duggs1976 · 17/01/2012 22:21

hey ladies,

There are a few of us who are ttc after mc's, however there will be ladies out there who are also ttc for the first time or second or third without success. If anyone is on, considering or had success on a super ovulation programme then do join us. How long did it take ? Did you try IUI with it.. ? Did you have PCOS?

Kicking this off and hoping some of you will join....

Morning,

Yes it's starting to get to me a bit pebbles. Dr S says stop pred at 10dpo but I still don't get that if alot of people don't get a +ve until 13/14. It's 10dpo on sat and would love to stop then. Last time in Jan I got pregnant properly- albeit a chem in end- I stopped at 10dpo and then had to quickly get some 40mg down me? So what to do, as would dearly love to stop it on Sat as sleep in rubbish again.
Also I have had to start on the Omeprazole as had crippling tummy ache and had to rush to loo yesterday. Today I have taken another as have stabbing pains again although on right side.

Take some Cyclogest pebbles that might help.

How is jaffa?

Sorry moaning again!

Pebbles73 · 27/03/2012 13:07

Yes Snoopy 10dpo seems v early! What a pain (literally) re the stomach ache, hope that stuff sorts it out for you.
I popped some cyclogest last night and this morning, still no surge though..,,.

snoopygirl · 27/03/2012 13:31

When you say surge pebbles do you mean getting a line on a ov stick? Or is there a more sophistication test for it?

It certainly is complicated, friends who pop them out willy nilly just haven't a clue.

Pebbles73 · 27/03/2012 21:21

Yes sometimes they call line on an ov stick your surge (lh surge). We
haven't heard from Jaffa for a bit, hope all is going well though.

Must be amazing to just have sex, get pregnant and have a baby at he end if it!!

duggs1976 · 29/03/2012 10:40

How r things pebbles? Any updates from any other SO peeps? I'm at acupuncturists on Harley street. Egg collection tomorrow x

OP posts:
Pebbles73 · 29/03/2012 13:52

Hi Duggs seems to have gone quite here at the mo. still no line for me on ov sticks so if nothing tomorrow start down regging next Tuesday with embryo transfer beggining of May. Seems a long way off but guess it will soon come round.
Hope all goes well tomorrow and try not to worry, let us know how many eggs you get :)

Havingkittens · 29/03/2012 14:05

Yeah, sorry, no time to post..... too busy shagging Wink Grin

Trigger shot yesterday so a busy few days ahead.

Best of luck tomorrow. I have visions of you waking up in a hen house and someone coming in in the morning and shuffling around to see how many eggs you've laid. lol.

snoopygirl · 29/03/2012 14:07

Loads of good luck duggs for tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you.

And you too pebbles for your surge! Why can't you wait for the surge then? Don't understand (sorry you've prob had to explain a million times to family and friends the procedure!).

Said on other thread that booked hol to Brittany from Sunday so hopefully that will jinx me into a bfp and I'll be panicking not being about to have Intralipids for a week. somehow don't think i'll be that lucky though! we can but hope..

duggs1976 · 29/03/2012 15:18

THANKS ladies.. chocolate easter eggs if you don't mind and hot cross buns.. that is all I fancy these days. Not good for my (non existent) 7 mth pred scarred waistline. Wasn't much of one before. ~~(sceptical) also (wine) I want a cold wine in the sun.

Will let you know how I get on.
Looking for the surge pebbles, kittens get a shaggin' and snoopy enjoy France.. I love France.. northern France lovely too.. chocolate croissants and cheese and du pain... (grin)

OP posts:
Pebbles73 · 29/03/2012 18:47

Kittens I don't envy you all that shagging, good luck! Grin

It's a bit hit and miss when you try to do a natural frozen cycle Snoopy. Firstly if my surge came over the weekend cycle is abandoned as nobody there to call and thaw embryos. Also converting to a medicated cycle means you have to start injections for down regulation on day 21 of your cycle which is Tuesday. The chances are I have ovulated already but if you have pcos often ovulation sticks won't work due to hormone imbalances. Anyway nothing is ever easy for me ttc and there is normally a setback of some kind! Not feeling sorry for myself much and of course I don't mind explaining.

