Hey GTR - ewcm does just look a hell of a lot like egg white. It's clear and slippery and stretchy, and, would you believe -lots of women seem to enjoy posting their pics of it on the internet!!!!

Well, taking my temps orally definitely is a no go for me. This morning I got the temp of someone with mild hypothermia! [hshock]

As you well know, GTR the absence of EWCM means nothing; and if you're using pre-seed all the better! In the days before pre-seed; it was suggested you use actual egg whites as a lubricant during your fertile times - how mad is that?!! [hgrin]

I don't know how you do all the waiting GTR; I feel like I'm going slighly bonkers not knowing exactly what's going on with my cycle, and I've hardly waited at all compared to you. Putting ff on different settings, I'm either 10 dpo; 6 dpo or I haven't ovulated at all!!! [hconfused]

Hello all . Couldn't bring myself to click on the ewcm link - eeewww. Don't even check my own cm although a few cycles down the road I may give it a go.

I'm obsessed with symptom spotting at the moment. I reckon I'm 10 or 11 dpo. Got very tender boobs although I had that last month so can't put too much weight on that as a Sign. The other one is that since Thursday I haven't slept a wink. I'm well overtired but spent the last three nights tossing and turning. Probably just coz I've got a lot going on at the moment and a very busy week ahead, but do you think insomnia could be a pg symptom? Haven't got any pg sticks so gotta buy some this week.

Hurrah, I had the temperature shift this morning at last. No boozing last night so I'm pretty certain that I've ovulated at last. Still only gives me 8/9 days to AF so a pretty short luteal phase. Fingers crossed anyway.

Question: do you ladies give up the booze in the 2WW? I don't drink much - probably five units in a weekend but I am loathe to give up until I know I'm pregnant. Is that wrong?

Loulou I agree that I probably do need to chill out a bit and let nature take its course. It's hard though when you are a pessimist + control freak [hblush].

Dee when I was ttc#1 I pretty much gave up. Then after 6 months got p*ssed off that hadn't fell pg and was told by doc it was unlikely that I could. I went away for a romantic but also a bit of a boozy weekend, had an operation under general anaesthtic, several lots of local anaesthetic then a boozy christmas with loads of blue cheese, I was a week late when I tested and got my BFP!! DS is perfect in eery way. Abstaining only makes me feel under even more pressure to get pg and stresses me more.

Dee congrats on ov'ing- I'm pretty sure I haven't even done that yet and 8-10 days left to AF...

Well cd18, of a usually 25-27 day. I have cycle have SWI every day from 9-17. Can I stop now? we are both bored now and need a break!! Last night we dtd (after Downton Abbey of course) and were laughing about how much we just wanted to go to sleep!! Pretty sure I still haven't ov'd though- I poaos on a few days and nothing- 2 days I had a faint line around cd 13 but that's it, and no EWCM. Infact no Cm of any interest!! But I'm already feeling my early AF symptoms...

Dee also wanted to add though, I have largely gone decaff all month.

Also on cd18 although slightly longer cycle and have also been SWI every day (if not more ) I fell asleep ridiculously early in front of the telly last night and am still a walking zombie today. nearly I've never had a positive on a o stick and I've got pg 3 times while using them, so I don't think they're an exact science! (That's the trouble, isn't it? None of this lark is; and that's a problem if you're a control freak like me! )

Aarrghh! I had assumed I'd ov'd by cd18 but I've suddenly got loads of CM after having virtually none all month. Not exactly EWCM but it's like there is some of that mixed in (TMI, sorry). I know I won't dare leave it to yesterday morning's SWI so am now going to have to summon some energy and enthusiasm from somewhere tonight.

I think with it suddenly feeling like winter, my body is going into hibernation mode. Maybe if I stuff my face with chocolate all day, it'll help keep me awake...
