Klein- a fab birthday for fab girls!Smile

Well that wasn't so bad after all. My last day 21 blood test was good, progesterone levels were 91, my fsh level was border line, but dr said its because I had already ovulated. Dh has to do a semen sample for analysis.
Dr has sent a letter to the fertility clinic but is unsure if I will qualify for further testing as I have been pregnant before.

I have also been referred for counselling, I will have a telephone appointment first (17th aug) to assess. The dr was fab, i have to go back to see her in a weeks time.

I am Grin at fan SWI with an Olympics hat on! Do you think mr fan's swimmers will get a gold?

fanjodisfunction · 01/08/2012 10:29

blizy I hope so!
Glad the appointment went well. Hoping the sperm test go well too.

tiger I did the same to my DH, here's to a very sticky bean and an uneventful pg.

KleinePoppet · 01/08/2012 11:31

Just got an email from my SIL with a photo of my FIL wearing a mismatched outfit in order to cheer me up Hmm Ah yes, thanks, I feel much better now.
Bless her, at least she is trying (although quite why she thinks that would work is slightly beyond me!).

I AM though laughing at fan re SWI and watching the Olympics every hour or so for motivation Grin Also - what did work say when you told them they couldn't help you unless they could get you pg?!
blizy really glad x

KleinePoppet · 01/08/2012 11:36

Ha, just re-read what I wrote - my FIL wasn't wearing the mismatched outfit to cheer me up!! That would have been REALLY weird. It was the PHOTO of him that was supposed to improve my day... (and I suppose now it has, as I am writing sarcastic messages about it and laughing cynically to myself Wink)

KleinePoppet · 01/08/2012 11:38

Also. How long did it take for everyone to get your first AF after your babies were born? I'm in a slightly unusual situation with all that has gone on, so can;t really compare with anyone else, but still interested to hear.
Ok, will stop posting now...

fanjodisfunction · 01/08/2012 11:54

poppet off the top of my head it was 5 weeks, but I did have a retained placenta so everything was pretty much taken out for me.
Oh and personel said they wish they could.

blizy · 01/08/2012 12:00

kleine My first af came exactly 3 months after giving birth.
I Grin at your fil getting dressed up to cheer you up!

fanjodisfunction · 01/08/2012 12:01

Woohoo our first gold! (Right where's DH Grin)

AugustMoon · 01/08/2012 12:13

kleine my first AF was also almost 3 months after giving birth.
Mias your appointments are the sane as mine were... Every 4 wks with consultant from 28 wks and midwife in between. Although towards the end I was seen more, more like every week.

AugustMoon · 01/08/2012 12:16

fan my boys watching kids tv (DH in hospital having tonsils out and I'm bf) ... What have we won?! Going to switch over now. Dammit, keep missing stuff!

AugustMoon · 01/08/2012 12:19

Welcome tiger, sorry about your baby Samantha Sad Congrats on the bfp. Smile

fanjodisfunction · 01/08/2012 12:22

august we won gold in the rowing, turn over now and watch the rowing mens 8, and get the boys to watch it too, its history in the making.

fanjodisfunction · 01/08/2012 12:38

Ahh only a bronze but still iys a medal, god I'm so excited. Role on the cycle time trial this afternoon, going to find a quiet place to work so I can have the radio up loud. So wish I was there!

AngelGeorgie · 01/08/2012 13:09

Welcome Quiettiger sorry about Samantha ... Congrats on your BFP xxx my dd ;Georgie was stillborn at 41 weeks on 10/10/10 I ce since had my rainbow baby ; Phoebe on 18/10/11 ... Yes, a pg after a stillbirth is totally & utterly petrifying very scarey... But , as these lot well know, my mantra is ; for today I m pg...1 day at a time... There's lots of support here , hopefully you ve got good RL support ( my medical support team were fab; scans every 4 weeks, consultant reviews regularly etc...) xxxx
Mech was it you asking? If not I m sorry... With Georgie I got my AF 4 weeks after I had her with Phebs was 6 months however was BF & on the pill!!!!! Xxx
Blizy well done u ... Be brave xxx
Fan glad work was ok... Xxx
Must get back to work ... 3 hrs then I m
Done to next Tues xxxx

Ellypoo · 01/08/2012 13:49

Welcome tiger, so sorry to hear about your daughter. Congratulations on your bfp, there are ladies on here who are currently pg with rainbows or who have already got their rainbows who are incredibly supportive.

mech - is it you who has been accepted on the clearblue trial? I have just started doing it - the box they send you with all the stuff in is huge!

blizy, your doc appointment sounds positive, hope the sperm sample results come back quickly for you too.

