Here we are, it's getting chilly, the slanketsnare out. Were all here to support, laugh and cry with each other.

BuddhaBelly · 27/10/2011 09:10

No symptoms now Sad I was shocked at how obsessive I was considering this was our first real month of trying Shock Blush but spd has reared it's head again, struggling to walk today and I couldn't think why when I've not had problems with that for 6 months now, so stupidly I googled and it's not uncommon for people to get spd before a bfp, so that with the sore (.)(.) and a bit of spotting yesterday got me very excited but AF is here today.
I think it kind of took me back to the whole crap cycle of 2 years trying, 3 m/c's and then constant stress and knicker checking, so I've had a good talk to myself this morning and told myself off Grin Normal service now resumed

4ever Have you come to any decisions about further treatment yet? It was a lot to take in in one go
Neeko Already got my stuff Wink

littlebellsmum · 27/10/2011 11:37

Shopping update - in addition to Sainsburys toys, Groupon has slankets on sale - 2 for £12 and they do kids sizes!!
They also have the most lovely little christmas trees from babyroots.co.uk that I've just got as presents for 2 familys for christmas. happy shopping!!

BuddhaBelly · 27/10/2011 12:09

Is there anyone out there who can put a white coat on and give me some advice please?

AF in august I started spotting for about 5 days and then had af for 10 days. In September AF was a week early lasted 4/5 days then had a second AF a week later that lasted for about 5 days. This month I'm 4/5 days early, should I get this checked or just keep an eye on it?

cupcakefairy · 27/10/2011 13:19

Hello ladies,
Thanks so much for all your lovely texts and messages yesterday. I'm so relieved and have a lovely happy feeling about baby cupcake #2 now.
MLS no, they put me a week ahead :( I'm gutted. So now 9th May but I did say I knew when I had ovulated and cos I'd gone so overdue last time I wasn't v happy about that date. Mw was great and said although they have to keep it as 9th as it's a full 7 days out, if I do get to 40+ weeks my date/charts etc will be taken into account. Just hoping this one comes nice and early!!

buddha sorry af flew in :( I don't think you have anything to worry about with af yet though...has it always been like clockwork before August?

mrskate the return of weird long cycles! We've all been there.... sorry about the bfn but hopefully you'll get an answer soon in the form of af (of bfp!) could just be that you ovulated v late...are you particularly stressed or tired?

neeko and lbm thanks for tips...I'm heading to sainsbury's website now!

Ds has been asleep for 2 hours so sure he will wake any moment...boo, what to do with a rainy afternoon!

MummysLittleSunbeams · 27/10/2011 20:44

Cupcake they changed my edd with DD2 by a week, but like you I knew exactly when I'd ovulated so I knew my dates were the correct ones & lo & behold, she came exactly on MY due date!

Neeko I went & looked at Sainsbury's website & I'm most disappointed to see that only selected toys are half price .

LBM I don't get groupon. I joined expecting to see some discounted slankets to add to my collection but I didn't see any anywhere & can't figure out how to search for them. Once again most disappointed!

Buddha sorry af flew in & that you were getting symptoms to f**k with your mind. This ttc business certainly messes with your head.

Not much happening here, I heard from dd2's cyst consultant this afternoon & he wants to see her again in 3 months so that's good news. She has just started standing up without holding onto anything & when I was in the kitchen this evening dd1 shouted "Mummy quickly, Kitty's standing on my stool". I raced into the living room to see her standing on the stool with both hands in the air then promptly toppling off onto her arse on the floor! Grin

CurlyLikesShortShorts · 27/10/2011 21:48

Big hugs to lovely moon let us know how you are doing xxx

barbie is dh back from Iran? Hope you are not too stressed lovely?

cupcake yay for minimufin being a happy jumping bean. Thanks so much for the text. Try not to worry about the dates. They may put you back in the next scan :) Have you told everyone yet?

4ever are you doing okay lovely? It will happen, it will xxx

mls you poor love, the blood sounds awful. A bit scary coming off the meds as well but it's fantastic that the doc feels that you are doing so well and now you can breastfeed too :) what a clever girl Kitty is!!

lbm have a fab holiday. Hope you have recovered from your crazy week!

blue total melt at B in his halloween costume. I'm so glad you get to spend your days together. I am really struggling with leaving curlygirl in nursery at the moment. I just want to be with her all the timeHmm

buddha it sounds like there is still hope this month or has AF arrived? I am so crossing all my fingers for you xxx

vj it sounds like you are getting as much sleep as me at the moment Grin

qa is everything okay now? Not long to go :)

mrskate I so hope that you get a bfp but I know how much my body has messed with my head previously so try and bury your head in the sand and hopefully AF didn't come today (or tomorrow Grin).

neeko just read your post about sainsbury's. I've got a mad urge to start xmas shopping today! What did you buy? :)

Big waves to everyone else. I'm such a lightweight I'm off to bed :)

MummysLittleSunbeams · 28/10/2011 08:52

Just a quickie - I just did the baking soda test again & it's definitely saying 'girl'!

