I don't think so wtw

I'm so fed up, I feel like someone keeps stamping fail on my life. I'm taking the day off, I'm too upset.

Whatevertheweather · 19/07/2012 08:03

Oh fan (((hugs))) it must be agonising xxxxx

Whatevertheweather · 19/07/2012 09:12

Angel I really should just hide it but I can't! People seem to think you are scare-mongering if you point out that the risk you are taking is your babies life. Everyone has to make their own decisions based on their own experiences I totally understand that but people don't seem to realise the consequences or dismiss them as such a small risk.

Ellypoo · 19/07/2012 09:46

Oh fan, I'm so sorry - it's just so rubbish, sending huge ((((hugs)))).

Mechavivzilla · 19/07/2012 10:13

fan I had popped on to see how you were doing, I am so sorry :(

WTW I have seen the thread you mean. I have the same problem with people asking about cramps and bleeding in the second trimester and being advised it is totally fine and they are being hysterical :( Any advice to go to hospital or call the midwife and get checked is accused of scare-mongering and I hate it.

Also excited to hear about due date and scans, and everything is crossed.

Little really glad your boss is being understanding. Mine is lovely, and it makes such a difference. Though I was called and begged to do a day of work yesterday. My maternity cover is just awful and we are a two person office! Boss was suitabley grateful and I was having a good day so really didn't mind. With the operation in September, it is likely to be October before I can go back to work. I kind of wish I could go back sooner, but it is almost a relief to have the decision made for me. Like with ttc, I have been forced to put thing on hold and just use the time to get well.

Green thinking of little Merryn. Such a beautiful name. Glad your mum is being alright with you x

Angel you seem to be a good person to know! :) I think they are hoping to do keyhole, and the surgeon is lovely. It sounds so straightforward. So I am only freaking out about it a little, occasionally. If there are certain foods I have to avoid afterwards, so be it. I will cope. I can eat very little at the moment without incredable pain!

Mias the Olympic volunteering sounds so exciting! What an amazing thing to be involved in :)

I too have had AF arrive today. Which is actually great news. Since I am not allowed to be PG just yet, this is the next best thing. Two in two months! More than I had in the 18months before we conceived Dex. Touch wood I am in some sort of regular cycle.

Waves to everyone xx

blizy · 19/07/2012 10:27

Ah fan- so sorry, hope you are ok. ((hugs))

Wtw- I had a look on that thread too, so bloody infuriating! I had to comment on a thread about reduced movements where a poster was adamant that babies movements slow down and that reduced movements is normal!Angry

Waves to everyone, hope you are all well. X

Whatevertheweather · 19/07/2012 10:32

Oh blizy the old 'babies slow down near term to get ready for labour/because there's not much room' AngryAngryAngry No.They.Don't.! It is such a dangerous myth.

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 19/07/2012 10:36

Oh Fan. Sad I'm wishing so hard for a baby for you (and one for Blizy).

Mecha, glad to hear that AF has arrived - never thought I'd be typing those words on this thread! Grin

Trickle and wtw, I felt the same re buying things for Maia. However, because Thea was full-term, we had everything for her, cot, clothes, nursery all decked out with pretty pictures and girly bunting, pram, Moses basket etc. We just left it all in place - in fact, the day we came home without Thea we closed the nursery door ceremonially and then 10 minutes later I had to open it again because it felt wrong to build it up into a shrine. So we didn't really need to buy anything much for Maia. In the end we bought a few clothes and a couple of toys that were specifically hers (at about 35 weeks). Maia's first babygro came from the same pack as the two Thea wore - we have one in her memory box and she was buried in the other.

Mechavivzilla · 19/07/2012 11:00

TurtleDove Not something I ever thought I would say, ever! :D Last year we were waiting to do my 21 day blood test. For six months. I was pulling my hair out!

Thea's nursery sounds lovely. And Thea is a beautiful name. As is Maia. So many lovely names on this thread.

Since I only made it to 24 weeks with Dexter we literally had nothing, so will more or less start from scratch if we are luck enough to get pregnant again. Friends and family bought him some little toys and a couple of blankets, and we will keep one or two of those as just for him. The others can be hand me downs to his siblings.

Blizy WTW I am dreading getting through pregnancy again. I will be so anxious and a total PITA. But I would rather do that than miss something. We really debated going into hospital the day Dexter was born, when we got in I was 3cm dilated! Terrified to think what would have happened if I had just gone to work.

fanjodisfunction · 19/07/2012 16:41

AF still hasent turned up, not even a spot. I'm still cramping slightly. I'm wondering if I ovulated at all this month, or are my fibroids playing up. I guess if AF is still a no show by sunday then a trip to the doctors (after another pg test) to see what's going on, could be a possibilty that I didn't miscarry properly? But its well over dpo13 now so I should of had a positive if I was pg right?

AngelGeorgie · 19/07/2012 18:45

Fan hugs xxxx
Whatever those threads are full of stupid people who sail through life untouched by crap ... Ignore it : you ve got more important stuff... Xxx
Mech I have my moments Wink cx
We too didn t buy much for Phebs initially ( made up for that now!!!) she had a new going home outfit & first teddy .. But she's worn most of the lovely clothes we had bought for Georgie apart from the odd extra special outfit...
Trickle wow not long for u xxx
Love to all: so tired : work really busy & Phebs still full of cold etc... So not sleeping properly thank god it's Friday xxxcWink

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 19/07/2012 19:30

Fan, any chance you ovved later than you thought?

fanjodisfunction · 19/07/2012 19:46

too there is a possibility, but we only swi for three days and that is counted into my 13dpo. But I guess its still possible. I will have to wait it out. I am still cramping but no AF and no other pg symptoms.

