Well, I think today is the day. I have hardly slept. Yesterday, I had weird discharge, went into the hospital. They checked and said they didn't see anything unusual, but that did not mean there wasn't anything... At least there was a heartbeat. So on top of worrying about the results, I am worrying about leaking fluid.
And tomorrow I have to drive all day to Penzance, to catch a ferry and then spend a week on a remote island pretending all is well. I am so thoroughly sick of my life. Please, please let there be good news for me today, and no CVS related miscarriage. Please.

kirrinIsland · 09/05/2012 08:30

And counting down the minutes till 4pm for myself, i have a strategy meeting which I won't be paying any attention to al all.

I am the same as MissC. I metal between kicks. Thanks for asking about DD. the little ghost child has regained some life and eaten. So skinny but very much on the mend. Praise be.

Anyway jaffa you are in all of our thoughts today. I won't lick you but I am stroking your arm virtually.

Checking in for jaffa hope things are going well xx

MissCoffeeNWine · 09/05/2012 13:06

Thinking of jaffa this afternoon x

JaffaSnaffle · 09/05/2012 13:10

Mixed news. CVS clear. No Downs, patau or Edwards. No sex chromosome problems. It's a girl.

But for here's the fucking nightmare - I have weird peach coloured discharge. Going in to hospital as soon as child care is sorted. Think of mr.

StateofConfusion · 09/05/2012 13:13

That's great news jaffa, sorry to hear about the odd discharge, will keep for now and fingers crossed, take care x x x x

leedy · 09/05/2012 13:28

So, so glad to hear that the CVS result was ok and really hope that the weird discharge is nothing to worry about. Fingers crossed they can reassure you in the hospital.

farfallarocks · 09/05/2012 13:32

Wonderful news about the CVS. My understanding was that if something bad was going to happen it would happen straight away, is that not right? Can you ask FMC for advice on this? I have had a lot of discharge all the way through this pregnancy and I am really hoping that is the case for you too jaffa and you manage to have a relaxing holiday.

You too midget and Marbles here's to a BFP for you soon.

kirrinIsland · 09/05/2012 13:39

Good news on the results Jaffa what a relief.
Hospital is the best place to be at the moment, and you'll hopefully be able to get the answers you need. The discharge doesn't necessarily mean anything bad, though it does of course cause a load of extra worry that you just don't need. Thinking of you xxx

MissCoffeeNWine · 09/05/2012 13:40

Oh Jaffa congratulations on your healthy girl and fingers crossed you have nothing to worry about from now - thinking of you over here.

MarthasHarbour · 09/05/2012 13:47

jaffa that is amazing news Smile sorry about the nightmare but you are in the best place

I am on CD24 and due AF/POAS around this weekend sometime. After being so blase about it the last couple of months i really desperately want it to happen this month Sad i just know that fecking AF will be here by Fri/Sat.

MandaHugNKiss · 09/05/2012 14:52

Sorry for absence yesterday - when I wanted to post that I was thinking of you jaffa - had my appointment with the consultant midwife and she had a few concernes so I had a couple of investigations that meant I was at the hospital for five hours instead of one! ECG on me confirms tachycardia (I already knew this, and have mentioned it several times... it was worst around 28 weeks when resting hb was 140's... it's currently 110-130) but they don't know why. My bloods at 28 weeks says no anemia, although 'lowish' so they've repeated that test and are also testing my thyroid (quite sure that is also a dead end as I had it tested just before conception and it was fine plus I don't have any of the other classic over active symptoms Confused).

CTG shows he's happy enough in there but I have an irritable uterus (suits the rest of me, then Grin) SMall contractions every minute, and one big one in the time I was on the monitor (about half an hour). Again, I've mentioned I'm getting LOTS of very strong braxtons but it's been ignored.

So, they 'don't know' why I am tachycardic and keep getting episodes of breathlessness and I'm to go back if it gets bad/worse again. What a waste of time! And I ended up in a right state last night crying my eyes out several times (also cried when I walked into my appointment - all she said was 'hello, how are you?' JEEEEZE!)

jaffa COngratulations on your good news - a healthy little girl. As far as I know the risk of cvs complicated miscarriage is in the 48hours after the procedure, but some wpmen have a little bit of spotting that will go on for longer than that. That's no doubt what the peach coloured discharge is and although I know I WOULD worry, you've past the real danger zone and this is somewhat of a mild 'hangover'.

That said. When you say driving to penzance... are YOU driving? If you really, really must take the trip then it's got to be as 'easy' on you as possible. And as you have had a good result, I think you should share with the people you're spending time with that you're to take it easy too. Don't get roped in to pitching in with cooking and cleaning up after people - you're fragile at the moment (not made of glass, or needing wrapping in cotton wool completely but you DO need some tlc).

Oooh, marbles and marff are cycle buddies...

MarthasHarbour · 09/05/2012 15:26

manda i need a shitting BFP this month otherwise i am going to shag DH senseless in June. Angry Hmm

sheesh sorry about that liddle outburst, i am a hormonal wreck at the moment i keep seeing babies and bumps everwhere and getting all teary eyed - not jealousy just, 'marffness'!

Anyway manda i am getting all fretty about you at the moment, whilst on my lunch earlier i was trying to work out your dates and whether you are in labour, god knows what i am going to be like when you do go into labour

i think with anaemia they automatically test your thyroid (i know ALL about this as my good old Nanna is going through anaemia investigations), i hope all is ok, although maybe they are on overdrive as you are, well, fit to drop? Wink

Well you lot will be the first to know when AF-v-BFP situ arises this weekend

Smile
TitsalinaBumSquash · 09/05/2012 15:42

jaffa wonderful news about your daughter! I hope the discharge goes away soon and you can rest peacefully for a while.

I had my scan, we have 1 baby, with heartbeat and spot on fluid measurements for down, also 1 baby who refused to let us see anything but it's bottom for the majority of the time. Grin

Sickness has ramped up, cannot even keep water down now, did a classy spot of being sick in a bush outside the hospital and again in a carrier bag in the car. Sad

Much love to all, here is hoping May is full of BFPs for you all. Smile

TitsalinaBumSquash · 09/05/2012 15:43

Big hug to manda too, take it easy lady and look after yourself, I hope things get resolved soon. Smile

MarthasHarbour · 09/05/2012 16:02

woo hoo tits my DS was the same, showing his bottom, and has continued in the same vein for the last three years Grin i remember having to redo my 20 week scan at 21 weeks as he lay there arse akimbo!! Grin

leedy · 09/05/2012 16:04

Great news tits!

kirrinIsland · 09/05/2012 16:50

Congratulations tits that's great news.

manda sounds like there's a lot they don't know, but so long as you are doing ok that's the main thing
