Festie thank you so much!! I know I'm over-reacting but it's just so frustrating! I have irregular cycles anyway which is stressful enough but when FF had charted ov I was so happy and we timed SWI perfectly!

I have been using OPKs and thought I had a positive on CD11 or 12 but now not to sure! I obviously stopped using them once I thought I had ov'd and knowing my luck I have probably ov'd since not using them!!

Am just going to keep testing with OPKs and temping etc and hope to time SWI in line with this!!

Hello everyone! I missed the post saying we were moving...glad to find you all.

Such a roller-coaster weekend of emotions this end.

Still no AF which is religiously regular. 5 days late tomorrow. I have lots of symptoms but this is only month one. Have done what feels like a million hpt's which were all negative until last night where I had a very very faint shadow of a line which was one of those had to search for it, stare at it and get it in the right light sort of lines. Hubby could see it too though and it came up in seconds. I hardly slept and got up at 5am with my morning peewee for another hpt and there was a bfn. Meanwhile I still have sore bb's and a handful of other symptoms.

Spoke to the FP clinic who said after the copper coil removal it is very rare and unusual but the cycle can be disrupted but it wouldn't account for the lethargy, oversensitivity for smells...I can't bare apple fairy liquid at the mo, emotional, full really quickly when eating. Not really feel sick, only a couple of occasions.

Could it be a chemical pregnancy? Although reading up on this, AF's usually still start with these and symptoms stop, not increase.

Maybe AF will come any day or could I be pregnant?

Pray it's not a miscarriage Sad

Xx

Any advise?

Tibby, I went on and on to the point where I think everyone wanted to bash me on the head with a pissy stick about the faint lines and negative tests I had for five days before the bfp came through properly. The test that made me confident was Sainsburys digital - seems sensitive and worked quickly. Good luck - it's unlikely there would be anything to see at all if you were not a little bit pregnant .

wow what a busy weekend congrats to Quenelle and Heidi hoping that your pregnancy goes well.

Gtr fingers crossed that things go your way

Tibby it sound like we are in a similar boat. AF was due Saturday and tested yesterday with FMU and came back as a BFN. I cant say I was surprised as I have convinced myself that as its only been month 1 off the pill wont be my month. Discussed with DH and said that if no show of AF by Next Saturday then will test again. I have been using the ones off Amazon but after reading several posts on here I might upgrade to a CB digital.

Have been trying to chart my cervix and over the past few days its is high hard and feels closed is this a sign that AF is on her way? I'm also not sure how long I should wait for AF before going to the doc's??

GTR2882 · 05/09/2011 09:08

Bradders I always thought that low hard and closed was a sign of imminent AF!! Do you check at the same time every day?? Be warned that the cervix will rise to a high position first thing in the morning due to your body being horizontal during the night! I normally check mine about half an hour after getting up as I find this to be more accurate - the cervix also shifts a lot during the day hence why it should be checked at the same time!

Argh why are we sooooo complicated!!

Fingers crossed that this is a good sign for you Grin

Hi Ladies,

So many familiar names getting their BFPs. It's really lovely to hear :)

Spotted my name on the Up-Duffers group and felt a little pang of sadness. I MCed at 7 weeks so am hanging around on the sidelines of the conception threads here on MN. Spotted this one and had to come and say hi. I've been watching the June thread as realistically that's where i'm more likely to be.

Really no idea when i'm expecting AF following the mc. Am also not sure when i ovulate seeing as we got pg so ridiculously quickly with no real effort. So did a couple of OVPKs at the weekend and both came up negative. They're the first ones i've ever done so don't really know much about getting a positive on them.

Hey ho, we've decided to get right back on it rather than waiting for AF to come. Who knows....

I'm sad but i'm alright :)

Congratulations again to everyone who's had their much deserved BFPs :)

xx

Gutted for you Mamma. That happened to me last time and it's hard. I'm pregnant again 3 months later though so I'm sure you will be too soon. People kept saying to me 'at least you know you can get 'pregnant'' which was I suppose true but made me want to punch them. I would advise going for the pre-seed when you are trying again in earnest - tmi but if you are anything like me you might be a bit tense and dry at first. It's a loss for both of you, a loss of your innocent optimism most of all, but you will feel better after a while. Thinking of you. X

Just popping in to say hello!

Congrats to the BFP's - very pleased for you.

Really sorry to hear your news mamma. I hope you're doing OK and that it happens for you soon.

Having decided to wait to swi until after testing, we ended up swi this weekend. Then I got a + opk today, so you never know... Trying not to think about it / get hopes up. DD1s birthday is this week, and we're having her party on saturday, so that means lots of distractions and jobs to do to get everything ready. Hope it stays fine on saturday so we can get the bouncy castle up (and I don't have 16 delightful 6mth - 4yr olds and lots of parents squished into the house)!!!

Oh Mamma so sorry to hear your news!

