Hello Sweetie! Welcome to the thread, and to the first day of your pregnancy, now you've joined us :) Support, baked goods and brooking no argument are our speciality! Oh, and the occasional random chat about celebs wot we fancy and fanjometers. How long have you and your DP been 'officially' trying? For DH and I it's been 4 months, but unofficially it's been a bit longer than that.

Sorry for not responding sooner, but it was Downton Abbey time. Gawd, I didn't see tonight's twist coming, did anyone else won't be saying what it was just in case? Was a bit trite and cliched, but hey, it's a soap opera in period dress with Maggie Smith, so I forgive Julian Fellows. I'm sure he'll be relieved to hear that Grin.

Hi Scrambled Just a quick post before work. I am CD10 of official cycle 3 of TTC our first DC. We have already had some tests done because AF never arrived when i stopped taking pill so Dr wanted look into it.

So I have had day 3 & day 21 when AF eventually arrived and DH had his SA done on Friday (collects his results this week). My results were a bit funny, my FSH was 12 and LH 8 (I am 38 so Dr said this is considered ok for my age, although I am not so sure) but then my day 21 progesterone was 126!!! Dr said he thought I might be updiffed with such a high result but then AF arrived so obviously not!! Sad
So that is me and my story so far.

Imps7 · 07/11/2011 08:09

Morning Sweetie and welcome! Let me be the second to congratulate you on being on day 10 of your pregnancy. On this thread, one is always pregnant.

Does anyone want to come and kick AF in the face for me? I have been in pain all night and hardly slept a wink. Now I have to go to work and face three sulking partners - my partner in crime colleague who is also at risk is on holiday this week. Deserter.

I think I am going to put today down as being Day 1 of my pregnancy - there was nothing more that some brown spotting yesterday - AF properly arrived in the night.

I'm not a Downton Abbey watcher Scrambled - although I think I'm the only person who isn't :)

PopcornMouse · 07/11/2011 09:24

Beedle I only get 2 days of proper flow, too, with a day of spotting afterwards? Confused it had never occurred to me that might not be normal?

Hi Sweetie!

Smegs I've taped Downton! I will have to wait till Thursday to watch it, sob, as Mr Popcorn is home for the next few evenings. I'm planning on not reading any newspapers before then, and actively avoiding friends and family :o

Nothing much to report here. Painful boobs so I hazard a guess I'm gearing up for ovulation....

BeedleTheBard · 07/11/2011 09:49

Welcome sweetie

imps I've had a word with AF for you, she just didn't want you to forget about her as she's going to be leaving you for 9 months Grin

popcorn I wasn't worried about the 2 days of "proper flow" , it was just this months which was only about 15 hours of proper flow, fllowed by a bit of spotting which stopped and has now restarted Hmm.

I'll go along to see the doctor after work and see what they say - I'm just starting to think that there is something wrong that is preventing me getting pregnant. And whilst they won't start any investigations until we've been trying for 12 months, I think my 1 day period is a cause for concern

ScrambledSmegs · 07/11/2011 09:52

Morning rat-smackers! . Hope you feel a bit better today, and carry off your solo day with aplomb. I'm available for more playground assaults on AF when required Grin.

I'm on CD10 too, Sweetie! We're cycle buddies! Gosh, I'm inordinately excited about that Hmm.

So. CD10. EWCM Shock. Positive OPK Shock. It's never been this early before, maybe the B6 is 'normalising' my cycle? Combined with a longer LP this could be very good news. Very pleased!

ScrambledSmegs · 07/11/2011 09:54

. Sorry!

Imps7 · 07/11/2011 10:07
ScrambledSmegs · 07/11/2011 10:09

Mmm! Lovely thanks! Wink

PopcornMouse · 07/11/2011 10:27

I'm on CD16 and still waiting!

I got sent a box of FR OPKs by a mumsnetter, which is lovely :)
I was disturbed to see the box said to start testing from CD1 though (CD1 if usually under 31days, CD3 if over). Wtf? Does anyone OV at CD1?? Struck my as a bit moneygrabbing...

