See a Rat. Smack it.

OP posts:
GreenOlives · 22/03/2012 08:48

I'm in the retroverted uterus gang too! Grin Although when I was scanned for the ectopic it was anteverted so I guess it can move?!

I did jury service a couple of years ago, it was v.interesting but equally frustrating! DH did it last year and felt the same, not enough physical evidence to convict "beyond reasonable doubt" even though most of the jury felt the defendant was guilty Angry

Testing day tomorrow, not hopeful, boobies were sore but that has gone this morning so I fear AF is on her way Sad

Imps7 · 22/03/2012 09:18

Sparks I am mega intrigued as to where you work!!

Olives, AF isnot on her way, and that's that.

Imps7 · 22/03/2012 09:18

or "is not" even.

McPopcornMouseNFries · 22/03/2012 09:36

sweetie the nurse had a helluva time doing my smear ? I was sore for 3 days afterwards (no exaggeration!) - so she mentioned that the tilt was why I was a difficult customer. However, I'm pretty sure I conceived missionary :o :o

Cheers bartlett I'll make sure the blood nurse and/or GP does that (I'd have assumed it would be done as standard but I guess not). I've booked a phone appointment for tomorrow with a different GP, will report back! :)

How are you feeling now maybe ? What mittens are you knitting?

My DM did Jury service a few years back, and she found it really emotionally gruelling and was a wreck for a good week afterwards. I think they convicted him on pretty flimsy evidence and she had a hard time coming to terms with her part on that.

I got a promotion of sorts yesterday ? a teensy bit of extra ££ and a lot of extra risk and responsibility! Not entirely sure I got the good end of the bargain, but it wasn't and offer I could turn down iykwim! Still, I have a shiny new job title and every penny will help when it comes to childcare...

NoMaybeAboutIt · 22/03/2012 10:10

Ooh, Pop that sounds painful. My smear took no time at all, though i did havbe to cough for her to find it Blush I was gearing up for ov at the time!

I am making these mittens. 1 down, 1 to go. To match these socks which I made when I was pooly. I am feeling much better than I was, just very tired. How many days till your scan now? Smile

Imps I went for the 'exotic moisture meltdown' looks amazing

Secret I am also intrigued...

We don't do charity here either. Everyone is too miserable. hey'll eat my cakes, but they wouldn't give to charity!! When I ran my marathon, no one sponsored me. Scrooges.

Beedle you are more then welcome for an afternoon of relaxation. I am planning on going for my first run since being ill before hand, you up for that too Grin

McPopcornMouseNFries · 22/03/2012 10:29

I recall she scrabbled around with a large whatsit (speculum?), couldn't get a sample, then decided the smaller one would be better Blush Shock ...... then it came back inconclusive (I'd guess because there was blood in the sample Confused ) and I had to have it done again Shock

Those are lovely mittens maybe - 5 days to my scan! I am equal parts excited and terrified :)

CupcakesAndCocktails · 22/03/2012 10:47

OMG there has been over 200 posts since I was last here Confused

I've read back but can barely remember anything!

Congrats Shiny am keeping everything crossed that this is a super sticky bean.

Love the name change Pop so excited for your scan and yay on the promotion

Far so pleased everything is still ok withFarfette

Sweetie welcome back from your hollibobs

Maybe when did you last PIACC? I want to come to the spa too!

Olives how are you doing? AF better not show her face if she knows what's good for her.

Smegs did you have the HSC? I'm getting everyone mixed up Confused

Bean hope you have a lovely holiday. I'm so sorry to hear how you've been feeling. I really hope to see you again on here. Your posts are so funny and you always make me smile. Take care x

Now I've officially forgotten what everyones news is. Hello to Smegs, Bartlet, Beedle, Little, Scarlett, Generic, Stasi and Imps

My news is I had a massive wobble which included a sex fail on my end Blush at the weekend. DH and I spoke for ages about ttc & how it's affecting us. DH took all my OPKs, hpt's, CBFM etc...away and deleted my cycle tracker in an effort to bring some sanity back into our house.

The wobble was triggered by some lovely crap friends of ours sharing their pregnancy news when we had them over for tea.

A few days ago DH gave me my CBFM back and we decided that's the only thing we will use this month.

I'm off to the GP in a few hours to see what's happening with my fertility specialist referral.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 22/03/2012 11:29

Oh Cup you poor thing Hope all goes ok with the GP. Tell them that if they don't pull their socks up, they are going to have the smacketeers to deal with. If that doesn't work, then nothing will.

No PIACC action for a few days. Anyone want to explain my chart to me? Grin

Pop I am so excited for you. Everything will be ok though, we brook no argument here.

Imps I forgot to say, train companies are the bane of my existence. £305 a month for shite Angry

Imps7 · 22/03/2012 11:31

Excellent new approach Cupcakes - it's easy to get totally obsessed with gadgets, charts etc etc when TTC long-term when in reality none of those things actually make any difference to sperm meeting egg. A stripped back approach may be just the thing you need.