Good for you booking a holiday it's just like double daring that test to be positive! I do the same and have been looking at Mexico in June. :)

Will be thinking of you tomorrow Duggs.

snoopygirl · 29/03/2012 21:15

Ohh pebbles shit - tears rolling down here. I'm so sorry it's so bloody hard for you and all of us on here. But the IVF must be such a massive decision, and all the cost implications. You would have thought cycles being unpredictable some staff would be there over weekend??? Or else it screws it all up?
I do have a bit of understanding as my sister has been through it. She has a 5 yr old frostie Smile. You can't keep your life on hold. We all feel I'm sure this has taken over everything for God knows how many years. You deserve a break. I've never been to Mexico it sounds fab.

Good luck duggs for tomorrow. Let hope there's plenty of good eggs to store.
Oh *kittens that's funny. It's tough all this swi to order. Get back to us when done and dusted and got your energy back!!

Pebbles73 · 29/03/2012 22:24

Oh bless you snoopy, you are all so lovely on here and is good to have people to talk to who understand. We are all going through this crap at the mo and I just hope we all hurry up and get to the end of it.

My ivf is on the nhs so at least it's not costing anything!!

Pebbles73 · 30/03/2012 18:27

I saw on the pred thread Duggs that you got 19 eggs, that's fantastic. Grin will keep fc that lots fertilise and hope you are having a nice rest today.

I didn't get my surge today so defo medicated cycle although stupidly forgot to phone clinic to confirm this!!

Abney · 30/03/2012 21:05

Hi all, Hope you are OK. This is the first chance I have had to post. I had my first SO scan on Tuesday and there was 2 eggs/follicles and my lining was fine so all in all everything as expected. Took the trigger shot later on in the day (bit tricky). Had to call them up as I didn't even know where to put it i.e. leg, tummy, etc. Then came the hardest bit which from all of the comments I have read is a bit of a nightmare. Some of your comments have made me laugh Grin. It is a bit like a military operation trying to get together with DH. I told him that he would be wasting my money if he didn't do his bit and that I would ask him to refund it if he didn't do the job.

DUGGS - well done on your egg collection. I don't know much about IVF but it soulds alotSmile.

I have a few questions that I am hoping that someone can help me with. I am confused about the dates as well. DR S said that I should do a preg test 10 days from the day after the trigger shot. I think that would be next Friday but what I am a bit confused about is that I wouldn't expect to start my period until about the 12th/13th. So if I test next Friday I would surely be testing a week before my due date. Dr S said that if I did not test pos then I should stop taking the pred. There have been many occasions during my normal cycles without SO where I have tested neg and then a pos so I am confused.com. I am also confused about the false/positive issue due to the druggs. Can anyone help. I think Snoopygirl has the same issue. If it tests neg next Friday then I don't think I will stop the pred until the fat lady sings i.e I start my monthly. Just worth mentioning I think that most of my 'failed' pregnancies it has looked as if I am starting my period even to the extent I have worn a pad only for a couple of days later to find out I am preg. So unless you are sure I think you should always take the pred. Smile

Pebbles73 · 31/03/2012 10:04

Hi Abney glad you ad two good follies and assume you can relax now having done plenty of swi. :)
Mr S does ask us to test v early and I think some people on here wait a bit longer including myself. Have only done one cycle of super ov but I waited until 12 days after trigger shot and then did another one two days later just to be sure before stopping the pred. I know Sue can only take the pred for 10 days so has to test then but most of us take it for 14 days.
I think the trigger shot takes about 8 days to leave the system but someone else on here maybe able to confirm that.hope that helps.

Will be checking for news from Duggs.

How long until you test Snoopy?

snoopygirl · 31/03/2012 11:44

pebbles sorry about no surge does that mean down regging now? What happens next?

abney 10dpo and negative. but last two pregs didn't show line until 12 dpo and 14 so what to do.........in same boat as you. Think I'll try to keep on taking for another couple of days.

duggs brilliant result

I'm off to wedding at 2 and wont get back till 10 and got to be up at 5 to get ferry to France at 8! So busy packing etc. Might try to take laptop with me. Don't want to miss any baby anoucement from digi and how you get on duggs

Screwed up and have no Letrozole as thought I had repeat perscription but no and clinic or nlc didn't get back to me yesterday! So no SO for me this month!! bugger.

