New thread ladies, pull up a pew.

farfalla, I wouldn't be able to help going with my FR and at least asking for their knowledge and advice... Such a hard time. I'm thinking of you

muscial, sounds pretty good, at least the gynae was positive. My friend had a scan at 6 weeks and they said it wasn't hopeful, she had another at 7, and they said not hopeful, and confirmed her mc at 8 weeks with a final scan (she has had 3 in a row now so is under investigation, thats why she's scanned so early). I don''t think they give you false hope, so I'm thinking it's good news. Will wait to hear your HCG result

PopcornMouse · 20/09/2011 14:06

Bye maybe. Like littlefriend says, I'm sure you can't have come to this decision lightly, so I'm sure you're doing the right thing. Good luck, you'll be missed!

Hello everyone

music sorry things are still so uncertain, so hard at this early stage but am sure everything will be fine!

No new activity to report here! GP was great on the phone and said she will refer for initial tests anyway evern though its only been twice.

Will go to EPU tomorrow if no update!

musicalmrs · 20/09/2011 17:50

Great to hear you have such a wonderful GP farfalla. Hope the EPU are helpful if you do end up going!

Results are in - hCG was at 17k on Sat evening, up to 30k today - very pleased. It is a tad on the high side though..! Anyway, feeling much happier now! Bet the next two weeks pass incredibly slowly mind...

NinjaChipmunk · 20/09/2011 17:55

oh maybe you will be missed. Please do pop in from time to time if you can, and best of luck for when you do decide to try again.

farfalla and musical fingers still crossed for you both.

Well fanny cam was uncomfortable but not too bad but the hsg? Lets just say it took 6 goes and every type of instrument to eventually get the dye in and the Dr said it was 'a challenge!' I now await my date for a follow up appointment. Will give them a ring next week if I haven't heard. Am feeling fine now, but bleeding a little bit. The good thing was when she finally got the dye in she thought it all looked ok. I do wonder if the difficulty in getting the dye in would also mean a difficulty in getting the sperm in?? Answers on a postcard please.
Now to await AF in about 8 days time or so and then onto brooking no argument whatsoever (mainly cos I don't think I'm eligible for any more tests without paying!).

NinjaChipmunk · 20/09/2011 17:56

glad to hear that musical

farfallarocks · 20/09/2011 17:58

maybe sorry I missed your last post, sending you huge hugs and I hope you are ok with that decision. Nothing is forever, remember that, this too will pass.

Excellent news music, twins nestling in perhaps?

CakePigeon · 20/09/2011 17:58

glad something positive is happening farfalla and that your GP has helped you.

Great to hear your news musical you must be feeling much calmer now!

yes, no symptoms = a symptom .. probably Hmm possibly not the most convincing symptom ever but you never know! last month I had every symptom in the book and a BFN to go with it. I have, however, also had months with no symptoms whatsoever and also a BFN so I think my body just plays tricks on me for a laugh..

farfallarocks · 20/09/2011 17:58

ninja great that they could not see anything immediately wrong, hurrah!

Look after yourself tonight

CakePigeon · 20/09/2011 18:02

damn work pc, I managed to miss loads of posts!

so sorry to hear you are leaving us maybe I know that there is never a right time but I agree that some times are also better than others so I hope there is a better time around the corner for you.

glad it wasn't too painful ninja I think maybe it is easier to get sperm in when you are ovulating as your cervix is in a different position around that time... apparently.

Biscuitsandtea · 20/09/2011 18:02

Farfalla sorry there is no definite answer yet but glad GP is being helpful Smile

Ninja glad HSG was ok and hope they get you a follow up soon

Maybe as others have said I'm sure you haven't taken this decision lightly but you'll be sorely missed here - do take care (and I'm gonna keep on brooking for an ironic BFP now you're 'not trying' Wink) xx

NinjaChipmunk · 20/09/2011 18:04

cake I guess that would make sense as today is day 23 of my cycle (which actually only means 5 days not 8 till af) so it would high and closed? I was never very good at biology!

Solars · 20/09/2011 18:36

Congratulations Duke & Patience

Musical great to hear your hcg levels increasing and you're feeling a lot happier, I'm sure all will be fine.

Farfalla it's good to hear that your GP is going to do something and getting those initial tests started, it's always a nice relief when you feel like you're being heard and I always believe you know your own body at the end of the day.

Maybe so sorry to hear you are in fact leaving us but hopefully you'll be back very soon (I'm secretly hoping for that ironic BFP too for you!)

Ninja so glad it all went well with the fanny cam...I know what you mean about the hsg, they were routing around for ages looking for my cervix and the same thought crossed my mind too about whether DH's sperm also had the same problem!! By the way I'm still waiting for my appointment which is at the end of the month to find out the results of my hsg :(

Nothing much to report from me just plain old swi at the moment.

GenericDietCola · 20/09/2011 19:31

Farfalla glad your GP was helpful and I hope you are sorted out soon (still hoping your PFP will turn into a BFP).

Musical that's great news re your hCG! Let us know re scan in 2 weeks.

Ninja glad the procedure is all over and you're OK.

Feeling rough tonight, but ill rather than pg or I might be both so off to bed early.

Patiencedeficit · 20/09/2011 20:19

Hi Bartlet & thanks for the congrats. Was on here a couple of months ago but gave it a rest for a month - all the imaginary symptom spotting was driving me crazy!! Nice to meet you.

Maybe, I'm really sorry to hear your news - hope you will be ok.

Congrats to you Duke! I'm not entirely sure how many DPO but I think it was 14 when I took the test. Must be our lucky month!

Fingers crossed Farfalla...

And thanks for all the congrats everyone. By the time I get home from work there is never much time left to post - hence the lurking... (don't think I'm neglecting you Blush)

farfallarocks · 21/09/2011 07:41

its over here, bleeding with heavy cramps, its a relief actually as I least I know what is going on (at last!)

Thanks for all your support rat smackers, has been lovely as no one but DH and one good friend who has gone through similar know what is going on.

I am brooking no argument for third time lucky however!!

Biscuitsandtea · 21/09/2011 07:50

Ah Farfalla - so sorry to hear that Sad

I'm brooking for the next time xx

duke748 · 21/09/2011 07:53

Big hugs Far. Look after yourself these next few days. All of us brooking ladies will be thinking of you.

It will definitely be 3rd time lucky. Brook. No. Argument.

CakePigeon · 21/09/2011 09:24

So sorry to hear that farfalla but it's good that things are moving forward to find out what is going on. and yes, third time's the charm.

no news here...I have shown amazing (for me) restraint and did not poas this morning as I just couldn't take a BFN at the moment so I'm just going to try and let things run their course and hope AF doesn't show up!

popcorn have you got any news? I have my fingers crossed for you!

PopcornMouse · 21/09/2011 09:31

Oh far, I'm really sorry. Big hugs and yes, at least you're getting it investigated now! Next month will be your month :)

PopcornMouse · 21/09/2011 09:34

BFN. Not even a hint of a line. Not even a hint of a hint.
AF due tomorrow, and given the hideous mood I was in yesterday I owe DH a big apology for being such a moody moo I think it's safe to say she's in her car bombing down the motorway to me this very second :o
But it's not over til it's over! I will go down crossing my legs fighting!

musicalmrs · 21/09/2011 09:41

So sorry farfalla. At least you know what's going on now though. No brooking for you that the investigating goes well, and proves fruitful.

Popcorn - it's not over until she makes an appearance!

GenericDietCola · 21/09/2011 09:46

Farfalla so sorry to hear that but glad you are putting a positive spin on it. Now you have your appointment lined up it will deffo be third time lucky all the best people have two mcs
