New thread ladies, pull up a pew.

OP posts:
PopcornMouse · 30/09/2011 14:39

Ha ha ha Far that's a well-kept secret :o

I have put some dessicated coconut in them and nobody will ever know...

GenericDietCola · 30/09/2011 15:04

I have spent 20 min reading old threads on implantation bleeding and changed my mind approximately 58 times from 'oh that's just what I've had therefore I must be pregnant' to 'no, mine wasn't like that I'm stupid for even thinking I may be pregnant'

Anyhoo, only time will tell. And believe me the wait is just as hard for me!

Popcorn love the deception!

BabySade · 30/09/2011 15:39

Imps sore boobies = preggo. That is fact Grin

Right I'll stop using my emoticons. If anyones interested I sent you all flowers & ice creams!

This weather is crazy, I'm loving it. If only I had a bikini emoticon.....

I'm daring AF to show her face, I've just bought a jumbo box of tampons.

This could be the worst possible time for me to be upduffed as I've just found out I need to submit a 3,500 word essay at the end of April when I will be heavily pregnant. Where is my ironic BFP?!

Generic I'm dying over here, not only am I waiting for my own BFP now I might have to wait till Monday for yours. It's too much Grin

BabySade · 30/09/2011 15:40

Oh and welcome to day 1 of your pregnancy Little sounds like acupuncture is really helping with your cycle Smile

PopcornMouse · 30/09/2011 15:51

Baby, 3500 essay + due date = definite ironic BFP on its way. Fact.

GenericDietCola · 30/09/2011 16:10

OK, I've checked with the 8 ball:

'Will Imps, BabySade and GenericDietCola get a BFP this weekend?' and it said 'It is decidedly so'

www.magic8.co.uk/index.php

Definitive proof.

PopcornMouse · 30/09/2011 16:24

Love it ;)

farfallarocks · 30/09/2011 16:28

OMG I love that game, 'Will I have a baby soon' = You can rely on it

yay (note baby cos BFPs are no blardy use to me)

Have a great weekend all.

GenericDietCola · 30/09/2011 16:43

Like it Farfalla - why didn't I think of that?

Signing off now, see you Monday.

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 30/09/2011 17:02

Hey Imps, Generic & Baby - I'm in your testing posse too, but a bit scared to do it! Have been enjoying the best tww I can remember, on holiday in Spain (though could've just stayed at home with these mad temps!) I have also been drinking a lot of beer & wine, and eating truckloads of cured ham Grin

AF was due a few days ago but hasn't showed up, absolutely no symptoms of anything whatsoever - similar to last time. As this is only my 1st proper cycle following the mc, I don't know if it's snapped back to the normal cycle length Confused
Anyway, I'm scared to test as I just know I'll get all anxious about mc again...

Really hope we have a full haul of bfps in the next few days! Grin

BabySade · 30/09/2011 17:27

Well if the magic 8 ball says so, who are we to argue? Grin

Late I am brooking so hard for you, the magic 8 ball said absolutely when I asked about your baby Smile

Biscuitsandtea · 30/09/2011 18:31

Oooh, Late - I'm brooking for you! You know when you do get your bfp this weekend, there's a lovely home for the freaking out of the early weeks after a miscarriage - the Freak Out Room is here and particularly helpful. I found it the perfect thing to accompany my brooking :)

Now, I should know this but I can't remember - when you say first cycle after the m/c, have you had your wtf cycle? (iykwim?) The very first AF after the m/c can be all over the place and can be much longer than your normal cycle? I don't mean that to sound like you don't know what you're doing (you know that right? [earnest emoticon]

Anyway, all irrelevant - you're so blatantly preggers. Can't wait for your confirmation :)

Biscuitsandtea · 30/09/2011 18:32

NB I'm brooking for the other testers this weekend too in equal measures!

ScrambledSmegs · 30/09/2011 19:02

Right, have been shopping and have bought vitamin B6 (50mg). Won't take it yet as I am clearly expecting a positive pee-stick (PPP) sometime next week. However, in the huuuuuugely unlikely event that the PPP doesn't happen, at least I have another weapon in my arsenal. However, the warning on the box about numbness or tingling is a tad worrying... should I not take it for very long then? DO you do two weeks on/ two off like echinacea?

Haha! Love the Magic8 Ball.

"Am I a badger?"
"Better not tell you now"

ScrambledSmegs · 30/09/2011 19:04

PS Don't know why, but BFP just didn't seem to cut it in that post. I suspect I've caught the sun a bit today, would explain why I just tried to put my cup of tea in the fridge after I'd made it.

TheLittleFriend · 30/09/2011 19:18

Scrambled I've read that you would need to be taking 100mg plus to experience any side affects like tingling. I take the 50mg everyday and have not experienced anything like that, hth.

Generic I can't believe we won't hear how you get on til after the weekend! Good luck!

