Thanks ladies, slight update on stats, am 36 yo, ttc no 3, I hatched last night so af due evening of 22nd/morning of 23rd. I am an obsessive early tester though as I take meds for arthritis which I have to change ASAP if I get knocked up. Managed to SWI 4 days leading up to ov and hoping to have one for the road tonight just to be sure. Have never managed that before, but dh having 3 weeks off after the op he is a bit keen this month!

Looks we're all due around the same time, which is nice.

We didn't get much SWI in before ovulation. Think we got the day before, the day of and the day after. Fingers crossed eh?

Well dp has going to Glasgow for the weekend so no swi this weekend but think it be to early in my cycle to ovulate then anyway hopefully. Jumped on dp last night just in case though!!!

I am having a day off SWI today after doing it 10 days in a row. 10 DAYS IN A ROW!! never in my life have I had so much sex before. Anyway I've had a niggling pain in my kidney area today and I suspect I all this bonking has given me a water infection. Great.

I hope DH and I have managed to catch the right time. According to my iPhone app I ovulated 2 days ago so we well and truly got the lead up to it. But who knows if I have a textbook luteal phase as have never done this before...

Will probably do every other day from now on. Man all this work better pay of

Wow Why That's impressive! I'm starting to think we don't SWI nearly enough?! This is my first time TTC, so far been 4 months since I came off the pill, I haven't bought any sticks or anything, just been trying on the dates it says on the calendar but not had any luck yet. According to the calendar the end of this week and early next week are my good days but will probably only SWI 3 times max? as are away and travelling at funny times! This won't be enough by the seems of things? Agh!!! Not sure if this is TMI but I have noticed the mucus thing before when you notice that is that after you've ov or just before? We did it twice on that day before but no luck? Thanks for reading ladies! :-)

I've been using opk's crystal and tend to find that ewcm (mucus thing) seems to start 2-4 days before I get a positive and then finishes once I've ovulated.

Also, although obviously the more you can swi the better your chances, timing plays a big part too - with ds I used opk's, only swi'd twice and conceived straight away so don't write off your chances just yet!

No wonder you're confused Why! We were like that when we went on holiday for the first time. I wish I could do that now... (thinks of 'just shagging' for no particular reason in misty-eyed way. then pulls self together) Right, still got the EWCM but OPK is getting higher so I guess ovulation is about to happen. I've had some twinges which also indicates ovulation as well. We swi today but DH is away tomorrow night so I guess we'll go for it again on Tuesday. Nothing more we can do after that this month but feel happier as I think we have more of a chance this month than last.

Hello ladies!

I just typed out a nice long first post, full of information and a few jokes scattered here and there to entertain and amuse. Unfortunately I am a muppet and managed to delete it

I've been lurking on the last couple of buses and now I'm joining in. I came off the pill in April and my cycle has settled into something that resembles regular.

So here I am, 24 ttc#1 AF due 26th September

Well ladies I think my shagathon has come back to bite me as I've been getting a pain in my right side which REALLY started to hurt during The Deed when DH when in deep (sorry TMI!) I went to Dr Google and think it's because I have a tilted cervix and all the bashing has hurt it or something. So I think I'm going to abstain for a few days.

I think in future months we'll take it a bit easier haha! Hope you've all had a great weekend!

I just reread my last post and I mentioned my funny pain then too - I sound like a right hypochondriac! Basically it's the same pain but now I reckon it's a cervix bashing (eek) rather than a water infection.

And horsey I know what you mean about shagging for the hell of it. That would be lovely! We've had conversations this month which have gone along the lines of "god I'm knackered" "yeah me too" "better have a quick bonk then" "yeah come one then, hop on"'

I think all the shagging from the past few days has resulted in a water infection. I've been downing cranberry juice all day and at lunchtime caught myself thinking 'what if cranberry juice is bad for my potential baby?' Oh dearie me, what a nutcase I'm becoming....
