Ugh, am down with another bout of D&V. These constant bugs are a side effect of having babies that I wasn't expecting. In a new and horrible twist yesterday I had a D related incident and have bagged and binned those knickers!!! Disgusted.

Hope everyone else is keeping healthy. It's so lovely to see fan able to look after wtw like that in RL.

Aaw enjoy your kittens fan and take lots of videos and photos of them going bonkers together, they get sedate so quickly and scatty kittens are the best xx

blue great that DH can come to the scan. I needed mine there, I would have been frankly dangerous driving myself what with the distracted nervousness and of course the 1L of water trying to escape from my bladder!! Hope it's great news.

blizy · 30/06/2012 09:47

Fan- yay to the kittens! Hope they are settling well and that you managed to sleep last night.Grin. My (not so) little kitten woke me at 5am to play.

fanjodisfunction · 30/06/2012 10:05

They are so cute ans sweet, they are not too cuddely, but I'm sure that will come. I've left them sleeping together. I'm having my hair done, cut and highlights. Then I'm going shopping for new glasses, excited.

DH had to work, work fucked up this week he's had the week off as leave and knew that he had to be in today but the board at work said he had the whole week off. So we planned to spend the day getting to know the kittens and shopping. But they rung him this morning and asked him what he was playing at. I told him to stand his ground.

Hope everyone is having a good day, hope your better soon spilt.

Bluetinkerbell · 01/07/2012 16:52

Relaxing Sunday afternoon, if only I could find the mute button on E Wink Had a very busy weekend, yesterday MIL was ordained deacon at Ely Cathedral and we had a party afterwards, stayed over at her new house and I drove home from Cambridge this morning, as DH has to work this afternoon/evening. Exhausted now.
20 weeks today :)
At 20+1 weeks last year we found out Sterre had died...
Scan on Tuesday, just got to hang in there until then...

fan glad you're having fun with the kittens!

Whatevertheweather · 01/07/2012 19:19

How you feeling split?

Can't wait to see kitten pics Fan How are they settling in?

Sounds a busy weekend blue. You must be feeling nervous for Tuesday. Passing milestone dates is so hard. So glad dh going with you xx

Saw SIL today who is 34 weeks pg to my 31 and I commented how 6 weeks still feels really long and she scoffed and said how 'lucky' I was that I was having an elcs at 37 wks and that she could end up being pregnant for 5 weeks longer than me?! I had to bite my tongue from saying err trying being pregnant for 16 out of the last 19 months!! Grrr Angry Why do people not get how hard this is (present company excepted of course!)

spilttheteaagain · 01/07/2012 20:40

On the mend thanks wtw, just very weak and knackered! I've been very glad it's been the weekend and DH has been here to do babycare.

How are you feeling blue? I hope keeping busy has made the weekend easier for you.

I've been snooping and there's a distinct lack of kitten pics to aaw over fan... Grin I bet they're gorgeous.

How old is Alfie now blizy?

Diddums to your SIL wtw, I know late pg makes us all grumpy cantankerous old bats but really she could have found someone else to whinge at and been a bit more sensitive! By the time Freya was born I really felt like I had been pg forever, totally forgotten how great it feels to not be pg and have energy and freedom of movement and SPEED when walking! I was pg from May 2010 until Aug 2011 with 5 weeks off in the middle. Honestly despite a 4 day labour with Freya I felt AMAZING a couple of days after - so much lighter and more energy (despite agony in the undercarriage area!). 2 close pgs are really hard work for your body, for that alone you deserve to have the shorter pg!!

I have been following the Aillidh threads and can't stop thinking about them this weekend, so heartbreaking and frightening. Praying they get their miracle and she recovers xx

MiaAlexandrasmummy · 01/07/2012 21:57

hello all, been busy with my lovely aunt staying for the past two weeks. Very special time with her - she wasn't able to come over when Mia died, as she is a school principal, and also because my grandmother - her mother - had died three days earlier, and she had to cope with all of that alone as my parents were with us. , She especially made this trip now so we could have time together. We cried a bit and talked a lot, and I think it helped her own grief somehow, seeing us in our daily life, and seeing how Mia is still very much part of that. At one time she just sat there and sobbed, saying "I'm so sorry you lost your beautiful little girl".

