybe test again if af still isn't here. Pregnancy tests are so flipping expensive here in Belgium though - ?8 for a supermarket own brand one! Think I might stock up when we come over to the UK this weekend!

Weather is rubbishhre too. I wanted to try and tackle some of our new garden today, but it's been pouring with rain on and off all day. Where did Summer go? Is this because I now have a garden I wonder?

Whatevertheweather · 11/06/2012 19:38

Mmmm I could really eat coffee and walnut cake right now! Probably not advisable though as I have GD blood test on Wednesday.

Glad you're home and dry Fan x

amyboo · 11/06/2012 19:53

I'm tryig to resist the urge to raid the cake tin, which is currently full of rocky road slices. Yum! Might settle for a digestive instead...

CheeseandGherkins · 11/06/2012 20:11

blizy my midwife asked if we'll try again after I'd given birth to Scarlett...We were leaving, hours after giving birth and she asked that. She was a very lovely woman though and she made it all as easy as possible but I didn't think until afterwards how bad that was.

angel Ella is doing well, she's actually on the 75%ish centile for her weight and 90% odd for her adjusted! Ella's been runny due to her anti b's, it's horrible when they're ill isn't it? Hope Phebs is feeling better soon xx

fan where/when is the Sands memorial? I've had some weird dreams lately. Last night dreamt dh disappeared off with mates and wouldn't answer calls/texts and didn't tell me anything. Also dreamt that we went into a hospital ward and women were giving birth, passed one who was pushing then went into a cubicle next to someone else and as we passed them I heard the nurse say they were dead. I was trying to listen to see if it was the baby or mother that died but couldn't hear and then I woke up :(

Orion glad the scan went well, must be a little relief xx

whatever the cake wouldn't make a difference to Wednesday plus you should eat as normal up until the fasting, assume it's the fasting one? To get the right results

fanjodisfunction · 11/06/2012 20:17

cheese the Sands memorial is this saturday. Are you thinking of going? Im still not sure but if its going to be a big gathering of us lot then I might be more persuaded.
What a horrible dream you hard, Im wondering if the coolness of last night made us all have deeper dreams, as in we slept better had more REM dreaming time and remembered some of our dreams. I keep thinking of my little boy in the dream, we couldnt decide if we should call him Rex, Lochlan or Riordan. Very strange.

fanjodisfunction · 11/06/2012 20:28

cheese should have answered you properly its at the national memorial arboretum in Staffordshire.

CheeseandGherkins · 11/06/2012 20:44

Thanks fan I'm going to look it up now and see how far it is from us, am thinking about going though, if it's not too far with all the kids too! You could be right, it was quite cold here last night and this morning. They feel so real don't them; dreams. I woke up feeling so upset. All the emotions are so real x

fanjodisfunction · 11/06/2012 21:12

cheese I must admit when I woke to the alarm I put it on snooze just to see if I could enter the dream again and be with my baby boy. So strange and yes so real.

If you are going then maybe I will come, that will be five of us!

wtw if I do go to the SANDS memorial, I was thinking to day that I could take a stone from you if you wish? For Erin? Its up to you, but the offer is there, I will keep you posted on whether I go or not.

Bluetinkerbell · 11/06/2012 22:46

Had my 16 week mw appointment today
Everything fine, my bloodtest results came back great! Apparently I have one of the highest iron levels the mw had seen in a long time, which is super as I am vegetarian and was slightly worried about it, doesn't explain why I still feel so tired though :(
She also commented that my combined Down Syndrome results were great 1 in 100 000! :)
Blood pressure was slightly low and did have protein in my urine, which could be start of urine infection so need to keep an eye on that.
MW did look for the heartbeat and found it, even though little one was trying to play hide and seek :)
On to tomorrow... scan with the consultant Grin