Abney · 01/04/2012 08:41

Dear Snoopy and Pebbles, thank you for all of the advice. So Snoopy you could still be pregnant? I will keep my fingers crossed for you. I can see Havingkittens is 2 days behind me. When I go back to work on Tues after Easter I will know one way or another as I will be 14 DPO. Sometimes I have had to test in the toilets at work and then had to hide my smile (albeit they all ended in MC). Please let it be a smile on the Tuesday Smile. In all 10/11 pregnancies I have rarely got a BFP before due date. If it is a BFP this time I have asked to have intralipids but when I went for scan Dr S forgot to mention it. I am assuming that it would be unlikely for me to get an appointment the same day. Does anyone know how successful they are? Originally Dr S's colleague at the NHS said they can come to your house. Not sure how true this is. Have a nice day everyone.

Havingkittens · 02/04/2012 09:24

Hi abney, I think they are pretty good at arranging intralipids at short notice as, in all cases, you really don't have much time to plan the first session ahead of time due to the circumstances. And yes, you can arrange for them to come to your house. I don't know if they do this if you're seeing him privately or not. I had the same conversation about it re:NHS as they don't actually provide it on the NHS treatment with him from what I remember. But I have vague recollections of reading someone on one of our threads saying he wanted his private patients to come and have it done in the clinic. I may be wrong though. I can't remember whether you're seeing him privately now or on the NHS but maybe have a chat with Louise or Annabella (if on NHS).

Yes, I did my shot on Wednesday so 2 days behind you. I will probably be away over Easter but will try to test on Easter Monday when I will be 10dpo. Should be entertaining trying to test where I will be. It's my OH's family's summer place on the coast and there are usually about 10 of us there so it's hard enough just going for a pee first thing without several people trying to open the loo door, let alone piss in a container and wait for test results!

duggs1976 · 03/04/2012 21:05

Hopefully your saw my update on other pred thread so don't want to vote people. Out of the 19 eggs, 13 fertilised and 4 survived the weekend. Of those 4 - 3 were chromosomally normal and 2 were transferred and 1 frozen. DH and I so relieved Grin now 2 WW. So slow. Waves to everyone. Lazy of me but so exhausted after draining day today.

OP posts:
duggs1976 · 03/04/2012 21:06

Opps "vote" meant "bore" people on my damn iPhone !

OP posts:
Pebbles73 · 04/04/2012 13:34

Poor you Kittens you could really do with some privacy for your testing!! Wishing you lots of luck.

Hey Duggs have been keeping up to date by reading the pred thread. Hope you are taking it nice and easy. :) When do you go back to work?

Has been very quiet in here hope everyone is ok, Snoopy & Jaffa have been very quiet.

duggs1976 · 04/04/2012 15:12

Back at work on Tuesday! Are you waiting for your AF? X

OP posts:
Abney · 04/04/2012 18:01

Hi Duggs. I am back at work Tuesday but I am supposed to test Good Friday being 10DPO. I think it is too early. My monthly is due next Thursday/Friday but I think I will know by Tuesday. I am confused re all of the testing and the false/positives, etc. If it is a BFN on Friday I have seen others test later only for it to turn into a BFP. I have never really tested pos until 1 or 2 days before monthly. What does AF stand for? In regards to the IVF and the 3 embryos do you now know that you had poor egg quality or does the IVF itself make the embryos fail. I just thought that perhaps I may have poor eggs, hence the reason for all of my 10//11 MC's and 1 DS. I bet your mind is only on one thing at the moment. The 2 little gems inside of you. Wishing you all of the luck in the world.

Arianrhod · 04/04/2012 18:16

abney AF is "Aunt Flo" or your menses. I have to watch myself with internet-isms, I catch myself referring to AF and BFP in Real Life. Confuses the heck out of people :)

As for testing I generally don't bother testing until 12dpo as I've never had a reliable positive result before then. But everyone is different, you know your body best abney.

Well I should get my blood test results tomorrow for LH FSH and E2, then Louise can tell me what Mr S thinks of my doing superov. Of course, the results may be so rubbish due to my age that he thinks there's little point, but we shall see.

Abney · 04/04/2012 19:50

Hi Arianrhod, thanks for the post. I would never have guessed AF is "Aunt Flo". Nice way of putting it but I guess we all hate AF. Dr S said test 10dpo and if neg come off pred. Why is he so keen to get people off pred when you can find out that you have a BFP on day 12/14, etc.

What does LH FSH and E2 mean i.e. what are they supposed to show? I am 44 how old are you if you don't mind me asking.
