Well, as Bleats so kindly started the last one I thought it only fair to take my share of the driving Grin

Let's keep the positive vibe going ladies, we may be off the May minibus but we're definitely not defeated so bring the Wine, Brew and BiscuitBiscuitBiscuit, hold onto your seats and let's get this baby mobile started

Oh, so sorry af got you Why but glad you're still on this bus for another go Smile. If it's any consolation, we've all been there thinking we must be upduffed only to be dissapointed... sometimes I think it's just that you notice things that might always happen but you simply wouldn't pick up on or remember if you weren't ttc. I now keep a diary every month (just a little note of symptoms on my period app on the phone) so that I can see whether I felt the same before (for instance, I'd never noticed I get sore nipples and breasts each month till I started poking them ttc every month)

roger - that looks like a positive to me - maybe all that poas meant by the time you got to the first response your sample hadn't had chance to build up much hcg - had you been drinking a lot of water? Anyway fx you get a clear result in the next couple of days.

Welcome icooksocks and hello again Mersea - glad to hear you had a good holiday

Anyway, I've updated the stats again (wasn't sure when your new af due date is Why so I've put you at the back for now)

It does look positive, but I don't think it is, my ic this morning has nothing more than yesterday, and I didn't want to waste my first response even if they are on bogof at boots. I may go and get a superdrug test, they are very sensitive as I remember. I just think to have a line like that on a clear blue which is a 25miu test, then first response should be showing something as they are 15miu

Oooh Roger that looks very exiting!!! Grin

Thanks ladies. I'm keeping my chin up. It's only the first month. I'm just a bit worried because we SWI A LOT.

GoldenDaffodil · 19/09/2011 07:59

Hello all. Just checking in after being away from MN yesterday.

Why - I'm so sorry to hear your bad news. I often have a little cry when AF shows up. As it's only your first month try not to get too upset, I know that's easier said than done. I would thoroughly recommend a CBFM to increase your chances.

Roger - I really dont understand the disparity between your tests, this is most odd. I've heard of evaporation lines appearing after 10 minutes or so but that photo you uploaded definitely looks like a positive. If you can stand it try to wait a few days before testing again.

Astroness - how are your cramps today? Implantation bleeding occurs when the fertilised embryo attaches itself to the wall if the uterus. In 20-30 % of women some light spotting occurs and is often mistaken for AF.

Whyso Sorry af got you but good you're keeping your chin up. Don't worry that you're swi a lot, we did when ttc dc%232 and it still took 7 months. I'm not saying it will take 7 months but anything up to around a year is considered perfectly normalSmile

Roger a line is a line is a line! The only way you can get any line at all is if there's sone hgc in your system. Maybe ty a Tesco test, they're supposed to be sensitive too.

Not much swi going on here but we are trying to be casual about it. We managed to do it the day before I supposedly ov'd (couldn't help myself and checked an ov calc online) not swi since though.

I don't have any symptoms at the mo so just have to wait and see I guess..

Before getting on with some actual work this morning I just wanted to know if any of you who already have DC's experienced an increase in CM as an early symptom. I know this is TMI but other ttc-ers are the only ones who will understand so apologies for sharing! I never normally get very much but I've had a massive increase in the last few days (I'm now 5 dpo). I'm probably clutching at straws as usual but I know it's not normal for me.

P.S Hello to all the people I didn't say hello to earlier and I'm keeping fingers and toes crossed for bfb's this week

Dalrymps · 19/09/2011 09:30

Golden I didn't notice any but that's not to say it didn't happen.. I just wasn't really aware of what was going on down there.

Ds1 was a surprise. All I noticed with him was that I had cried at things that wouldn't have usually made me cry.

With ds2 my husband commented that my breasts seemed largerBlushGrin

Hi ladies, have just come back from a short break with lots of SWI, am not sure whether I've timed it right or not though! Usually can tell when the ecwm is different but hasn't seemed any different (or is difficult to tell due to lots of SWI!) so am worried I've timed it all wrong again! Think I'm going to buy the sticks next time in the meantime will try to stay positive although should really still be SWI tonight and tomorrow according to calendar but think the OH (not sure what the short term is for partner!) will be too tired as he's working late!! Fingers crossed for everyone testing this week :)

Happy Monday ladies.