How are you doing fan, I hope that work isn't too hideous, am pleased that your meeting went ok. Lol to Torch SWI!!!!

Sorry there are so many bad days at the moment, it's such a hard time.

I'm going back to docs this afternoon, have been taking the 'happy pills' for nearly 3 weeks now, so it's just a review really. Still just feel really crap and exhausted so not sure if they are starting to work yet or not - I do know that they messed up my cycle last month and af was 4 days late, that really didn't help my mental health!! Have just started the cleablue fertility monitor things today (day 6 of the 3 month trial), so hopefully will get a smiley face at some point when we both feel like SWI! It's hard for it to not become like a chore/means to an end isn't it.

August, I hope you & Adam are settling down ok - poor DH with his tonsils, my friend had hers done a couple of weeks ago, but is feeling loads better now.

poppet mine arrived about 4 weeks after I think - it was all a bit of a haze though tbh.

((waves)) to everyone else x

There you go fan - another gold!!!

fanjodisfunction · 01/08/2012 18:05

Woohoo wiggo! Got a near positive on the old ov tests today as well, think I ov tomorrow, so olympics have worked for motivation! Lol. If I conceive this month maybe have to call the baby an olympic name.

KleinePoppet · 02/08/2012 08:46

Thanks for info re AF! Reassuring.

Sorry not to read properly or name check, we have our neonatal review appt later this morning and are shitting ourselves... BUT as we keep saying, when you've already been through the worst possible thing, you know you can - somehow - manage everything else too. Have a good day all xxx

blizy · 02/08/2012 08:52

kleine thinking of you today, I hope it is gentle as can be. x

Ellypoo · 02/08/2012 09:30

Sending best wishes kleine, I hope the appointment goes ok and is as gentle as it can be. The main thing that I remember about ours was the relief that we could try again - I was so worried that they would tell me that there was a problem with me and that I couldn't ever have another baby.

Well, we have sold our house!! Well, we've accepted an offer! So relieved - it's such a weight off! Hopefully it will all go through smoothly and quickly - the people who are buying their house are first time buyers, and we have already got our new house (nearly ready to move in to it), so it's a short chain.

Went to the doc yesterday and she is referring me for counselling - she said that if she left it to me to make the call, then I'd keep putting it off, so this way it is taken out of my hands. I'm quite pleased really, as I have been putting it off, don't feel strong enough to make that first step. I said that I don't want to have to rely on happy pills, particularly if I ever do get pg again, so really this is the only thing that might help.

Good signs fan, good luck :)

Have started with the ov sticks on the cb trial now, so looking forward to getting a smiley face and lots of SWI!!!!

Hope the appointment goes as well as possible Kleine Let us know. Ours was a big shock because of the rarity of what happened to Erin but strangely I felt better once we knew what we were dealing with xx

Yay for ov fan Smile Perhaps Bradley for a boy Grin

Glad your appt was positive Blizy well done you for going xx

Good news re the house sale Elly Smile Sounds like you have a good gp - glad she is helping you xx

Welcome tiger so sorry to hear about baby Samantha and huge congrats on your bfp. It will be an emotional rollercoaster of a pregnancy but we can help you through. I lost my little girl Erin at 34 weeks last August and I'm now 35 weeks with my rainbow baby.

Mias sounds like you have a good care plan in place. How are you feeling? xx

Been to see head consultant today as mine is on holiday and he is the chief of fetal medicine in this area so feel massively reassured having had him scan me and check her very very thoroughly. He knew all about Erin because of the rare nature of her cancer and was very careful to check all the areas that showed tumours in Erin. Also had another good ctg so feeling more positive today. He also said that I should be having steroid injections so has arranged them for me too. Back for another ctg on Monday and then to see him again next Thursday then pre-op stuff the following Monday 13th then we're there!!! Think I'm going to wash all the baby clothes today while I'm feeling positive Smile

Ellypoo · 02/08/2012 11:12

Oh that's great wtw, I'm so pleased you are feeling more positive.

I thought Wiggers for a boy fan, what do you think!!!!!

AngelGeorgie · 02/08/2012 16:57

Wtw glad you re feeling more positive... 1 day at a time... Nearly there.. In a matter of weeks none of this time/ thoughts will be there ... Xxx

Have a fab weekend all xxxx

Whatevertheweather · 02/08/2012 17:33

No I saw Dr Davies who's lead consultant at QA. I did see Dr Shalloum out at PGate Community Hospital when I was pg with Erin as I'd had a bad tear and pph with Katie. He was nice - he would normally be the cons for people living in fham I'm only under Nime at QA because she requested it after delivering Erin.

Wow tomorrow angel Grin I adore DL Paris. Have an amazing time - where are you staying? 'It's a small world after all' Love it!
