HOOOOOORRRRRAAAAAAAYYY!!

Go Far and Farfette! Excellent news - enjoy the good results for the rest of the day and worry about tomorrow, tomorrow (not that you have anything to worry about of course, given that we are Brooking No Argument, but you know what I mean)

OP posts:
ScrambledSmegs · 29/02/2012 12:20

YAY!!! Brilliant news far!

bean so sorry about your sad news. I do agree with Imps though, 5 years is a long time between siblings so I wouldn't be surprised if there were fertility problems. I know it may be difficult, but try to take heart from the news, instead of feeling sad - I'm sure it will happen for you too.

Scarlett great news about your tube and ovary, brooking that it won't be long now for you.

Stasi how are you doing today? I know you're prbably lurking more than typing, but still thinking of you even though you're quiet.

whimiscal thanks for the offer of soup, but cabbages give me wind Blush so I think I'll have to pass! Hope you feel better soon.

Hi Sweetie! Glad you're well. No symptoms = preggo, of course! Are you going anywhere nice on your hols? I wonder if anyone every purposely goes somewhere shit for holidays [grins]. It's a pretty daft question, isn't it?!

Cupcakes hope your dog is feeling better, and, erm, are you PIAR anytime soon?

I think I'm CD15 (bit confused due to time-zones) and I had a little bleed last night. Some cramping today. Trying to stay positive as hopefully I will soon know why my body's doing weird things, but am starting to wonder if it could be early menopause Sad. Certain things are just starting to ring bells in my head.

beangrower · 29/02/2012 12:28

Oh Scrambled - don't say that. It can't be true... What bells are ringing? What has been the story for women in your family? (Mind you my Mum had terrible fibroids and that isn't an issue for me at 40...)

Yes v sad news for my friend. She is being stoical. What a blow.

Childminder was smart and obviously didn't tell anyone that she'd changed her mind while she was getting diffed. I don't think they had TTC probs - her OH smokes like a chimney and nothing changed re' their diets/drinking etc. She just wasn't sure she wanted another then realised it was time to get on with it. I was very (spontaneously) pleased to her face, so at least I can feel proud of myself for that. I will be sad to lose her but DS can get back to a slightly healthier diet when we find a new one!

Whimsi - just when your tummy was getting comfy and settling in. Wink

Fantastic news Far; this is all looking so right!

Stasi - any better?

Pops - meant to say that it's lovely you told your old Ma - I love to think of her smile.

A bit of cheerier news for the Beans - Mr B had a much better pulse this week according to acupuncturist so i think he is responding well to no booze/needles. Patience, patience, patience.

Love to you all. x

farfallarocks · 29/02/2012 12:39

Oh bean so sorry to hear the news and that you were sad about CM's announcement. its always very hard to hear preggo announcements, especially if you are feeling a bit hormonal :(
p.s. I totally agree with you on RPJ, I have seen him in real life too, not as yummy as on Spooks.
Benedict Cumberbatch on the other hand I can confirm is scrummier in real life than on TV and he is lovely.

Thanks imps looking forward to your confirmation in 10 days

generic I cut off the blood supply to DH's arm in woman in black, so scary, can't believe its a 12!!

sweetie no symptoms = preggo
Jabs are goign well, I look forward to them if that does not sound too weird, I feel like I am doing something positive to maintain this pregnancy. Not too stingy either. DH calls it giving the dragon it's breakfast!!

waves to loopy
maybe are you feeling better?

Biscuitsandtea · 29/02/2012 12:44

That's super news Far - each thing is a step in the right direction Grin

Come on Farfette - we're brooking for you!!

When's the next check up / scan or whatever Far?

Biscuitsandtea · 29/02/2012 12:46

And thanks for the info on Whitechapel - I'm off to look for it now.

farfallarocks · 29/02/2012 12:47

biscuit its a 6 week scan on the 14th March, I will try not to wibble about that until at least next week

pop what have you decided on the scan front?

GenericDietCola · 29/02/2012 12:52

Bean sorry re your sad news. I hope you find a good CM soon - will she carry on working for a few months?

Imps that was not funny! I am so jumpy and frightened!

Smegs I do hope you are wrong re early menopause. When's your appointment?

Far that is wonderful news! This bean is a keeper, I'm sure and I love 'giving the dragon its breakfast' - that's great!

Hi Biscuits!

