Barbie I was sorry to read about your sil such a shame she's had such a short life, unfortunately we are going through the same situation here at work, one of our colleagues was diagnosed in summer and has just been moved to the hospice today, the whole office is on tenderhooks just waiting for "that" phone call
4ever The last molars are I think supposed to be the worse, E still hasn't got his, but definately gets the same symptoms as S when he is teething, hope that everyone has reassured you now, looks as if Barbie and Vjay are suffering too!
Vjay Have you got snow yet?

Well not too much to report, been missing as E has been just awful since the weekend, he didn't eat all weekend, was hugely naughtly to the point I was in tears on Monday, his favourite word is "NO" accompanied by shouts and face pulling, couldn't work out was wrong. He'd had a bit of a cold and a cough, slightly raised temp so thought that was why he wasn't eating etc but couldn't explain the bad behaviour. Then we went for his first hearing test since his grommets op and he passed with flying colours on the right ear but hardly heard a thing on the left when they had a look they said he had an ear infection and advised GP straight away. Got in at doctors and the nurse practioner who we normally see said no definately no infection. Queue me worrying all day that he's got permanent damage in left ear! By the time I picked him up from my Mum's at teatime his ear was running with gunk, so definately an infection. Really annoyed with surgery that they dismissed him, poor little buglet.Sorry for the rant - I do feel better now

As for snow, it comes and goes but is on all the hills and mountains in the distance , it's not been as bad as last year, so far...

Aw your poor little man buddha stupid docs dismissing an infection, mother knows best eh?! Sure you feel a bit disheartened that you thought the infections were behind you but hopefully this is just a blip.... oh the worry eh? There just so precious...

Vjay you made me laugh talking of teeth exploration missions armed with a headtorch Glad I'm not the only one with a strong willed little monkey who won't let me anywhere near her mouth! Frustrating though cos i need to know! She's having a huge nap as i type so could attempt it now but just don't have the heart cos want her to sleep and she looks so peaceful!

I know 4ever he was napping earlier and I just couldn't wake him, so I'm going to try tickles instead, make him really laugh then take a look.

Since my earlier rant had a phone call from mil to come and get one very inconsolable poorly boy back to different gp who has finally confirmed infection in both ears. 4ever you're right I thought we'd gave a break from these but obviously not

One on the top is through, the other side is coming through, no sign of the bottom two. It wasn't easy, I had to pull up the corners of his mouth as no amount of tickles would make him open his mouth wide enough. The things we have to do!!!

Vjay Yes got anti b's but he seems brighter tonight so GP said I could decide if and when I give them to him. Sounds as if you might be halfway through the molar trauma

rushing in, school fayre tomorow= tablet to make. Been a metnal week and also had some news, my 54 year old work colleague had a masive heart attack on Tues. night and died. He was 54, with a wife and teenage daughter. We were like walking zombies at work yesterday... heartbreaking.

4ever I've been lucky with both boys and teething... I always think if you know the cause then that takes some of the anxiety away and reassuring to know other Emmsys are going through it. Fingers crossed they appear soon. Summer is so chilled that seeing her like this must be very hard x

blue that is so , and always worse at this time of year I think. My aunt passed away 2 weeks ago, and I couldn't get down to the funeral . She married my uncle a couple of years ago and they were so happy together.
On a lighter notr I was thinking of you today and wee B turning 2 time flies!!!!

Vjay. Caster sugar, butter, water , consendsed milk and a very strong stirring arm . Type 'Scottish tablet' into Google and they will give you lots of variations on the above

buddha I think E Is feeling better now the pressure in the ear has eased and it's coming out. Our doctor did say they could still get ear infections with grommets if it's a bad enough one, doesn't mean they arent working. Loving his version of Christmas songs

Blue sorry to hear about your colleague it struck a particular chord for me as that's exactly what happened with my DDDDad, sudden heart failure at just 54, 2wks after Christmas ... Its sudden unexpected death that's all the more shocking, especially when so young... Vjay sorry to hear about your Aunty too... Barbie been thinking about your family also...

On a lighter note, Christmas is only 8 sleeps away!!! I think we should have a big boozy Emmsys Christmas lunch today or tomorrow?! Bring on some delectable nibbles, pink fizz. mulled wine, mince pies and Christmas cake! Who's up for it? I can provide crackers and party poppers!

4ever you will be blown away when Summer starts to chatter properly - its one of the best bits of motherhood having wee chats with these incredible wee people we created. Just love it.

I agree too I love that E is trying to have conversations with me, they are so random and usually about something that happened days ago that captured his imagination and then I have to decipher and remember what it was!
Oh and not on 2ww AF arrived last Monday?????? Only lasted one day so I've no idea what is happening really starting to stress I might be going through an early menopause? Never had problems with this before If you remember I didn't have on last month so this one is 3 weeks late!!

We just had snow!!!!! Only lasted about half an hr and didn't settle, but still, SNOW!!!!

Right I'm gonna trim Summers fringe while she sleeps before i get too sloshed at our party! Her 2nd ever hair cut poor mite looked so dishevelled yesterday with puffy eyes and wild hair!

We had a little bit of the white stuff too, we just had two 5 minute showers and nothing has stuck as far too wet and wild here!

Sorry I've been AWOL. I've spent a week looking after DD with a rash, high temperature and vomiting. Once DD was better I caught it. Rubbish! I almost feel human now. DD is full of life and running rings around me. Right, nap time......
