I was good and told him it seems to have stopped but he didn't like the fact i have aching in my lower pelvic area and back. At least the worrying has brought back the sickness Confused

Insomnia a 30 min walk in this weather sounds horrid! - wear wellies!

MrsPear · 11/06/2012 10:03

Morning state - i am going to have verbal diarrhea this morning apologies! All sounds good your end!

StateofConfusion · 11/06/2012 10:08

Glad its stopped now mrspear I had a lot of aches in the areas you said before my scan and all was ok, take care xxx

backwardpossom · 11/06/2012 10:10

Morning all, is it too late to lay out some croissants for breakfast?

squeaky and state hope you're feeling less metally this morning. I know when (see, being positive) I get pregnant again, I'm going to be a nervous, metally wreck. Hmm

Am thinking about charting, especially now that I'm reading about all your ov early on in cycles post m/c. AF is on her way out (thank goodness, it was awful!) and I'm on CD5. Fertility Friend app says I should ov sometime between sat and next tues, but reading your experiences, maybe I need to keep a closer eye on things. I found a digital thermometer last night, but I used it this morning and the reading it gave was wonky - either that or I should be in an ambulance on the way to the hospital...

Hope everyone is well (as well as can be anyway!).

kirrinIsland · 11/06/2012 10:28

It is never too late to lay out croissants!

mrspear hope all is well, and that you get your scan quickly to put your mind at rest. I also had random aches and campy feelings in the early stages so hopefully it's just normal and it's just our past experiences that make us worry so much.

State I agree that you are probably coming out of the sore boobs stage now that you are nearly second trimester.

backward I never bothered with temps as it all seems a bit complicated. I just used cheapy ov sticks. I also ov'd very late in my WTF cycle, and in he following one - which is the one I got pregnant on, and without the ov sticks I may well have missed it!

YikesHereWeGo · 11/06/2012 11:48

Hello all.
Don't like the sound of 'wellies' back in the UK!! We head home tomorrow so I'd better make the most of this Italian sunshine...
possom - Re the charting debate: I'm not sure whether charting last month really told me anything (-haven't quite worked out what my 'normal' temp pre/post ov should be, but that's prob due to lie-ins whilst on honeymoon as I'd been taking temps at 6am beforehand!) But even so, I've quite enjoyed doing it and it makes the days and weeks go more quickly and makes me feel a bit more in tune with my body which can't be a bad thing. I'd never really noticed changes in cm before charting, either, which has been quite an eye-opener. I guess I'd just never paid it much attention before now. So I'm defo going to continue charting and see what happens.

GrandPoohBah · 11/06/2012 12:00

I just took my temperature before I got out of bed each morning. I naturally wake up at the same time each day, so it wasn't too hard. I did find that taking the temp fanjo-wise was more accurate than orally, but I suspect that's because I'm a light sleeper and wake a lot during the night. FF does the rest for you!

squeakymac · 11/06/2012 13:56

Stupid decrepit work computer deleted two messages grrrr!

state really glad your symptoms have returned with a vengeance Smile

Still metalling away here, sat through a whole morning of meetings without feeling sick or hungry once, a significant change since last week....

In two minds about the scan, I know a bad scan wouldn't give any more info, on the other hand a good scan would be seriously reassuring - any thoughts on chances of seeing a HB at 7+3? (which would be next Sat when would have earlier scan)

wilderumpus · 11/06/2012 14:07

I had a scan and was dated at 7+3 squeaky and there was a 1cm blob with a visible heartbeat. If you are super stressed then 7 weeks is a decent time to have a scan afaik. hope you are ok, have a Brew and jammy dodger :)

icequeenkate · 11/06/2012 14:21

Back after a wet week in Cornwall with the kids. Just beginning to dry out! Haven't caught up on the thread yet, but yikes - Italy sounds magical.

squeaky - sorry to hear that you are worried. During all the scans I had for mc (which started at 5+4 but didn't complete til 8+1) I was told by the sonographer that standard practice was to rescan after 7+ weeks as that is the earliest a hb might be found? If you are concerned I think you should push for a scan. The not knowing is simply awful.

