You don't like steak cupcakes Shock Your lunch sounds lovely, though :)

There's a place near me that charges £1.50 per cupcake maybe but it's not a very good ? it's always plain, dry sponge with flavoured icing, which is cheating imho. My SIL makes cakes and sells them on a sort of semi-professional around-work type thing, and charges £3 each iirc, but they're worth every penny. She does a lot of weddings and birthdays I think. She also makes the most amazing birthday cake I've ever eaten ? it's the same type of heavy, fluffy sponge and icing as shop-bought birthday cakes, but it tastes sooooo much better.

Imps I'm so sorry to hear about your SIL :( But you're right, you won't get to that point! I think it's pretty rare, and you're only on cycle 8 is that right? You're technically not even ?reduced fertility? yet, or whatever the phrase is :o Sorry AF has shown up though ? next month will be The Month!

How exciting bean ! Is DS having a party?

Sorry about the BFN Stasi - what's the new test date? :)

My digestive system is going haywire today Confused

BeedleTheBard · 08/02/2012 09:32

OOh stasi big late temp rise you say, sounds promising completely ignores her previous advice to not look at one temp in isolation maybe booking an HSG is enough to ensure your BFP Grin

sorry its CD1 imps

sweetie enjoy your evening out

me I'm 13dpo today, had a bit of pink CM this morning (TMI alert) but we had had SFF so maybe that caused it, doesn't ususally happen though

Its nice an quiet in the office today so plenty of time to catch up Grin

beangrower · 08/02/2012 10:10

Hang on in there Stasi and keep warm. BFP coming right up.

Beedle - hi there SWIer.

Imps - saw you were a bit worried about your ov pains. You know this sounds a bit mad but if they're as bad again just go to ER. Can you poss' get a scan and get GP on board for an early HsG?

Short cycle for moi - saw a bit of pink when I wiped this morning. But only CD22... Last time AF arrived on eve of CD25 which felt pretty short too. I'm not too worried as I think I usually ov around cd12 so 12/13-day LP is just about long enough. (I'm going with the assumption that a BFP can't even be on the cards until late April/May when SA should have improved and HsG will have tricked my tubes; helps relax me too.)

Yes Pop - DS is having a little bash. Hope to actually do some planning. Anyone here want to make the cake?

beangrower · 08/02/2012 10:12

BTW Maybe - good SWI Grin but can't see your temps on that chart for some reason.

whimsicalname · 08/02/2012 10:25

bean I hadn't realised your little one was so, well, little. Like your friend, my first 2 were 2 years (almost exactly) apart, which seemed like a good idea at the time. In retrospect, it was lunacy. It was a very tough year having a 2 year old and a baby. Even though we've been trying for a repeat performance, I'm starting to think that 3 years might be a more sensible age difference for us.

I imagine your son looks so grown up to you now? It certainly did with my first, but really at 2 they're still babies. In years to come, you'll look back at your beautiful boy and enjoy the time you had with him when he was little, and marvel at how young other people's two year olds seem.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 08/02/2012 10:32

That's strange Bean when I click on the link it seems ok Hmm I give up recording anything other than temps after ov day [lazy]

Pop that is the exact same thing I want to do. Though I would quite like to bake artisan breads and pies too. And I read today that marshmallows are the new cupcakes....

Stasi sorry about the BFN, but that temp rise looks very promising!! Fingers crossed for that BFP soon.

I think I am trying to over analyse my chart, think I am just going to have to wait and see what happens

Looks like we are going to get more snow everyone!! Lets all hope for a friday snow day Grin

NoMaybeAboutIt · 08/02/2012 10:33

Sorry Bean totally forgot to mention about your LP. I know Scrambled is going through a similar thing. But could it be that infamous and ever elusive implantation bleed?? Grin

CupcakesAndCocktails · 08/02/2012 10:54

Imps enjoy AF if at all possible get DH waiting on you and eat lots of cakes as this is the last time she will be visiting for a long long time. So sorry to hear about your BIL & SIL. Did I read they were successful once? Don't worry about that, you will get your baby. You are still well within the "normal" amount of time it takes to get pregnant.