Last night I was checking my knickers every 10 minutes because I was so sure AF was coming. Anyway, she hasn't. But she's not properly due until tomorrow, so I'll just wait and see. The cramps have gone and my temp this morning was higher than yesterday- I guess that's a reason to keep optimistic.

I only have one HPT left so I'm going to hold out and see what happens now.

Golden- I know what implantation bleeds are lol I was making fun of myself for spelling it wrong. But on your other point, Fertility Friend told me that creamy CM can be a good sign after ovulation. Something to do with progesterone I think.

Clear Blue Fertility Monitor you say

GoldenDaffodil · 19/09/2011 12:21

AstroNess - Lol! I didin't pick up the joke duh! I don't take temps myself but from what I know about them the increase is a very positive sign. FX for you.

Thanks for your point about CM on Fertility Friend - I'll check that out. CBFM's are expensive (amazon is the cheapest supplier) but they take all the hassle out of predicting ovulation, particularly if your cycles vary in length.

Can I just add that I am ridiculously tired today. Like I literally could fall asleep on the floor if I wanted to.

I don't know why. I slept surprisingly well for a Sunday night.

I hope this is a good sign. At least I could have something to blame this feeling on.

Whysoserious · 19/09/2011 15:46

Sounds positive astroness! Fingers crossed! Oh! I've just worked out what FX means!! Grin

Taking delivery of my CBFM tomorrow. It cost £60 from amazon and I'm happy to pay that. Especially as I have no idea about my cycle it would seem.

My new stats are as follows;

Whysoserious (30) TTCno1 AF due 17th Oct

When I'm on the comp I'll add it to the list properly.

Right this cycle my targets are:

1)not to be so much of a Naive Nelly thinking that it's dead easy to get upduffed
2)not give up alcohol, baths, soft cheese (basically my three main loves in life)
3)not to have so much sex that I damage my insides
4)not to convince myself that I have every symptom under the sun

An going to go with the flow man. (Bad choice of word for me at the moment but you know what I mean).

Very excited to find out if any of you get your BFPs in the next few days!! Smile

Hello everyone.

I just did a First response test and BFN. I'm feeling a bit deflated and have locked myself away for a while to feel sorry for myself. I really thought this was it this month - everything just felt different. Oh well. Maybe next time.

I think I'm going to follow your rules from now on, why - and if it happens it happens.

AngelFairy · 19/09/2011 21:18

hickory I think we're on the same path hunni pot.
I too POA(FR)S tonight and got a BFN Sad I wonder just how responsive they are?? 6 days in advance when Roger is clearly getting BFPs from CBs?!
I am due AF on Friday and my symptoms this month, if not pg are just cruel or idiotic faith Blush
I have been mild cramping since cd17, had very bizarre (TMI ALERT) white jelly-like cm with a purple streak on cd22 then have been nauseous and constantly hungry, with slightly tender breasts since.
(Last month I had severe tenderness from cd18??)

To top it off, I am still convinced I am pg and have just let rip on my dh for smoking whilst away... Why does it seem unfair to me that I am sat pondering each symptom and he can just chuff his way to poor swimmers...
I am so Angry I could kiss him Blush

Anyway, that turned into a selfish rant... hickory my fingers are crossed for you to get a BFP and line it up for us followers!! (Do you recommend the Superdrug tests?)

Angel and hickory you've still got a few days yet. Let's just wait and see.

Sending lots of positive vibes...

In other news, I am still finding it hard not to check my knickers every 30 minutes.

Morning ladies Smile

Time is dragging during this 2ww.. I know I'm trying to be 'casual' about it but I still can't help over analysing everything and wanting to know IMMEDIATELYGrin

So far no symptoms at all, none what so ever, nada!

How is everyone?

Report
AstroNess · 20/09/2011 09:04

Dalrymps I can totally relate to how your feeling. The 2ww is absolute torture in so many ways.

How is everyone else finding it?

Today is dday for me. I don't know why I put the 21st as AF due as fertility friend says today is CD31 and my cycles are normally 31 days. No sign as yet. Just absolutely shattered. Fortunately I'm working at home today...so if she does come or I need a nap then I can get through it at home.

Anyway...it looks like it has a cross to me. There is definitely a faint line behind the control. Please can you check I'm not going mad:

I came back from hols with a rotten upset tummy, usually happens to me when I have a change of water or food. Still not feeling great and I know its not good to be ill when i might be pg. Af not due until the end of next week so its still early but can't help worrying a bit.