All ok here. Now 17 weeks, and feeling flutters, and growing outwards at a rate of knots!! We had a wonderful meeting with a big group of friends the other night about Mia's Wood, as we had simply too many ideas about what it could be, but their love and goodwill and practical advice have refocussed us. On holiday for a week now, just in the UK, and it is lovely to have time alone with DH, even if the weather continues to be rubbish.

blizy · 01/07/2012 22:50

Blue- 20 weeks wow! It won't be long until Tuesday now, hope you are doing ok? Oh and congrats to your mil!

Spilt- Alfie is 4 months, won't be long until he gets the snip! Wink

Fan- how are kittens settling In? How Dh was ok at work.

Wtw- Angry at your sil, my sis is 20wks pg and everything out of her mouth is a moan about it, makes me so freaking angry. I am keeping my distance a bit.

Mia's- I'm glad you had that time with your aunt. Hope the plans for Mia's wood are coming along.

AugustMoon · 02/07/2012 13:13

Been a little while since I checked in, sorry. On phone so trying to remember what i just read back..
fan really happy you got your kittens... Hope they don't give you too much trouble Wink
spilt get well soon!
Hi trickle, moomin, Angel, mias, and everyone else...
Elly and blizy Sad for AF - next month, onwards and upwards
Blue sorry, when's yr scan? 20 wks - hoping for all good news for you x
wtw I know exactly how you feel, like I've been pg forever and having a baby feels like the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I'm huuuge and uncomfortable with constant heartburn - I know I shouldn't moan but I'm so frustrated not being able to function properly. I feel like life's been on hold for the past year+ - Like I'm holding my breath! 3 weeks to go now, it's so close. Been in and out of hospital as I had a v high AFI at 32 wk scan, consultant saw me the following week again and it's a bit better but still on high side of 'normal' - otherwise everything looks fine though so they were v reassuring. Just being closely monitored.
Will try to keep update a bit more often xxx

Bluetinkerbell · 02/07/2012 13:21

20+1 today, last year on that gestation we had our 20 week scan and found out Sterre had died. Today I have a kicking baby in my belly...

august hang in there! definitely not long to go now!

spilttheteaagain · 02/07/2012 19:56

Thinking of you blue hope you are getting lots of kicks tonight especially and good luck tomorrow! What time is the scan?

Bluetinkerbell · 02/07/2012 20:07

oh yes spilt baby is very active! :)
Scan is at 2.30pm with consultant.

We had a nice discussion about baby names at the dinner table tonight and think we've decided both boy and girl name now...hopefully tomorrow we can find out...
I know it's not the most important thing, but it focusses me a bit and I try to forget it's a scan to look for abnormalities... as that just makes me very anxious.

Whatevertheweather · 02/07/2012 21:11

Glad you're feeling better split Smile Pregnant forever is just how I feel too!!

Good to 'see' you Miasmummy glad you had a lovely time with your aunt with lots of lovely Mia talk. How are you feeling? Sounds like beautiful plans for Mia's wood. Hope you and dh have a lovely break

Angry for you blizy how insensitive can your sister be. Not surprised you're keeping your distance

Big hugs august so lovely to hear from you. You sound just like I feel - especially the heartburn!! Glad you're being closely monitored, sounds like you've been having a hard time. Is AFI amniotic fluid index? Hope the next 3 weeks pass uneventfully - remind me and you induction or c-sec? How many weeks will you be then? 6 weeks left for me until elcs at 37 weeks.

Blue lovely lady I will be thinking about you all day tomorrow and can't wait to hear all about your scan and hopefully find out if boy or girl xx

I'm also off for another scan and consultant appt tomorrow. I'm tempted to ask for weekly scans from now on - as the last time I had a perfect scan with Erin was 32 weeks, next scan I had was when I went in with the reduced movements at 35 weeks, the day she was born/died. How often did everyone else go in in the last 6 weeks? Don't want to be a nuisance but I'm starting to get really scared.