Maybe I'll come into the cake business with you! I do make a lot of cakes for people especially at DH and my work. I don't think I would be able to do it properly as I don't think I would get health and safety approved cos of my dog. I don't feel comfortable charging people for the cakes but I often get bought a nice little present instead Smile

Sweetie sorry about the bfn but it's just too early to test. Are you going to wait till Friday?

I'm so glad I haven't become an outcast due to my dislike of steak. I'm not a big meat eater, but I do make an effort to eat it most nights. As it all tastes the same to me I don't see the point in wasting lots of money on steak when I'm just as happy with a chicken breast Grin

Im plodding on with the CBFM, I'm on my 5th day of high reading and have duly been dtd even though it's too early for ovulation. I have got ewcm this morning thank god cos I'm worried we are going to run out of steam soon!

Waves to Pop, Whim and Bean

CupcakesAndCocktails · 08/02/2012 10:59

Oohh Bean here's hoping it's the infamous implantation bleed! On a positive note if your LP is long enough at least with shorter cycles you get more goes at winning the golden egg Wink

Imps7 · 08/02/2012 11:28

Bleeding has stopped for now - this makes more sense with the temps - I think I will just spot today and tomorrow I will have the dip below the coverline and full on flow. A 14 day LP though - I'll take that as a bonus!

Hmmm, Bean, pink CM you say? On 9 or 10 DPO you say? Hellooooo implantation....and Beedle too!!! So many BFPs to look forward to!

I'm not too worried about bad OV pain esp as some of the girls who replied to a thread I posted about it had had nothing untoward showing up on investigation. If I'm not diffed by August I'll trot along to the GP and mention it then methinks.

Maybe I can't see your temps either - it just takes me to the login page for your mobile site...

PopcornMouse · 08/02/2012 11:30

I'm sorry, but this woman did not give birth a month ago Shock that was totally a fake bump, I bet it's JayZ's love child or something :o

cupcakes it gave me a long "high" reading too, something like 9 days iirc? Maybe you should pace yourselves :o

That sounds great maybe you should totally go with it. Is there scope to start doing it from home around work to begin with? :d

PopcornMouse · 08/02/2012 11:32

I can't find the link for maybe's chart Blush

That's definitely a lovely LP Imps :)

NoMaybeAboutIt · 08/02/2012 11:32

How bizarre!! That'll teach me for uplaoding on my Blackberry!

How about this

Imps if I remember correctly, a very similar thing happened to Musical....

Cupcakes you can have a medal fow dedicated swi Grin

PopcornMouse · 08/02/2012 11:36

That takes me to the main FF homepage maybe - you need to hover over "sharing" and then "view", and that's the link to post :)

NoMaybeAboutIt · 08/02/2012 11:38

A ha!! tada

BeedleTheBard · 08/02/2012 11:41

I still can't see it maybe

I'm feeling a bit left out that I don't have a chart to share because I just chart with pencil and paper, not FF, so I'm going to share this instead - its the weather forecast for the next 10 days - its getting warmer Grin

So imps implantation bleed????

BeedleTheBard · 08/02/2012 11:42

X-post maybe

cakes82 · 08/02/2012 11:42

Hi Everyone.
Just been to Drs and visit wasn't quite what I expected. I gave her the dates of last af and also when I did my pg tests. She says i'm 6wks tomorrow. She asked had I had any spotting which I did before the pg tests which I took as implantation, but because of this she has sent me for an early scan Confused
She has also sorted paperwork for me to register with midwives :)
The scan bit has confused me, I don't know if its a precaution because of having had treatment after abnormal smear or what to think.

I'm glad Pop digestive system irregularities may actually be normal!

