Smacket on, ladies...

Maybe, you mean to tell us that you haven't PIAR yet?! Get on with it, woman! You are welcome to the Bartlet Award. I had forgotten about it but it has brought a smile to my face. Smile

Far, don't worry about not telling your mum if you don't want to. I don't think I will next time. With DD, she had told the world and his wife, all her friends and acquaintances, because she thought it didn't matter. When it all went a bit wrong, I hated the idea of all these people who didn't know me talking about it, when she didn't even bother being in touch with us very much at all. Next time, I'll wait until 12 weeks at least.

musical, can't believe you have so little work now! Time has flown by!

PopcornMouseInBoots · 16/03/2012 12:22

:o far I have been eating for England since my BFP too - I have gained 5lbs, which the MW kindly said might just be retained water (it's not) :o :o

Yay for having a nice boss! Mine is nice too but I don't work very closely with her so I'm waiting for my scan :)

:o cup I thought you said you'd walked out on your pup, and I was all Shock I wonder what he's done? :o
I'm totally with you on the magpie thing - it's a dead cert

CupcakesAndCocktails · 16/03/2012 12:44

Pop I'm ashamed to say I nearly kicked my dog out of the house once Blush
She was just a puppy at the time. I swear she had it in for me Grin I woke up from a night shift to find that she had managed to open the baby gate and get upstairs. She had destroyed my GHDs, a new hat and scarf and a pair of new shoes. All my stuff of course, nothing of DH's. I was so mad I opened the front door and told her to get out

The little sod ran to my DH whimpering Hmm and got lots of cuddles off him. I swear she was laughing at me!!!

Maybe PIAR already or I'm gonna beat you up BESH style too!

Bartlet I remember your heroic efforts to get your BFP. I always think of you if I'm feeling poorly and not wanting to smack that rat. Hope that's not too weird Blush

PopcornMouseInBoots · 16/03/2012 13:06

:o :o cupcakes
One of my cats once bit me (he never ever bites DH) and I took it really personally and I cried Blush DH has never let me live it down...

BartletForAmerica · 16/03/2012 13:32

cupcakes, that is so very weird! Grin I can't wait to tell DH that when he gets home. I can very genuinely say that I am laughing out loud! Grin

Why has maybe not returned to tell us about her BFP???

whimsicalname · 16/03/2012 13:36

I've just won £25 premium bonds. Definitely a lucky month.

The Besh is another group/thread a bit like the rat smacketers, they are a bit more punchy than us but I like their style.

One of their 'things' is to sit on people's bladder until they POAS

Bon weekend all, I have to skulk round the office and find something to eat, its only been 2 hours since my last meal...........

Imps7 · 16/03/2012 15:44

I confess to often lurking on the BESH thread - I'm as desperate for them all to get their BFPs as I am us - in fact one of them did yesterday (or was it this morning? I can't remember) and I was tempted to leap on there and do some cartwheels, but I figured they'd probably think me a weird stalker freak. Which to be honest, I am.

far I find snackajacks to be a total lifesaver... luckily I work from home so can just raid the kitchen :o

:o Imps If they're that 'arrrrrd I bet they'd totally respect a weird stalker freak.

Biscuitsandtea · 16/03/2012 16:14

Afternoon ladies,

Just thought I'd pop in and let you know of some exciting new extension / renovation work that has been carried out on the Brooking Palace. In addition to the ttc and ante-natal zones we have pleasure in unveiling today the post-natal zone. Building on our delightful open-plan layout, you'll find several new mummies trying to sleep in the post-natal area. There is also a steady supply of drinks and healthy snacks (along with some not so healthy ones for the middle of the night feeds).

Anyway - please do come and visit us often here

BartletForAmerica · 16/03/2012 17:06

What does BESH stand for then? I can't remember how I became a rat smacker, but it is one of the good things about MN that there are all these nice little groups. I think my DH thinks it is all a bit odd, but as it keeps me happy, he doesn't mind! Smile

BartletForAmerica · 16/03/2012 17:07

And thanks for the invitation, Biscuits. We will all look forward to visiting and then joining properly.

ScarlettInSpace · 16/03/2012 19:39

Evening all, post and run cos Fridays are always manic with SK's, but I thought you'd all appreciate a tale of ttc madness today.

Got in from work with OH and SKs in tow, raced thru door thinking bumper batch of IC preggers tests would be on doormat and there it was all unidentified brown packaging and all Smile

Hid it in me handbag, legged it up to the bathroom locked the door and excitedly opened it up, thinking could sneak in a quick POAS as AF is not due tomoz and revealed....... The Perfect Puppy book I also ordered from Amazon earlier this week Blush

What a twonk...