PopcornMouse · 07/11/2011 10:29

PS, beedle, let us know what the GP says? I'd be interested on her verdict tbh! Hmm :)

ScrambledSmegs · 07/11/2011 10:35

Ahem! Think you'll find tis my egg that's popping soon [proud]. Grin

I just started using the OPK's yesterday, Popcorn. Cheap month! I think if you have a good idea of what happens when in your cycle, you don't need to use the OPK's from CD1. Maybe wait till about CD8-10 if you have long cycles, sooner if you have shorter ones? Good luck!

Solars · 07/11/2011 10:48

Morning,

Welcome Sweetie

Imps I thought I was the only one not watching Downton Abbey!

Munkii are you testing soon?

Popcorn that does sound a bit of a waste of opks starting from CD1! About CD8 ish may be better.

A big thank you to all who were brooking for me, have given myself a good talking to and feel a lot better now. This is month 19 now for us so really don't want to be continuing onto month 20 hence I think why it was getting me down. Am on constant knicker watch today as I think I am 15DPO. Does anyone know exactly when you ovulate after they get ovulation pains? Is it on the same day or the day after?

Hope everyone else is doing well x

Imps7 · 07/11/2011 10:49

Ohhhh how I would love to be an early - even normal - egg popper. It was CD 20 for me last cycle! 33 day cycles means that I only have 11 chances a year of winning a baby. Urgh, it's SO not fair

Not that I am looking to worry myself, but is there any reason to be concerned about being a late egg popper does anyone know?

Solars · 07/11/2011 10:53

Imps I don't think there is anything to be concerned about being a late popper as long you have a reasonable luteul period after.

PopcornMouse · 07/11/2011 10:55

Gosh Solars, 19 months? I didn't realise. Have you had any sort of investigations done? Sorry that I don't know Confused

ScrambledSmegs · 07/11/2011 11:05

I didn't realise either Solars. Have you had tests yet? Glad you're feeling ok, will commence no-brooking for this month for you.

Solars · 07/11/2011 11:05

Yes Popcorn had the usual bloods, HSG & DH had the SA, everything so for has been coming back as normal. We've now been prescribed clomid and this was our first month. I hope it helps us but who knows Hmm

ScrambledSmegs · 07/11/2011 11:07

X-post. Good luck for this month, Solars. Will be brooking no argument that this is your month Smile.

Biscuitsandtea · 07/11/2011 11:10

Oh my goodness - I had forgotten the clomid Solars !!!!

I am brooking extra extra hard for you!!!

So, 15 dpo you say. When would AF normally be due. Obviously she's not coming this month as the Clomid Will. Have. Worked!!!!

Hello everyone else and a lovely big squishy welcome to Sweetie.

BeedleTheBard · 07/11/2011 11:14

biscuits Happy Birthday, have some (alcohol-free)Wine and some Thanks. I'm sure one of those clever-at-baking type people will be here soon with a lovely cake for you.

Solars · 07/11/2011 11:15

Thanks Scrambled Brooking.No.Argument for you all too x

Biscuits Happy Birthday!!! Are you doing anything nice today?

Biscuitsandtea · 07/11/2011 11:18

Thank you ladies :)

Just having a bit of a day to myself as DH at work and DS at nursery so that's quite nice in its own way! Just getting the minimum amount of jobs that I can get away with doing out of the way first then off out to do a bit of pottering shopping I think.

Oh, and then coming home to wait for the plumber as our boiler is on strike so we have had no heating or hot water all weekend :(

Solars · 07/11/2011 11:23

Hope you treat yourself to something nice out shopping Biscuits. Shock at no heating or hot water all weekend, the boiler part doesn't sound like much fun

PopcornMouse · 07/11/2011 11:23

Oh Solars yes, the clomid! Doh!

I have read on a few of the clomid threads that it can make ovulation pain more pronounced, so if you had cramps I'd think it was that?

I get it every now and again, but sometimes I think I just imagine it and sometimes I think I just mistake wind for it Blush