I don't feel particularly pg other than not sleeping very well at all, so maybe scan on Friday will help me feel better.
Doesn't help dh made a really peculiar comment last night. We were talking about what happens after drs, midwife at 8-10wks and scan at 12wks. He turned round and said don't you have a scan earlier to prove theres a baby there!! If it wasn't so late when he said it I think I would have got upset and now to have to have this scan as well :(

NoMaybeAboutIt · 08/02/2012 11:51

Oh Cakes I wouldn't worry, I would take it as a very good thing that your GP has sent you for a nice early scan so you can see bean! Maybe she also wants to check your dates because of the spotting? I wouldn't worry at all. And ignore your DH, men just say ridiculous things sometimes!! All will be well, don't you worry.

Loving your forecast Beedle Grin

PopcornMouse · 08/02/2012 11:53

I wouldn't worry cakes I'm sure they're just being precautious - I'd love an early scan! :o When is it?

Today I feel properly poo cakes - I have a jabby pain in my fanjo which I had on 12dpo so I assume it's just kernal burrowing in, I feel nauseaus and I have wind and digestive problems Blush but I wouldn't change it for the world

That's a really nice chart maybe you really nice big temp change at ovulation, mine's always a bit is-it-isn't-it :o It's looking really promising. With your +OPK and missing temps, though, I wouldn't be surprised if you ov'd the day after the crosshair?

Imps7 · 08/02/2012 11:56

But my temperature, girls, don't forget my temperature! It's going down! Tease not with your implantation suggestions Grin. This is why I love temping - takes some of the guesswork out of TTC.

Fret not with the early scan Cakes - I believe it's routine to refer esp if spotting. Also, don't worry about DH's comment - he's probably just trying to learn about everything and getting confused :)

Stasi · 08/02/2012 11:58

Time for a quick catch-up post.

bean I'm hoping the HSG will have a magic effect on DH's swimmers, but for me the big bonus will be ruling out damage to my tubes from the very extensive abdominal surgery I had. I've got a 6 inch scar from my belly button toward the left, and they did lots of rooting around in there removing something like 20 lymph nodes as well as the resection. If I get the all clear for nice clean tubes, I'm happy to wait and try a bit longer for a natural BFP, before maybe looking into self funded IUI.

Sweetie looking forward to you confirming.

Imps so sorry about your SIL. It's hard feeling someone else is lucky when they're being so unlucky, but having the money available must make it easier for them in a way, knowing they don't have to give up unless they want to. You'll get a natural BFP soon, so there's no need to worry though!

Maybe when are you confirming the obvious? Temps rising yesterday is a good sign, also, the strange food combinations must be a pg symptom! You originally shared your personal chart link, not your sharing one. I loaded it up and got all excited because it looks the same as mine? oh, it is mine :)

Imps sorry about CD1, still, onwards and upwards. Next month will be your month!

Popcorn new test day is tomorrow, according to FF. I'll only test if I don't get a temp plummet though. Can a result change in 24 hours, or would it be best to wait till Fri/Sat? Chart is here.

cakes I'm so sorry people are making you worry. The doctor will be working out the dates based on the 'normal' ovulation dates etc. So what you know was (eg) 5DPO she's thinking is 12DPO and therefore may be a worry. I'm sure everything is fine, you're a brooker, and you've got all us brookers behind you. As for your DH - maybe he just doesn't know what to expect, and thought the first scan was for that reason?

PopcornMouse · 08/02/2012 12:00

Imps my temperature was barely above my baseline when I got my BFP :o

cakes82 · 08/02/2012 12:01

Thank you Maybe and Pop I'd have gone mad if it wasn't for this forum.
Scan is on Friday aft, they offered me a scan tomorrow morning but it was too complicated to alter work to go even tho I'd have got answer quicker. Bean might just about have an obvious heartbeat, so that will be good :)

PopcornMouse · 08/02/2012 12:01

I've no idea stasi but those are some good temps, my fingers are firmly crossed :)