NoMaybeAboutIt · 16/03/2012 19:59

Grin Scarlett thank god you didn't pee on that instead, we could've added another acronym to our dictionary - POAPPB

Biscuits I shall bring some baked goods over.

Bartlet I don't know what I would do without you lot, you definitely keep me sane ish

Hope you managed to eat your way through the afternoon Far

Whim drinks are on you Grin

Cup I have nearly thrown the puppy out many a time. But then he just gives me that look

Musical so exciting you are on the countdown!! When is your due date?

To all that have suggested, I am resisting PIACC. Instead I went on a 5 mile walk with the pup, then spent 4 hours over the allotment!! I am pleased to say that 1 row of spuds, 3 rows on white onions and a row of red onions are in. I'm back over there tomorrow for more. We thought we had done loads, then walked down the end of it and realised you could hardly see what we had done Grin all good though.

I'm off to make my Moroccan ish meatballs in spicey sauce with poached eggs. Nom Smile

TheLittleFriend · 16/03/2012 20:19

Howdy all

maybe, oooh, after hearing biscuits story again, of a supposed anovulatory cycle, I'm feeling excited for you!

generic I'm not even thinking about symptoms! And I'm not planning on testing until CD35 at the earliest, if I even get anywhere near that!

Very funny story about the puppy book scarlet Grin

Still got a high on the CBFM today (CD22). I'm never sure about EWCM, but any I did have went about 5 days ago, so if I have ovulated this month, I reckon it must have happened by now.

Happy Friday everyone x

GenericDietCola · 16/03/2012 20:39

Maybe I can't believe you are still resisting! Surely your temps have been weird this month because of illness.

Biscuits thank you for the link to the post-natal area - seems a long way off, but I expect we shall all be in there by the end of the year (whoop!)

Little no symptoms here either and I'm now worried we stopped smacking the rat too early - been a bit tired this week and other things going on. Oh well with Cupcakes' and Olives' magpies and the BFP numberplates we're sure to be diffed anyway.

Imps I love your cheerleading and surely with your buns of steel you can carry off the shortest of skirts!

Happy weekend all X

ScarlettInSpace · 16/03/2012 20:44

PS I have no symptoms whatsoever either and I am cd27 [dpo either 12 or 13] so technically due AF tomoz, but after last months 5 day late witch arrival I have no idea when is due day any more...

secret my last cycle was 38 days (with about a week of spotting beforehand), but it was the first cycle after my mc in Jan, so doesn't really mean much. Before the pregnancy, my cycles were very short and erratic. 24 days was the longest I got to in nearly a year of ttc. Be glad you only joined recently and missed all my moaning about it back then! However, I'm really hoping that despite the pregnancy ending in mc, it might have kick-started my body in to functioning properly and my cycles might become a nice standard 28 days wishful thinking. Sorry for the essay!

TheLittleFriend · 16/03/2012 21:33

biscuits thanks so much, i've pm'd you my address. And I just noticed in Most Active a thread called Current Favourite Biscuit. It made me think of you Grin

NoMaybeAboutIt · 16/03/2012 23:46

Just a quick post to say that Little, you never moaned Smile

I'm keeping everything crossed Scarlett Pup=BFP

Generic, my nerves are like imps' buns - steel Wink

Night Smackers x

BeedleTheBard · 17/03/2012 07:54

So maybe will you be PIAR today? I don't want to hear any more excuses about allotments and puppies. Grin The allotment sounds like its coming along well though.

sparkle yay for the temp rise, mine was higher today too, but as I didn't temp yesterday (had been out drinking far too much) I'mnot sure whether i ov'd yesterday or Thursday.

scarlett will you also be POAS soon? And just so you know, IC sticks are quite small and not very book-like Grin

biscuits thanks for popping by with your snuggly newborn, I'm sure we'll all be popping in to see your new home soon. Of course we'll be bringing tea and cakes for the new mummies

I don't think we've got much planned for the weekend, weather looks a bit rubbish, and i do need to do some cleaning and tidying [boring]

ScarlettInSpace · 17/03/2012 08:21

I'm sitting on my hands cos I don't want to waste use another CB test when I was so late last month...

If ICs come today then will test in the morning [hoping Mothers Day is good omen] if not then Monday which will be cd30...

Sorry for another me post and run but will catch up properly when calm descends SKs go back to their mothers

Happy Saturday everyone! xx
