Starting up part 2 of this thread since the old one closed at 1000 posts!

iggi lots of luck for today, hope it's nothing - I know it doesn't help but I know lots of women have spotting and/or bleeding in pregnancy and it still goes ok. Definitely call the EPU, get scanned - it's worth it, honestly, at least you will know one way or another. Virtual hugs coming your way.

free I also started AF properly this morning, so looks like we may be both importuning a friendly witch for a good fertility spell on Hallowe'en? I know exactly what you mean about the scary stuff ... a small part of me was actually sort of relieved when I didn't get a BFP purely because it means I don't have to go through the whole worrying about miscarrying all over again. Bizarre, but there it is.

Duggs I'd said yes to RL meet up too! A Sat lunch would be best for me though could do a weekday evening if that's the best time for the majority.

Morning all :) Sorry I haven't posted much recently - I am reading though and loving all the good scan news - it's really lovely to hear such positive stories :)

coley I was wondering if the pred supresses the symptoms too - although I am only 6 DPO so wouldn't expect any yet (although I have been prodding boobs like a mad woman )

Today I am very very excited. I am off to the fertility show in Olympia. Its on today and tomorrow. There are lots of seminars (only a pound to attend them) and there are ones on recurrent MC, and Immunoligical testing, lots on IVF, etc etc so I am off to the big smoke. I am hoping to come back with lots of goodies too.

Thanks Snoopygirl - I'll deal with that problem if and when I need to. I agree that exact timing might not be entirely necessary.

Saturdays are good for me as my OH is on a course this month which is every Saturday so I'm all about making plans for my Saturdays. Might also work better for any of us who are a little further out of town. Although, now that AF is making signs of arrival (after my impatient moaning last night!) I can work out that I will be probably be away for a week some time after the 20th.

Cherry I think escalator action has to be good for implantation :) although dont actually fall. Glad you were up too, but up and out? Wow. Are you a) a road sweeper b) a high flying exec working with international markets or c) just very keen. I reckon Duggs, with her highly tuned organisational skills is an accountant, lawyer, top PA, high level drug dealer with extensive lie chart action detailing the activities of worldwide cartels.

Who asked about timing of intralipids? I am wondering the same myself. I don't think a few days will make a huge amount of difference but maybe a week would. I am having the same issue myself. If I got pregnant this month I would have to have them in LA I think! My brother is looking into it for me. Am leaving it until after LA to book
somewhere for new year with dh as mr s said if I was pregnant he wouldnt want me going too far from him! I guess so I wouldn't miss appointments, scans or intralipids so could presumably book holiday around those dates. Trouble is dh has to take hols at the same time as universities. I realise thus is not the hugest deal but dh really wants to get some sun as we normally go away in winter not summer.

As for meet up a weekday evening works best for me but am here next week and then in LA from 12th-22nd nov! Duggs can you be chief organiser?

duggs a midweek evening would normally be good for me, but I have a work dinner on the 15th (it's all terribly mysterious actually - bigwigs flying over from the US and only inviting the senior people from the office - I suspect some sort of big announcement is coming, maybe a merger).

Also up for a RL meet up, I'm about an hour out of town by train and could do a saturday or weekday eve as long as DH is home.

Re the intralipids, I had a nurse come to my house and although I am an NHS patient I am paying for this part so assume that if NLC is closed, the intralipids should still be available to anyone this way. it was a service called Healthcare at Home. You do have to order the stuff a few days in advance and wait in for the delivery the day before but other than that quite easy to arrange. Nurse did stay 4hours though (has to observe you for the last hour) so make sure you've got tea and biscuits in :)

Free I was me who was asking the question about intralipids. I have just left a message for Louise to get some advice but I think she is off today and back on Monday. I'll let you know what she says. BTW will you take drugs in your hand luggage? Bit worried they'll take them off me. Maybe taking prescription with me would help?

Coley & Battery As I get severe morning sickness from about 4.5 weeks for whole of pregnancy I queried this with Dr S as was concerned about chucking up the drugs in morning (couldn't even take DS to school back in Feb when last pregnant at 5 weeks). He said Pred would take all symptoms away, which I thought was great but someone on BC board told me not to believe this as she did have symtoms. I think it's obviously different for everyone. So don't panic if you don't have any. For me even if it means it suppresses it somewhat I'll be over the moon.

Please could someone update my stats to say ov on 1st Nov. Ari ov'd yesterday I think so effectively we've swapped!

Would be great to see all the info on immunology etc from the fertility show. Grab all you can battery!

On pg symptoms I was told the Pred may mean you feel nothing not even sore boobs. That should mean we approach testing time totally calmly waiting for a technical sign ie a bfp/af/bfn. Yeah right!!!

I too have heard the Pred masks symptoms and I didn't have any last time. Then it's difficult having not had a successful pregnancy to know what my symptoms might be.

Am wondering too about drugs and think I will take them hand luggage in their packaging so they are easily identifiable.

Snoopy I had paracetamol taken off me once at airport security... Take minimal amount in hand luggage along with letter from Mr S and rest in suitcase I would suggest. These are NOT drugs we want to handover! Maybe take prescription too in case suitcase goes missing. Belt and braces :)

RL meet-up ... I'm a bit limited as to when I can make it but I'm only 30 mins from the big smoke by train, so you guys make it when it suits you all and if I can come along I definitely will!

Wretched CBFM has confused me by still only showing a High this morning, with the oestrogen line still fairly strong (it should be faint at OV) and the FSH line definitely there but not anywhere near as strong as it showed on my CB digi OPK last night. I know most of you guys don't use the CBFM but I would expect to see a Peak the morning after I'd got a CB digi OPK smilie face, and now I'm completely confused. So more SWI for me tonight ... tomorrow ... Sunday ... when do I stop?! Poor DP was really tired last night from working a very long day and I don't think really wanted to BD, but I sort of coaxed him into it. Something up my sleeve for tonight, but goodness knows how I'll manage tomorrow! Oh the things we resort to, just to catch that laying egg .. !!

Belt and Braces exactly especially with US securtiy. That's good idea just to take exactly what I need instead of whole lot at least it would be only one tab taken away. Saying that might be able to time it right so whole lot can go in hold. Bloody hell would disaster if main case went missing. Also sons case gonna be loaded up with Christmas pressies too!

Battery I'd really like to hear about whatever you pick up from the fertility show. I saw the posters advertising it and considered going myself.

Re: travelling with drugs, definitely take your prescription. I'd be inclined to take them in hand luggage as there is then the opportunity to explain if anyone questions them whereas there is always the risk that if your case is checked they could just be hoiked out. But it is a judgment call. I've travelled with painkillers and supplements in both hand and hold luggage loads of times and never had any problems.
