Evening everyone, and welcome new recruits. Sorry to hear you've fallen off the June bus rusulka. Well I was expecting ov sometime next week, after late period last month. But, have realised my cycle has gone back to previous month and I am due to ov, have been checking cm! so, am on the case tonight. What does SWI mean, btw, feel I should put that, but then might be saying something I don't mean.

Hope all your weekends went well, ours was muddy walks and collecting conkers.

GTR2882 · 09/10/2011 19:30

SWI = Shagging With Intent!!! Hope you catch that eggy!!

BustAMove · 09/10/2011 20:35

Ok, that's what I'll be doing then. Just informed DH, but he seemed slightly pained. Thinking he was hoping for a quiet night! Hope AF still away GTR

GTR2882 · 09/10/2011 20:46

Yeah no sign of her at all busta and still some mild cramping and creamy cm!! Hope your DH comes round to your way of thinking!! Grin

louloubellamozzarella · 09/10/2011 21:29

Hi ladies, hope you all had good weekends. Mine was lurvely - full of food and wine (and xfactor of course).

We managed SWI on my return today - will continue for the next few days as think I've only just ovd if at all yet - no twinges this month and ov sticks are being no help. Then the 2WW commences!! The ov calendar on here says to expect AF from the 19th which is just over a week - but who knows when the official date is.

GTR, if AF doesn't show tomorrow or next couple of days, will you be a-testing? Grin

Hi Rusulka - as festie said we are having fun on this flight - and like the May bus, there's copious TMI and rudeness here so make yourself at home :)

Mama5isalive · 09/10/2011 21:57

oh hag you got Rusulka - NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! ( dont worry you'll not get her good and proper on your next cycle, youll show her!)
well GTR as hag has not come yet lets just stay positive, she will not get u!!!!
Festie - sounds like you had good fun!
Busta - get your Swi on!!!!!! and everyone else who is at that important stage!
well i have finished ov-ing no more pains so i def know it was Friday and Saturday! but was so knackered that never got in there last nite so i hope i have done enough, will try seduce DH tonite for one last big SWEi! (shag with extreme intent) will it make a difference though??
im tired.com and will have to muster my energy!!!!

  • AF stay away from GTR, im warning you, dont mess with her or i will have to kick your butt this month!!!!!!! Angry

festiemum · 09/10/2011 22:21

Blimey, if I was GTR's AF I'd be staying well away, Mama!!

Glad your weekend was good Loulou and you caught some SWI. Good to see the POAS enabling continues too!! Wink

Hope you muster up the energy to have one last crack at it Mama. I like SWEI - it means business!!

Oh Busta your poor DH - I do feel a bit sorry for them (but only a bit!)

I think we've probably done all we can this month, though we do have a LBP left so we could do have another go tomorrow night just to seal the deal!

Had a weird experience last night. Went to the local pub, where we were served by a friend of DH's ex who's very friendly, and she said "I hear congratulations are in order; when are you due?" To which I obs said I wasn't pregnant. But I thought on; when I had the chemical, DSD knew I was pg and told her Mum who then probably shared the gossip with her friend, but then failed to update the friend when DH told her that I'd had the chemical and was no longer pg!!

Hope she doesn't feel too bad when she goes back to DH's ex and finds out! I'd be devastated that I'd really put my foot in it, but she really didn't!

If When I do get pg, I'm keeping it quiet till I'm sure it's stuck this time!!

GTR2882 · 10/10/2011 06:42

Good morning all!! It's a little on the chilly/windy side today!! Brrr Grin

Glad to see good weekends were had by everyone and that time for SWI was found and achieved!! Stick little eggies, stick :)

Hag whore still not here, POAS this morning with FMU and BFN! Doctors tomorrow so hopefully will finally get some answers!! Have a horrible feeling that the pill has still got something to do with it - after 4 years without AF or pill break my body might be a bit confused and still thinks I'm taking it! Not sure how long it takes to completely leave your system!!

I really would welcome AF right now as being on CD59 is not fun :(

festie hope she didn't cause too much upset for you!! I think you are right to keep quiet though, it's stressful enough without having other people asking all the time!!

I was at home this weekend and left my thermometer! Will have to be prepared for 20 questions from my mum when she calls!! Bloody typical that I slept like a log last night but no way to take my temp. Ack well, was stressing me out anyway!! :)

iloveberries · 10/10/2011 07:01

hey all! my weekend was much the same a LouLou's..... enjoyed it lots!

