Thanks for the advice - i was loving GTRS first words of advice and looking forward to getting wasted but then the sensible ladies joined in Wink
haha!

In all seriousness I think a few will be fine... If it takes us years to have a DC2 then i'm not prepared to give up all the luxuries :)

Happy Tuesdays everyone!!

iloveberries · 28/09/2011 11:23

Oh stats..

This is me
DS1 18months (look at him feeling even more lucky these days!)
TTC #2
Age: 31
AF due 21/10 or 24/10 (I have 31/34 day cycle since coming off pill)

what other vitals do you need?!

louloubellamozzarella · 28/09/2011 11:26

Welcome on board pb

Forgot to mention, I POAOS this morning and got a faint line. I'm on day five of what looks for be a 26 day cycle.... is this normal? Does a faint line (not 'squint' faint but just say 40% of a definite line) mean ov is just on the way and my hormones are gearing up for it or that it's imminent Confused - confused!

louloubellamozzarella · 28/09/2011 11:26

*looks to be

iloveberries · 28/09/2011 11:30

another question ladies (sorry i am new to MN and finding the advice AMAZING so probably milking it a bit!!)

  • which ov sticks do you use? and at what time of day do you POAS?

thanks!!!

it's like a one-stop advice shop!

louloubellamozzarella · 28/09/2011 11:39

Righty then. Stats we have so far are below. C'mon ladies, please add in yours (plus an interesting fact if you feel like it) then once we've got a few more we can update the list again (to save people's poor fingers scrolling down the thread full of stats lists - or maybe I have weak fingers?! :) )

BFP only First Class upgrades
Awaiting passengers

Necking a complimentary G&T and Waiting to POAS
Waiting to update for passengers due AF in the next week or so :)

Joining the mile high club for lots of SWI
blonderedhead (35) ttc #1 AF due 18th October or possibly whenever Auntie bloody feels like it.
Loulou, 27, TTC#1, AF due (19 October - but unsure of cycles so maybe later) - trying to resist a big slug bottle of red wine every night
Bluetinkerbell (28) ttc #3, AF due possibly 31 October, also depending on cycle length
iloveberries, 31, TTC #2, AF due 21/10 or 24/10 (I have 31/34 day cycle since coming off pill)

Alrighty, I clearly have too much time on my hands this morning. Off out to savour some of this miraculous autumn sunshine, laters!

GTR2882 · 28/09/2011 11:43

Loulou - not unusal to get faint lines as LH is always present and usually you need at least 50% of the test line to be as dark or darker - i would SWI anyway just in case; does seem a bit early but is not unheard of!!! Aren't our bodies wonderful!?!

Berries - i use the amazon cheapies (not sure what they are called) but i am yet to get a true positive on them (making me worry that i have not yet ov'd). I normally test when i get in from work (around 5:30pm) - but you can test any time from 10:00am to 8:00pm (you do need to ensure that you reduce liquid intake for at least 2 hours before and really allow the wee and test to come to room temp before testing - about 20 mins). I would also recommend testing more than once a day as the LH surge can be over within a 24 hour period, so you could test at 10:00am and get a negative and not bother testing until the same time the next day and still get a negative, but the surge may have occurred during that 24 hours and you will have missed it!! I tend to keep my tests as well and i write the CD and time on them so that i can cross check :)

iloveberries · 28/09/2011 12:06

wow GTR - you are dedicated!

I have some CB digital ones which i will use this month. prob one a day at 2ish... i guess coupled with SWI every other day should cover it!!

Right, off for some lunch now!

louloubellamozzarella · 28/09/2011 20:48

Ta love (GTR!) yes they have definitely been darker a couple of weeks ago when I think I ovd. For me, they are either faintish like today or quite dark (nearly same as control line) and seem to be nothing in between.

Operation thong starts tonight rolls up sleeves

My mission is to wear a different thong for each SWI night Blush. I have a load that I don't wear like ever very much as I'm not a weekday thong kinda girl unless wearing something quite clingy. So, now is the time to bring out the ammunition. DP WILL surrender and the BFP will triumph. That's the plan, anyway...

Mama5isalive · 29/09/2011 00:53

ohhhhhhhh Loulou - you get in there with your thongs and get on in there!
Oh GTR - i have everything crossed for you, never giving up hope!
We will soon be flying over OV-ingland and then 2wwland to then reach our final stop BFPland - whooop hope your enjoying the flight and that the in flight entertainment is helping with the when and also the seductive techs that our inflight stewardess loulou has told us about!
GTR also will keep us updated - Thanks

GTR2882 · 29/09/2011 05:40

Right I give up!! My place is firmly booked on this plane!! Temps have dropped, test was BFN (I am testing no more) and I am generally feeling miserable (it will be short lived)

Looking at my chart, I'm not even sure I'm ov-ing - if I take out the two very high temps I had on Saturday & Sunday then FF removes my coverline (Saturday's test was not taken at my normal time and Sundays temp was after my mammoth bike ride) I don't know whether to disregard those!! Bloody stupid body!!