PopcornMouseInBoots · 29/02/2012 13:26

Yay far ! Excellent news ? I have a feeling about this one, it's definitely going to stick :) Love the dragon breakfast! DH has also started calling ours 'dragon baby' :o
I've decided to forgo the scan for a myriad of reasons... but, really, the crunch came when DH asked if I'd stop mentalling if I had an early scan, and I couldn't honestly say that I would. So I'm holding out for 12 weeks even if it is driving me insane Confused

Where oh where are you meeting all these TV hotties far? I have never heard of RPJ or Whitechapel, about the only thing I watch on TV is Casualty and the Simpsons All my favourite shows have been steadily bought up by Sky and I won't pay the exorbitant fees :o

No real reason sweetie I just felt like a change! Symptoms are horrific indigestion and trapped wind ironically combined with insatiable hunger, as well as mild nausea, extreme fatigue, vivid dreams, and I burst into tears at the drop of hat. Oh and I've already gone up a fecking bra size 34FF, sob All these materialised about week 5 though ? I had no symptoms at all on the run up to my BFP.

Who's due to test next? Sweetie? :o

Gosh that's awful bean I'm so sorry for your friend :(
Well done on managing a happy face for your CM ? I'm sure it'll be your turn soon, especially with Mr Bean's pulse looking healthier. Your comment on Dss diet did make me chuckle ? silver linings and all that :)

Imps7 · 29/02/2012 13:33

Just keeping myself amused during lunchtime by reading twoweekwait.com - this entry is intriguing:

At 5, the pizza DH and I love was finished baking. Stood up out of a chair and felt dizzy. Then the pizza I had been craving made me nauseated and seemed very unappealing. I LOVE this pizza and we get it FedExed, so I forced myself to settle down and enjoy it. I did.

They get it Fedexed???! Man, that must be some pizza.

BartletForAmerica · 29/02/2012 13:35

Good news, farfalla! Will be no brooking for you.

Bean, sorry about your friend's loss. That must be so hard for them all to deal with.

Lots of catch up on since I have been around last. Hope we are all kicked off this thread soon though.

DH and I are back on track now to start TTCing again, so this is Day 3 of our next pregnancy...

Imps7 · 29/02/2012 13:36

Oh Bartlet you're back smacketing that rat!! Yay! Congrats on day 3 of your pregnancy - here, have a sticky bun.

OP posts:
BartletForAmerica · 29/02/2012 13:37

Popcorn, well done for being restrained with the scan. With our problems last time, we'll get an 8 week one on the NHS (and then 4 weekly scans thereafter) for our next BFP, but we did end up paying for one when I was pregnant with DD.

BartletForAmerica · 29/02/2012 13:38

Thanks, Imps. Thanks. Can I pass you some Victoria sponge? (A lot of it in my kitchen and it would save me eating it all!)

Imps7 · 29/02/2012 13:40

Don't mind if I do Bartlet

OP posts:
GenericDietCola · 29/02/2012 13:46

Welcome back Bartlet! We are cycle buddies except I'm 4 days pregnant. I think Little and someone else is also on track with us. Hope you are feelign much better.

whimsicalname · 29/02/2012 13:49

That'll be me generic. But I think I'm 5days. (Ooh, that sounded competitive. Wasn't meant to be, more a reflection of what day it is)

BartletForAmerica · 29/02/2012 13:59

whimsical Grin

Excellent, so will have buddies when we all move to the PSEPP thread this time next month.

GenericDietCola · 29/02/2012 14:03

Hurrah for moving to the PSEPP thread next month! I probably sounded competitive too, but didn't mean to be. In fact, reminding myself it is day 4 is more to make myself feel better about the fact that this is a heavy and painful one! (And hopefully it's nearly over)

BartletForAmerica · 29/02/2012 14:08

This isn't AIBU! I didn't read anything competitive in to either of your posts at all! (I think we are just used to the tetchy bits of MN when this is bit is all happy - we even have cake.)

whimsicalname · 29/02/2012 14:13

bartlet I have a unreasonable reputation for competitiveness amongst RL friends. To the extent that one said 'how will Whim manage to run the half marathon? Surely she must know she's not going to win?'

My response that I didn't have to beat everyone, just the 3 other women I'd entered with didn't help much.

GenericDietCola · 29/02/2012 14:47

Thank goodness we are in this safe haven within MN, away from the bitching and eating our cake! I do love MN, but it can turn nasty at times.
