choccy we were told my admin at work we could not just continue on bupa but i think its time i called them to double check everything ive been told, thanks for the tip.
dunnit it never stops does it , i keep saying to god.. yes we have these chats, we've gone through a lot how about some good news and a bit of luck? intead of stress, stress stress. i guess there are a group of babies ( when we finally have the little shits!) that are going to be SOOOO loved and valued , way beyond normal because what we have to go through, and that love ++ is going to mean so much to them that some of them are going to go out and cure cancer or infertility or invent easy pap smears ?! but its still not fair.
duggs thanks for sweet comment, you should have seen my face when i read it..yeah i am impressive !!Smile

on the whole im fine , had a few weird period like pains on and off since noon yesterday, some v sharp , not sure if thats anything or not starting, also spoke with clinic and they didnt see any point in me taking anything but pred which i have started tapering , on 35mg at mom, i will start on asprin, in may to start trying in june, will stay on pregnacare, vit d2 and maybe omega . got an appt with clinic end of march , will get prescriptions and whatever, and get sorted for next round of fun, told hubby i will get temp job when i come back from oz, then when and if we fall preg depending on how i feel im taking 3 mths off!

lisacn · 11/02/2012 12:28

Pico I hope you get things sorted with bupa, it does depend on who you speak to there they are better to deal with than PPP!!

Can ask where in Oz you are to??

lemonsherbet · 11/02/2012 13:05

pico sorry to see your news. Hope you manage to sort out things.

Coconutfeet · 11/02/2012 20:24

Duggs ? How exciting! The progesterone does simulate pregnancy symptoms. I know when I was using a prog cream (before the days of Mr S) it made things much worse.

Picolina ? Thinking of you at the moment. Have you given yourself a time limit before you start thinking about an ERPC? I was given one on the same day they discovered my blighted ovum, so if it does get to that stage, you may not have to wait around. Hopefully it won?t come to that though.

Dunnit ? That must have been really unsettling to hear. I?ve scrolled back but can?t see exactly how far along you are, but I think it?s still early isn?t it. I?ve always been told that very early scans are notoriously difficult to measure accurately and I know that there was a discrepancy of more than a week when I had a scan with Mr S and the NHS very close together in this pregnancy (Mr S?s dates being the more accurate). Nobody was particularly concerned and I measured bang on for dates at the later scans. The fact that the hb was strong is a really good thing.

8lbs is nothing Cheerful. I?ve no idea how much I?ve put on but I know most of it?s gone on my arse (still wearing the same size clothes as before, just maternity ones) but I?m not that bothered as, like Digi, I know it?ll drop off again pretty quickly when I?m breastfeeding. I used to live in Japan and I know they?re pretty strict there about how much weight you put on too.

Hope you?re enjoying the sunshine, Free and not working too hard.

Waves to everyone else.

digitalgirl · 11/02/2012 22:55

stogan did you have a scan yesterday?

dunnit strong hb is such a good sign. Growth measurements can be all over the place at this stage. Some growing fast, some slow burners. Are you getting re-scanned again soon to set your mind at rest?

battery have moved you up to 2nd trimester Smile. Hope your doing ok this weekend after the stress of Thursday

pico thinking of you at this time. Fwiw I had a very straightforward erpc with my last mc. Was booked in 2 days after diagnosing the mc. Reacted quite intensely to the general anaesthetic though and was wiped out for days afterwards. The hormones crashing can't have helped either. But I recovered quickly and emotionally felt quite strong to be able to move on.

Spent most of today cooking and cleaning yet feeling like I haven't achieved anything. Still have a long list of drawers to declutter yet we have to prioritise painting the living room so we can get the new floor put in. I also need to start helping out dh's business on the social media side of things - setting up a blog, linking to Pinterest etc.
And I feel like we're not spending enough time enjoying the last few weeks with just ds. The weather's been so shite, I can't walk in the snow for fear of doing myself permanent damage. So DS has been spending a lot of time indoors getting very addicted to his DVDs Hmm.

lisa wont hold my breath with bupa but its worth a call, im going to sydney.
coconut we will be discussing times on wed when i o to epau, i was thinking 2 weeks but hope it wont be that long, it is hard waiting and i have to go into work mon, i will ask them to refer me to st anthonys , i wish i didnt have to spend that money esp since im going to be unemployed soon but it makes me feel better and maybe a con but less worried so in my books thats worth 1500

PQ77 · 12/02/2012 09:02

Morning all, hope everyone's ok.

duggs that all sounds quite promising, yes? But I know like you say could be all the drugs- nonetheless I will be fingers crossed for a bfp for you.

