Asseyez-vous mes amies and ready yourselves for the BESH Eurovision contest ever. Get ready with your Central European fashion, transvestites and inability to sing anything in tune. Get ready to rip your skirts off and leave your other halves no option but to make their mind up (do you see what I did there?) to get down to some swi and do your best not to think of Terry Wogan at any point in the proceedings. Finally, get ready to yell ?nul points? at the evil Droid should it dare to make an appearance.

Newbies, approach in high euro-camp mode, find and complete the BESHtionnaire to let us judge whether you are cynical and menkul enough to join us.

Yes, only five more to go! But I couldn't think where I wanted them so we gave up and had sechs instead. For the zillionth time this cycle. Fertility clinic on Monday though.

How long till you can get back to your place?

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 21/04/2012 21:41

Tis a good start with the pics though. MSB reckons house will probably be ready in about 2-3 weeks. Things left to do are: finish fitting and tile the kitchen, change all the light fittings, put all the socket plates back and give the place a ruddy good clean! happily that's paid for to be done by professionals!
Have you been practising your speech for the clinic? I'm not leaving without the clomid!
We've had a nice evening, had curry round my sister's house. We both do a homemade curry and we call it curry club! Sadly had to come home early because my pain has flared up. Almost didn't get there at all but I'm fed up of this stopping me having a life. My family are pushing me to go back to the docs early this week if it continues :(

eurochick · 22/04/2012 09:39

I think your family are right, Faithy. You shouldn't have been in pain for this long.

It's a lovely day here. I'm watching a bit of London mazza coverage. If I didn't have work to do I'd go and watch as it's just up the road from me. In fact, I'm surprised I wasn't woken up by the media helicopters this morning. I usually am on mazza day. I wish I were out there running (not a marathon, 5k would do!) - after the IUI session I was told not to take any strenuous exercise this cycle. Harrumph. No exercise + steroids = lardy @rse.

Anyway I need to spend the day working on a pleading about some obscure East European law. At least I can do it from home though. I was in the office all day yesterday.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 22/04/2012 09:55

I'm coming to that conclusion myself euro, apparently this morning I am white as a sheet.
Glad to hear you can at least work from.home today. Do you get that time back or is it just expected that you'll do what you have to to get the job done?
I'm really missing running/exercising. When I see people running where I ran it makes me quite sad :( I'm still making sure I get out and walk every day though. We're off on holiday to the Lakes in 2 weeks, we usually do lots of hill climbing, last year we climbed Helvellyn! Somehow I think I'll only manage short walks.

CaveMum · 22/04/2012 10:00

Morning all. Had a lovely day out at Newbury Racecourse yesterday as the guest of a company we work with.
Faithy, glad that the house is progressing well, having pictures up always makes a place feel more like you have put your stamp on it.

Norf, hope the clinic goes well tomorrow: just keep repeating your mantra!

To fuel the menkul I have been doing some workings out: providing droid stays away until at least Tuesday it means ov took place while we were having lots of the sechs. I don't feel like droid is imminent - usually get a couple of days of cramping in advance - so you never know!

[tries to be optimistic]

eurochick · 22/04/2012 10:41

I don't get the time back - evenings and weekends are just part of the job for us.

OP posts:
sinkingflameofhilarity · 22/04/2012 10:59

I'm in the same position euro. Am shattered as moved to a new unit 2 weeks ago, and while settling in, plus getting the work done have been doing long hours. I expect to come in early and leave late, but everyday, 12hrs is killing me. (and it didn't help on thurs I had to lock myself away to have a cry about ineffectual juniors, in what turned out to be pre droidal menkulness)

Do you worry about what you do with baby/child in tow? I love my job, but it's competitive, and I honestly don't think I could progress/continue if I worked normal hours. It doesn't help that my specialist area is mainly men, who all appear to have a little lady at home to keep life ticking over while they do their 12hr days. But... Such is life.

eurochick · 22/04/2012 11:43

It's similar for me, Sinking. At the upper levels it is pretty male-dominated, mostly by men with non-working spouses. I have an additional "challenge" to the long hours - the travel. This last year hasn't been too bad (thankfully, because I think being away during my fertile time while we were desperately trying would have added to the stress) but there can be quite a lot of it, and at short notice too. The only real way to manage is to have the most flexible (and expensive) childcare possible, i.e. a nanny.

The good thing about all the travel is that we are pretty well set up for working remotely, so there should no reason why I couldn't arrange to do a couple of days a week from home, which would at least mean that I would get the commute time with any kids we manage to have.

It's 6dpo here and all is quiet. I might even have sff later! Crikey.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 22/04/2012 13:40

Go for it euro! Wink
FF now reckons I'm 7dpo my chart is rather pleasing to the eye so far! :)

eurochick · 22/04/2012 13:59

The chart's looking good faithy. Mine's doing what it should too (but then it always does, apart from the BFP part at the end!).

