Those rats are jolly well going to be smacked this cycle and AF shall have arrows, hatred and misery cast upon her! No argument shall be brooked on both points.

Rubbish thread title, apologies.

PopcornMouse · 07/01/2012 14:39

Well done Imps!!! When do you start? :)

PopcornMouse · 07/01/2012 14:41

Ha, maybe that is cute of your DH! And I heartily wish it were true :o

Got to poas this morning, hurrah! (My CBFM)
Fertility: Low (and yet I'm strangely thrilled) :o

Munx · 07/01/2012 16:08

Progress imps progress!

Cd23 here, OPK still madly positive. Did another type of stick, have no idea why as cycles are at least 33 days, obviously negative.

Argh!!!!!!! What is going on?!?!?!?

SweetieDoesIt · 07/01/2012 16:48

Congrats Imps of course this means ironic of most ironic BFP for you my dear. When are you going to confirm this? Wink

Munx you are having a bizarre old time of things. How many days have you been ovulating for???? Are you sure you couldn't possibly be peeing on the wrong type of stick - just a suggestion. Hope the little one is getting better too.

Maybe you do make me laugh, although I did catch my DH about to take one of my folic acids he does love taking a tablet I had to explain what they were for and who they were for. I would have no probs getting him to take men vits.

Pops you are ready steady go for your BFP with the new shag predictor gadget. I can understand the excitement, I was the same when I did my first OPK and got a positive double line. Blush

I am over the news from yesterday, silly really sobbing, snot etc is not very grown up. But DH has been great, very caring and doing little things to cheer me up. He is so great, he will make such a good Dad. Oh gawd I am getting myself going again!!!

Have a lovely Saturday everyone. I am so looking forward to "No likey, no lighty"

Munx · 07/01/2012 17:00

Your turn will come my darling. And you will be fabulous.

Enjoy your sat night tv!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 07/01/2012 17:11

Oh Sweetie you poor thing. I love how our DHs love us even with the snot Grin

Imps congratulations my dear, I am over the moon for you. When can you tell the other job to piss off quit?

Pop this is exciting. I want one now. I have fertility monitor envy Envy Grin

Munx your poor little one. I hope she is on the mend very soon with a nice new tooth to boot. And what is going on with your hormones?

Bak from our walk, and whilst it felt good to be out, I am now suffering for it. But I am bathed and in my PJs already, which is very nice Grin

Yes, where is Smegs?

Oh, and TMI, I have the nastiest wind. Which must mean I am updiffed Hmm

whimsicalname · 07/01/2012 17:30

Great news imps well done. Definitely time for an ironic BFP. I hope I'm in line for one too, having stocked up on nice fitted clothes in the sales.

Anyone doing anything nice tonight? I'm popping round to see a friend with a takeaway as I have to have an exciting (but not baby related) conversation with her. All will be revealed in the next couple of weeks...

NoMaybeAboutIt · 07/01/2012 17:40

Ooooh, Whim I love these types of conversations...... Grin

NoMaybeAboutIt · 07/01/2012 19:44

Musical I am so sorry, I forgot to reply to you! So pleased you hear you and minitune are doing well. Hurrah for scan news!! Ade is gorgeous. I stroke him every now and again Blush

ScrambledSmegs · 07/01/2012 23:42

Oops, sorry Imps, I haven't checked in recently! Congratulations on the new job!

So, I got a Kindle for Christmas and have been nose-deep in loads of books, which is why I haven't been around. I think I've read about 10 in as many days Blush I've also still got some yucky virus with a sore throat and loads of phlegm, and you must all be sick of me whinging about being sick all the time so at least I gave you a break, huh?! Grin

Have I missed anything major? I hope everyone's doing well, assorted DH/P's, DC's and pets all included. And... any BFP's? . Maybe, I'm looking at you - bad wind, eh?

As expected AF put in an appearance on New Year's Day, so it shouldn't have affected my blood test results too badly. It was annoying but I knew it was coming so couldn't complain too much. We haven't been trying very long compared with some, but the fact is that I'm getting a bit dispirited. Hey-ho. I guess you all know what I mean, hit me with that wet fish please. Mackerel would be nice, full of them there Omega 3's n' stuff.

GenericDietCola · 08/01/2012 08:14

Am jealous of your Kindle but I got lots of books for Christmas, so have been reading lots. Keep your spirits up my love, you will get a sticky BFP soon.