I'm 7+2 here, and the ms comes and goes depending on how tired I am and how regularly I eat. Boobs tender and def getting bigger. But TMI my diarrhoea is around. It's now been over 2 months and I was convinced it contributed to my mc. I suspect it is due to metalling - admitted as much to my midwife this morning whilst begging for an early scan. I've found somewhere local that will scan from 6 weeks for £90. Seems like a lot of £ but am thinking I'll go for it just for peace of mind.

Charting - i did this whilst trying to conceive DS2, and found it useful. Had a Boots own machine with it's own thermometer and it created a graph I spent hours checking. I don't seem to be able to find the same thing anymore - had a look during WTF cycle.

wilderumpus · 11/06/2012 16:17

Oooh, I am nearly getting a positive opk. this pleases me greatly as it would mean my cycles are back to pre-mc length of 32 days, and my fertile signs link up with the opk. hurray for being normal again :) (as normal as you get with your face down in cake)

Some bugger at soft play i had never met before asked if I wanted any more children... And I was FINE, no meltdown, no anxiety, no crying. Am getting better, hurrah. Time is a great healer Hmm

wilderumpus · 11/06/2012 16:19

are you going to go to the dr about the tummy prob? Didn't it make you lose lots of weight before? be careful please :)

tedmundo · 11/06/2012 16:31

hi Wilde, good news on the positive OPK. I know there is no guarantee it means you OV but my GP friend assures me you would be a minority to not OV after LH surge! So good luck with it over the next few days!

And well done on staying strong to the posey Parker who thinks it is OK to discuss fertility with strangers. Grrrrr Grr.

Well, AF got me last week so today is CD8. means I should OV over the weekend. If it comes early I am out for this month as DH away til Thursday!

It is wonderful to hear about the sickness ladies. I know you are probably all miserable but it really IS a good sign you know! Yay to yacking up!

Also lovely to see those little heartbeats are staring and sure. made my day to hear that. X

tedmundo · 11/06/2012 16:31

Strong not staring .. Sorry! iPad v annoying

Midgetm · 11/06/2012 16:37

Afternoon Mosh pit maidens,

Squeaky 7 weeks should be right to see a heart beat, this link here is very useful.

www.americanpregnancy.org/pregnancycomplications/earlyfetaldevelopment.htm

Symptoms come and go - try not to metal too badly.

Mrs Pear Any updates? Hope you managed to get a scan. I know easier said than done but try not to worry yet. I have bled twice already in this pregnancy. Still pregnant now at 21 weeks.

I have never really got the hang of testing for ovulation. Flirted with sticks but never really got the hang of them. However, I get pregnant at the drop of a hat, it's just getting the swines to stick that is my problem. Also both sticky pregnancies were from DTD once (one after MC, one after EP). Poor DH never got all that chance of doing it very other day - we was robbed.

I am low level metalling as Midget Bean not moving so much in the last 24 hours, I know this is normal so early on but I prefer it when it kicks the crap out of me! Have given myself a mental slap and will start counting. DD is so beside herself I can't help feeling I have tempted fate by allowing this. I know I am being a knob, I just can't help it. As predicted my metalling will not be contained until I reach viability and now this band business hanging over my head I will also metal about premature labour. Good job the mosh pit is here as otherwise I may have been locked up my now.

Best go and mentally prepare for the England match.

ConfusedMumDotCom · 11/06/2012 17:59

You want to hear about inappropriate nosey parkers... In the cab to the hospital for my EPRC, the cabbie says "so are you pregnant love?" DH replies "no". Hmm Poor cabbie realised straight away he'd put his foot in it, felt quite sorry for him.

wilderumpus · 11/06/2012 20:16

how are you mrs pear?

confused that is a shocker.