Trickle · 19/07/2012 19:48

Fan Sad so hoping this is your month seems really cruel the way those tests end up being xx

I actually have most things needed for a new baby, my mum took them and stored them as I couldn't bear having them in the house. There were just a few largeish things I didn't get as I was struggling to either get funding for slightly specialised items (all that funding has since dried up and doesn't exist anymore) or advice (which never made any sense).

Whatevertheweather · 19/07/2012 20:00

Oh fan how confusing for you. If it hasn't turned up tomorrow maybe test again? I know how disheartening it must be though to see the bfn. What day was AF due? I didn't get bfp this time until 2 days after due even with an early response. Had bfn on day it was due (new years eve so I decided to drink!!)

Blizy when are you due to test?

fanjodisfunction · 19/07/2012 20:09

wtw if the past year is anything to go by then I should have come on on, either saturday through to monday. So I'm on CD 34 or CD 32 today. I had a couple more days of spotting this month hence the two numbers. I have on one occasion before had a 41 day cycle but that was a long time ago.

AugustMoon · 19/07/2012 21:56

Hiya too
wtw I've got your section date in my diary - will be sending +ve vibes that day x
Fan sorry you got the bfn - odd still no AF though.... Maybe.... Thinking of you xx
Mias 20 wks, trickle 32 wks... Where has the time gone?
For me it's dragging a bit but end/beginning is in sight. Had a scan today and all looking well, LO is estimated to be 7lb 5 although still lots of fluid I'm not in danger zone. So I had a membrane sweep (eek) and lots of BHs tonight, feeling ready Smile
angel hope phebs let's you have some rest soon!
Hi to everyone else (am on phone so sorry for text-speak)

Bluetinkerbell · 19/07/2012 22:06

August how exciting! :)

Went on daytrip with E's playgroup today, absolutely shattered!
Tomorrow is her last day at playgroup... they will have a little graduation ceremony :)

Had a bit of a misunderstanding with the headteacher of the first school about their church service tomorrow, must blame pregnancy brain. I thought she said she would do the service but when I re-read the email she meant that I was to prepare and lead it and they would just do the hymns. Which meant that after the trip today I had to put a service together for them... Was slightly stressful, but it's sorted now! :)
Going to be a busy day tomorrow!

blizy · 19/07/2012 22:32

Wow August! Exciting times ahead for you. I will bd thinking about you and can't wait to hear of your new arrival soon. X

I'm on cd 22, still getting highs in cbfm, not had a peak yet . Af should be due around next weekend, I have a 30-33 day cycle.

Fan I have everything crossed you my friend. X

Whatevertheweather · 19/07/2012 22:35

Oooh August have been thinking about you loads - you are really nearly there now. How fab if the sweep worked on it's own - is the plan still induction on Sunday? Cannot wait to hear all about the safe arrival of your little boy xx

greengoose · 19/07/2012 23:26

AUGUST... You are sooooo nearly there! How exciting! What a good weight!

FAN, I'm sorry your having a crappy time. AF should have to be on time or not at all.... It's too much when it's late. Fingers still tightly crossed though....

BLIZY.... CBFM sounds v confusing? We are going to start using one if no bfp by sept, but it sounds stressful.... Ive heard they can take a few months to show peaks?!?

Still on phone, so sorry to not say hi to everyone.
I'm finding being away from home really difficult. Being on 'holiday' doesn't feel right. DPs 40th was very hard. I've had to try on behalf of the boys to make it a nice birthday for him, but neither of us wanted any of it really. I want to go home and curl up in my own bed. There is a travel cot and a high chair etc here, and its all just not right. I feel like we'll never have another baby. I'm scared to try this month because failing is so awful. Hoping is too much, I'd almost rather give up, but I can't.

AngelGeorgie · 20/07/2012 06:08

August xxxx good luck xxxx
Dying here!!! Full of head cold, sore throat etc.... After a very restless night for all of us ... Phebs still coughing ... Only half day today but need to go in as visiting a pt on the ward.... Just want to sleep xxxxx

blizy · 20/07/2012 07:25

Angel I hope your day is quick, booo to the cold!

Green- cbfm worked perfectly for me last month, so I'm guessing I haven't ov'd this month.
I know it can be very hard to go on holiday, we went to the lake district 3 months after Zoe died. I was desperate to get back home, was sick of plastering on a fake smile. I also felt like I had left Zoe behind iyswim? Re: ttc it is a roller coaster of emotions and have though about giving up, but like you I just can't, i NEED to have another baby. Anyway, I hope you are ok? X

Whatevertheweather · 20/07/2012 07:45

Anything this morning fan?

Hugs green when are you coming home?

Blizy fx for you for next weekend xx

Hope you managed a better nights sleep angel. Sleep deprivation and working is so hard.

I'm stopping work on Tuesday so just 3 days earlier than I'd said I would. Can't wait now! K's last day in reception. Can't believe it - when we dropped her off there in September it was just 10 days after Erin died, now as she's finishing the year we're just 3.5 weeks away from (hopefully) another little sister for her. What a crazy year.