Whimsical sounds mysterious and exciting - hope it went well.

I was watching Take me Out, like Sweetie!

Munx weird re all your positive OPKs but maybe you are updiffed and it's too early for the inferior other peesticks to tell. Or you are having a Popcorn style cycle and taking a long time to gear up for ov?

Imps what marvellous news - well done! Hope you can tell your current employer to get stuffed very soon and you will get your ironic BFP to boot!

I was in severe pain on Friday and Saturday so ended up at the emergency GP yesterday. He has diagnosed an infection and prescribed antibiotics, which seem to be working as the pain has subsided a bit this morning. Hope I'm back to normal soon so I can get preggo again asap. DH isn't sure about trying again as he can't cope with the disappointment of mc, but I think we are agreed to try once more, so this one has got to be the one. Anyone got any suggestions for improving egg quality to maximise our chances of success? I seem to get pregnant reasonably quickly but my body doesn't recognise the healthy ones from the duff ones.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 08/01/2012 10:10

Oh Generic you really are going through it aren't you? I hope you are resting lots, eating lots of nice things and getting lots of TLC. Glad the antibiotics are starting to kick in. You will get a sticky one, I just know it. Have the hospital given you an idea of what might be going on?

Smegs you are here!! I love my e reader, it's addictive! Sorry AF got you on new years, of all days.

I do have bad wind, only in the evening and at night though, and very sore boobs. I was wondering though (as it would be too good to be true to be updiffed this cycle) how long the old vit B complex takes to kick in? I was wondering if the sore boobs were related to this? Though I have only been taking them since Tuesay! Hmm

Munx · 08/01/2012 10:38

maybe That is so exciting!!!!

When are you and imps confirming? bad influence Wink

generic poor you, take lots of care of yourself lovely. You'll be pg again soon, and it will stick. As to egg quality, I think there is very little you can realistically do tbh but stay positive........ Your eggs are top notch you are a brooker remember!!

Munx · 08/01/2012 10:45

Sorry had to go and sort out DD, nap time!

Poor love was in with me again last night, had a nose bleed and then couldn't sleep. I am so tired as a result.

She has her first day at nursery tomorrow.....need brooking for that too please!

SMEGS so so good to see you buddy! Sorry aout AF though.

As for me.....cd24 not a clue what is going on. Definitely NOT pg (did actually stupidly do a test after the seventh positive OPK). Anyway perhaps it is just a weird cycle so am going on the principle of SWI until AF arrives this month. We will see.

A bit fuzzy and tired this morning so sorry if anything missed out.

Breakfast anyone?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 08/01/2012 11:26

Oh Munx you are really going through it too at the moment. Poor DD. I am brooking very hard for a smooth night and a good first day for you both tomorrow. Have you planned what your are doing with your first few hours alone?

I'm on CD28, and normally have 35 day-ish cycles, which is why I am thinking it is far to early for symptoms, unless I popped an egg out early Hmm

DH made me breakfast. I had fruit and yoghurt, bacon and an egg. yet I am still ravenous. I normally lose my appetite when I am ill, but I have been eating everything in sight. Can't wait to be better to get back to exercise Grin

Munx · 08/01/2012 11:29

Unfortunately I shall be working Grin she had her settling in mornings before the holidays so this will now be our new normal until I'm on maternity leave again yay

Yum to your breakfast! Our bodies really are eternal mysteries. Here, have a side order or extra brooking.

Fingers crossed for us all!

GenericDietCola · 08/01/2012 13:55

Maybe thanks for your well wishes and yes, I am being looked after, resting and eating far too much! Any excuse to delay the start of The Diet. No idea what is causing this, but if I have another mc we will be eligible for tests. But I won't be needing them because the next one will be the one!

Your wind and sore boobs are good symptoms in my book! Not too long to wait now.

Munx sorry to hear your DD is still suffering. Are you just about to go back to work then? Hope it goes really well and your DD settles into nursery well. Remember you could still be preggo but it's too soon for the rubbish pee sticks to know!

Let's all be on maternity leave by the end of 2012!

Imps7 · 08/01/2012 14:01

Oooooh delighted to hear about your parps Maybe!! That's a definite symptom! Perhaps you could grab yourself one of those there New Year ramekins and do the honours?

Beedle, has there been any development since your dubious pant snot?? When will you be PIANYR?

