And so it begins again.....

OP posts:
ScrambledSmegs · 14/10/2011 13:53

I do have short cycles (has been as short as 21 days but last one was 24) but that's normally down to a short luteal phase. I ovulate pretty regularly at CD14-ish, I can tell because my temperature sky-rockets, I get more CM (mmmm!) and DH turns into <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=richard+armitage&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&biw=1024&bih=673&tbm=isch&tbnid=lrBSTUAxkm8XoM:&imgrefurl=unitedagents.co.uk/richard-armitage&docid=9WqUcfEZUhfDFM&imgurl=unitedagents.co.uk/sites/default/files/Richard-Armitage.jpg&w=276&h=367&ei=9y-YTsqKJIrCtAbktOH5Aw&zoom=1" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Richard Armitage. Yes, really.

I'm pretty sure FF is confused as I haven't been temping that long. Also I've been ill so that must have mucked my temps up.

Cake a couple of days variation between cycles really isn't anything to worry about. I think irregular periods is defined as cycles that vary quite significantly, like a week or so.

scarletfingernail · 14/10/2011 13:54

Dizzy a line! How fantastic. I understand you feeling apprehensive about it. I'm sure that by Monday the line will be much stronger.

farfalla great results, I think that an ironic BFP is in our midst.

Generic Have a fab holiday, hope you're off somewhere lovely and come back feeling relaxed.

Ninja You'd better get your BFP now you've told us all about your wind or else we'll be thinking that you just enjoy a good old fart Wink

Hope everyone else is ok and has a lovely weekend.

ScrambledSmegs · 14/10/2011 14:01

Cake - Crosshair? Solid or dashed? No, nothing like that. I've got a little eggy icon though, and the box is green. Am I in the right place?

farfalla I don't really drink Blush. I gave up when pg with DD and I never really got started again. [weirdo emoticon]

Vanilla cupcakes with chocolate buttercream icing anyone? I thought I was feeling better, but it turns out not so you can have them all Sad.

CakePigeon · 14/10/2011 14:12

scrambled when you view the chart on FF, there's a crosshair which shows you your ov day (only comes up post ov) It's solid lines if it's pretty sure and dashed if it's not 100%. Your little egg symbol is in the calendar view I think?

Please may I have a cupcake? Grin

CakePigeon · 14/10/2011 14:12

Ps Lucas north!

PopcornMouse · 14/10/2011 14:13

Oh scrambled, you must be poorly if you can't manage cake! I hope you feel better soon. Brew Thanks

Far that's great news! though it also means if I don't get a BFP this month I may have to cut down on booze myself, sob What does progesterone do, other than dictate the length of ones luteal phase?

Biscuitsandtea · 14/10/2011 14:16

Oh i do lurve Richard Armitage

And vanilla cupcakes with chocolate icing

'
Sorry to hear youre not 100% yet Scrambled. Still if its near ov time for you at least you get to go to bed with RA! WinkGrinEnvy

Imps7 · 14/10/2011 14:28

Farfalla great news on the progesterone and LP! Your BFP is imminent - I know that you've not been SWI this month, but SWI, schmi - if lack of sex worked for Mary and Joseph then there's no reason it can't work for you too. I don't reckon an immaculate conception is beyond the power of this thread at all.

I'm pleased that your progesterone/LP have both increased at the same time as you cutting down on alcohol - I'm still trying to be very well behaved on that front but it isn't easy! I think I must have started rumours flying round about me as I've started driving everywhere simply so I've got an excuse not to drink. I need some friends who are not complete winos less of a bad influence on me!

Ninja you're definitely next! When's PIAR day??

Where are you off on your hols Generic?? Am v jealous - I am desperate for a week off work even though I've only just had once. Next week off isn't until the end of January! Arg!

farfallarocks · 14/10/2011 14:32

imps I am a devout lapsed catholic after all, if there is going to be an immaculate conception in this thread then I reckon I am due it :)

ScrambledSmegs · 14/10/2011 14:50

Thanks Cake! It's all clear now, no crosshair yet so fingers crossed everything is still to play for Smile.

Yep 2 Days Till Richard (2DTR) for me! Woohoo!!!

GenericDietCola · 14/10/2011 16:12

How have I missed Richard Armitage - yum yum yum! Never heard of him

Scrambled sorry you still feel poorly sick, but while you do, let me help you out with that cupcake.

Farfalla great news re the progesterone and good that you don't have long to wait for the other results and the joy that is dildocam. When I had mine last week we were chatting about tv programmes and for one moment I stopped and thought 'here I am, lying on a bed with a total (male) stranger holding what amounts to a giant dildo up my wotsit, chatting about Life on Mars - how odd'

Imps I like a drink too and before DD me and DH used to drink bloody loads rather a lot, so it won't necessarily harm your fertility (GenericDietCola Case Study [2008]). Having said that, I think you are very wise to cut down. I've cut down this time and am sure it will help

We're just off to Yorkshire for a week in a cottage - should be nice and I am v looking forward to a week off work. Plus this is the first week of the 2ww, so hopefully I won't be mentalling obsessively.

CakePigeon · 14/10/2011 16:16

Ooh I'm in Yorkshire this weekend too generic just for the weekend though, visiting relatives - carefully arranged so no swi was necessary whilst staying at my mother's house Grin

Biscuitsandtea · 14/10/2011 16:25

Oh my goodness Generic - this must also mean you don't watch spooks? You've missed out on two of my favourite things (spooks and the lovely Lucas north Wink). Not only is he easy on the eye but he has a luscious northern sexy voice (although I think he's actually from Leicester).

Famous for being in Spooks, Robin Hood, North and South, Strikeback and last but not least the chap who married the Vicar of Dibley. Can't believe you've not watched any of these things Confused

I would strongly recommend you rectify this ASAP.

