Brookers! Just to let you know all was well at the scan today, low risk of downs and the little bean was wriggling around like mad. Grinning from ear to ear and can;t quite believe it :)

New job is fabbo mcfab - I started on Monday although am on holiday today and tomorrow . People there are so normal! I've had more conversations with people in 3 days than I did in 3 months at my last place. The commuting is a massive pain in the arse but I shall get used to it I'm sure no I'm not.

The best thing about two weeks of work and starting a new job is that i've been so busy I haven't thought about TTC at all - it's been fabulous - just like old times. Am entering the Fertile Period (well, my cupboard was damp this morning, anyway) so I guess Sex Week should begin. We're a bit not bothered this month - the timing literally couldn't be worse if I got diffed this cycle (would miss out on SMP by 10 days and it would ruin our January holiday) but we'll have a half-hearted go at it anyway.

So - who has name changed?? I must confess I haven't read back to my last post. Maybe, you need to get your cycles looked at - don't take no shit from no GP on that. Far so super happy that your scan went well! How many weeks now?

Yes maybe I'm all sorted on the thyroid front thank goodness. Saw the consultant and he's writing my GP a letter to ensure I get more regular testing, and has written it in my maternity book also :)

Hi Cartoon I use ovulation sticks, once you get a positive the box usually says your egg will pop within 24-36 hours after...

It depends on your cycle length, also do you know roughly what CD you think you may ov? If so start testing about 4 days before that.

Hi cartoon ...you start well in advance of when you would expect to ov. That depends on your cycle length but a lot of people start around day 10, which would late with a short cycle (my case). Pee on them daily at least until you get a + or several.

i think my cycle is 30 days. im not really sure bout when i ov, didnt bother to much with that before so i just took wot the average is for most of us. but since im anxcious for anythink that make things happen quicker i might give it a try. maybe im putting to much pressure on myself

You have to find what is best for you. We are all different and its hard to say, but doing something that stresses you certainly it not worth it. I don't get on with OPKs myself but I temp and some women hate that and find it a stress.

If you don't know when you ov then starting around day 10 as Purple says should give you a good idea given you have a 30 day cycle. I know easier said than done but try not to put too much pressure on yourself says she who could put pressure on for GB look at it in terms of arming yourself of a little more information about your cycle. What CD are you on now Cartoon?

perhaps a couple of months of shag and see and then move on to try sticks and after that temping. but this is my negativeness assuming that i will struggle for no good reason

You've got a bfp before so no reason why shouldn't get another one very soon!