Don't be Blush about a sex fail - we have all of us been there. And finding out about a friend's pregnancy face to face is a real toughie - don't be hard on yourself if you found that difficult.

Love your charitable colleagues Maybe. They sound like real top sports Hmm.

Imps7 · 22/03/2012 11:34

Aaah, yes your chart Maybe, well it's clearly, obviously, erm, a chart which is showing your, erm, temperatures which would appear to, erm, be in a range of degrees which clearly demonstrates, erm, that you do indeed have, erm, a basal body temperature.

HTH.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 22/03/2012 11:43

Imps you are a star, thank you for clearing that one up for me Grin

Yes, my colleagues are top nothch. They are trying to arrange a lab holiday to Malaga. WTF? I am not going. Fact

CupcakesAndCocktails · 22/03/2012 11:45

£305 OMFG! Maybe that is crazy. As a northerner I'm always shocked at commuting prices/house prices etc...

I looked at your chart just for the hell of it. It means nothing to me but it looks pretty Grin

Im hoping that lack of access to pee sticks etc may help dampen my craziness. I've promised DH I won't count my cycle days. He obviously doesn't know what the CBFM does. So I'm oblivious that it's day 16 and I got my first high today Blush

We have promised to try to dtd about 3 times a week (which was our norm before ttc) even when it's not around ovulation

CupcakesAndCocktails · 22/03/2012 11:47

Maybe a lab holiday to Malaga sounds AMAZING!! can't believe you don't want to go Wink

Anyone fancy some banana bread? It's still warm. Yummy

McPopcornMouseNFries · 22/03/2012 11:50

:o Imps

cupcakes that sounds like a really rough few days :( I agree that all the gizmos can really start to add unnecessary pressure. A break is a good idea.

It's looking annovulatory maybe unless you've maybe been ill or temping with your mouth open :o I think it's normal to have an annovulatory cycle once or twice a year, though (I had one in July iirc), so I wouldn't panic unduly?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 22/03/2012 12:01

Thanks Pop I had one last year too, but it was different to this in that I had spotting, then an early period. I suppose our bodies are sent to try us Grin And I was quite ill, with 2 weeks of antibiotics/paracetamol. So who knows. I would just like it to be CD1!

I know Cup, I mean, who wouldn't want to go away with the people I work with. I've seen my boss with his top off before. I don't fancy it again Wink

McPopcornMouseNFries · 22/03/2012 12:09

Oh yeah - the stress on your body might've just delayed your ovulation, then? I suppose only time will tell (sorry!!! :o )

Thanks Pop and Sparks, only time will tell I suppose. Roll on CD1!

I am finishing early. Well, seen as I started 4 hours ear;y, I fugure I am allowed. But I have to go to puppy school tonight with devil pup. Though I am popping round to my parents for dinner afterwards, so there should be wine... Wink

Comeone smackers, tell me stories to keep me awake. The tiredness is creeping up on me, I still have one more measurement to take...90 minutes and counting Grin

ScarlettInSpace · 22/03/2012 13:43

maybe I agree with imps re your chart

cupcakes I am very impressed you are so unaware of today being cd16, go you! I also have no idea today is cd3 and have deliberately forgotten my pin number for period tracker app which is obviously not the same as bank card pin Blush

Every one else big waves, I am post and run as an out in supermarkets all day counting cans on shelves. Yes, very exciting I know.

Loopyhasanotherbean · 22/03/2012 13:50

maybe could be that you ov CD21 and then is that an implantation dip i spy around CD29?! what CD day did you last test? do you have any proper tests rather than the internet cheapies, such as a First Response Early? (or do any preggos have one out there they can post to maybe Grin

NoMaybeAboutIt · 22/03/2012 14:06

Oh Loooopy you are a terrible influence Wink I last tested CD37.

Sounds like you have an exciting day ahead there Scarlett

Grin Sparks

McPopcornMouseNFries · 22/03/2012 14:30

:o :o sparks

Imps7 · 22/03/2012 14:30

Arg, I keep meaning to ask you my WWYD conundrum.

So last September two good friends of ours got married and had a big wedding that OH and I went to. OH and I were talking about said wedding at the weekend which lead us to discover that we didn't actually buy a wedding present for them - OH thought that I was doing it, I thought that OH was doing it. We've bought pressies for all of our other friends (inc those in the same group of friends as the two in question), we just failed to do so for this couple Blush. WWYD?? Buy a pressie now, or forget about it??

(on the plus side, this does explain the strange thank you card that they sent to us at the end of last year - it said "thank you for coming to our wedding" in it, rather than the usual "thank you for your generous gift etc etc" which I thought was a bit strange at the time - makes perfect sense now obviously!)