Munx, 7 OPKs is a row is bizarre. I wish I could give you some answers - which brand are they? Is there a customer service number/website you can call/look at for advice?? Best of luck with the nursery tomorrow - all my working parent friends said that they found the first day at nursery more difficult than their children! It will all go well, no doubts about that.

Smegs, great to see you! Feeling disheartened from time to time is the norm - keep on at it, it will happen. Glad you're loving your new toy - I feel quite out of the loop without a kindle, iPad, iPhone etc etc. Even my iPod is one of those tiny iPod Shuffles!

Generic, sorry to hear about the infection. Hurry up antibiotics and get our Generic better pronto!

Had a lovely evening with friends yesterday. Had a cuddle with their 10 week old and my stomach flipped in excitement that one day soon OH and I will have our own baby to cuddle. I can't wait!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 08/01/2012 14:49

Ah, Imps that sounds lovely. That's what I have to keep reminding myself, one day soon.... Smile

I have another bizarre symptom.I have actually lost weight, though I feel huge. my new PJs DH bought me for Christmas see here and here were a tad tight but are now a perfect fit Hmm Maybe I just have some high levels of the old progesterone this month Grin

Glad you are being well looked after Generic. It may well have nothing to do with your eggs at all. Plus, you are right. This next been is going to get stuck right in there and stay put for 40 weeks

It's not going to be long at all till you are back on maternity leave Munx Smile

whimsicalname · 08/01/2012 19:07

Good luck for tomorrow munx. A good nursery is a wondrous thing.

Exciting symptoms maybe and imps.

I feel so fat and boozy from the hols that I have completely lost track of my body. We were all ill for what felt like the whole of December, and then I've definitely been letting my hair down. I'm actually quite looking forward to going back to work on Tues and getting back to normal, eating properly, going on the wagon and getting some exercise. I usually cycle 8 miles (all of which seems to be up hill, whichever direction I'm going) on work days, and have really missed that.

Hope you're all having quiet Sunday evenings. I'm a bit kidded out, but the house is now calm, and I'm looking forward to cassoulet from a posh tin plus wine and Sherlock in a bit.

SweetieDoesIt · 08/01/2012 19:12

just a quick post to say good luck tomorrow munx fx your DD will settle into nursery fine. Hope you are ok with it too xx

ScrambledSmegs · 08/01/2012 23:34

Aw Generic, hope the antibiotic get you better in double-quick time.

Munx 7 positive OPK's in a row? That is vair strange, I would be wondering if there was something a bit dodgy about the batch to be honest. I hope your DD's first day back at nursery goes well.

whimsical I'll join you on the losing weight/getting fit bandwagon. I used to cycle 12 miles a day, I'm going to have to start doing it again. I love cycling though, it's hardly a chore!

Maybe & Imps - when are you testing?!

at Sweetie. Sherlock was good, wasn't it? Loved the new take on the hound of the baskervilles. I was pretty scared!

Imps7 · 09/01/2012 07:08

Morning all! Hope all's well. Mondays come around way too frequently, don't they?

BFN from me this morning and am feeling proper AF-y. Had 2 more tiny specks of brown CM last night, feeling v crampy this morning and temps are slightly down this morning. Never mind, am on holiday with OH at the end of the month which I am sooooo looking forward to, and not being updiffed when accepting new job offer will make me feel less like I'm being an inconvenience/taking the piss out of the new firm.

Maybe, how are you getting along???? You must be testing soon, surely??

Oooh re: PJs - our La Senza is shutting down so I got a lovely pair of snuggly PJs for £9 down from £30! Being a bit dumb though, I only realised that they're Christmas ones once I'd got them home - they hardly scream "Christmas" though so I can get away with them for the whole of winter methinks.

Right, onwards and upwards - see you later!

Imps7 · 09/01/2012 07:12

Arg CD1 here for me - AF has put in a appearance (her last for a very long time) - only a 12-day luteal phase which is a bit disappointing esp as I've been so good booze-wise.

Never mind - this month is my month!

GenericDietCola · 09/01/2012 07:26

Imps sorry about AF, but good that you can be positive about it. I agree it's nice to be able to accept the job with a clear conscience (not that you would have been doing anything wrong if you had been preggo, but it just feels better to wait a bit - I speak from experience).

I've still got a fair bit of pain so have decided to stay off work (again) and visit the GP. Feel pretty bad for missing work again because I'm so important and have lots to do but I need to get properly better don't I.