Cupcake I meant to ask you if you had the nuchal fold measured & if so what was the measurement ? Also, do they do the combined blood test at your hospital?

Must dash, pumpkin to buy. [hgrin]

barbie1 · 28/10/2011 16:52

Struggling with DOlly who has been very ill. Full on projectile vomiting all Wednesday night. First time she has ever been sick and boy did she do it in style! Now we are dealing with fever and grumpiness, not eating or generally not herself. Once I get a minute I will catch up.

Happy weekends everyone x

cupcakefairy · 28/10/2011 22:18

Hi mls exciting about the test Grin i need to try it!
no didn't have the nuchal fold measured & they do some kind of blood test but I'm not having it. Didn't have it for ds either, we decided not to cos we wouldn't have the amnio anyway. I'm guessing you'll have it after your worries with Kitty?

MummysLittleSunbeams · 29/10/2011 07:10

Cupcake I had a feeling that you didn't have the nuchal/blood tests last time. Yes I'm having the tests again, just so I've got something else to worry about! Grin No I wouldn't have an amnio either, I just cant take the risk. I have Annie's doppler (big waves if you are lurking) & I'm hoping to hear the hb before my 12 week scan in 2 weeks. Do the test, do the test, do the test.... you must have some baking soda in your cupboards with the amount of baking you do!

Barbie it's alarming when your non-pukey child suddenly starts puking for England isn't it. Both of mine have never been sicky babies, dd1 has puked on about 4 occasions & dd2 has been sick once, so it's a shock when they do. Don't worry about your dd not eating, they can quite easily go for a week without food with no ill affects as long as they keep drinking fluids.

I'm a golf widow today. Dh has gone down to Kent to play golf until mid-afternoon so that means soft-play hell for me all morning. I'd better go & get showered before my two little monkeys wake up.

cupcakefairy · 29/10/2011 12:25

Mls I wanted to have the bloods last time just to know if I was high risk but my mum convinced me not to as I'm too much of a worrier! will do the baking soda test though dh wasn't impressed when I told him about it Grin enjoy soft play! we're off to the 1st bday party of my best friend's ds, where did that yr go?!

barbie hope dolly is ok, & that your nerves are holding up!

barbie1 · 30/10/2011 15:37

Hello all, feels like ages since I last posted. I still have a poorly dd, not sure when it's going to end...feels like never ending trips to the doctor, nappy changes and tearful cuddles. She has also got very bad eczema in her hands which are red raw and peeling. Not been at nursery for a week, hence me having no time to post.
I am also in pain most evenings, can hardly walk and got stuck in the bath the other night. Shock our washing machine also broke down the evening of dolls exorcist style vomiting and had only got fixed today so I'm ploughing away through the huge mountain of washing...apart from that all is ok with us Grin

I will sit and catch up and do personals tomorrow when dh is at football and have a few hours to myself...

Loads of love
B x

CurlyLikesShortShorts · 30/10/2011 21:28

Evening all. It's been very quiet on here. I hope everyone is okay Hmm

barbie you poor love you sound miserable. I can totally sympathise with the projectile vomit. We have had it a few times now and when she's that sick it's hard to know where to start cleaning up Grin Last time I got a stream down my back also when I picked her up! Make sure you take care of yourself. Could you get a babysitter or someone to give you a hand a couple of mornings a week so that you could catch up on kip? When her excsema gets a little better, you could try olive oil. It is amazing for keeping it away after the first signs and very good for healing without irritating. curlygirl is so used to it now she pretends to apply it to herself.

yay to it being a girl mls what is the baking soda test again?

cupcake how did the party go? I can't believe how fast time flies either (except at the moment :))

lots of love to everyone else. It's been three years since once of the worse days of my life (found out about 2nd MC at 3 month scan :() so I'm conscious that sept/oct/nov hold a lot of anniversaries of lost angels on this thread. Big hugs and hairstrokes to all who need them xxx

MummysLittleSunbeams · 31/10/2011 08:47

Curly pee in a pot with some baking soda in the bottom. Fizz = boy, no fizz = girl. Sending big hugs to you too.

loueytb3 · 31/10/2011 11:14

Hellooooo - I'm back :)

I have loads to catch up on and a mountain of washing but I just wanted to give curly a big {{{{{hug}}}} for her lost angels and also a very big WOOOOOOHOOOOO for her bfp! I was quietly optimistic when you posted just before I went on holiday about the spotting. That happened to me when I got pg with DTs.

cupcake fantastic news about your scan!

barbie am sorry that D is poorly, hope she perks up soon x

Big waves to the rest of you but I must go as we have no food in the house. I will do a proper post as soon as I can.

