NinjaChipmunk · 29/10/2011 22:00

scrambled my thoughts are with you, hope you are ok.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 29/10/2011 22:18

Just popping by to give my best wishes to Cake. Sorry it didn't work out for you this month, and that you're having to put ttc on hold for so long. Sounds like you've really thought this through tho, and I'm sure you've made the best decision for your family. Good luck with your career plans and I hope the time flies by until you can ttc again!

Also sorry to hear Scrambled has been messed around by AF! Evil stupid witch! She better stay away for at least 9 months after this, if she knows what's good for her!

GenericDietCola · 29/10/2011 22:46

Oh Cake I'm sorry to hear things haven't worked out this time. I'm sure you have good reasons for waiting and I admire you for being sensible. You will make a great mother in 2013, I'm sure.

Scrambled I'm so sorry to hear about AF. I hope it wasn't an emc and I hope you're feeling OK. Many of us have been there with mcs (including me) and it's not nice, so I hope you're being looked after.

Hope everyone's having a nice weekend!

ScrambledSmegs · 29/10/2011 23:19

Thanks everyone. I'm ok - we met up with a friend today, then I made fajitas for supper (pronounced fa-jee-a's in proper classy norf lahndan styleeeeee) and have had a few yummy G&T's. Slightly tipsy too, thanks Imps! I'm good.

Watched a few episodes of Modern Family. That show is funny. Anyone else watch it?

BeedleTheBard · 30/10/2011 09:02

Cake sorry you're leaving us, but I'm sure you've made the best decision for you. Hope you might pop in here and say hi sometimes, but I understand if you don't.

Scrambled sorry about AF turning up uninvited, but sounds like you had a good evening celebrating her last visit for at least 9 months :)

As for me I think I've caught the bug you all had a few days ago, so I'm going back to bed. I resisted doing a test this morning because I'm only 10 dpo and its too early - I shall sit on my hands until tomorrow Tuesday at the earliest.

Hope everyone got to enjoy an extra hour in bed.

possiblemaybebaby · 30/10/2011 10:07

Morning everyone Smile

How are you feeling this morning Scrambled? Glad to hear you had a good night.

Are you feeling better now Imps?

Sorry you have caught the bug too Beedle not nice at all Sad

I didn't get t enjoy that extra hour - we picked our puppy up last night, and he had us up at the crack of dawn. But oh my, he is so cute, so I don't even care Grin We are taking him to the pub later to 'socialise him' on advice of the breeders of course, not cos we fancy a drink Grin

Does anyone else have any plans for today?

Ooh, and no, I have never seen that Scrambled, but I love Outnumbered. That will be how my children turn out, I just know it Grin

Munkiii · 30/10/2011 11:01

Morning ladies.

Am back to my normal name now, sorry I have been so quiet but there's not much to report from the Munkiii House.

I am so sorry that some of the Brookers have had difficult times of late, Cake I wish you lots of luck for the future.

Scrambled I hope that you enjoyed the gin and that you had a good weekend.

How exciting about the puppy Maybe!

It's a waiting game for me too now, I think I am 10 days post Ov as well Beedle. My cycles have been around 33-35 days ish the past few months and I am on cd 30 today.

ScrambledSmegs · 30/10/2011 13:33

Thanks Munkiiii, gin was gorgeous! Bought a really nice one, made with Icelandic water or some such nonsense. I don't think I'll deny myself the occasional drink from now on as I really enjoyed it Smile.

Thanks to all who've asked after me. I'm fine, really. It's basically a late period, and I know that this month DH and I will put the effort in and smack that rat. Lots of BFP's coming, I can see it in my crystal ball [gone a bit woo emoticon].

Stasi · 30/10/2011 17:23

Hi everyone, well I've had a long and busy weekend of wedding planning and shopping. Very tired now after only 5 hours on the high street. Bought some make up, jewellery, gifts and underwear. I think that's all the shopping I need to do now, apart from buying chocolate to make favours. I tried melting down chocolate last night and seeing it into new shapes with moulds. Didn't really work though. Chocolate is actually quite complicated stuff, and if you don't do it right items soft and crumbly, and melts to easily. I'll have to just keep trying till I get the hang of it.

Scrambled, glad you are feeling a bit better. I don't like alcohol at all, and even I don't stay t total. Items nice to just relax sometimes and have fun, or just a glass of wine with dinner. There's only a few days each month where you could argue you shouldn't drink... Of course you knew that, but what i'm trying to say is don't stay of the gin if it makes you miserable. Its not worth it.

Munkii and Beedle, fingers crossed for BFPs for you both. Waiting with baited breath till POAS day.

ScrambledSmegs · 30/10/2011 18:02

Do you have a thermometer for it, Stasi? That might help. Oh, and are you using couverture? I think that's the stuff for using in moulds. Very impressive that you're making your own chocolates!

Glad you've got most of the wedding stuff done. I have a bit of an odd wedding tip, btw. Buy some sleeping pills - Nytol one a night work quite well. I barely slept the night before my wedding. It was weird, I felt absolutely fine and really happy to be getting married, but then when it came to it I just couldn't sleep. So many people I know had exactly the same experience, so it's not just me!

