The last couple of threads got lots of people pg. Let's hope this is another lucky one.

OP posts:
SweetieDoesIt · 02/05/2012 19:26

Congrats Steth

Stacks lovely to see you popping in, cannot believe you are so far along already.

Solars sorry I missed your Sad post earlier, hope you are ok my dear, tough when things in RL get very hectic. {{{big hug}}}

Calamity I only ever get a faint line, but as Keep says over a few months you get used what the strongest line for you is, I also temp so I know when I ov and get the temp rise, things seem to link together. Although still not preggers yet Sad

I am bit Blush GP sent me a prescription for, ahem, thrush medication with my smear results. All ok but here is some meds you need sort of thing. So I just nipped to get it, male pharmacist insisted on taking me to the shelf where it was rather than fill the prescription to save me £2 Blush, anyways, have got it home and it says not to use if preggers or TTC. Does anyone know if it is ok to use? It is the pessary & cream.

keepitgoing · 02/05/2012 19:36

Hi sweetie I don't know, why not ring Nhs direct? I had similar with antibiotic pessarary for bacterial vaginosis, which is apparently v common. Anyway, since the Dr prescribed it I decided to use it rather than wait till af. That know you're ttc so why would they prescribe if not safe. Think its sometimes just when there's a lack of trials

keepitgoing · 02/05/2012 19:39

Or wait to talk to gp in the morning if its not too itchy, its not urgent

NoMaybeAboutIt · 02/05/2012 19:46

Tough one Sweetie though I suspect it is only because it hasn't been tested on pregnant women rather than it having adverse effects in pregnant women ifkwim. I think it's best to have it cleared up though before it takes a hold. According to the NHS website, pessaries are ok during pregnancy.

Stacks I forgot to say how lovely it is to see you. 8 weeks? I cannot believe where that time has gone Smile hope you are very well x

cartoonface · 02/05/2012 19:50

Sweetie I don't see why its a prob wen ttc. While I was preg I had awful thrush. If u ate preg do not use the cream use the pessary but carefully!

cartoonface · 02/05/2012 19:51

Maybe the it kills sperm if ur ttc

TheLittleFriend · 02/05/2012 19:54

Hi everyone

I hope everyone's well. I don't have time to catch up properly this evening, but have scanned the posts so I'm not totally out of the loop tomorrow!

Welcome keep

Have a nice evening all x

GenericDietCola · 02/05/2012 20:14

Wow, I can't keep up at the moment but I have just read back and promptly forgotten everything I wanted to say.

Sweetie I reckon it should be safe to use and better to treat the thrush than potentially have it when you are preggo. Are you in the 2ww? I suspect it would be safe to use if so.

Solars sorry you are having a hard time my dear. Talk to us re the consultant appointment if it helps, but I know it's sometimes better to have a few MN-free days.

Tock I congratulated you on the other thread but I am over the moon for you! Was it the RBM that did the trick then? That might be my strategy for next month, but of course I will get my BFP soon and not need it.

Steth congratulations to you too!

Stacks always lovely to see you and great that you are 8 weeks already!

Sparks is AF still staying away?

Beedle I can well understand you got sunburn. I was in Copenhagen Mon/Tues and can confirm the weather was lovely and far better, warmer, sunnier than here.

Maybe you know I'm not a charter, but I think it's very strange to have exactly the same temp several days in a row. Hmm.

Hello everyone else and sorry for the lame-o lack of namechecking. DD has been ill today, very unlike her and I've been quite worried. Dr thinks it is a viral infection, possibly a sore throat. She's taing Capol and sleeping lots and I hope she'll be better soon. I am probably half way through the 2ww now, no interesting symptoms to report (yet).

jenfraggle · 02/05/2012 20:36

Don't forget Generic that no symptoms = pregnant

ScrambledSmegs · 02/05/2012 20:44

Bleugh. Evening sickness. Awesome.

Just popped in very quickly to tell Sweetie that I was given the pessary and cream to treat my thrush recently, and that was what I was told was safe for pregnancy. The pessary does give you grim discharge for a few days though, so stock up on pant liners.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 02/05/2012 20:47

Oh Gen poor DD. hope she feels better soon.

Hope you feel better too Smegs. Have you found anything that helps?

Little how are you?

GenericDietCola · 02/05/2012 20:48

Jen thaks for the reminder! And now thanks to Smegs: AF = pregnant!

Sparks if the mentalling never ends, at least we can all mental together Grin keep an eye on the shoulder though. Have you tried a hot water bottle?

cartoonface · 02/05/2012 21:32

Sparks is it maybe implantation bleeding u had today?
So far I like canon in d
Arrival of queen of sheba
And march from scipion
We're getting married in a small hotel so I don't want anything to churchy or royal sounding

GenericDietCola · 02/05/2012 21:46

Cartoon I like all of those. We had Pachelbel's 'Canon' to come in and Clarke's 'Trumpet Voluntary' on the way out.

Sparks I totally understand re the mentalling - it never ends. Even when you have a big girl of 2.8 who is poorly (and I'm sure it will continue for a very long time yet).

I forgot to say earlier that in contrast to other rat smackers' BFP dreams, last night I had a PMT dream! I dreamed I was shouting at everyone and finally realised it was PMT. I don't think I have PMT yet, so let's count that as a symptom, but AF probably not due until Sun/Mon going by my usual short cycles.

GreenOlives · 02/05/2012 21:47

My, my ladies you have been very chatty today! Grin

Big welcome to Keep, nice to have you with us Smile

Wedding wise it was Frank Sinatra all the way for me and DH. We walked in to "It Had to be You" and we walked out to "Love & Marriage", we had a very informal civil ceremony but it was lovely! [soppy emoticon]

Sorry for no name checking!

Night night Brookers xx

Generic hope DD is better soon. GrinGrin dreaming of PMT!!! Defo diffed my dear Grin

Sparks this TTC lark does mess with the old head. Everything is a symptom and as Maybe says even AF = symptom Confused

Cartoon when is the big day? I found choosing the music the hardest thing, and then on the day it wasn't even noticed. But it still means a lot to me/us.

Thanks for the advice on the meds, think I will just get on with it and use it. Am in 2WW now but not sure we have done enough this month. Only managed SWI twice this cycle with having to abstain before HSG and the fanjocam. My temps rose this morning so think egg popped yesterday. Let the symptom spotting commence!!

Biscuitsandtea · 02/05/2012 21:58

Green we had Frank Sinatra for our first dance (Fly Me To The Moon) - love it Grin

cartoonface · 02/05/2012 22:02

sweetie its 25th of may next year so have a while to choose but using it to take my kind off other things. Am also on 2ww. Had a smiley ov test on sun so not sure if ov'd then or mon. Seem to be weeing more than usual lately but I mite be imagining it!
Also as well as suddenly feeling ov pains after my mc I have a weird slightly sore feeling low in my tummy, is this just things getting back to normal

SweetieDoesIt · 02/05/2012 22:16

Cartoon we are almost cycle buddies, you are a day or so ahead of me.

I had a CD of wedding songs that I really liked. I used to play in the car to try help me choose. It is nice that I have it and still play it sometime to cheer me up although I usually end up in tears Biscuits Fly me to the Moon was on it.

GreenOlives · 02/05/2012 22:20

Biscuits We were far less classy for our first dance - we had Marvin Gaye "Lets Get It On"! Grin
