Sorry for absence yesterday - when I wanted to post that I was thinking of you jaffa - had my appointment with the consultant midwife and she had a few concernes so I had a couple of investigations that meant I was at the hospital for five hours instead of one! ECG on me confirms tachycardia (I already knew this, and have mentioned it several times... it was worst around 28 weeks when resting hb was 140's... it's currently 110-130) but they don't know why. My bloods at 28 weeks says no anemia, although 'lowish' so they've repeated that test and are also testing my thyroid (quite sure that is also a dead end as I had it tested just before conception and it was fine plus I don't have any of the other classic over active symptoms
).
CTG shows he's happy enough in there but I have an irritable uterus (suits the rest of me, then
) SMall contractions every minute, and one big one in the time I was on the monitor (about half an hour). Again, I've mentioned I'm getting LOTS of very strong braxtons but it's been ignored.
So, they 'don't know' why I am tachycardic and keep getting episodes of breathlessness and I'm to go back if it gets bad/worse again. What a waste of time! And I ended up in a right state last night crying my eyes out several times (also cried when I walked into my appointment - all she said was 'hello, how are you?' JEEEEZE!)
jaffa COngratulations on your good news - a healthy little girl. As far as I know the risk of cvs complicated miscarriage is in the 48hours after the procedure, but some wpmen have a little bit of spotting that will go on for longer than that. That's no doubt what the peach coloured discharge is and although I know I WOULD worry, you've past the real danger zone and this is somewhat of a mild 'hangover'.
That said. When you say driving to penzance... are YOU driving? If you really, really must take the trip then it's got to be as 'easy' on you as possible. And as you have had a good result, I think you should share with the people you're spending time with that you're to take it easy too. Don't get roped in to pitching in with cooking and cleaning up after people - you're fragile at the moment (not made of glass, or needing wrapping in cotton wool completely but you DO need some tlc).
Oooh, marbles and marff are cycle buddies...
