Here we go yet again...

OP posts:
musicalmrs · 31/10/2011 12:36

Quiet indeed...

maybe Otis looks adorable. What a wonderful mascot. Does this mean you'll be testing soon? :)

Beedle, how rude of the pee sticks not to agree with your updiffedness!

Haven't been around much for a few days - so just wanted to say a quick goodbye to Cake - please pop back and tell us how you're doing! We'll miss you..!

Sorry to hear so many of you are ill!

Can't believe it's the last day of October already. My schedule for November looks hellish. Think I'll start counting down the days til December..!

Solars · 31/10/2011 12:37

Oh, so will you be testing soon? Fingers crossed for you x

by the way were you not tempted to name puppy Brook or Ramekin? [hsmile]

NinjaChipmunk · 31/10/2011 12:41

afternoon. maybe what agorgeous fluffy bundle Otis is. And as an anti-af mascot he will be perfect.
Sorry to hear so many of you are still feeling ill. Thats rather pants. I had my first moment of nausea this morning on the bus, no breakfast and trying to read not a good combination. Had to remind myself I had a banana and muffin in my bag ready to have with tea when I got to work. I never had ms with ds, I'm not equipped for this type of thing!

TheLittleFriend · 31/10/2011 12:51

Hi all
Just thought I'd check in instead of lurking. Hope everyone is ok. CD19 here which is pretty miraculous.

Lovely pic of Otis Maybe. What breed is he? (sorry if it's obvious, I have no clue about dogs!)

My order of flowers and wine to celebrate Stasi's wedding is here. Tuck in.

[bad parent]

How are you Little? Otis is a Eurasier, not obvious at all, they aren't a common breed Smile

Musical how are you now? How long till your next scan?

Ninja boo to morning sickness. Where is that emergency satsuma..... Grin

Solars i did indeed toy with those name choices, but DH wasn't having any of it Grin

I don't know if/when to test. All I know is I feel really sick if I don't eat Hmm which obviously points to the fact that I am indeed up the duff Wink

musicalmrs · 31/10/2011 13:26

It clearly means you are maybe! I feel really sick if I don't eat. I also feel really sick if I do eat, though - can't win! Sureelly you must be testing soon? :)

Next scan is a week today!

Ninja, rubbish to hear about the morning sickness :( I'm frequently feeling ill in the mornings, but have only actually been sick once - so I'm quite pleased about that. It seems to be getting worse rather than better though, which I'm not impressed with.

PopcornMouse · 31/10/2011 13:34

Wow, that's come round quickly musical! Exciting stuff :)

Loooopy · 31/10/2011 13:43

oooh maybe from very very early on when i was preggo with DS, i felt sick if i didn't eat something!! i never used to eat breakfast pre-preggo, but every morning when i woke up, i felt completely and utterly empty, couldn't get out of bed until i'd eaten something, but as long as i did, i was fine. Only had MS twice, both triggered by brushing my teeth!

So when are you going to announce your BFP??!!

(which i might add must count as an ironic one as it's not long since you decided you were rat smacking again after deciding you weren't cos of your nasty boss!)

possiblemaybebaby · 31/10/2011 13:43

That really has come round quick Musical, you must be so excited Smile Sorry to hear about the sickness. I hope it passes soon and you can get back to enjoying food again!

possiblemaybebaby · 31/10/2011 13:44

Haha Loooopy You are right, it would most definitely be ironic Grin Unfortunately, the sickness is probably just one of those things Hmm

How are you Loooopy?

shinyblackgrape · 31/10/2011 13:50

Well, AF turned up one day early (by my calculations) on Friday night. Just as we were off to the PILS for 2 nights . So spent a lovely night in a lumpy single bed in nylon sheets dosed up on ibuprofen.

Back now and ready for round two.

Can any nice person help me though?

I had a positive OPK on Friday night (two weeks ago) and the Saturday morning. Not sure about the Sat night. I had a sore side on Sat night so pretty sure I ov-ed then.

If AF turned up 13 days later - i.e. on the Friday night - does that mean that I have an issue with luteal phase? Should it be 14 days absolutely? Consulted Dr Google and it seems to say that luteal phases can be between 12 and 16 days. However, when you count the luteal phase, it is from the day after OV and it finishes on the day before your period. So my luteal phase would be 11 days?

I am going to try really hard this month not to test until AF is late and also not to be doing mad symptom checking. I think I did myself no favours last month and completely wound myself up! I also think I'm hyper-suggestible too.....Have had to re-assess my whole personality as used to think I was quite laid back and sensible!