Right I am going to wait for the hag, make an appointment for the docs to get checked out and try harder next month Grin

iloveberries · 29/09/2011 09:23

oh GTR i am sorry - it is gutting isn't it :(
How long have you been trying (if you don't mind me asking) You've said you are getting th3e other signs of ov though so just wondering why you think you're not? Have a big glass of wine tonight - its the one consolation!! thinking of you xx

GTR2882 · 29/09/2011 09:53

Thanks berries Flowers - yes very, but I suppose i just have to get used to seeing those BFNs!! It won't always be like this.....right!?!

This next cycle will be number 5, so not really that long but still long enough to be getting completely fed up with it all!!

With regards ov, i have never had a positive OPK (had almost positives), my CM remains creamy (and has been all cycle, although I have heard of women getting pg without seeing fertile cm, so not really too concerned with that) -i think i will try to determine ov from my cervix and will start checking it at the same time every day (possibly in the evening when i get in from work). My temps though, well they are just making me angry - and not really reliable for charting fertile periods, only for when it's all over!!

My cycles are ridiculously long as well (on CD49 today.....sigh).

Will definitely be indulging in some wine Wine, some chocolate, and anything else that is a bit naughty tonight!! It is payday after all Grin

Will update stats and see what's what!!

GTR2882 · 29/09/2011 09:54

Ah, berries i meant to give you these Thanks not just the word flowers!!! Blush

GTR2882 · 29/09/2011 09:58

Right you lovely lot, I am adding myself to the list!!

BFP only First Class upgrades
Awaiting passengers

Necking a complimentary G&T and Waiting to POAS
Waiting to update for passengers due AF in the next week or so

Joining the mile high club for lots of SWI
GTR2882 (29) ttc #1 AF due 9th October but let's face it, she could turn up tomorrow - who knows!! Either way, it's not fun waiting!! Cycles are horrendously long (at least 57 days!)
blonderedhead (35) ttc #1 AF due 18th October or possibly whenever Auntie bloody feels like it.
Loulou, 27, TTC#1, AF due (19 October - but unsure of cycles so maybe later) - trying to resist a big slug bottle of red wine every night
Bluetinkerbell (28) ttc #3, AF due possibly 31 October, also depending on cycle length
iloveberries, 31, TTC #2, AF due 21/10 or 24/10 (I have 31/34 day cycle since coming off pill)

louloubellamozzarella · 29/09/2011 10:19

Oh :( I just wrote a long message then it disappeared!

Anyways, GTR, I'm angry at your ovaries for you, hope they pull themselves together soon!! Docs is the way to go I think - get yourself checked out for your peace of mind. Remember to push for appointments and tests and stuff asap and don't let them fob you off!

Enjoy your Wine this weekend anyway... I know I will. Woohoo my payday is tomorrow. It's gonna be a lovely weekend too :)

GTR2882 · 29/09/2011 10:25

Yey loulou and here are some Thanks for you as well!! I dont know how I would cope without you all

No come on ovaries, play the bloody game and produce that lovely eggy

louloubellamozzarella · 29/09/2011 10:34

Oh and have I mentioned acupuncture...?! Haha just looked through the thread yesterday and saw that I've bought it up about three times!

Like these Thanks

It's good to have a virtual shoulder to cry on :)

GTR2882 · 29/09/2011 10:47

New TTC mantra for me - i am going to just see what happens (will still monitor ov etc,) but going to try and relax and SWI every other day throughout cycle (more around the time of ov) and if it happens, then it happens!!

I will obviously become a neurotic loon when it comes to testing, but for now I am going with that Grin

louloubellamozzarella · 29/09/2011 11:01

Yes exactly the same for me. Lots of SWI every other day. I'm also going to make sure I look after myself - early nights, good food, occasional glasses of wine and seeing friends. Oh and obviously still coming on here to obsess a little bit (but will try to keep the moaning down to minimum levels!)

GTR2882 · 29/09/2011 11:10

Oh I hear you LouLou - i think I have moaned far too much so only positive thoughts regardless of what my ovaries think and yes, definitely with you on the looking after ourselves - most important!!

I am going to write off the rest of this cycle for SWI and start afresh once the hag has been and gone!!

Viva la TTC!!!

iloveberries · 29/09/2011 11:28

you could still SWI just for fun GTR! - Try not to make it seem like a chore. I had to have a word with myself the other day as i really fancied some bedroom action with DH but it was only day 6 so my first reaction was "what's the point?" Then i realised of course SWI is supposed to be fun, even if it's not gonna result in conception.... just go with it.... aparently the libido is supposed to go up when you're ovving too!

Think your plans of having fun with friends, the odd drinks and taking care of yourself is good.

It will happen girls, we just got to keep on believing! (oh, and bonking!)

louloubellamozzarella · 29/09/2011 14:40

berries I caught myself doing that a couple of weeks ago - not good at all.

I'm wishing away the last couple of hours this afternoon so I can get out in this lovely sunshine!!

GTR2882 · 29/09/2011 15:38

Ha ha loulou and berries - i do exactly the same thing, it's so funny! I think I have actually told DH that "we've done all we can this month, so will let you know when you'll next be called into action" - it's really bad!! Plus, when we actually get round to doing it, there is no seduction, no romance, and certainly no foreplay. It's simply a case of using my pre-seed, waiting 15 minutes and getting down to business!!! Grin

With you on the sunshine - i have 50 mins until i leave the office and another hour after that until i get home!!

Mama5isalive · 29/09/2011 17:57

Hi ladies!
