Argh, and be welcome to our new pirate Fred. Be finding yourself a parrot and a wooden leg and hop on board for the trip of a lifetime. Argh.
If ye be new and wantin' to join our motley crew, be filling in the BESHtionnaire application below. Argh.

  1. Do you like gin? (This is compulsory, you must say 'Yes')

  2. Men - are you a gold digger or a cradle snatching cougar?

    a) weewee
    b) poopoo
    c) foofoo
    d) none, you just pray to the baby Jebus.

That's a "c", right there...

    b) the source of all evil.

  3. Number of pets?

  4. Inappropriate (read: weird) crush of shame?

  1. Lesbian crush?

  2. What are your views on camping?

  3. How much money have you spent on sticks you then urinate on?
    i) Oh nothing, I'll probably catch first time and then get the doctor to confirm it.
    ii) Over 100 quid
iii) I opened an account on ebay solely for the purpose of purchasing sticks

Finally, tell us how you found the BESH and why you'd like to join us pliz.

OMG faith I can't leave the fred for a night and you're admitted Shock hope you're feeling better and having fun with new-friends. So cross that your work made you do wards yesterday to see you admitted to other wards that evening. Get better soon, and really it is time for 7 fat years for you (although I'd settle for 7 fat months and a baybee)!

Welcome back euro-matey you were missed. Good to hear you had a fab hollibob. Sounds good - and Grin at the mile high snob. Keep shouting LALALA (but do you need to discuss anything with them there clinic?)

Btw I went running without iPod, SB has broken it. But I went

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 22/03/2012 08:21

Sorry about crazy cycles norf and sinking. Re: cancellation appointments, I have found that tactical crying works (although I did not do it on purpose).

I was wondering why I missed the apprentice and the chat. But like cave I was working on an assignment, and didn't even pop in.

Leaving some chocs for the patient...

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 22/03/2012 08:24

Well done drizzlekicks! How far did you go?
eur he is clearly practical boring for refusing to dtd on a plane. I do think the glamour relates to posh flights tbh...Holibobs sounds very adventurous and fun.
I'm not too bad this morning. Was quite funny to ring my boss to tell him I've been admitted! He reacted with Oh my God felt like saying yeah, told you I was poorly! I don't take time off lightly. I did get quite severe pain in the night, got to taste oramorph for the first time oh so bitter and it settled down. Ready for my painkillers now....Nurse! Nurse*!

faith how are you this morning?

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 22/03/2012 08:51

And faithy did you get dosed up? Hope you are feeling acceptable. I like the shocking your boss, he deserved it! Make some space, you fat pg-ers one, j&b, could you not ask for an early scan to get some reassurance?

I only ran about 2 miles (but then I have had 5 weeks completely off, a lingering knee injury and a nearly fixed collar bone - actually it is fixed, but the whole area is still achy).

Yup got the painkillers. Have worked with the nurse looking after me, she is luffly. No news on scan yet but request went in relatively late last night. Still.can't believe I'm in hospital!
j&b I think that's a smart plan to get the bloods done etc so you know how the land lies. I'd push for an early scan for peace of mind.

Gah, I'm do bored! I've been awake since 6 and have watched everything on E4 already. Reckon I'll have a nap...

OP posts:
HaveALittleFaithBaby · 22/03/2012 09:16

I had a meningitus-like virus a couple of years ago where it felt like someone was squeezing my brain, I was screaming in pain Confused so it's all relative. I asked the nurse in a&e for euthanasia, I just couldn't live with the pain (they got on top of it). This got to maybe 8/10 last night but of course I'm comparing it with the virus. Virus pain.was about 15/10!
Did you have fun bugs? Was it your retro night?

How did you sleep, faithicle? What exactly do they do to cure gallstones?

Good work on the run, lemon. I did an 8 mile walk yesterday, but then ate two bars of chocolate and half AMNH's tangfastics. Still, as long as I am still under BMI 25 for clomid weigh-in ....

jools, you are doing really well in not being a sodden wreck, and hopefully the ship's surgeon will hand out blood tests and scans like smarties to reassure you that all is well. Have you been to him yet at all?

I did bring a luffly book actually, maybe I'll read that. Just can't get comfy. norf I barely slept. Woke at regular intervals. They said if it's gallstones they'll discuss how they treat them....it's not really my area of expertise!

Just been reviewed, now they're saying it could be kidney stone too. Still awaiting scan. Doubt they'll remove my gallbladder itself since I don't think it's infected. they've put me on clear fluids in case it is appendix and I need surgery. Didn't feel hungry til they stopped me eating. Bah, think book ls in back of car.
lems that's a good start back to running. I'm gutted I don't think I'll be doing the 10k Sunday somehow :(
norf that's a good long walk and treat after. Tis all about balance.
So what's everyone else up to this fine sunny day?

Applying for a job. And thinking about going for a lunchtime swim.

Northey · 22/03/2012 12:29

Eek. Having a phone chat with the recruiter tomorrow morning. What can I ask about so I sound intelligent and employable? I know what I want to know, but I sort of need to sandwich that in between intelligent questions.

fee, how are you feeling now?

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 22/03/2012 12:54

hungry and i need a wee. no food or wee til after myscan at 3. pain well managed now which is good.
what vague field is it *norf?

OP posts:
CaveMum · 22/03/2012 13:11

Norf have you thought about putting yourself up on websites like LinkedIn? My BIL uses it all the time (self employed computer programmer) and he swears by it. He said he's been offered loads of work from people who have found him on there.

Hope the time passes quickly before your scan Faith

FriendofDorothy · 22/03/2012 13:23

Menkul menkul menkul.

Will probably explode with blood all over pale sofa now.

Northey · 22/03/2012 13:44

No sticks in house, bugs. Otherwise I might have wasted one. If it was implantation, how long afterwards till things start showing up on sticks??
