OP posts:
farfallarocks · 19/10/2011 09:53

Thank munki

popcorn I have the opposite in my household. Dh asked me what I wanted for xmas and literally the ONLY thing I want is one of them there baybeeez.
DH 'And you shall have one' Ah bless 'im.

possiblemaybebaby · 19/10/2011 10:06

Ah Popcorn they aren't always tactful are they?

Far that is so sweet. I am considering asking for one for my birthday and for Christmas. Greedy? Moi?

Thanks Bartlet glad the puking is begining to settle down. When is the viva? Lots and lots of luck. I hope it is all over in a couple of hours. Though surely if you are pukey, they may rush to finish it sooner.... Smile

BabySade · 19/10/2011 10:11

It's ALL of us next Farfalla Grin I'm thinking your going to be our third post fannycam BFP. So glad your results were good btw, only just seen that post.

Shiny try to hold off testing if you can, keep as busy as you can as the 2WW is torture. I'm hardly one to talk though as every few months I convince myself I'm upduffed & spend most of my free time PIAR & obsessively googling symptoms Blush

I can't remember what everyone has said, stupid iPhone app. Wish I could read posts while adding one.

Anyone good with OPKs? DH had to give sperm sample last fri & couldnt have sex for a few days before. Anyway he was away on Saturday so couldn't DTD. On Sunday I did on OPK (had EWCM) & I think it was positive. The line was as dark but it wasn't as thick as the control iykwim. Do you think that's a positive? EWCM disappeared the next day. The only reason I'm doubting it is cos it was CD15 & my cycles usually last at least 31 days & are sometimes as long as 35. Surely my LP couldn't be that long? Sorry for the rambling post Smile Any ideas?

BabySade · 19/10/2011 10:14

Sorry what I meant to add to that is I did the OPK on Sunday morning & DH didn't get home until midnight. We DTD but when I tested the next morning it was negative so if it was ovulation I think we missed it Sad

farfallarocks · 19/10/2011 10:37

Hmmmm baby it depends when you ovulate I guess?
I know I ovulate pretty soon after positive OPK but others don't until 3 days later so you would be ok in that case.

I think most LPs are between 10 and 16 days long (lucky you with a long LP!!)

If not this month, then the next, that is the new mantra!!

BabySade · 19/10/2011 10:41

True Farfalla if not this month then next month Wink
I'm making 30 cupcakes for a baby shower later so I luckily don't have anytime to agonise over it all. You know I used to be cool Grin a few years ago I barely knew what the word ovulation meant...

PopcornMouse · 19/10/2011 12:06

Ahhh, far that's lovely!

baby I think you generally ov after a +OPK - within 12-24 hours someone (bartlett?) said - as it's the surge in hormones that the sticks pick up that trigger the ovulation process?? Not an expert though :)

DrMunkenstein · 19/10/2011 12:13

I think you ovulate between 24 and 36 hours after your LH surge?

Trying to remember from uni days....

BabySade · 19/10/2011 12:46

Thanks for the help everyone Thanks where is Bartlet? we need your wisdom! I have done another OPK which is negative so think I will start classing myself in the 2ww. So I've only DTD once this cycle, I'm sure I'm pregnant as it only takes 1 sperm and 1 egg don't ya know?! Wink

BabySade · 19/10/2011 12:47

Btw who is due the next positive pee stick? I'm lost on where everyone is in their cycles Smile

shinyblackgrape · 19/10/2011 12:53

I think it is 24 - 36 hours after the stick turns pink.

DH had some long boring very interesting explanation for why that was the timescale etc after looking at the leaflet with mine. However he is only a dentist so would listen to any docs on here! [hgrin]

Hope everyone else is doing well.

I am driving myself mad imagining symptoms etc although I know that there can't be any 4dpo. I am going to try and wait to test until period is due.

TheLittleFriend · 19/10/2011 13:03

Loving the excitement on the thread today.

shiney try and hold out a bit longer before you poas. Though you obviously are pregnant, no pee stick will agree with you this early, and you don't want to see a bfn and get upset.

Ninja i just looked back and you were actually on the first thread, so you have a well deserved bfp!

OP posts:
possiblemaybebaby · 19/10/2011 13:13

I was on it too, but surely this means Ninja is setting a precedent? Smile

And you are so right Baby it only takes one. Hope the 2ww flies by so you can show that pee stick who's boss!

Imps7 · 19/10/2011 13:14

My positive pee stick is still about 16 days away!! ARG! Am on CD 15 - due to lay my egg on CD 18 or 19.

In exciting Timing Couldn't Be Worse developments, one of my former bosses has told me that his firm will be recruiting at the start of their next financial year (April) and that he wants to give me the job (me! Little ol' me!). I will be leaping at the chance to work with him again - but by then I will of course be 6 months pregnant - worst timing EVER. Hurrah!

Re: OPKs - I think you're normally supposed to ovulate between 12 and 36 hours (how usefully specific [hhmm]) but it doesn't guarantee that you will ovulate then - I used them only once way back at the start and got so stressed about impending ovulation and the importance of shagging immediately that I actually delayed ovulation until a week later. In the run up to actual ovulation, my OPKs didn't show a positive (but then, they were the internet cheapies which I know don't like me). I think that the only way to be certain of Ov is to take temperatures to see a continued rise.

Farfalla I think I got so side tracked by Ninja's BFP yesterday that I completely forgot to say "Yay!" re: your test results! So I'll do it now: Yay!

Imps7 · 19/10/2011 13:15

I think I was a late arrival on the first thread! I will have to look back and remind myself!

Imps7 · 19/10/2011 13:23

I just checked - I was a late arrival on the second thread. Technically it's not my turn yet then!

possiblemaybebaby · 19/10/2011 13:30

It will be Imps, it will be.

Brilliant news about the job. This pretty much guarantees you will be seeing that BFP this month Smile

ScrambledSmegs · 19/10/2011 13:48

Ooh definite ironic BPF due for you, Imps.

.

On CD17 now. Normally have short cycles but fingers crossed the B6 has done it's job. I was up to 24 days last cycle (from 21 days) and that was only on a basic B spectrum vitamin from seven seas. So even my least favourite relative does make an unexpected appearance, I think she'll be late Wink.

But obviously I'll be waving that positive pee stick like a loony on this thread sometime next week Smile.

farfallarocks · 19/10/2011 13:53

Yay for b vits!!
Thanks imps for the yay. Can't wait to get cracking again

p.s. I was also on the first thread and its making me panicky that everyone is moving on without me :(

farfallarocks · 19/10/2011 13:53

p.s. is late still lurking about?
Hope all is well with you?

NinjaChipmunk · 19/10/2011 13:58

I really hope I am setting a precedent as you all really deserve that bfp. I'm at work today and really can't concentrate on anything.
imps what fantastic Timing Couldn't Worse news! If he likes you as much as it sounds, he'll take you on even with a bump in tow. Smile

shinyblackgrape · 19/10/2011 13:59

Far - don't be [hsad] - you were just on the wrong thread before, that's all!

NinjaChipmunk · 19/10/2011 14:00

oh far please don't panic, you'll get your bfp don't you worry. Especially if you have a fannycam coming up.

BabySade · 19/10/2011 14:00

I think I was on the second thread, I was actively stalking you all for a while before though Blush

I was just thinking about Late hope you are doing ok.

Potential new job sounds good Imps, yay for you.

I'm currently decorating all my cakes while watching Stardust. I love that film Smile

farfallarocks · 19/10/2011 14:02

Thanks gals.

imps timing could NOT be worse so it shall be THUS
