Morning all on this chilly morning!

Imps I love that yarn bobbing. We have a book on it in our lab that someone bought Grin

Beedle most definitely a preggo symptom. You couldn't be more upduffed.

Pop ignore DH (I like to do this quite regularly Grin ) You eat what you like and make the most of it incase the morning sickness starts soon

Whims those shoes are immense. The comfiest pair if shoes I have ever owned were from Clarks.

Bean Angry at your friend. Though I do believe the male of the species tend to suffer from putyourfootinititis. It's a medical condition Wink

Sweetie hope all goes well today.

Smegs was it yesterday you were seeing Dr W? Hope it all went well.

Cakes any news?

Generic hope the GP gives you some answers today. Best to get it all sorted so that you are back in tip top smacking action.

I am about to upload some pics of my socks on to my profile. I have also had a sneaky peek at the spoiler for the first yarn of my new sock club. It looks amazing, purples and oranges! It's always the small things.....

Those with temping knowledge, is your temp meant to keep rising until AF, or does it level off/dip at some point?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 03/02/2012 09:34

Oh Olives cross-posts. Sorry to hear you are feeling so stressed with work, it must be such a huge responsibility looking after so many ill people all at once. Stress definitely doesn't help with swi does it. Have you got any time off coming up soon? Hopefully you do so you can de-stress and enjoy some proper time with DH.

I hope all goes well with the consultant today, we are all brooking for you Smile

cakes82 · 03/02/2012 09:45

Sorry I haven't been posting last few days, I just haven't seemed to have the time to do anything except read the posts. I have day off today so going to rectify that.

I did a pg test this morning and unless my eyes were deceiving me I got 2 lines so a BFP
Told dh I think he's still in shock tho bless him cause he wants me to be cautiously optomistic and do another test before we accept its real. I had a grin like a cheshire cat and I'm afraid he took the shine off it a little. Internet calculators reckon i'm 5weeks today. I have a clear blue digital with the conception indicator so will use that tomorrow and see if it agrees :o

Biscuitsandtea · 03/02/2012 09:50

Congratulations Cakes Grin

We'll join you in grinning like Cheshire cats and look forward to that CBD result tomorrow Grin

NoMaybeAboutIt · 03/02/2012 09:58

Oh Cakes that's fantastic news Grin well done you. That CBD will most definitely agree, then DH can get really excited too. So pleased for you Grin Hope you enjoy your day off!

ScarlettInSpace · 03/02/2012 10:09

cakes thats fab news!! This is a lucky month for the thread lol!

I'm working at home today again thank goodness so can catch up with you all properly.

Huge bit of mememe warning: had my appt with specialist yesterday, he has referred me on for an internal ultra sound thingy [HCS or something] judging by my usual cycle it will be in about 2 weeks. He was leaning towards laparoscopy as he thinks it is likely there will be something wrong with my remaining tube [I lost one when I had an ectopic years ago and they thought it may have been because the tube was kinked, either naturally or due to infection they didn't know how].

He said we will do this first as all laparoscopy will do more than this is check the ovaries and he thinks if anything it will be tubal. He said if it is tubal he will probably offer us fast forward referral to IVF which is something I don't want to think about just yet.

However just as possible its all fine but said I have to remember to halve my TTC time given only one tube so in real terms we've not been trying a year yet [which was positive way to look at it].

He was a nice guy, spent nearly an hour talking to us, he also said that as OH's kids don't live with us we should still qualify for 1 go at IVF if required [which was good for OH to hear cos he was feeling very bad about his kids potentially being a barrier to me having one].

bean he told us 4% is considered normal now so there's a little more reassurance for you! He was drawing us loads of pictures of sperms, healthy and otherwise haha!

He was also really pleased OH was there as although it's me that has been referred, as far as he is concerned he is treating us as a couple and asked if OH could make sure he gets a copy of the SA later this month so he can give OH a full explanation [rather than just the topline a GP would give].

Overall he didn't tell me much I didn't know already [mainly from here!] but was reassuring to talk it through with an expert, OH seems to have a much better grip on the whole situation now too so that's good.

And OH's uncomfortable seat-shifting when we started to have a conversation about mucus hahahah was priceless Grin

Right enough about me, I'm off to read back over a nice cup of decaf xx

OMG DO WE HAVE ANOTHER BFP????? Get in there Cakes!!! What a FAB start to the 2012 BFP tally!!!

How many DPO do you think you are?? You were getting lots of BFNs before, weren't you?

ScarlettInSpace · 03/02/2012 10:21
PopcornMouse · 03/02/2012 10:30

OMG cakes ! I knew it :o Congratulations!! Don't let DH take the shine off it, it's great news and you're entitled to beam like an idiot for the next 8 months. I am apparently 5+4 so we are almost bump buddies :o
We're on a roll, ladies! Who's next, who's next? :o

Sorry you're having such a crap time olives :( Is there anything that can be done to ease the burden on the ward (are you short staffed or anything?) or is it just the nature of an emergency room?
Stress is not conducive to ttc, but it's bad for you overall, too ? make sure you get plenty of time to chill when you're at home and get DH to pamper you a bit :o

scarlett it sounds like your appointment was really positive. I am sure the HSG (?) will show a lovely glowing tube in two weeks, but it's really good that you'll be fast tracked for NHS IVF if not.

5+4 4+4 Blush

Imps7 · 03/02/2012 10:33

Irritating woman who I share my office with is out at a meeting this morning so I can't spend some quality time on MN - hurrah!

Scarlett your specialist sounds fab - must be reassuring to know that he's on your side. When do you think you'll get an appointment for the fanjo cam (is that what it is? Or is the fanjo cam something different??) Wny does he think that there's a tubal issue, or does he not necessarily think that at this stage and just wants to check? My OH is surprisingly okay with me telling him about fertile cervical mucus - he did wince at "pant snot" though so I don't think he's ready for full on MN lingo!