Just wanted to tell those of you that worry about short luteal phase & are considering acupuncture something interesting from my appointment today. The acupuncturist noticed I had bruises from some of the needles last week, particularly ones by my knees that are linked to the liver. In Chinese medicine, the bruising represents heat being released from the blood. And the liver is directly linked to the blood. And excessive heat in the blood is linked to a short luteal phase!! It felt good to know it might have done something to help already! (hope you could understand my ramblings)

Imps7 · 30/09/2011 19:50

Hoooray I love the Magic8 ball! Maybe we need to pee on that instead of a stick !

Late hellllooooooooooooooooooooo!! Or should I say "...... < suddenly realises she doesn't know the Spanish for hello Blush> ... erm "paella!" Very pleased to hear about the lack of AF - this is very exciting news! Bring on the rush of BFPs!!!!

Scrambled - love that the sun has made you put PPP as the acronym for Positive Pee Stick!!

Beautiful evening, if only it was still staying light until 10pm!

Biscuitsandtea · 30/09/2011 19:53

Ola!

Solars · 30/09/2011 21:46

Oh my, I'm quietly excited for all you girls Late, Baby, Generic and Imps can't wait to hear about your BFPs, everything crossed for you - you girls show those pee stick we mean business

Thanks for thinking of me ladies, sorry it's a late post, well we had out gynae appointment this afternoon and the good news is, all was clear on the HSG. Consultant has now put it down to unexplained infertility as both mine & DH's results are normal. He has recommended that I now go on Clomid for 3 months, even though there is no issue about me ovulating but he cited that it may give us a better chance (more eggs produced etc). The biggest issue we face is that if clomid doesn't help, then because of my age (39!), I would be ineligible for IVF on the NHS as you would need to have finished IVF before you are 40! We are running out of time...

Have to admit i'm feeling just a little sad about it all as I feel like I've left it all too late, I may have a little weep about it all tonight but I'll be back tomorrow shaking those pom poms and exuding positivity, promise :)

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 30/09/2011 21:57

Ola amigos Grin

Thanks Biscuits, lovely post - tbh I'm not sure how I'm going to feel if I do get a bfp - or even if I don't for that matter (yeah, like THAT'S going to happen! Pah!)

I had the WTF cycle which was mercifully short compared to a lot of people (30 days) and I tested + on my opk right when I should have done this cycle, so I think it all may have gone back quite easily....

Imps, you bally well deserve to be updiffed this cycle, I shall be writing a stiff letter if that pee-stick does not give the right result Wink

Biscuitsandtea · 30/09/2011 22:04

Autocorrect tried to change hug to jug, so you can have a jug too if you'd like?

It's so emotional isn't it, and I always felt a bit deflated after our fertility clinic appts. It's not exactly that I expected to leave the room pregnant but, you know.....

We were prescribed clomid too although I had no issues ovulating. Our consultant chap said that it has apparently been shown to improve chances in people like us (ie with no identified problem).

(we never took the clomid though as that was when I got my ironic bfp, not that that probably helps Blush) How long is it since your HSG?

Fingers crossed the clomid does the trick for you. Are they monitoring it or anything? They just sent me away with mine (I assume because they didn't need to make me ovulate?) and that was us discharged from the NHS care (we didn't qualify for NHS ivf because we already had ds).

Anyway, have another squeezy hug - try and chill out a bit this evening

Mwah mwah xx

Biscuitsandtea · 30/09/2011 22:06

Oooh Late you've made my week, no year, just for using the term 'Bally well' Grin

Much underused that one - I shall endeavour to drop into conversation at least once a day henceforth I think Grin

Biscuitsandtea · 30/09/2011 22:08
NinjaChipmunk · 01/10/2011 01:45

solars I just wanted to say I have a friend with unexplained infertility who had her first baby at 37 by ivf. Her second was conceived naturally and she was 40 when she had him. So don't give up hope, it is perfectly possible that you will conceive naturally. Besides with all the positivity on here you can't fail! Would they consider iui?

BabySade · 01/10/2011 06:23

Solars lots of hugs for you this morning. I'm so glad the results where ok overall. I'm sure we all know people who have gone on to have babies naturally at a later age ( i feel rude saying that as 39 is not old, but cant think of a better way to word it at this time in the morning!) In fact one of DH sisters had her first baby at age 39 after trying for 3 years (she was on clomid with no ovulation problems) & has now got 2 DC at age 43. I just wanted to tell you a story with a positive outcome. I personally think it's ridiculous that the NHS have age cut offs, I think each case should be considered individually.

It WILL HAPPEN for you and DH. Your womb is wonderful darling Grin & we are all brooking for you.

Right I'm posting so early cos I needed the loo & couldn't waste FMU. I PIAR & it's a BFN, still no AF & period pain comes & goes. My only symptoms are being constantly hot and my spots are now so out of control that I'm scared to leave the house in case I get picked on by random teenagers Grin