Bluetinkerbell · 02/07/2012 21:48

wtw I'm thinking of announcing my pregnancy on FB tomorrow if all is well... is it ok if I do it in a similar way like you did it?
Good luck with your scan! You need to ask consultant whatever will get you through the rest of this pregnancy without too much stress and anxiety... (now I just need to remember that good advice for myself for tomorrow Wink)

Very tired, E's ear infection hasn't gone yet, she has now a double dose of AB's and we're waiting for a referral to Ear-Nose-Throat specialist.

Trickle · 02/07/2012 22:26

Hi everyone, sorry I havn't been abel to get back for a while it was lovely being abel to read all your well wishing Thursday morning even if I didn't have time for a reply :)

We are back to the original plan, consultant appts every 4 weeks till induction at 39 weeks WHooooooo!!!!!! Tiddler has two cysts in the brain, no idea what it means, probably fine, usually is, who knows, we feel like that's how most babies are, just means extra monitoring of development and maybe a few more ultrasounds in pregnancy and then afterwards of Tiddlers brain once born. These things usually shrink within the first two months of birth and the rest of the brain is developing totally normally and there are no signs of infection or bleeds.

MRI's are so crisp compared to the ultrasounds, we even have some pics taken in quick succession that when played together show baby swallowing amniotic fluid - that was just pure luck that's what they managed to capture. Thank you for the hand holding, was needed.

Blue - will be thinking of you+ at your scan

wtw - My unit seem quite keen to do whatever will reassure you, if you think you need something you can ask and see what they say.

Fan - kittens sound so cute, hope they get snuggly soon

Whatevertheweather · 02/07/2012 22:29

Of course blue! Can't wait to see the official announcement Smile

How are the kittens settling Fan?

Whatevertheweather · 02/07/2012 22:31

X post - great news trickle Grin

AugustMoon · 02/07/2012 23:43

Wtw I'm 34+3 now... In for induction around 37 wks. Have appt for 12th and again on 19th.
Good luck with scans tomorrow ladies xxxx
trickle hope you're not worrying too much... Sounds like the MRI was reassuring xxx

AugustMoon · 02/07/2012 23:44

Ah, yes AFI is amniotic fluid index Smile

Moominsarescary · 03/07/2012 10:51

blue thinking of you x

trickle sounds reassuring xx

august wow not long at all to wait now!

Waves to everyone

Well Im now 7+2 and had a very slight bleed Sunday, saw the doc this morning and he's booked me in for a scan tomorrow at 2 x

MiaAlexandrasmummy · 03/07/2012 12:07

blue thinking of you and your little wriggler - and Sterre, of course. xx

trickle glad you have been reassured by the scan and the doctors.

moomins good to hear about the scan tomorrow, and that your doc is being responsive.

Whatevertheweather · 03/07/2012 12:11

Hope everything is okay tomorrow Moomins

Been for my scan this morning, she's predicted to be 3lbs 14ozs now Smile All looks well so far, back again in 2 weeks when the consultant will book my section date, eek.

Thinking of you blue xx

spilttheteaagain · 03/07/2012 13:03

Great news wtw Grin

Good luck blue

moomins hoping it's nothinga nd that you see a little bean tomorrow xx

Bluetinkerbell · 03/07/2012 16:26

Back from the scan! Everything was fine! Grin It seems I am continuing the thread's trend of having another girl Grin The consultant couldn't be quite sure, as little wriggler didn't want to shift in a good position, but she couldn't see any dangly bits, so she said girl :)
I've got a very happy big sister here now Grin although we did warn her we weren't 100% sure...
Consultant offered to see me again at 28 weeks for reassurance, which was very nice of her, as she had said before she would probably release me back to midwife-led care.

Moominsarescary · 03/07/2012 17:04

Yay blue that's really good news, congratulations xx

Thanks everyone fx it's nothing and the scan will be ok