Off to catch up with the rest of the news. Hope everyone else is well.

TheLittleFriend · 31/10/2011 13:55

Shiny, don't worry one jot about your lp. Even if you ov'd on the Sunday then you are absolutely fine. Below 10 days is meant to be an issue, your's sounds like 13 which is great.

Biscuitsandtea · 31/10/2011 14:02

Agreed Shiny - it doesn't have to be 14 days. I often read things that say 'you'll ovulate 14 says before your next period' but that's just text book speak. most people have an LP of 13-15 days I would guess. I've also read things that suggest that your LP will be the same every month and that isn't necessarily true either. I think it will be round about the same each month but not necessarily exactly the same.

I really wouldn't over analyse it if I were you - only something 20% or something of people get pg the first month. And you're brooking too so this month will be yours Smile

PopcornMouse · 31/10/2011 14:30

Agree with biscuits and little! And mine is 13 days too :)

PopcornMouse · 31/10/2011 14:55

Feeling a bit bummed out this afternoon, ladies. Reading a few threads in the pg forum somewhat wistfully, wondering if I'll ever get to post about MILs insensitive pg comments or MW's stupid advice... [hsad]

possiblemaybebaby · 31/10/2011 15:20

Popcorn my love, of course you are going to be posting there, we all are. That's the deal with this thread you see. And I am taking no prisoners

Shiny sorry she got you, but I'm with everyone else, your LP sounds just fine. And remember 1st day of AF=1st day of your pregnancy Smile

< waves at salutes Biscuits and Little >

farfallarocks · 31/10/2011 15:33

Walks in very briefly, gives popcorn a big hug and says 'Yes of course darling we are all getting there'

shiny sorry about AF but don't worry we are in the right thread, ok??

Another preggo announcement this weekend, I had to nip the loo and have a little quiet cry, Some get me more than others!

I also know that the girl I work with is preggers again with number 2, I just KNOW. No coffee, and did not drink on our night out. She has just come back from maternity leave and we always joked about doing a tag team. Agrh!!!

Anyway, off to acupuncture tonight and then DH is getting sexed in a major way. We have bonked for Britain this weekend but am on day 15 and have still not ovulated, still getting lows on the monitor and day 15 ist he latest I ever ovulate, most odd. Don't my ovaries know that getting sexed at teh weekend is way more convenient!??

possible get thee a pee stick asap please!!!!

farfallarocks · 31/10/2011 15:34

beedle sorry to read that as well, try again soon though, blardy pee sticks!

PopcornMouse · 31/10/2011 16:29

Oh far that's pants (for you, not her [stating the obvious emoticon]), I'm really sorry :(

I'm on CD9 and we haven't swi yet [hblush] mostly because I've been ill and hideously unsexy. I don't usually OV til CD18 but I'm starting to get on edge about it lol, so I think some pouncing will be done tonight....

farfallarocks · 31/10/2011 16:41

Don;t worry you have agggeeeessm no chance the swimmers can live for that long! I think you are off the hook until CD 15 at least :)

The awful thing is I literally cannot look at this girl, she is actually a pretty good friend and I just resent her so much. I am worried this TTC thing is turning me into a horrible person.

Anyway, nuff of the me me me.
Where is imps and the rest of you chatty lot

shiny don;t worry, I used to be pretty laid back before TTC and am going slowly nuts

possiblemaybebaby · 31/10/2011 16:43

Oh Far it's so tough isn't it. It's like the minute you start TTC, the whole bloody world and his dog are up the duff. Hurrah for post-needling sexing though Grin

You have plenty of time to pounce Popcorn I wouldn't worry Grin

farfallarocks · 31/10/2011 16:49

you won't actually need to pounce on him ever again cos you are sooooo updiffed already innit?

PopcornMouse · 31/10/2011 16:50

Have you had all your tests and results now, far? I'm sorry if you've said, I know you've been updating us as you've gone, I'm just not sure if it's all done and dusted yet? :)

You're definitely not turning into a horrible monster, you are wuvly :o

possiblemaybebaby · 31/10/2011 16:52

Of course, you are so right Far thank god you're here to point these things out Grin Plus it couldn't be worse timing really, MS whilst puppy training...

farfallarocks · 31/10/2011 17:00

Thanks gals :)

Big test result day and plan of action is Thurs. But the results have been trickling in and there is nothing really obvious to report. I am not jumping to conclusions though and will see what the consultant says and have not been obsessively googling test results or anything

possible when are you testing???