Hope you have a lovely week away though and DH recovers from his cold xx

Biscuitsandtea · 14/10/2011 16:28

Sorry someone else's DH had a cold (who oddly enough is away on a cottage this weekend)

Soz Blush

Hope you have a lovely week away anyway Generic and no one gets a cold Smile

jaggythistle · 14/10/2011 16:30

Scan was fine, only one wriggly baby present, sorry to disappoint Grin.

Measuring a week ahead of where I thought so apparently 12+3 now...

must do work.... already got here 2.5 hours late after long appointment!

will try to catch up later, you ladies chat soOOO fast.

Imps7 · 14/10/2011 18:28

Oh I LOVE Yorkshire! Have a super lovely time Generic and Cake!

Biscuits I may well incur your wrath by admitting that I haven't seen any of those programmes of which you speak, other than the Vicar of Dibley (which I love!) Therefore I have nooooo idea who Lucas North is, or indeed Richard Thingy (forgotten his last name). I tend to just watch cooking programmes and Location Location Location on tv!

Right, I shall be absent for the rest of the weekend - off out tonight for dinner with friends (am driving - [halo emoticon]) and then will be visiting friends in Brighton until Sunday.

Good rat smacking all!

jaggythistle · 14/10/2011 18:31

Enjoy Yorkshire Generic :)

I've only been once but I'd like to go back sometime. Recommendations welcome for places to stay/visit!

Have a nice time Imps.

Biscuitsandtea · 14/10/2011 19:13

Ah Imps I couldn't really be cross with you, or Generic despite your lack of tv viewing. I also love cookery programmes and LLL type things too

Biscuitsandtea · 14/10/2011 19:14

And I love Yorkshire too - have a fantabulous weekend Generic family xx

TheLittleFriend · 14/10/2011 19:25

Great news Jaggy

I'm ok ta Generic. Rang my acupuncturist who has fitted me in tomorrow. I think I might be putting too much belief in this being the thing that will fix me tbh, but it does make me feel better. Hope you have a great holiday.

OP posts:
GenericDietCola · 14/10/2011 20:29

Biscuits I have never seen any of those progs apart from The Vicar of Dibley! I think I would have liked Spooks, but it's finished now hasn't it? Dammit.

Jaggy great news re scan!

Imps I love Yorkshire too - tis just over The Pennines for us. You have a lovely weekend too!

Little glad you are feeling OK. I think as long as you enjoy the acupuncture, you should carry on going. It can't do any harm and perhaps is was that that had an effect on your last cycle. Maybe this one is a blip and you will start noticing more of an improvement soon. I really do hope so anyway.

Oh and before I go, here is my top tv totty:
<a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=max+beesley&hl=en&sa=X&rlz=1R2ADRA_enGB425&biw=1280&bih=600&tbm=isch&prmd=imvnso&tbnid=g1c9NCLkyjNXtM:&imgrefurl=www.stephen-booth.com/castingpage.htm&docid=uVGSTSuU9732NM&imgurl=www.stephen-booth.com/max_beesley.jpg&w=209&h=280&ei=xouYTuLxKInw8QO27827BQ&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=355&vpy=157&dur=63&hovh=224&hovw=167&tx=93&ty=115&sig=116955238510205859138&page=1&tbnh=112&tbnw=84&start=0&ndsp=23&ved=1t:429,r:2,s:0" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Max Beesley

scarletfingernail · 14/10/2011 20:42

Amen to that Generic, Max has always been in my top 5 as well. Have a good week in Yorkshire, the forecast is good for this weekend so you should see some sunshine.

I also have never watched any of those other programmes mentioned and have no idea who the totty is you're talking about but might well have to Google now.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 14/10/2011 20:47

Hi preggos! I always forget just how fast this thread moves! I've been completely, utterly, and painfully swamped at work for the last few days so my MN time has been rudely curtailed!

I had my 12 week scan earlier as well, and like Jaggy it was good news so I'm over the moon! Unfortunately in my burst of excitement about the scan I managed to max out the pee stick endorsed preggos thread without realising! So now it's full and I can't add a link to the new thread I've set up for us! I hope you don't mind if I post a link to the new PSEPP thread here? you are all more than welcome to pop in, it would be lovely to see you in there, and considering you're all so clearly pregnant it's definitely your natural home!

Little I'm sorry to hear AF has snuck up on you so fast! Evil evil hag! We are all Brooking No Argument that this will be her last visit for a long long time! Your cycles do sound particularly short unfortunately, have you thought about getting your GP involved in the No Brooking action? (Apologies if you've already spoken about this, either for or against).

Congrats to Dizzy! I'm an early tester too and so my first BFP (and the next 5 or 6!) were all super faint, but a line is a line! I will be No Brooking my hardest that your line gets darker by Monday!

Enjoy your hol Generic! Also best of luck to Ninja for your (inevitable) BFP next week! You are long overdue on the PSEPP thread! There's a vom bucket with your name on it!

Apologies to anyone I've missed out! The babybrain has gone up a gear this week!

Biscuitsandtea · 14/10/2011 20:57

What do you people do instead of watching Spooks Confused

Spooks is on its last series now but it's a but rubbish this series so I wouldn't bother picking it up now.

Early series are good though if you ever see them repeated anywhere. Other spools totty includes Rupert Penry Jones and Matthew McFadyn (sp?)

Would link to their pics but on iPad - soz

(obviously I'm on the iPad because I'm watching yet more tv Blush, this time The Mentalist)

Great scan news all round today - very proud of all involved. Grin

Biscuitsandtea · 14/10/2011 20:58

Stupid auto correct is convinced it's called spools not Spooks.....