EWCM yesterday and stomach pains fri and sat so DTD yesterday and will pounce DH tonight i think.

Off to the US this evening to visit DH's brother who lives out there so won't be on MN for some time. I hope to come back to read of lots of BFPs. I feel that this month won't be ours but feel more relaxed about that than i thought i would.

GTR good luck at the doctors. hope it goes well. I was on pill for 13 yrs and it didn't cause any trouble so don't worry too much if that's possible.

festie good luck! hope you weren't too upset by the false congratulations....

To all you others, enjoy the flight and i'll see you back here soon x

louloubellamozzarella · 10/10/2011 09:00

Oh berries that sounds fun, have a great trip and yes, when you're back there will be lots of POAS announcements to look forward to. I can't imagine ever getting anything other than a BFN, but who knows..Confused

GTR; CD 59 - your AF/BFP really needs to hurry up and arrive like now!! At least you have the doc's tomorrow to help you out though.

festie, wow news travels far, hey... I can imagine it's so hard not to tell people good news though. I have enough trouble keeping my mouth shut just about TTC. Was away with a few of my best friends this weekend and after a couple of glasses of wine nearly blabbed, esp as a few of them were chatting about starting TTC next year. But wisely managed to keep schutum. As much as I want to be open with friends, I just think that questions about whether we've been successful yet would do my head in - too much pressure! Just hoping we can surprise everyone v soon with some good news or I might go crazy!

Glad to hear we've all been working hard on that SWI this weekend - tis a big effort all this baby making (and POAS-enabling Wink)

festiemum · 10/10/2011 09:38

It's difficult, isn't it? It's not even as if we announced it far and wide. All that happened was that DH's DD was staying with us when I did the pg test and saw that I got a BFP, but then she tells her Mum, who tells a friend etc.... She's only 10; she wouldn't know not to spread the news (mind you, her Mum probably should have known better!)

Oh GTR - I'm sorry your cycle is still pissing you about. You were cramping though weren't you, so something must be happening! How many DPO did you think you were? Could cramping be implantation? Sorry, my blinding optimism is sometimes a bit much!

Wow berries, have a FAB time!! Hopefully it might make the 2ww go a bit quicker?!

I'm not sure what's going on with me. I should have ovulated this weekend. All the signs pointed that way, but this morning my temp is resolutely low, and though my cervix has become low and firm, I still have ewcm. The trouble is, with all the SWI-ing we've been doing, it could be sperm, couldn't it? Hmm, might have to SWI tonight just in case. We're running out of LBPs though, we've got to make it count!!

Hope you all have a lovely day, despite the grotty autumnal weather! :)

GTR2882 · 10/10/2011 09:51

I think i am losing it - having left my thermometor at my mums this weekend I was resigned to not temp; i have just bought another one from amazon!! God help me.

festie I have still got the cramps and felt really ill last night. Am headachey and a little nauseous at the moment, but I am tired so could be something to do with that. Well i thought I had O'd last Saturday, so reckon I am about 9dpo or possibly 11dpo (depending if i did actually ov) and I think I may only have a 10 day LP!! I love your optimism, it makes me feel positive and still gives me hope :)

festiemum · 10/10/2011 10:01

So it could be implantation cramps, and therefore too early to get a BFP! Even if your luteal phase is 10 days and your period is due, you still wouldn't get a BFP till your body was producing enough HCG?

Hmm, Confused glad you're seeing the Doc tomorrow, hopefully you can get some answers! :)

Maisie55 · 10/10/2011 11:55

Hi all, thanks for adding me to the stats, I too enjoyed a lovely weekend full of X factor and conkers!

GTR - what a long cycle nightmare! have everything crossed that its going to be good news for you soon!

Mission EOD starts tonight which I'm sure will cheer up DH! Pretty sure DS has hand, foot and mouth! of all things - am taking him to doc's this afternoon so we shall see.

Just wanted to check what 2ww means? I'm thinking something like 2 week wait??!

What do you all do about caffeine while TTC? when I was pregnant with DS I cut it right back to one cup a day but wasn't sure if it affects TTC as well - anyone know?

Right back to RL and housework! or maybe Biscuit and Brew

GTR2882 · 10/10/2011 12:01

Biscuit and Brew sounds much better than housework Grin i'd do that!!

2ww does indeed mean 2 week wait!!

