Quick hello from me ladies...

MLS sorry I forgot to say before no I'm not using my dreamgenii just yet but sure I will need to soon! That E pillow looks ACE! Although I think I would need a fully circular one as I need something for my lower back aswell, particularly when I had sciatica last time... I wonder if that kind of pillow exists! The dreamgenii is great but a bit annoying when you want to turn over. Eek, only 4 sleeps til your scan :)

Hello to the lovely moon, massive hugs xxx

soclose thinking of you lots...it's just horrible waiting. I have a couple of friends overdue at the moment, really feeling for you all! Will be lurking for news.

lbm we tried wrapping paper with ds on saturday... he wasn't keen on doing handprints at all, got quite upset about the paint on his hands haha, takes after his parents hating mess!! But he loved having a big paintbrush and a mini roller and just sploshing paint all over it it looks fab Grin we're gonna do it again and have bought some of those little rollers with patterns on them.

Swimming again tomorrow...will let you know how we get on!! GrinHmmConfused

monkey sorry, honey. Good that the ivf worked, not good that you've had to go through mc again. Hope you are OK and getting lots of cuddles from that lovely boy of yours. Take care, eat chocolate ( livining in Belgiu that can't be too hard) and come back when you can . Hope you are back soon

MLS the microwave fudge is that easy. Bit messy and takes longer than the recipe says but ultra yummy and freezes. I use the recipe from this site I think.
I don't see why the chocolate bark wouldn't work with dairy milk, you'd just have to decide what you want on top of it - hazelnuts and raisins would be good?

Oh and whilst we are on recipes - there is a great one for cinder toffee that can put all that bicarb that you lot are buying to much better use Grin. Dead simple and really popular in this house. Just search for cinder toffee.

louey feel your pain re non sleeping. Little un has not been much better the last few days.

soclose and you are - so close to seeing your lovely baby. All those lovely new baby snuggles - what is it that you call them, neeko? enjoy the peace whilst you can

cupcake all baby's tantrum at some time . I can see already that BB is going to be a nightmare - she does a lovely line in flinging her self on the floor and hitting her arms and legs. If you don't watch she comes over to you so that you can see it better ! She got left outside a shop on Saturday as she was screaming so much - I could see her from where I was and she stopped before I got back. Third child, fits in easy, placid - where did we go so wrong !!

littlebellsmum · 07/11/2011 20:48

cupcake love the idea of the rollers - will have to get some as I think BB would hate to get her hands dirty too. Enjoy the swimming!!

MummysLittleSunbeams · 07/11/2011 21:13

OMG LBM that cinder toffee looks goooooood! I can feel my teeth rotting just looking at a photo of it though! This weekend I bought on Ebay some brown strung tags, a couple of snowflake paper punches & some christmas stamps with ink pads. I'm good to go, or at least I will be when it all arrives! I thought about you the other day when I was sat on the floor playing with dd1, dd2 was watching & toddled up, pushed dd1 to the side, climbed up me, buried her face in my neck & then started kissing my face! She's a jealous little thing just like your bb!

Cupcake my new pillow arrived today, it's so big I'm in danger of smothering dh when I turn over in bed! You could always have a memory foam wedge support that you place under your bed cover for your lower back. I've got one in the loft, I also have a double sided-bump support & a long straight maternity pillow up there somewhere, I must get some of this stuff on Ebay at some point! You should check out this site & go to pregnancy calendar. It tells you how many more days to go & what percentage you are through your pregnancy. I'm 24% of the way there!

I'm counting down the hours until I can go & test my new pillow, I'm just hoping I don't have a night like last night when both girls had me up at 2.30. Confused

littlebellsmum · 08/11/2011 09:05

MLS just wait untill you have three [evil grin emotion], eh louey. Tis so good that there is another joining us !!
Jealous but sooo snuggllyy!!

MummysLittleSunbeams · 08/11/2011 13:55

I sincerely HOPE I'll be joining you & Louey, gotta get through this scan first (gulp).

loueytb3 · 08/11/2011 14:04

Oh yes, having three is just delightful when they all (separately) wake up during the night Wink. Actually, last night it was only two of them but it does blur into one sometimes Grin

LBM BB has just got you all wrapped around her little finger Smile. Oscar has slotted in just fine, fortunately (for him) he's a pretty happy little boy most of the time although he has taken to shouting VERY loudly when he wakes up at random times in the night. Cue me rushing into shove dummy back into his mouth in case he wakes the others up.