VJaaarrrggghhh · 31/10/2011 14:32

Hello hope everyone is well, especially wee Dolly, the poor love.

Not much to report here, Ajay got Lego stuck up his nose but wasn't too bothered by it so I waited and sure enough big sneeze and out it flew, the joys if two year olds!

Anyone guising tonight?

barbie1 · 31/10/2011 15:47

And relax....

Thanks for all your words re dolly being Ill, I had to take her back to the doctors again because she is still so fussy and obviously in pain. Her vomiting bug is not in her gut, and her pain is due to cramping. It will pass in the form of a few dirty nappies (not looking forward to that!) and I have to just give her plenty of love and cuddles, which isn't hard Smile she has stronger cream for her hands which the doctor is blaming her obsession with Playdoh!
The washing mound is finally going down and the constant smell of sick has vanished, so in all I think we have turned a corner.

It's a public holiday coming up over the weekend and we have the f1 grand prix next week too, so something to look forward too and take my mind of the amniotic band, which is where my mind has been constantly over the last few weeks, even though I'm trying my best to forget about it all.

I think my cold can be attributed to the stress I have been putting myself under...I have doctors on Wednesday for the dreaded glucose test and my 24/ 25 week checkup. I'm going to mention my constant pains and see if there is anything I can do. Hopefully I'll be on the mend soon....

Talking of being on the mend, how are you getting on vjay any more news on your problems? Are you in any pain now? I have been thinking about you and hope you are ok.
We have had about 20 kids around already, I thinking of turning of the lights and not answering the door from 8pm...I just want a nice bath and relax!

buddha sorry af came and got you, however it seems to me that you are mr than ready for baby 2 so get ready for us all to obsess with you on your next 2ww! How is e? Have you found him to be any better since the op? When do you find out if he needs any thing further done?

mls good news that k doesn't need to be seen for another 3 mnths, but gosh did I have my heart in my mouth reading about her standing on the stool Shock I have been following a thread of ladies who have done the baking soda test and so far it's been about 95% right! So yes I believe another girl for you!

4ever I've been meaning to give you a hug since your post, way up there ^. Far from taking steps back you are ploughing forward and getting ready to become a family of 4 Smile all these medical desisions are bloody hard to make, aren't they? What have you decided to do? For what it's worth I would go for it, you never know what is around the corner so I say live for today and worry about the future as it happens. Wishing you all the luck in the world...

moon if you are lurking please note that I think of you constantly and hope to hear from you soon x

blue I loved the pic on fb of b in his cot, he looks so so big!
Hope e ebaying is going well?

questions eek, not long now! Sorry to hear you have been unwell...I am so excited waiting to hear of your birth announcement. Wishing you a pain free and speedy labour.

curly cupcake and gracie come on girls, get the baking soda test done! But remember only teaspoon of it in a big cup...or you will end up like me...my bathroom looked like an Ibiza foam party, but not the kind of foam you want to be wadding in! Grin

I've missed people and I apologise, my butt is hurting from sitting too long. I will try to catch up more tomorrow.

Happy Halloween xxx

barbie1 · 31/10/2011 15:49

NOW in her gut...bloody I pad.

Vjay I did giggle at Lego up the nose...although me being the neurotic mother would of marched d right to a and e!!!!! Blush

VJaaarrrggghhh · 31/10/2011 16:16

barbie I got our coats and shoes on ready to go to a&e because at that point he was howling, but as soon as I opened the door he shot out and played in the garden so I let him go play for a bit then he sneezed just after.
I'm ok thanks, I'm going back to the docs next week to have things explained re the endo, then back again after that for the other pain. I'm on it now and will get it sorted xx

cupcakefairy · 31/10/2011 20:08

I just did it barbie...not so much as a fizzle or foam in sight ShockShock does this mean girl?? I'm so not prepared for that!! Grin

Vjay lol at sneezing out lego Grin

And massive hug to Curly for sad anniversaries. Hope you're feeling ok lovely, any news on an early scan?

Neeko · 01/11/2011 13:38

Hi all
Just in case anyone else has a lego problem you should make a seal over their mouth with yours as if you were going to kiss and then blow hard. It will possibly cover you in snot but should dislodge the lego!! Grin

Haven't got time to chat but thinking of you all.

P.S. Thanks for xmas cake recipe Vjay. It looks and smells fab. Bring on the festive season! Grin

VJaaarrrggghhh · 01/11/2011 15:51

Thanks for the top tip Neeko and pleased the cake went well Smile

Neeko · 01/11/2011 21:27

I did baking soda test too (for purely scientific purposes) and it turns out I have girl pee! Grin Blush Hmm Any other non pg Emmsy want to try? Vjay I can sense you being drawn to the cupboard with the baking soda in....

VJay · 01/11/2011 21:31
