Hello, I'm coming over to join from the June bus. AF appeared a bit unexpectedly early but at least it saved me testing tomorrow morning, as planned.

Am feeling a bit low, but at least I'll have AF while DH is working abroad next week so won't miss out on any extra action ;-)

festiemum · 30/09/2011 17:14

Thanks for your kind words Ladies. We are still ploughing on with TTC, as best we can. But one of the funniest things was the amount of tablets the private prescription the GP gave him was for.....

4 poxy tablets!!!!!! Even if we weren't TTC - that would seem a slightly pathetic amount! Shock

We'll just have to wait and see what they say at the hospital - he's there now. Fingers crossed they take pity on us!

Thanks to all! xx

GTR2882 · 30/09/2011 17:50

Oh good luck festie fx crossed that you get the news that you not only want, but deserve!!! I will be thinking of you!!

instructions so sorry the hag whore got you!! Think we need to start setting up traps to ensnare her so she can't come and find us Grin

Is it possible to get a positive OPK the day after ov?? Is it worth having a bit of SWI tonight as well?? Think i might just to make sure we catch that egg, would kick myself if i didn't bother tonight and we missed our chance!! I can see if DH want's to break any other items of furniture that we own Wink

louloubellamozzarella · 30/09/2011 22:30

GTR yes I think it is possible - that happened to me for a few days last cycle as the hormones stick around for a while. SWI away! DP away tomorrow night so I'm going to bed soon Wink Gosh I'm turning into such a sleaze.

Enjoyed a nice glass of vino tonight - made detour to supermarket especially. As I'm on my own for most of tomorrow eve, I'm planning to consume the rest of the bottle in front of some X factor or similar sh*te TV with plenty of cheese and crackers. Jel? I'm livin' the high life, me Grin.

GTR2882 · 30/09/2011 22:38

LouLou dtd just in case!! No more broken furniture to report though!! Think we really have done all we can this cycle so well and truly in the 2ww now!! Excited and anxious and trying not to think of the 'what ifs'!!

Am very jealous of your weekend plan! Went to the pub tonight but just had 2 lemonades :( oh well maybe one small glass of wine over the weekend won't hurt :)

Hope you get some SWI action tonight!!! Grin

MushroomMagee · 30/09/2011 22:48

I was collecting dd from nursery today and saw a mum with a newborn, her dd was kissing and cuddling the baby and I had a bit of a sniffle.. :( I am definitely ready for more babies :)

DH doesn't quite know whats hit him :o

MushroomMagee · 30/09/2011 22:49

Ooh loulou good luck!

Mama5isalive · 01/10/2011 04:16

iloveberries · 01/10/2011 07:00

AAHH, CD - nice. thanks :)

GTR I was reading your post from yesterday afternoon thinking "I hope she did SWI as think it could be worth it" and then was so pleased to scroll down and see you did. You have as you say done all you can. I think the mindset of realising it is only our job to 'introduce' the sperm to the egg takes the pressure off?? Then it's upto nature!

needinstructions Welcome to you. Bugger about AF but as mama says this is only short haul (though a 3 month flight is pretty long ;) ) so buckle up and bring a relaxed attitude (if you can)

LouLou - am liking the sound of your weekend plans a LOT, infact i will be doing muchly the same tonight. Early faves have to be janet and the scottish girl. I absolutely hate that frankie. what a twat. What are you thinking of the new panel? Sorry, I am a total x factor saddo!! But it got me through a lot of saturday nights in when i was pregnant or breastfeeding so i will always love it!!

Mushroom hello! bless you - hopefully you will fall easily and give DD a sibling. I always thought the hardest time would be TTC #1 but it's a funny feeling TTC #2 as i sooooo want to give DS a sibling (esp as i was only child and hated it... not by my poor mum's choice though :( )

festie keep us all posted

Well I am feeling REALLY run down at the moment, trying to pretend i'm not ill as don't think DH would want to make love to a sick person ;)
I decided already i am not going to use OPKs this month. it's just such a faff holding in pee and not drinking for hours at a time in the middle of the day. i do have some Clearblue dig ones left from last month but even though they say you can use first thing in the morning, i have read this is not the best time. well i suppose i could use them up as i'm going for the CBFM next month which i believe you have to use FMU with. Not to be obsessive (i keep reinforcing this to myself!!) but just to make the most of the window really.

Anyway - have lovely weekends, hope you're getting sun wherever you are! x

GTR2882 · 01/10/2011 10:05

berries yeah dtd!! Having to do it again today (it's a hard life Grin) because temp dropped slightly this morning and FF has indicated ov any time from CD48 - CD51 so don't want to miss any opportunity! And if today is ov day then I know I really have done everything I can!!!

Sun is shining here, rugby is on, house is cleaned! Just need to shop and do laundry and then I can enjoy :)

Hope you are all enjoying the late summer weather!!!

iloveberries · 01/10/2011 10:09

GTR - what CD are you on now? you'll be knackered by e/o wkend!

GTR2882 · 01/10/2011 10:11

CD50 today!! I know!! It's making me tired just thinking about it! But one more shot and then a nice 2ww break :)

festiemum · 01/10/2011 12:21

Wow, GTR, with cycles as long as yours, you really have to have commitment to the cause! I think if anyone deserves a BFP for pure grit, determination and hard work, it's you and your DH!