I've got to travel with work in a few weeks - just to Europe - but hand luggage only so they're possibly going to have a field day with my pharmaceutical cornucopia. free did you have any questions going through customs? And then the bigger question, might join dh before a work conference in orlando Florida in April and turn it into a two week holiday - who was it from the thread that had a nice holiday the a few months ago??? if (big if) I need intralipids will have to find somewhere that does it or ivig. I was convinced that I didn't want the stress of flying to the us and then flying home alone with DS while dh stays at the conference but now I think my need for a holiday and some sun is winning out - intalipid and scan and mc possibility practicalities permitting.

digi I have been hibernating at home watching DVDs with DS, not cooking and not decluttrring and I'm not pregnant! Sounds like you are doing fantastically well. Though actually dh and I left the house and went to "the artist" at the cinema last night - we both fell asleep!!! Good film but we were just both so tired and the theatre was so cosy...

suemays · 12/02/2012 09:25

duggs I have been feeling really nauseas too but it's a common side effect of letrozole plus I haven't even ovd yet. You don't normally feel sick until around 6 weeks preg don't forget. It's such a headfuck when you symptom spot!
Waves to everyone else!

suemays · 12/02/2012 09:27

Forgot to add I hope this month works for you though.

OP posts:
Havingkittens · 12/02/2012 09:32

PQ, do you have the Miscarriage Clinic leaflet? It lists all the meds we are supposed to take. I usually take that in the little bag that contains all my medication so that if customs ask there is something official with them that says what they are all for. Not that I've ever been stopped. The only medication that's caused me a problem was a nasal spray because I'd forgotten to put it in with the liquids.

eurochick · 12/02/2012 09:41

Morning ladies. I got my period yesterday so I am back to "waiting to ovulate". For the 16th time. I can't believe how long this is taking.

Also, I spent yesterday afternoon with a friend who has been having a bad time ttc (she had practically no cycle due to PCOS). Anyway, she announced that she is pregnant after IVF. I am very happy for her but it does now mean I am the last of my friends to have a child or be expecting one and I just feel like I am being left behind.

ChoccyPud · 12/02/2012 10:09

Morning all, wow it's busy on here this morning.

euro sorry to hear AF has arrived, and what awful timing for you to hear your friend's news on the day AF arrived, that's pants. I think we all find it stings more at certain times, no matter how much we like the person(! - ykwim) it's totally normal.

PQ sounds like a great plan to get away for a couple of weeks. free managed to find somewhere for intralipids so I'm sure it could be sorted if/when necessary :)

duggs fingers crossed...

I've been hibernating too, working from home rather than risking the icy roads by me. Had acupuncture again yesterday, 2nd time. I thought I'd give it a go before ttc again to add something new into the mix as well as the Hydroxy. I didn't expect it to have much of a noticeable effect but I felt really relaxed after, like after a massage. And when she put one of the needles in it really ached. Weird! I'll keep going for now and see how I feel about it when I do or don't get pg in March.

Enjoy the snow everyone! :)

duggs1976 · 12/02/2012 10:35

euro remind me - what are your thoughts on IVF?

eurochick · 12/02/2012 10:47

duggs I am coming round to the idea. A couple of months ago it was still freaking me out. It's still not how I want it to happen, but at this point I just want to be pregnant. And I really do feel that this month something was trying to implant and I would love to have had a camera inside to see what was actually going on. IVF kind of gives you a kind of window to the process. It'll show if Mr euro's sperm can fertilise my eggs and if the two can combine to make good quality embryos. If a good quality blastocyst fails to implant it will go some way to confirming that it is implantation that is the problem. But I am concerned that IVF won't work if that is the case. Why would it be any different to the embryos I think I am making myself?

How are you feeling now?

Stogan · 12/02/2012 11:08

Hi all sorry not been on been lurking but soooo busy ! Plus hubby took me on a valentines date last night, went out at 5 and home by 8.15, hardcore but it was nice.
Yes digi I had scan on fri and baby is a very healthy 6lb 3oz approx so I'm looking at about 8lb 5oz if I go full term but I'm seeing consultant in 2 weeks as they seem to think he may want to induce me so he can keep an eye on me after everything we have been through, what do u all think about this???
Saw babys iccle face tho, all squished up and cute, I'm totally in love !!!
My sister and friend are throwing a baby shower for me today, I'm dreading it. I know it's so nice of them but it's like now, after 36 weeks, Im eventually admitting I'm having a baby !

