And so it begins again.....

OP posts:
Solars · 13/10/2011 16:07

Yuck 2ww!! Glad you've got the busy weekend though and then not long 'til your BFP, everything crossed for you too, lovely!

possiblemaybebaby · 13/10/2011 16:15

Biscuits that's brilliant news! Difference in heartbeat you say? Possibly a girl this time round?!

So sorry Little, but as others have said, is it definitely AF?!

Glad the clomid is going ok Solars

Biscuitsandtea · 13/10/2011 16:18

I wondered that but the old wives tales seem to say faster for a girl? Ah well, I am so not bothered which flavour I get so I'm happy either way :)

Biscuitsandtea · 13/10/2011 16:18

By 'not bothered' I of course mean I'd be delighted with either, not ambivalent sort of thing Blush

Biscuitsandtea · 13/10/2011 16:19

And glad the clomid is going ok Solars - long may it stay side effect free. Are you tracking your ov this month at all with temping or opks or anything?

Solars · 13/10/2011 16:26

I think it is faster for a girl Biscuit but i'm not an old wife yet so can't be sure Wink

I don't temp Biscuits but I have bought some opks this month, after not using them for quite a few months now, so we'll see how it goes. When is your next scan now? 20weeks?

Maybe how are you doing today? any more baking, i'm feeling a little pekish...

DizzyKipper · 13/10/2011 17:22

OMG I've just seen a listing on ebay for 30 HPTs at £3.39 including P&P, why didn't I look sooner?? I could be going test crazy right now, but they're not even going to arrive until next week if I order them - and I'll definitely have gotten my BFP before then, darnit.

shinyblackgrape · 13/10/2011 19:24

How is everyone? Just off to catch up with all the news. I've been down on London today on the 7:00am train (groan) and now on the delayed train back (double groan). However, I will not be put off the rat smacking when I get in...........

Just a question: I am in CD12 (28 - 29 day cycle usually) at the moment. I have had EWCM for the last two days and used by pee sticks on days 10 and 11. However, they aren't positive!!! AM going to try when I get in tonight. I'm presuming all is fine as I could ovulate on day 14 and the pee sticks says that they are just predicting the pre-ovulations surge.

However, I have stupidly googled EWCM and no ovulation and scared myself silly with dreadful tales and am now wondering if I have some (as yet undiagnosed) fertility problem.

shinyblackgrape · 13/10/2011 19:33

STEP AWAY from the computer Dizzy Grin

CakePigeon · 13/10/2011 19:40

Hi all

Step away from dr google shiny ! you can have patches of ewcm earlier in your cycle than ov and also you can have it for the 4 or so days leading up to it so maybe you'll get a positive ov stick tomorrow?

Yay for good scan news everyone Smile glad all our no brooking babies are doing well

Hope you continue to be symptom free solars

Glad you're feeling better scrambled you certainly get this months bartlett award for poorly sexing. I had a cold.. I don't think it counts!

Think I have laid my beautiful golden egg so let the waiting and the rest from shagging commence!

TheLittleFriend · 13/10/2011 20:18

Thanks for support everyone. Yes, I've been to the docs, had tests / ultrasound etc. No, I can't be totally sure it's my period. But it is doing a good job of acting like one if not!

GenericDietCola · 13/10/2011 20:40

Little I am really sorry AF has got you so early again (but of course I hope it is not AF at all). I do hope something can be done.

Biscuits loved your story and phew what a relief re the wee! Agree with Ninja re your bump - plus the second time you are supposed to pop out sooner due to crap stomach muscles being an experienced mother.

Solars hope clomid is OK and not giving you nasty symptoms.

Scrambled glad you're a bit better and thank goodness DH took his baby making responsibilities seriously. You are in line for a well-deserved BFP this month.

Cake I have declared that I ovulated yesterday based on positive ov stick and crippling noticable ovarian twinges. That had better have been a nice, big, healthy egg that I laid last night!

ScrambledSmegs · 13/10/2011 20:52

at Bartlet award for poorly sexing! PMSL!!!

Biscuitsandtea · 13/10/2011 20:57

Ah Scrambled, I'm sure you're really good at it, not poor at all, fnar fnar WinkGrin

CakePigeon · 13/10/2011 20:57

generic we can be cycle buddies! popcorn I think you're a bit ahead of me this month because of my annoying long cycles?

little really hope you get some answers soon

shinyblackgrape · 13/10/2011 21:13

Ooookkkaayyyy - have made it back home and done the test. Not positive and think that the EWCM is disappearing.

We're definitely rat smacking tonight and I am stepping away from google right now!

Dizzy - I'm a fine one to be telling you to step away!

BartletForAmerica · 13/10/2011 21:30

Scrambled, as the previous recipient, I am delighted to pass on the Bartlet Award for Poorly Sexing (not often I do LOL, but thank you, cake!) and look forward to your ironic BFP in a fortnight.

DizzyKipper · 13/10/2011 21:31

That's ok shiny, I have been here a bit much the last 2 days Confused Doesn't help with the obsessing. But I am about to start 8 days in a row of work (including some evenings) so not sure when I'll be back on next Sad

Just been called away to bed. Will catch up with you all sooner or later, if I do test tomorrow I'll try to get on to update you but I've got to leave the house by 6.20am Confused

Good luck for the scanathon tomorrow all of those going in for them, and I'll continue to Brook for everyone even though I won't be here for a bit.

ScrambledSmegs · 13/10/2011 21:34

Ah, EWCM is not something to rely on, shiny. I also think that OPK's are a bit misleading - I think you need to get most of your rat-smacking in before you ovulate, and obviously on the day too. Eggs don't live as long as sperm, IIRC.

Biscuits - good? I am ruddy amazing, me Grin.

ScrambledSmegs · 13/10/2011 22:12

I'd like to thank my DD, for giving me the bug, her nursery for giving it to her in the first place, oh and of course, my DH. The man who laughs in the face of D&V and Does His Duty.

Mwah. Mwah.

Grin
possiblemaybebaby · 13/10/2011 23:23

Evenin' all

Grin Scrambled I almost shed a tear then!

If you test tomorrow Dizzy, lots of luck

Hurrah for EWCM Shiny OPKs can be notoriously hard to please

Glad your egg has popped Cake make sure you start nesting

I'm ok thanks Solars I have been so tired that every time I stand up I nearly fall over though Hmm

Think I am now going to crawl into bed, all this baking has worn me out. Bon soir mon petite-pois

DizzyKipper · 14/10/2011 05:53

Ok after an incredible amount of waking up last night it was finally time to test. Very very faint line, also confirmed by OH so I'm not imagining things. But I'm not feeling as excited as I thought I would, can't mentally count this as a pregnancy yet; all I ever got with the last one was very faint lines - taken over a week and 6 or 7 different tests, it wouldn't get darker (which is what to me signalled the problem of what was to come). So I'm going to wait until Monday to test again and hopefully the line is darker. Really hope this one counts.

Biscuitsandtea · 14/10/2011 06:48

Dizzy that's great news so far Smile. Totally understand waiting until Monday and really hoping that will bring you an irrefutable line. But well done Smile

Biscuitsandtea · 14/10/2011 06:50

And (as we've previously discussed) it is still early days for testing so I think a faint line would be all you'd ever get at this stage Smile

shinyblackgrape · 14/10/2011 07:25

dizzy Grin. That is great. Totally understand why you are being cautious though. Will keep everything crossed for you.