Maybe my temp stays high until the day before AF when it drops slightly and then on AF day it takes a nosedive to below coverline. Are you tempting again now? Hope Otis is no longer inclined to treat your fanjometer as a play thing/snack.

Olives, god your work sounds horribly trying at the moment. Are there other options you could look into? Hope you've got some leave coming up soon - sounds like you need it.

-13 Beedle, bloody hell!

I'm 8 or 9 DPO today - no symptoms over and above the usual this cycle at all - it's so bloody boring. I 100% know that I'm not diffed this month - just have that feeling - so am plotting next month's SWI already - hopefully egg will pop on a Sunday, which will be nice!

Imps7 · 03/02/2012 10:35
NoMaybeAboutIt · 03/02/2012 10:41

Grin Grin Imps they are the best types of cartwheels!! I am temping again, I am 6DPO apparently, and my temp keeps climbing, was worried I may spontaneously combust Grin

Scarlett that all sounds very positive. Don't worry about not thinking about the IVF yet, the chances are your tube will be lovely and tube-like, and that it is only a matter of time. So pleased you got all the answers you needed.

Imp you do realise that not thinking you are pregnant this month in fact means that you are? Grin

scarletfingernail · 03/02/2012 10:45
BeedleTheBard · 03/02/2012 11:07

yeah cakes you come here and Grin with us GrinGrinGrin

imps no symptoms is a symptom just ask pop Grin

maybe temps that continue to rise sounds positive to me Grin

oh and thanks for teh slanket and mittens, much appreciated

gotta go now, laters

PopcornMouse · 03/02/2012 11:22
Imps7 · 03/02/2012 11:24

Hmmm I would agree with you Maybe and Beedle if I hadn't had no symptoms and a feeling of not being pregnant so many times before! I've already moved on from this cycle - not particularly upset about it, just a bit flat and a bit impatient! Oh well, only 3 weeks until the next egg pops and this time I shall be ready for her!

Stasi · 03/02/2012 11:40

Cakes Congratulations!!! I knew all it needed was an agreeable pee stick. I think you should be smiling today, it is good to get a confirmation test with a nice digital one, but that's just more smiles tomorrow, not less today!

I'm distracted from work thinking about BFPs. I've just been examining my chart and if I change my ov date then I maybe got a bit of an implantation dip yesterday, at 5DPO. However, it didn't drop below, or to, baseline. Also FF thinks I ov'd two days earlier. I have no symptoms at all, but did do a bit of a headstand after SWI on CD15, the day of my +OPK, and again on CD17, just before what I think is the 'real' temp rise for ov.

I really need to get back to working, but am waiting for an email and using my time unwisely on Mumsnet.

Waves to everyone else. I read the thread earlier on the bus, but have now forgotten most of what I read.

cakes82 · 03/02/2012 13:11

Not sure about carrot cake, I've asked dh for ginger biscuits mainly because I like them a lot lol

Thank you all for your congratulations, you have kept me sane since I joined this thread and I hope you will continue to.

Imps well done on the smacketeer horse skills and the gymnastics :o

Pop bump buddies sounds good

Leaves carrot cake for pop and cupcakes for everyone else

Imps7 · 03/02/2012 13:19

Your chart and CM are really interesting Stasi - really different to the other months that are showing! I've read a number of times that continued EWCM/watery CM has been a symptom of diffedness!! Eeeek how exciting!

Ginger biscuits are an essential part of early pregnancy Cakes - have as many packets as you want!!

beangrower · 03/02/2012 13:22

Imps - those are the best kind of cartwheel - Arabian flip, no (to give the technical term)?!

Many, many congrats Cakes - that's fantastic work Smacketeers! There are bound to be more BFPs queuing up then: we are all egging each other on. GET IT??!!! ho ho.

Stasi - what's your plan re' how much SWI to have? I'm thinking to abstain for a few days before evening of +OPK? [Confesses that she is on eBay looking for a CBFM with the realisation that this might help her decide when not to have sex!]

Scarlett - incredibly positive consultation no? So glad you like the man - makes a huge diff. Laughed at your OH and the snail-trail toe curls. I know IVF is daunting but hopefully it's reassuring too? (Yes 4% is ok I realise, but we need motility to go up from 20% to about 40%... Will be interesting to see if no booze/acu' works. [Bless his cotton socks.])

Feel much calmer about TTC. Guess there's a sense that we are now doing everything we can together, as couple (even if it took me nearly a year to convince DP that he needed to make a few changes)... Plus my cousin's ectopic reminded me of my blessings. I do lose perspex sometimes.

Yes - putyourgreatlumberinghoofinititis Maybe - Grin I have told him off and forgiven him and he is babysitting tonight now. Ha.

Lovely morning for us rambling in the woods, meeting lots of pups and eating chips and snarlers - DS now knackered and happily crashed out. Victory. Back to work in freezing Bean towers for moi then.

Lots of luff to preggos and preggos-to-be.

beangrower · 03/02/2012 13:50

ps Olives - yes let's hope we're lucky Scorps this month! Actually any time this year will do.

Beedle - keep yourself warm, esp' hands, feet and the oven, IFYWIM - where your bun is due to turn up any minute now. Grin

beangrower · 03/02/2012 13:52

Oh and meant to say Pop - like Olives my pg appetite was greatest during first trimester then settled down to normal. My weight dropped fairly quickly - was down to size 12 in about 3 months after birth and I'm now a small size 10 (running around after a toddler and SWIing too much!) Lots of good food for you in the next few months - you deserve every calorie
