Have Have Have! I was hoping you'd pop in! You should have come last night though - we had all the excitement here - have you seen who got a bfp?

How are you anyway my lovely? We do miss you still and hope you're back to brooking soon. That appt of yours must be coming round soon?

scarletfingernail · 19/10/2011 20:04

Welcome welcome have how lovely to see you.

I used some ramekins on Sunday when I hosted a big family Sunday lunch. I filled 2 of them with mint sauce and did have a little snigger to myself as I also now think of PIAR every time I see one. I must say the ones I used for the mint sauce were not the ones I used to pee in.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 19/10/2011 20:06

I just read the thread back Grin
Yup only a month til the appointment now....

possiblemaybebaby · 19/10/2011 20:07

Haha!! Thank goodness for that Scarlet Grin

Have!! Amazing to see you, how are you?

Biscuits I don't really know where in my cycle I am Grin

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 19/10/2011 20:13

Yeah I'm pretty good! Back on the diet big time so ensure I'm in tip top condition to brook when DH's hormones are sorted out!

TheLittleFriend · 19/10/2011 20:13

Hi Have, great to see you. Hope all is well with you.

maybe I've no idea about opk's being wrong but I'd definitely make sure you get some swi in over the next few days!

Hope you're feeling better now dizzy

CakePigeon · 19/10/2011 20:19

Hi have

maybe I didn't think you could get false positives? If you're sure it's a positive then I'd say you're either about to ov or you're preggers!

possiblemaybebaby · 19/10/2011 20:23

Good for you Have you are so getting your BFP once DH is sorted!

Thanks Little and Cake the line is more purple than the control line, so will definitely be pestering seducing DH Grin

NinjaChipmunk · 19/10/2011 20:32

hey have good to see you! That month will fly I bet you.

maybe go get 'em tiger! Shag as though your life depends on it! I am also very impressed with your musical abilities.

good to see you as well late glad to hear its going well. Hope you get your scan soon.

possiblemaybebaby · 19/10/2011 20:35

Thanks Ninja I used to love my music. Now I love my baking. (By the way, the marmalade cake is immense, and soooo easy. I heart Mary Berry)

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 19/10/2011 20:38

Aww I just looked back (mostly to read the dizzy bfp story!) and saw someone had asked after me! I feel luffed :)
biscuits is correct in her surmise they we are not not trying but not actively.trying iykwim.

possiblemaybebaby · 19/10/2011 20:55

Ikwym Have, DH and I are a little the same (but not tonight, nudge nudge, wink win Grin )

BartletForAmerica · 19/10/2011 21:10

Sorry for abandoning you, my lovelies! I have been feeling sick and exhausted today, so just up for some food and then going back to sleep.

I see there was a call from me from baby and dizzy. OPKs go positive when there is a surge of LH, which rises 12-48 hours before ovulation. When I tried, I declared that DH and I were going to DTD every day, so from that point to make sure that there was sperm waiting for a freshly laid egg and then for 5 days afterward ovulation because that is how long (theoretically) an egg might be hanging about waiting to be fertilised. Now I don't wish to claim any special expertise, but it did work first time. (So did having shingles, so not all my theories are to be recommended! In honour of the shingles, Cake declared there was a Bartlet Award for Poorly Sexing earlier, so this was passed on to Scrambled, so she is due a BFP.)

possiblemaybebaby · 19/10/2011 21:22

Ah, Bartlet, you poor love. Hope you are getting some yummy food in you tonight and that you are getting lots of TLC Smile

CakePigeon · 19/10/2011 21:22

Oh Bartlet sorry you are feeling rubbish.

No news from me other than for the first time in ages I'm in a good mood Grin of course this has nothing to do with being off work today...

shinyblackgrape · 19/10/2011 21:50

Bloody hell Bartlett - I feel like such a lazy novice. I decided that I ovulated on Saturday (sore side and positive OPK) so managed Sunday and Monday am. I am definitely doing what you suggest next month. Although due to all the brooking, I am sure I wont need to [hgrin]!

I hope you're feeling a little bit better too Thanks

Not much other news here. Am driving self mad googling pregnancy symptoms even though I am only 4dpo so there is no way I can have any.

I also succumbed to some 2for1 first response tests in Superdrug today too and a big batch of cheapies from Amazon have turned up too. I think I may have to get DH to hide them Grin. God.....this is torture!

shinyblackgrape · 19/10/2011 21:52

Possible - I have just ordered the Mary Berry Great British Bake Off book (arrives on Friday). Is that the one you have been using?

I also succumbed to the new Jamie Oliver too! Only £10 though so a bargain!

possiblemaybebaby · 19/10/2011 21:55

Shiny I have both those books, amazing!!! But I also just got Mary Berry's Baking Bible. So so good!!

I have just been consulting Dr Google, and apparently PCOS can give false positives on OPKs.

shinyblackgrape · 19/10/2011 22:07

Ooooh Possible - I looked at the Baking Bible. Do you think it is better, honestly?

I still have time to change as ordered off Amazon.

I'm a good basic baker (and have my trusty Australian Good Housekeeping recipe books [hgrin]!)

Oh no re the OPKs [hsad]

Imps7 · 19/10/2011 22:07

Tee hee Shiny - welcome to the calm and relaxed way to TTC!!

Like the sounds of Mary Berry's GBBO book - think will add it to my Christmas list!

possiblemaybebaby · 19/10/2011 22:09

It is amazing, but so is the british bake off. Baking bible has many more simple every day recipes. I think the 2 baking books are better than Jamie, but Jamie is a good read too. I;m not really helping am I?! Smile

As DH said, no need to panic yet. Will test in a few days and see if still positive

DizzyKipper · 20/10/2011 06:33

Have! It's good to see you, it's been ages!

musicalmrs · 20/10/2011 07:22

Cor blimey, you lot don't half talk!

Maybe, your beaded instruments is a cabasa I think :)

I'm also a huge baking fan, though having to lay off it as DH is not supposed to be eating much sugar at the moment...!

possiblemaybebaby · 20/10/2011 08:52
PopcornMouse · 20/10/2011 09:18

I know I said I'd wait til tomorrow, but... Blush BFN. Not even a whisper of a line. Feeling thoroughly deflated today, though oddly I do feel a bit better knowing either way :(

Fingers XX for you maybe. Are you charting? That is supposed to be way more accurate than OPKs, apparently...
