Argh, and be welcome to our new pirate Fred. Be finding yourself a parrot and a wooden leg and hop on board for the trip of a lifetime. Argh.
If ye be new and wantin' to join our motley crew, be filling in the BESHtionnaire application below. Argh.

  1. Do you like gin? (This is compulsory, you must say 'Yes')

    a) weewee
    b) poopoo
    c) foofoo
    d) none, you just pray to the baby Jebus.

That's a "c", right there...

    b) Sprinkle them with babydust and send them hugs and kisses on lickle baby angel wings.

  2. Is R2D2:

    b) the source of all evil.

  3. Number of pets?

  4. Inappropriate (read: weird) crush of shame?

George Michael. He'd be off the drugs and on the straight and narrow ('scuse pun) if we ever met...

  1. Lesbian crush?

  2. What are your views on camping?

  3. How much money have you spent on sticks you then urinate on?
    i) Oh nothing, I'll probably catch first time and then get the doctor to confirm it.
    ii) Over 100 quid
iii) I opened an account on ebay solely for the purpose of purchasing sticks

Finally, tell us how you found the BESH and why you'd like to join us pliz.

I have so much sympathy, and would tell you to chop his bollocks off if it weren't for the fact that you will need them in future. "me time" indeed. I hate it when they act like its some sort of unreasonable imposition on their free time, rather than a non-negotiable part of being a grown up with a house that you make messy by virtue of living in it. I am all cross with sympathy. Twat.

A big fuck off sharp curvey sword thing.

Can you go out? Just phone work, say although you were working from home you are very unwell and actually need to take some time away from phone/email contact and that you will log on again later. Then go and have a coffee/facial/peaceful wander round shops. Don't say a word to the immature dickhead (I'm still fuming on your behalf), just go.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 16/03/2012 14:00

Congrats on the excellent prognosis for your dad, faith and now onto a well-deserved weekend.

He is an idiot bugs. I think you def deserve some me-time. GO and GET it (and don't chop his balls off, not only would it make TTC even more challenging, you'd probably end up cleaning up all the mess afterwards as well).

I am stalling about calling the clinic...

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 16/03/2012 14:11

I stopped stalling and called them and as I had an early scan less than three months ago, I don't need the cd3 scan and I only have to go there next week. Proud of myself!

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 16/03/2012 14:39

Righty me hearties. Time for a light-hearted pirate heavy post (as my scary stuff seems to be killing the fred!!)

It's nearly the weekend. Begad I am ready for it. Smartly there, weekend... Contemplating tonight's grub. Should be calorific and very tasty. Must also go well with copious amounts of red wine. Any tips?

When are you sailing homeward, dot? Time for more shanty singing? Anyone else has plans for the weekend? We don't. Nice and peaceful. Must badger SB to do something fun. Possibly outside...

Godspeed and fairwinds to the fred!

FriendofDorothy · 16/03/2012 14:49

We head home tomorrow at about 6pm. Have been to the Jersey War Tunnels which was actually interesting. Doing a bit if shopping then the cinema followed by curry, wine and a shag (I hope!)

Ah, but to be sure, fine is often code for 'come near me and I'll chop your bollocks off with a cutass!' Wink another comedy typo.
As previously stated, arguments are a normal part of relationships, especially when you're as stressed as us lot have been....don't sweat it bugs. If you can't vent on here, where can you?!
dor I went there on my trip to Jersey. I found it eerily fascinating.
I've snuck out of work early, well, they owe me 12 hours! To be fair, I really hobbled out. Quiet night planned aboard the faith ship. MSB is at work tomorrow morning. Meant to be out for bil's birthday tomorrow but I'll have to see how I feel. If I'm still like this, no way I'll be out in town!

Oh meant to say that sounds positive drizzy. Well done for being proactive. Good to know there's no clash with your appraisal.

We know he isn't a dick really, we were just cursing him in solidarity with you. Thank goodness you didn't cut his bollocks off :o

jewelsandbinoculars · 16/03/2012 16:26

quick Q if I may folks. Just called Drs for results of last month's day 21 test (hadn't previously chased it up because scan had already told me I'd O'd) and cld only speak to receptionist who told me it was 62.3 and that the only note on the system was that an egg had been released that cycle. Anyone know if I can take any general indication from that as to whether I'm likely to have sufficient progesterone levels to sustain a pregnancy? I can't speak to my doc before Mon.

Sorry for hasty mememe have office to myself for few mins and colleagues due back any moment (can't MN with people in room my screen is visible to all!) so haven't read fred since the am. Hope all ok.

sinkingflameofhilarity · 16/03/2012 16:26

Ahoy wenches.

Glad GP has proven himself to not be a landlubber fit for the spot bugs. I've had moments of questioning our marriage, usually while in Ikea.

Am v jealous of all your weekend plans, even if they currently consist of no plans. Am having a chilled out day, waiting for a friend to come round for tea and cake, but working tonight. Sad

Northey · 16/03/2012 16:40

Sounds excellent to me, jewels. I only got just above the threshold for ovulation, which is about 30. So you are well, well above that.

jewelsandbinoculars · 16/03/2012 18:10

fanks norfener, appreciated. Can they do anything to perk yours up a touch?

sinky I've just learnt that our weekend plans, which I had foolishly left to JJ to engage with, now include going to friends place in souf london (ie a decent cycle ride away) for breakfast. At 9.00 am. On a sunday. WTAF?

One of the couple we are visiting is american. I don't know if socialising at that time of the morning is acceptable stateside, but I will be having words as to her need to intergrate if so.

KatAndKit · 16/03/2012 18:12

There is a 9.00 on Sundays? Really?? I didn't think there was any Sunday before about 10.30!!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 16/03/2012 18:15

9am on a Sunday is just rude!
Yes I believe generally accepted blood results for that would be over 30, some consultants like to see over 50 so either way you're good. I myself never got higher than 28!
Should I be feeling better by now? Cos I'm really not :( boo hoo poor me!

How many days worth of antibiotics have you got left to go?

sinkingflameofhilarity · 16/03/2012 18:41

It sounds like the infection hit you hard faith, so expect to take a few days at least to feel mostly better, but if you're really just the same, maybe pop back on Monday to get looked at again?

northey at least the roads will be quiet

Excellent progesterone jewels, very reassuring!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 16/03/2012 18:45

7 day course, so two full days in. Fishfingers, chips and beans for tea can't be arsed to anything more complex

OP posts:
Northey · 16/03/2012 18:46

Ooh yum. I quite fancy chicken dippers and chips, and anyone who judges me can just walk the plank.

sinkingflameofhilarity · 16/03/2012 18:54

Mmm. Chicken dippers. My recent discovery is breaded chicken dippers, warm, in a wrap. Mmm.

it's still early days with the antibiotics Faith. Give it a nice restful weekend and see how you get on.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 16/03/2012 19:04

I'm too impatient, therein lies my troubles!
Sadly I cannot find chicken Dippers without wheat, though I did once find gf chicken nuggets. Fishfingers will do though :)

Gluten free's a pain. My mum's coeliac and when we go food shopping its ok now, but I remember when she first got diagnosed, and it took so long to check everything. And explaining that chips dusted with flour really aren't ok just this once..