Mesdames, messieurs, bonjour!

It is a triggered lemon, although I managed to spill about three drops of it (and menkulled about that a lot last night.) But I am revising the did I actually trigger panic, considering I just felt the need to complain about the rudeness one of the check-out girls to her supervisor, which must mean I am feeling the pg-hormones in full force. I also nearly cried on the way home. Still an assignment to do and no SB at home. Not sure how I'll cope, although possibly better he does not see me this mental until I am actually diffed. I did manage to go for a run though, and seeing your plaintive chat about runs, I am pleased. My clinic obviously does not feel the need to warn people off exercise, and I think I really could do with it...

Very pretty chart, faith. And in agreement about the need to go back to the docs, it has been too much pain for way too long.

Enjoy sff euro and keeping stuff crossed. Really hope the IUI will bring you a win. What is the back-up plan? Another round? Medicated or not?

Well done on the well-timed sechsing cavy. Any idea on when to test, if the droid stays away nicely?

Re: jobs and children and male environments, I don't envy you euro and sinking. My job is majorly flexible and I love working from home. But it ends in the autumn and I won't have a child by that point. So not sure what is going to happen then...

Northey · 22/04/2012 16:28

What a lovely chart you have, faithy. And you, euro Envy.

Hair stroke for hormonal lemon. How do you do the triggering? Is it self injection?

CaveMum · 22/04/2012 16:33

Nurse said to leave it for 2 weeks after my blood test - not gonna happen! If there is no sign of droid by next weekend I'll probably test then.

Strange thing is I've been getting lots of CM for the last day or so. I may jump on HWHNN for a pre a urinary shag, but surely the blood test can't be wrong??? Confused

CaveMum · 22/04/2012 16:34

How embarrassing Blush

"pre a urinary" = precautionary Blush

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 22/04/2012 16:57

You had me confused there, cave, it made me think about post-sechsing peeing as a cystitis-precaution or something... But jump the man, it is not like you are not single-handedly leading for the sechsing-with-a-mission award this month!

Fanks for the strokes norf - it is by self injection indeed and I did it in full view of SB who failed to notice and then distracted me, so I pulled the needle out too soon, hence the drops missed (and the nice bruise on my leg). It was all a complicated plea for sympathy, but became a bit of a disaster. Next month I shall be hiding again...

I have finished a decent draft of my assignment and will be finishing it off tomorrow morning (when SB does his part at hideously early o'clock).

PS Your charts are WAY prettier than mine were even though I am clearly ovulatory.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 22/04/2012 16:58

PS apologies bout the double negative and fings. I did my writing for the day now I am tired!

Northey · 22/04/2012 17:00

Always best to have a wee afterwards, cavey. For cystitis-avoiding purposes :o

Apologies for fuelling a menkul, but increased vadgular wetness can be A Sign...

Northey · 22/04/2012 17:05

lemmy, the injecting sounds... difficult. How often do you have to do it?

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 22/04/2012 17:31

Well cavey I've been in your position getting lots cm in the latter stages, found myself wondering if it meant late ovulation or diffedness. In the event, didn't seem to be either. But if HWHNN is at home, you may as well lure him to bed for precautionary sechs and then wee after?!
lemmy ouch to the injection and boo to the ishoos. Glad to hear the assignment is progressing.
Fanks for the chart compliments Now if it could just stay up, that'd be dandy Hmm

eurochick · 22/04/2012 18:18

I always get a lot of CM, but creamy rather than egg white, a few days after ov, but you might as well jump on HWHNN if he is around!

lemons sorry about the injection problems. I didn't find mine at all difficult but then get every menkul side effect going from any kind of hormonal drug, so I guess it is all swings and roundabouts!

Faithy I am very impressed that you have managed to maintain swi despite all the pain you have been in!

OP posts:
HaveALittleFaithBaby · 22/04/2012 18:24

Yes euro it's not been easy, especially at first. Add in that MSB has had a nasty tension headache it's been limited. My pain was much better around this time last week so we managed to swi then and life was kind enough to us for once! in that I appear to have laid my egg just afterwards so we're in with a shot. My pain has got quite a bit worse so unfortunately there's no sff at the moment!

eurochick · 22/04/2012 20:18

Do get back to the drs faithy. x

OP posts:
Northey · 22/04/2012 20:21

I don't want to keep shoving my turkey baster in your face, feefee, Shock but hae you considered it? It is much easier on you physically if you are in pain for any reason.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 22/04/2012 20:53

I am thinking I will have to go back. Am hobbling again. Tis not a good luck!
norf Grin am certainly in tww now but we did discuss it this time. In the end we didn't need to but we've done it before and I'm not opposed to doing it again if we need to.
Just enjoyed Back to the future II. Where a classic!

Northey · 22/04/2012 21:22

Oh you are just the 80s film queen! I considered that, but have ended up watching River Cottage Veg.
