Hi GTR - well i was on a 28 day cycle but my last AF decided to hold out for 2 more days bringing me to the fair number of 31 days so Ermmm not 100% sure of when will be the best time but as i said dont think im due to start SWi just yet but gearing myself up full speed ahead! its not great timing mid moving home to do this but if a job has to be done! and im all for multi tasking! but no pressure!

Well what I thought was af is extremely light, and I had this with my last preg. It's too early for cb just yet, i am due af on weds, will test again tomorow with fmu.

Mama5, hmmmmm, if you normally have a 28 day cycle, I would think that you would be fast approaching the fertile portion. How's your CM looking (if you don't mind me asking! At CD10 i would think that you should def start gearing up to get a lot of SWI in because even with a 31 day cycle now would still be around the time that the old watery and EWCM would make an appearance!!!!! Yeah the timing does suck but hey, TTC was never going to be easy Do you temp (sorry if i have already asked and you have already answered, brain has not been with it at all today!)? If so do you know what your usual LP is from last cycle? You might have just ov'd late last time hence why it was 31 days - if you know your LP, you can count backwards and work out from there (so basically count 28 days, then count back from the 28th the number of days in your LP and that should give you a rough idea of ov!!) Then from that I would allow say 4 days before ov and say 5 days after (just in case you ov late again!) Does any of that make sense ??

well I've been peeing on ov-sticks for the last week or so, still no sign of ovulation. Currently on CD17. We've been on a one day on, one day off routine
This just has to be my month... my precious little girl's due date was supposed to be in a month's time, so I would like to get a BFP before that! Surely that's not too much to ask is it?

tinkerbell sending hugs. I am glad to see you are on operation EOD as well! I am hoping that (and a relaxed attitude) can bring us all BFPs. The ov sticks can be misleading i think, although i haven't really persevered with them so keep going! Hoping you do get your BFP before your precious girl's due date...

Morning all!! Well 3dpo and significant temp drop; am wondering if it could be a fallback rise! I really hope so, otherwise i am starting to think i may just be having an anovulatory cycle! I know the only way to know for sure is by waiting to see if it goes back up tomorrow!! CM is creamy and quite abundant and cervix is medium, soft(ish) and kind of closed! Took an OPK last night and it is definitely negative!!! Surprisingly though I am feeling really good and not bothered by this at all!!! Weird!!

Well, I have trapped a nerve in my neck, and it really hurts (trying not to blame last night's SWI), so this month I am going to be a very inactive participant in operation get festie upduffed (nearly GUFFED - ha ha!). Good news though, after an experiment last night, we have discovered that half a Viagra makes DH rise to the occasion perfectly well, so the pills will go further and the shags will be cheaper!!! :o :o :o

GTR glad you're feeling relaxed about it all. I don't do any internal self checking (leave the poking to DH!!!)so not sure what you say about the cervix position! But i think it's good that you're relaxing and feeling positive :)

Nice to have GTR's daily cervical update but yeah.. I still don't get the signs really! Could you do a bulleted summary for the simple ones amongst us (ie moi) - like what soft-high-low etc means?! Would be v grateful

Nothing to report from me really, just in SWI time. Trying to be good this week and get plenty of sleep and SWI of course. Thing might need to do a few every-days this week as am away on a girly weekend for a couple of nights over ov time (approx but not definite). Sooo looking forward to a weekend of food, drink (not too much of course!) and relaxation, hope it will take my mind off TTC completely for a few days.

I have no tips to share, we just SWI'd every day for about a week this month and it's obviously worked. I think what probably did it was the law of sod-I had said that it wouldnt matter if I didnt catch this month as I already have 3 birthdays in June in the family and probably didnt need another! And I also bought some ov tests on ebay 2 days ago.

But I do expect you all to be joining me on the preggo aircraft real soon

Right here goes:

• Low, Firm, Closed = not fertile, AF prob around the corner (or may have just been)
• High, Soft, Open = fertile, ov is just around the corner, get SWIing
• Soft, High, Open, Wet (SHOW) = ov day, defiitely get some SWI action going

They are basically the bread and butter of CP charting, however, there are variations, for example you could have the following:

• Medium, Medium, Medium = you may just have ov'd so still in the fertile window or you may gearing up to ov but just not quite fertile yet.
• Medium, Firm, Open = not fertile, prob after ov and before AF
• Medium, Soft, Open = almost fertile or just after ov
• Low, Firm, Closed = most likely during AF or the day before AF is due - once the cervix moves into this position you can almost be certain that the witch is on her way.

There are so many variations and if pg, the cervix should rise high and remain closed, however the timing of this rise does vary from woman to woman, some have a rise quite early in the 2ww while others have a rise well after pg has been confirmed (8-12 weeks in some cases)

CP should only really be used to determine ov and the fertile window, outside of this it is not really a reliable form of charting :)