If the nosy lady had asked me two weeks ago I would have actually died. So glad I have been sensible and avoiding all contact with mums groups until now, when I am coping again. truly, anyone, if you are feeling shit and sensitive STAY IN BED and AWAY from mum groups.

yoyo ted hope you ok? am not ttc this month actually, still recovering from the mc emotionally but will be on it next month with vim and vigour :) opk is just to see when am ov'ing and if everything is as it should be. and it is, phew.

Quicksie · 11/06/2012 20:48

confused I am glad your taxi driver was embarrassed...bet he won't be doing that again in a hurry!

I have had some lovely moments due to the news of being pregnant spreading throughout several different ex-workplaces...but the news of mc not spreading at all! Every time I see anyone I used to work with, I get the 'Wow you are still looking slim! How far gone are you?!' Last one was at a friend's baby shower...I wanted the ground to swallow both of us up.

MissCoffeeNWine · 11/06/2012 21:02

Hope you're ok mrspear

Congratulations on the BFP moomins!

I spent yesterday metalling proper hard midget you're not alone. Little Miss decided she wasn't going to give anything more than a cursory wiggle between midnight and 9pm, just as I spent the day overdoing it.

Then I managed to find a wet patch on the sofa where I'd been sat and convince myself it was my waters. Cue much frantic back pedalling, knicker checking and cushion sniffing. For the record I have no idea what the wet patch is. But the baby has woken up and is kicking mightily and I don't seem to be leaking...metal metal metal. I've spent the last 6 months metalling and four months before that. It's like a normal state now but I am driving myself MAD monitoring baby movements. Just mad. I am going to need locking up with another 12 weeks of this. It's almost worse because it feels like my responsibility - if she doesn't move right and I don't pick it up and get it checked something bad might happen and it would be my fault.

Am I on my own in the midget-licked third trimester metal box of doom in the mosh pit?

StateofConfusion · 11/06/2012 21:23

horray for positive opk wilde Wink

thats a bad one confused i think i'd have actually broken down at that

how are you mrspear any news?

well I've felt like utter shite all day just exhausted despite around 8hrs sleep, felt sick constantly no matter what i ate, i have things that usually put it off for a little while, and feeling really irritable.

Midgetm · 11/06/2012 22:22

Chuckling at cushion sniffing. I have yet to cushion sniff. I am sure my time will come. Oh Miss C I wish I was with you in the third trimester. I hope I would metal slightly less and give myself a good licking to celebrate. Although judging by the cushion sniffing that could be wishful thinking

backwardpossom · 11/06/2012 22:44

I've had a lovely day, went to see my friend carrying the Olympic torch and it was brilliant. Had a wee tear in my eye Grin

StateofConfusion · 11/06/2012 23:09

ah thats lovely possom Smile

Right, I am about to sound like a crazy person, --no surprises there felt rotten all day, pregnant rotten, just snuggled up on the sofa after laying down all day-- brought my knees up to my chest got comfy and a minute later felt what felt like a quick flutter of movement, a pop, a quick tap against the front of my stomach, it was weird, i straightened out immediately convincing i was squashing wriggler but dps adamant i could have felt the baby, could i really? at nearly 13wks??

sassmonkey · 11/06/2012 23:39

Hi all,

Thanks for the congrats, wilde!

state - totally possible that you are feeling movements. how exciting! I started feeling delicious pops and thuds about a week ago, about 13 weeks. Of course, what that means for me is I've swapped knicker watch for popping-watch! I haven't felt so many thuds yesterday or today, so I'm metalling like a good 'un. I've been sitting around with hand discreetly on belly, staring off into space and holding my breath - mildly alarming DS (he's 2). "What you looking at, Mum?" he said. "You see a dinosaur??"

Mrs.Pear fingers crossed for you. I had cramps back and front with this pg almost weekly, where I didn't have any with DS.

Hope you are well martha and finding a way to reconcile the very different feelings at present.

DS is snuffling after nap, best go retrieve him.