BartletForAmerica · 30/10/2011 19:40

I didn't expect to have sleeping problems the night before our wedding either, I thought I was fairly chilled about everything, but I spent the night tossing and turning and then got up to arrange for flowers and hampers to be delivered to our parents and everyone who helped a few days later.

Scrambled, enjoy your gin this weekend. You won't be having much of that for the next nine months once you get your BFP next month.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 30/10/2011 20:32

I was exactly the same Scrambled and Bartlet! I wasn't worried, but I couldn't sleep at all. I knew I'd be like that though (always am before any big day) which was part of the reason we scheduled our wedding ceremony for 8.45 in the morning! It meant I had an excuse to be up at 5am when I had been awake all night anyway!

Best of luck with your chocolate Stasi!

Solars · 30/10/2011 22:30

Evening ladies,

I hope you've all had lovely weekends, I've been having lots of fun with my gorgeous nieces & nephews, tiring but lots of laughs!

Beadle hope you feel better soon & looking forward to yours & Munkii's imminent BFPs!! Is there anyone else testing soon??

Scrambled glad to hear you are feeling better & I love Modern Family too, very funny, however DH doesn't get it and how spooky as I was just watching an episode of it last night too [hgrin] Oh and I wish someone had given me that advice of sleeping pills, took me forever to fall asleep the night before my wedding and then I think is was up at 4.30am with the excitement of it all!

Ooooo Stasi not long to go now! How exciting!

Maybe how exciting having the puppy, what have you named your puppy if you don't mind me asking?

possiblemaybebaby · 31/10/2011 06:54

Morning all. Stasi when is your big day (sorry if you have already mentioned it). It is so exciting. I was so excited I couldn't sleep either, but my lovely bridal shop gave me a bottle of the Bach's rescue remedy, it worked wonders Smile And tastes a lot like alcohol Grin

Glad you enjoyed your gin Scrambled. Make the most of it, this is the last month you'll be having it for a while Grin

Sounds like a knackering weekend Solars how are you?

Puppy is called Otis and is literally the cutest thing I have ever seen, naughty but in a good way. Flaked out next to me right now, as has been up since 5 [sleepy] Think I am going to need a week off after this week off to recover Grin

possiblemaybebaby · 31/10/2011 07:04

PS. Anyone who would like to marvel at his cuteness, I have put a pic on my profile

BeedleTheBard · 31/10/2011 07:21

Morning all

Well I gave into temptation this morning and POAS but it was no surprise that it was a BFN. I'm only 11dpo, and AF isn't due on Thursday so I'll wait and try again then. I only have internet cheapies and a couple of clearblue digitals, next time I'm in England I think I ought to buy some better early tests. (of course by then I'll already be pregnant and have no need Grin)

maybe Otis the puppy sounds really cute, can he be our brooking mascot?

Munkii as you're my cycle partner, when were you planning to test?

possiblemaybebaby · 31/10/2011 07:23

Sorry about the BFN Beedle Tis only a matter of days before the pesky pee sticks agree with you.

That is a brilliant idea for Otis. I reckon he would scare the living daylights out of AF, she would never dare show her face around here again. Just got to get him to work on his bark....

PopcornMouse · 31/10/2011 09:24

maybe how do I view your profile? (I am not technogogically gifted)

scrambled really sorry to hear about your late-AF, it sounds like you had a bit of a pants day [massive understatement emoticon] but I'm glad fajitas and gin helped :)

I am still ill. Still! Hmm

possiblemaybebaby · 31/10/2011 09:38

Oh Popcorn it's not good is it? I am still ill too. Well, very sick feeling anyway. Hope you feel better soon.

I am not gifted in the technology department either, and have just realised that I had ti make it public in order for you to see it Grin So now you should just be able to click on my name Smile

PopcornMouse · 31/10/2011 10:14

Awww he is so fluffy!!! And the wedding photo's gorgeous too :o

Solars · 31/10/2011 11:06

Maybe Otis is adorable, lovely wedding pic too!! I'm good thanks, how are you doing? I'm liking the idea of Otis being our mascot and keeping AF at bay! Hope you and Popcorn feel better soon Brew

Sorry to hear of BFN Beedle but does seem like you tested too early, give it some time and you'll find an agreeable pee stick soon enough!

Still no symptoms for me in my 2ww unless you count strange dreams over the past week Hmm

BeedleTheBard · 31/10/2011 11:31

It was definately too early, but now I can try to not think about it for a few days, if that makes any sense Grin

maybe Otis is very cute

possiblemaybebaby · 31/10/2011 12:02

Thanks fellow rat smackers. He is indeed very cute and fluffy. I will train him up to be a ferocious anti-AF dog. They are in high demand I hear.

Everyone has gone very quiet of late.

Strange dreams are deffo a symptom Solars I too have been having them, though probably just cos I am a bit feverish Grin When is AF not due?

Solars · 31/10/2011 12:24

Maybe 'tis very quiet indeed! AF is not welcome next Monday I believe, what about you? Are you not testing soon?

possiblemaybebaby · 31/10/2011 12:28

I have no idea when she isn't coming Solars I had a positive OPK 14 days ago, and my LP is normally 15, so who knows?