Am loving my running buggy, been out again this morning in the drizzle. I am determined to lose some more weight by xmas. Got a busy few days, Isaac's school parents meeting tomorrow, going into town to meet some MN friends on Thursday and Friday I'm meeting another MN friend (who also has a boy with ASD) at a shopping centre. Hopefully I can get my xmas shopping started.

soclose any twinges?? And more importantly, have you done the baking soda test yet?

barbie you're v quiet, hope you're ok x

loueytb3 · 08/11/2011 14:04

Cupcake how did swimming go?

littlebellsmum · 08/11/2011 20:43

MLS you are doing a grand job ( on here at least) of ignoring the minor issue of a scan and focusing on food. It will soon be over and you will be able to relax again ( and worry about more sleepless nights)

louey Oh, yes, I know she's playing me eg she will not lie still for me to change her or dress her, yet for daddy, she lifts her legs and helps him count the buttons. Works for me mind as I don't have to change her when he's around which is most of the time Smile. But I don't mind really - they grow too quickly and are so precious that a bit of giving in really doesn't hurt much

cupcakefairy · 09/11/2011 09:10

Cool thanks for that link MLS...I'm 29% there :) I'm sure everything will be just fine at your scan. Will you join the May AN thread after it?

Swimming was soooo much better thanks louey- feel a bit Blush for being so worried about it now but just had visions of him being like that every week now...yesterday I managed to keep his back to the slide the whole time and think that worked Grin he even did proper kicking and splashing and blowing bubbles under the water, yippeee.

MummysLittleSunbeams · 09/11/2011 11:24

No way Cupcake I won't be joining another AN thread, I have difficulty keeping up with this one! Will you? Glad swimming was a better experience for you this week.

We've just been to see a school for next year for dd1, I absolutely loved it & now I can feel the anxiety building up already about whether she'll get in or not!

GracieGirl · 09/11/2011 14:42

Hello all, sorry I've been away for a while. I haven't read the thread yet but will do as soon as I've posted this if DD stays asleep.
Anyhow, bit of a strange reason to stay away, but one that most people on this thread would understand. Once I'd had my scan at 13 weeks I knew I was supposed to be overjoyed, announcing my pregnancy from the roof tops, etc etc. But after the initial massive relief at seeing the heartbeat, all I felt was emotional numbness. You spend every second of the pregnancy keeping such a strong hold of your excitement, and burying your feelings as deep as you can up until the 12/13 week scan that I couldn't let go. I didn't phone my relatives for about 10 days (when my Mum's nagging got a bit excessive). If fact a lot of people still don't know now. It's really hard to explain to anyone, but I just needed a few weeks to come round to the idea that I was definitely pregnant, and likely to be staying that way, and was now allowed to be happy and excited.

I hope I didn't offend anyone by disappearing. Now off to catch up on everyones news.....

MummysLittleSunbeams · 10/11/2011 09:48

Where is everybody? It feels like this thread is dying a death....

GG no you didn't offend anyone I'm sure. I was like that with dd2, after I had my 12 week scan I had my blood test that didn't give me the results i would have liked & I ended up not telling a lot of people I was pregnant until about 20 weeks.

Barbie are you around? Am I right in thinking you have the angelcare baby monitor with the movement mat? Our baby monitor is on it's last legs so we need to buy another one & I wondered if you would recommend the angelcare?

loueytb3 · 10/11/2011 10:42

I'm here mls although I'm going out in a while. How are you doing, not long to wait now. Hope you are managing to distract yourself successfully!

gracie why would you have offended anyone?? We all know how hard pg is after a mc and everyone deals with it in different ways. Are you feeling excited now or still a bit nervous about it all? Hope you are at least not feeling sick now cos you had a really rough ride with that.

cupcake yay for J being a good little swimmer! So glad you persisted. I don't think I said but Isaac was awful for ages when we did swimming lessons with him (I used to alternate Isaac one week and Luke the next). He used to scream the place down. I took him down the pool away from the class and sang to him and eventually he calmed down. Now you can't keep him out of the water.

soclose check in please!! Hoping that you will be cuddling your snuggly baby very soon.

I had quite a successful day yesterday - finally managed to sell one of my double buggies for £100 and the lady also needed a car seat and we had just talked that morning about getting booster seats for the boys so she bought one of ours for £40. I can just about get into our garage now! One buggy to go and a ton of stuff to go on ebay when I get a chance. Oscar crying, got to go. Will be back later on this evening.

cupcakefairy · 10/11/2011 13:11

Ah thanks louey, yeah singing works well for ds too so I'm often singing stupid songs like 'kick your legs kick your legs' etc, just stuff I make up (very quietly so the other mums don't hear haha! Grin) congrats on selling your stuff! I have finally bought some Christmas pressies this morning, including a plush igglepiggle for ds, I'm stupidly excited to see him open that Blush

gracie thanks for popping in, hope you're ok. I know what you mean about suddenly having to change from worried to excited. As my scan was at 11 weeks (by my dates) I still have that niggle something could have gone wrong but I'm pretty sure my belly is growing so hopefully fine :) there are still loads of friends I haven't told too.

soclose thinking of you! My 2 friends who were overdue have both had baby girls in the last few days so maybe you will make it a hat trick :)

MLS thread has gone a bit quiet hasn't it! Is everyone christmas shopping? Know what you mean about it being hard to keep up with AN threads too but I quite liked it last time, gave me something to read on my phone during the night breastfeeds!