Sorry for lack of personals, am still catching up on reading the thread !! XxSmile

snoopygirl · 12/02/2012 11:12

AAh stogan so happy for you, that choked me up. xx

Stogan · 12/02/2012 11:16

Ha ha snoopy don't, I was sobbing while typing, reckon I'll be a bit of a mess today at this bloomin shower !! Grin x

snoopygirl · 12/02/2012 11:24

Hung over this morning. Had dinner round friends last night and took champagne as DH has been offered new job so thought good excuse to celebrate. Friend immediatley said "are you pregnant!!. She has 3 kids and like you said Stogan they don't get it. If it ever happens, I'll certainly wont be jumping up and down announcing it like that with champagne! Only we can relate to that feeling.

PQ it was me who went to Florida over Christmas and I took some of the drugs in bag (just enough for couple of days) and rest in hold. No one said anything or checked. Did keep pescription on me though and letter from Dr S. the only thing they had problem with at Orlando airport was the Christmas Pudding I took over for my Mum. They wanted to know every bloody ingrediant, whether it was animal suet or vegtable! weren't interested I was packing half a chemist!!
I didnt need it in the end but if you google Intralipid Infusion Florida you'll get loads of clinics come up that offer the service.

snoopygirl · 12/02/2012 11:28

Oh god just let it all out stuff em! They make think your a hormonal crazy wreck but who cares Grin you deserve to have a blub. Let us know how it goes. x

lisacn · 12/02/2012 11:30

euro sorry AF turned up.

Pico have they given you misoprostol ?? to soften your cervix and to start things off. Sadly the likes of Bupa don't want to part with the money you have given them for situations like this, I grew up in Auckland NZ but also lived Perth.

Stogan · 12/02/2012 11:35

Will do, cheers snoopy xxWink

duggs1976 · 12/02/2012 11:52

Enjoy it stogan. fantasy heaven. Poor Whitney Houston - 48 is no age although feels like she's been around a lot longer. euro the way I see it is that the super ov gives a window into your uterine lining. It also gets your eggs out onto the table, so to speak. It lines them up there and then - as many months worth lined up in one go. Then all those attempts are decided in 3 to 5 days and you are left with x amount of embryos that make the grade. If 0 make it then I figured id rather know there and then rather than dedicating more months/ yrs to this heartaching journey. That is my philosophy on it anyway. There is a reason some ladies are getting pg on here within 3 cycles and some aren't and it is more than just luck. I'm not saying IVF is next step for everyone, but it is a pretty decisive step.

duggs1976 · 12/02/2012 11:54

Sorry ladies - super ov
Gives window to uterine lining. BUT IVF gives the window to the eggs and subsequent embryos. I missed out a few key words in last post.

snoopygirl · 12/02/2012 12:18

good luck for testing duggs lets hope IUI has done the trick for you this time. Everythings crossed x

freelancegirl · 12/02/2012 12:55

A quick check in from me in my last couple of days of holiday?. PQ definitely take the holiday opportunity! Like Snoopy I took my letters from Mr S as precaution and also the boxes of meds (if I had them) so they would look more official but no-one batted an eyelid. I think it?s obvious that, even though there are a lot of meds, they are not in ?drug dealer? quantities. Imagine some of the quantiies of pills some of the old folk in Florida are popping anyway! Probably way more than our piddly little arsenals.

If you did have to have intralipids there we could call the clinic in LA that I used and see if they know who does them in Florida. It took me ages to find someone in LA but they really knew their stuff so would prob have a good idea. Where are you going in Europe and when? Not somewhere too cold and snowy I hope.

I am already thinking, if I had my way, I would head straight to see mum and dad in Spain once I get home to the UK. I can't though, I have to get serious about work. Am dreading the cold weather and I have nothing to wear. I think I associate most thngs at home (cold, my clothes, any food?) with feeling nauseaous at the moment and I need to get back home and realise that it wasn?t the place/clothing/people etc that made me feel nauseous but the pregnancy and the Cyclogest!

Sorry about AF Euro. I can?t imagine how frustrating it must be after all this time.

Duggs, watching you carefully!

Stogan, 36 weeks?!! Agggh!!! It?s so exciting. Wish we were coming to your baby shower with you! It would be an emotional one that?s for sure.

Snoopy, sorry about the inconsiderate friends and the champagne comment. People just don?t have a clue do they. With this pregnancy friends who have already had kids have been telling me from the off about how I would feel in the first trimester. I felt like saying I?ve had five bloody first trimesters and this is my third in a year ? I KNOW how it bloody well feels to be pregnant! But they just can?t understand can they. And actually now in the second trimester they can start advising me?

Hope things are progressing ok Pico. I have to say I found my ERPC much easier than a natural one. It was at the local hospital and arranged within two days of confirming I needed one.

Re health care, I do have Aviva with DH?s work but never been able to use it for anything and it doesn?t cover anything to do with pregnancy EXCEPT if I needed a C section for medical reasons apparently ? found this out the other day.

Big waves to all, back in the cold and snow on Tuesday xx