With regards caffeine, I have been limiting myself to 2 cups of coffee a day, no coke or chocolate though because that can push it up as well (I never knew that about chocolate though).

Oh no, poor DS (and poor you as well) - hope all goes well at the docs for you this afternoon :)

iloveberries · 10/10/2011 13:12

you can buy caffeine free coke - it's my saviour!!

GTR2882 · 10/10/2011 13:47

Indeed you can berries i prefer Fanta though :) just a personal preference though. I once overheard someone in Tesco's asking why anyone would ever want to by caffeine free coke and I turned to DH and said, ooh lets see, those people who like coke and maybe allergic to caffeine or possible pg!!! Some people are idiots!!! Grrr! Sorry for the rant - don't know what came over me.

Still cramping over here Grin

louloubellamozzarella · 10/10/2011 13:59

Hmm must look into caffeine free coke - can you get it in diet though? I know the aspartame is awful for you but I don't like normal coke as it makes my teeth feel icky.

I feel a bit crampy over this way too GTR - def not AF crampy but maybe ov crampy - hm. Beginning to think that I might just ov late in my cycle as I ovd a week later than expected last month if the ov sticks were anything to go by. But AF arrived two days earlier than expected too.

So does this mean I have a short luteal phase then?! Am I right in thinking that the time between AF and ov can vary but your luteal phase is fixed? Anyone know why that is? I know google is here but just wondering what everyone's experiences have been :)

GTR2882 · 10/10/2011 14:11

loulou i think you are right once you have finished with the witch it's a guessing game of when ov will take place, suppose it just depends on when that eggy decides to hatch. But once you have ov'd, the time between ov and AF is fixed, so if you have a 12 day LP then you will have a vist from the witch on day 12 - if you get AF later or earlier it means that you ov'd later or earlier - LP is fixed and cannot change (as i read on one forum, where someone was convince that they used to have a 14 day LP but it was only 12 days last time) - so if your AF arrived two days earlier last cycle, this means that you ov'd 2 days earlier that you thought :) marvellous creatures aren't we!! If TTC was not hard enough, you have to throw this into the mix as well because ov is not a static event! Great!! Grin I think your LP is fixed because it's the time your body takes to break everything down (something to do with progesterone, maybe?!?!) :)

louloubellamozzarella · 10/10/2011 14:30
GTR2882 · 10/10/2011 14:39

I am with you in the not knowing

iloveberries · 10/10/2011 14:41

yep loulou caffeine free diet coke sits next to the regular diet coke and coke on the supermarket shelf - in a gold can.... tastes the same as diet i think.

Interesting chat about LPs.... I was convinced mine was 14 days and is now 9 but i guess not??

wow i'm gonna miss you guys when i'm in the US ofA......

Maisie55 · 10/10/2011 17:30

Well it was hand, foot and mouth as suspected, poor boy - although to be honest he's pretty ok in himself just quite spotty. It means we can't see other children til all spots have gone, think we will go slowly mad over the next week or so! fingers crossed it doesn't rain so we can at least still get out of the house!

Hmmm thinking maybe I should cut down on the caffeine a bit then - am a bit addicted to tea I think but will switch to decaf for some of the day I think. Don't think I can face reducing the chocolate intake but I don't drink coke so thats one good thing!

BustAMove · 10/10/2011 18:13

I have one coffee in morn, really savour that! then no more all day. Don't drink coke, and not that bothered about chocolate (she says having just eaten a whispa in one mouthful).

GTR2882 · 10/10/2011 18:55

Oh Maisie - hope he feel better soon and that this awful weather comes to an end so that you can get out and about (it's to be an awful week where I live, so hoping you get better luck).

As i had POAS this morning, and yes this is incredibly naughty and I am not even sure why i am asking, but this is what TTC does to you, I had not gotten rid of the stick as I was up early and trying to get ready, have a coffee, make sure I had everything (i normally leave something that i need at home, like my pass to get in the office) and get out the house so that i did not miss my train!! Anyway, i came home tonight, and i know you should not check after 10mins, so please don't shout at me for 11 hours :) but there is a definite, not so faint pinkish line there!! I know, I know, it's more than likely an evap and i should disregard it and throw it away, but these are desperate times, and as AF is a no show, maybe.......just maybe it's a possibility. I was a bit bleary eyed this morning and i did think at first that something was materialising but then got distracted.......

Ok, I'm off to chastise myself heavily for typing that Grin i swear, I am getting crazier by the second!!!!