Can't remember if I mentioned I had a minor car accident in July and have been having liability dispute with stupid witch woman involved since...letters/statements etc back and forth from solicitors...then yesterday she served me in the supermarket!!! ShockShock had no idea she worked there! Thankfully wasn't a big shop so I just threw it in trolley and ran out while she gave me dirty looks! That was my drama for the day; I'll definitely not be going to her till again even if it has the shortest queue!!

barbie1 · 10/11/2011 13:25

Nooooooooo, this thread can't die Sad I am here, headache and all.
Will post more later, as it's dinner time etc.

Mls, yes I have the angel care and it's fab. Will tell you more about it later x

MummysLittleSunbeams · 10/11/2011 13:51

YES YES YES!!!!! Just picked up a little racing hb on my doppler! Smile Grin Smile Grin

cupcakefairy · 10/11/2011 14:35

MLS GrinGrinGrin that is amazing...makes you bit calmer for tomorrow I'm sure!

Hi barbie hope u feel better soon :(

Am a bit worried about curly not popping in to let us know she's ok. Has anyone heard from her? I might text her if she doesn't appear in the next few days...

VJayazzle · 10/11/2011 17:42

mls that's fab you found the heartbeat Smile

CurlyLikesShortShorts · 10/11/2011 18:07

Hello lovelies Smile sorry I've been MIA. I've not been able to keep any food down for the last couple of weeks and am really struggling in the evenings especially. I'm totally delighted as its a good sign but also really miserable if you know what I mean. I've booked a private scan tomorrow at 4. I tried holding out but it was too hard Blush

Really pleased you can pick up the heartbeat mls dopplers are so great Smile

Sorry for lack of personals. Just struggling to cope but hopefully will be back on soon to catch up xxx

MummysLittleSunbeams · 10/11/2011 19:56

Curly really glad things are going well for you but sorry it's involving so much vomit. Your scan is 2 hours after mine, how many weeks will you be?

Vjay just slink right back in here Mrs & tell us what you've been up to. Have you had any docs appt's this week?

bluesatinsash · 10/11/2011 21:11

Sorry not been on, my work in its wisdom have tightened up their IT access so can't do my lunchtime catch up posts . Lurk on phone but try not to be on PC too often at night and when I am its spent ilaising with my fellow School Parent Council members on fundraising etc. so I'm unable to post as much but do check in daily.

In fact its my 3 year anniversary of joining the thread last week, on the insistence of our long gone but never forgotten villagemum who I'd been bumping into on mc threads for weeks.. three years....jeeez!

Vjay - is everything OK with you and your slanket? Just busy with the boys? knowhowthatfeels.com!

MLS - that's just terrific you heard a HB, hope its loud and clear at the official scan tomor x

Curly it is rubbish to feel rubbish but great as its such a positive sign. i'm sure there will be a wriggly bean to see at 4pm

louey - how did Isaac's parents night go? We had ours today and all well, teacher got him spot on"quietly confident" that's my Isaac Smile

cupcake glad swimming went better this week

Right need to go, cuppa calling x

VJayazzle · 10/11/2011 21:35

Hello I'm ok, I'm on a fat free / low fat diet and having a blood test soon to see if it's gallstones which they suspect, but other than that I'm good and yes blue it's mad with the boys!!! Plus my latest course module is quite demanding and taking up my spare time.

littlebellsmum · 10/11/2011 22:05

yay for a heart beat , MLS , you were brave, what would have happened if you couldn;t find it , not cos it wasn't there but cos you just couldn't find it.?
And the thread isn't dying - it just goes through phases like this, we get busy and stop chatting and then something happens and we all pile back in. The baby boom in the new year will certainly get us chattastic!

GG I am the mother of all denial - with both my later two, took ages to tell everyone. Some really close friends didn't find out untill I was in the mid 20 weeks with jo.

blue I feel your pain - I am the solitary class rep for dd1's class and the rest of the parents are an enthusiasim free zone. Ah well, I enjoy the PTA stuff and we have fun even if they don't.

Need to go - doing a book stall tomorrow and need to get the books out. Oh, btw, if anyone wants any recommendations of good books to buy as Christmas presents, I sell Usborne books and whilst, I'm not going to sell any to you, I'm very happy to do some recommendations/ personal shopping of our stock. I do it for a few people at work and they seem to really like it. I love it too - spending other peoples money Smile