Well, I can firstly report that Viagra does work very well! Blush.

DH put the private prescription in yesterday and it cost £25 for 4 tablets!!! That's over 6 quid a shag!! Shock And we're wasting it at the moment really - but DH was in need last night - it's been a while!

The consultant at the hospital was very helpful. As I said, DH is on this cocktail of drugs, and it's not just the impotence; they make him tired, achy and a bit depressed frankly (though, as the consultant wisely said, we can't underestimate the effect of major heart surgery 4 months ago!!).

She gave him some bald statistics to mull over. On the drugs, he has over 80% chance of making it to his 60th birthday. Without them, that drops to 40%. It's a no-brainer really isn't it? He's 44 now; and we want him to see any child we do have grow up!

Anyway, the consultant was perfectly happy to do the referral for Viagra on the NHS. She has written to his GP to confirm her consent, so that's a weight off frankly!!

Hope everyone's having a lovely sunny weekend. It's gorgeous here! Hmm wine and cheese in front of crap telly sounds bliss to me Loulou! Berries I don't seem to get on with OPKS either. Last month they just confused matters frankly! I'm sticking to the good old fashioned temping and fanny batter method this month!!

GTR2882 · 01/10/2011 12:55

Oh festie I'm so pleased that you got the outcome you wanted from the docs!! I think you are equally deserving of a BFP let's hope this cycle is the last time you have need to worry about fanny batter, temps and whether that bloody egg stuck!! I'm rooting for you! Grin

Hope you all have a shagtastic weekend!!! :)

TreacleChops · 01/10/2011 14:12

Oops sorry not sure why that posted twice!! Confused

blonderedhead · 01/10/2011 18:38

Confused... Temperatures going up but negative opks every day. No ewcm although noticed change this month since period. Been swi-ing but feeling a bit clueless as to whether it's actually good timing. Help!

GTR2882 · 01/10/2011 18:52

blonde did you notice a drop in temp before it rose? How often do you POAOS? If you are not taking OPKs often enough you may miss your surge hence why they seem negative! As for the EWCM, some women never get any but still get pg!! What CD are you on and how long are your cycles?

MushroomMagee · 01/10/2011 21:59

iloveberries I hope so too! How old is your DS? This time is definitely harder as we have a bigger age gap than I would like anyway, so we have that pressure as well IYSWIM...
I'm feeling a bit left out here... I know I'm not going to ov for at least a week so there isn't really any point SWI is there?!
I'm having to restrain myself from buying OPK's.. a lot. I will stay relaxed about this. And repeat.

mama thanks for the welcome :) I have my fingers very tightly crossed that its short haul for everyone and that we are chatting on the ante natal boards instead soon.

GTR what will we all do for CM advice when you get your BFP?!

Hello Treacle ice lolly is very appreciated, I can swap you a custard cream? offers packet around

Mama5isalive · 01/10/2011 22:02

Welcome Treacle- here is your complimentary CM/CP guide & some Ov-ing sticks also I hope you enjoy this flight to BFPland! this is Your pilots Mama5, im undergoing final checks and the faithful cabin crew Loulou & GTR will shortly be passing through the cabin so if you need anything just press your button located above your head!
I may have to hand your over to the wonderful LL & GTR as im moving home and will have limited access to internet!!!! am so hoping the moving wont mess with my Swi!
Festie - i really hope that you really work for the £6 legover and stick your legs up afterwards!!!!!
GTR - the thought of you getting in the last SWi before the temp changes made me smile! you go girl!!!!!!!!!!
Im really not sure when to start swi -im on CD9 - DH has been waiting for me to give him the red light as to speak but last few nites just aint worked for me so just wanted to sleep!!!!!
Berries - i didnt think you need FMU with the cbfm - right GTR???? ( does that mean GURUTOOREAD)

OP posts:
iloveberries · 01/10/2011 22:12

mama - i thinkyou have a window of time but FMU is easiest right, can't see me taking my CBFM to work!! ;)

GTR - don't know if you can cope with it again but i read somewhere that the day before and the day after ov were best for conception... BUT of course you are the TTC guru!!

Mushroom - DS is 18months, such an awesome age. i wanted between 2 and 2.5 years so i've got a few more moths to hit that... having said that of course any age gap would be great, i'd just love to give him a little brother (or sister of course but i think i will breed boys!!)

mushroom - is it possible for you and DH to SWI everyother day throughout cycle? I think that is a good plan if you can physically and logistically manage it just incase you're not ovving when you think? Or maybe you are an expert at finding ov. I myself am NOT!! I don't think i will ov next week but still going at it everyother day.

Treacle - sorry to hear about AF. welcome to the flight!!

BFPs all round this month i hope ladies :)

Mama5isalive · 01/10/2011 22:19

Berries- im sure i saw somewhere that using the FMU isnt good for ov-ing because of the long period of time and its too concentrated so may give off wrong result, but maybe your right ( i have not used it so not sure!!!!!)
yeh im sure my window of Swi is too early for now- right????? if Dh behaves himself may just give him some!!!!! have not noticed a change in my CM but i never do!!!!Confused
