I'm a regular in conception - kind of hoping old friends will come and hair stroke me. DH and I have been ttc for 22 months. DH has high prolactin levels which makes his sperm count low. Until we see a specialist next month we've been not trying but not, not trying iykwim.
My cycle is variable but typically 25-27 days. Today is cd29. I haven't had a 28 day cycle for over a year. Internet cheapies say bfn. Must assume it's only a matter of time before the witch comes. But I feel like crap. Anyone willing to sit and wait with me?

No, I try not to do that any more these days. It got a bit expensive. If I get sore nipples again (the thing that made me test last time) then I will POAS. In the meantime I shall just prod my breasts and google!

How are you feeling symptom-wise?

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 30/10/2011 07:19

You know I've got really good at not testing early but since af has been awol I've done seven!
I'm a bit crampy with low back pain. No nausea but I'm really hungry -didn't eat much yesterday - so I'll get some breakfast in a bit. The cramps aren't typical 'When I do a knicker check I know I'll find af', more like someone put a book on my belly.

Northey · 30/10/2011 07:31

I had no nausea at all, so that needn't mean anything. I did have non typical af twinges though. THough you know perfectly well there's nothing to do but wait it out.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 30/10/2011 07:39

Well we have a House box set on.dvd to watch and church at 10.30 so I'll have some distractions!

OP posts:
Northey · 30/10/2011 07:47

Incidentally, the day before I got a bfp I had casually wandered off a London street into a church, just meaning to look at architecture etc and found myself praying the most massive pray of my adult life. I do connect the two.

Biscuitsandtea · 30/10/2011 07:47

Good luck to both of you xx

Northey · 30/10/2011 07:50

Thanks biscuits. I've been here for years under various names but don't think I've ever posted with you (unless you have confused me by being a sneaky namechanger too!). But hello anyway :)

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 30/10/2011 08:01

biscuits was on isn't it annoying!
weren't you?! but changed names while she was there...

OP posts:
Northey · 30/10/2011 08:04

Oh bollocks. Sorry biscuits.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 30/10/2011 08:05

LisaJayneS?

OP posts:
Northey · 30/10/2011 08:09

Oh, tht sounds familiar. I didn't remember the name change though. Oops.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 30/10/2011 08:12

I may be getting muddled but biscuits definitely came to the isn't it annoying party before it got hijacked!

OP posts:
Biscuitsandtea · 30/10/2011 08:13

I was indeed on the isn't it annoying thread, and yes, mainly as LisajayneS - but then I decided that this wasn't the most cunningly disguised name!

Biscuitsandtea · 30/10/2011 08:15

But I've seen you around Northey I think on some different things. I'm less on the conception boards now as I got a BFP after 19 mths of trying in July - am currently 18 weeks.

Northey · 30/10/2011 08:16

Ah well. I was patientgriselda on there, but then took a break before posting as Northey in the pregnancy area. Though it all went tits up and now I am back in conception! Have you had any success, biscuits?

Northey · 30/10/2011 08:17

Cross post. Congratulations!

Biscuitsandtea · 30/10/2011 08:18

Thanks Northey - hoping you and Have will be joining us over in pregnancy soon Smile

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 30/10/2011 08:25

Ah see I'm not too insane then :)

OP posts:
Biscuitsandtea · 30/10/2011 08:31

Not too insane Have Wink

Mind you I'm surprised the past few days haven't made you completely loopy!

Northey · 30/10/2011 08:35

By the way, while I have you both here, can I hijack a minute and ask about your HSGs? I seem to be down for one next cycle, which seems a bit random to me, considering I've already had a lap and dye, which I thought provided pretty much the same information! But I really wanted to know how you both found it?

Munkiii · 30/10/2011 08:49

Sorry to hear Have but as the others say, it ain't over yet.

Hope you have a nice day today x

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 30/10/2011 08:56

Really? A Hsg now? How will.that help? Except for maybe an update about everything? Confused
Um yeah, Hsg, it was great! Honestly, it smarted/stung like mad. Radiologist had to shove it in. Apparently if you've had a baybee it's bigger. I think I went into spasm afterwards which was agony not pleasant. But that's not common.
You must make sure you're not up the duff when you have it. It will disrupt any bean :(
But you'll be fine I'm sure. Just take some pain killers before you go and take a pad for after - the ones they give you are hideous.
Course you won't need it because we're probably upduffed already! Grin

OP posts:
Biscuitsandtea · 30/10/2011 09:08

Yes I'd agree with that about the hsg. Mine didn't hurt, but I have had ds and I've noticed smear tests etc aren't as uncomfortable anymore Blush. So the test itself wasn't that uncomfortable. The leaflet said you might get period ish pains when the dye goes in, and I did get that. A crampy pain, but further down than I would have normally got them. But it was only for the duration of the test. I never needed pain killers, but did take my own sanitary towel (as Have says, the hospital ones are awful!). I think I was at the best end of the scale for people that have them as it really wasn't that bad. Poor old Have had a much worse time Sad

I too though am surprised that they'd do one after a lap and dye - I thought they were a similar sort of thing Confused. I'm not 100% sure though exactly about what the lap and dye does. They only offered me a HSG.

Oh, and we got pg the cycle after the one that I had the HSG in Smile

Northey · 30/10/2011 09:16

I think they want to check my left tube hasn't somehow whipped round and got stuck to the wound site from where they removed my right tube. But it all sounds a bit tenuous to me and I am suspicious that they are humouring me by giving me random tests to fill in time while they delay anything more effective. They did say they dont want to do anythjng major till 3 months after the ectopic (though i am allowed to ttc in the meantime). But it seems a bit silly to tell them that I think it's pointless and I'd rather not bother, when you never know what it might randomly reveal.

Northey · 30/10/2011 09:20

Biscuits, I think they are basically the same, but with a lap and dye they are actually looking inside you and watching the dye spill out, whereas with an HSG they are watching it move through you via x ray. I guess it means they get a better picture of the inside o your tubes, including lumps and bumps that an embryo might get stuck on but which dye could move round and spill out anyway. Perhaps.