I am very much confused; after having my coverline removed and losing all hope FF has now reinstated it after having 2 days of high temps!! I definitely do not feel pg at all the previous symptoms that I had seem to have disappeared all I have is the occassional cramp. Don't know whether to be happy or concerned that FF is just messing with my head!! Argh!!

Right, rant over, I'm off to check my cervix........

Some really lovely words from you all - thanks so much. I'm definitely ok now. Really longing to be pg soon. The opks are still showing negative which is frustrating. I'm all for the pre-seed, totally agree with you there.

Thanks ladies. Will carry on lurking here but you'll probably fi d me over in June when I'm more clued up on what my body's telling me. x x x

Hello ladies, i am in desperate need of some advice/words of wisdom!!

Because FF has decided to mess me around, I am not totally convinced that I ov'd when it says that i did (although it does make sense as I am due AF tomorrow or Saturday). Anyway, in order to put my mind at ease, i have been peeing on OPKs twice a day since FF first removed my cover line (this has since been reinstated following a couple of high temps). They have generally been negative, except for todays which was the darkest it has been since my LMP - could i be ovulating now??? I am currently 13dpo according to FF - could they have miscalculated my previous ov day? My cm is really creamy as well and my cervix seems low and soft (so i don't think i can be gearing up for ov as it should technically be soft, high, open and wet!)

Confused

Hi GTR I don't use FF, so can't advise on that, but it does seem that as festie said, it is a software program, so can't look at things the same way we or a doctor would.

I read somewhere (can't remember where, but believe it was based on some actual research) that all women do not always ovulate the same every month - i.e. some months a woman might not ovulate, other (most) months she might ovulate once, some other times she might ovulate twice. This can happen without there being anything wrong with the woman's fertility at all. Maybe it was BS, but interesting anyway!

The other thing I would mention is that this month is the first time I ever had a positive on an OPK (it was the Superdrug own brand one) - even the month I conceived DD2 I got only negatives...

So basically, it all seems a bit open to interpretation, gadgets like software and OPKs aren't always 100%, and our bodies don't always co-operate. Lucky, lucky us. Why can't it all be predictable and just go how we want when we want????? (I speak from the heart here!!!)

If you've been temping and it looks like you ov'd (I get a temp drop at ov, then a sharp raise next day), then chances are you did. :)

Hi Catsy thanks for your pearls of wisdom!! I do temp and after CD12 my temps did start to rise! My cycles can be pretty irregular (last cycle was 52 days) so was made up when ov had been detected on my chart! Then my temps became erratic a couple of days ago before rising again and my pg monitor returned on FF, so here I am on 13dpo and an almost positive OPK! ah the joys of being a woman!!

Just gonna plod on until a BFP or AF Grin

Hello all!

AF was due 31st August. I'm emotional, crampy and emotional and wish I was at home all day, every day this week :( and not at work with a load of horrible bullies.

Braggers and all, went to the doctors and she sent me packing. Said I was probably pregnant but usually two weeks post period before the majority if people knew.??? Anyone hear of this? Who knows! Sitting tight now with my very sore boobs. Either AF is on route or I'm pregnant...simple as that!

I've discounted other options such as coil (copper only) removal disrupting cycle. Two doctors have both said unheard of now so that's something.

Feeling Sad a bit lonely as hubby not a good listener. All tests negative today.

Thanks to you all being good listeners. X

Tibbycat sorry that you are feeling low at the moment! Men are rubbish at trying to be sympathetic and understand what we are going through - i often tell me DH that all he really has to do is turn up, we do the rest! We have to go through the emotional roller coaster dealing with maybe's and possibilities and struggling with BFN's, wishing and praying that a BFP is just around the corner and the next time there is some POAS action it is good news :)

I have not heard about that 2 weeks post period but if the Doc is saying that then it gives me hope, as i am crampy at the moment and AF is due to make an appearance either tomorrow or Saturday!! Hoping that it's my uterus expanding (and i hope that it is the case with you as well, fingers crossed) but i know with me it's more likely wishful thinking!!!

We are all here for each other - i think i have told more of you about the intimacies and inner workings of my reproductive system that i would ever dare to speak to DH or even my close friends about!!!

Hoping that tomorrow brings a nice shiny BFP for you Grin

LOL at my pearls of wisdom, GTR!!!!!!!!!!!! Plodding on sounds good - I'm working on that plan myself at the moment!

Tibby, the EPU nurse said that in her opinion, most GPs are a bit rubbish about all matters pg related (yes, even the female ones!). And though I generally don't like to wheel out the the "men don't understand" thing, I think that as GTR said, it is true to some degree with ttc. My DH is very understanding and sensitive to people's feelings generally, but he does not get how bad it feels every month when AF turns up and another chance to be pg has gone by, or how every little thing feels like a symptom of pg, or of some horrible condition that will stop you getting pg, etc, etc... Sorry you work with some nasty people by the sound of it too - feel free to unload here!

Hope you both get big huuuuuuuuge FPs soon!!!!

right enough is enough i think you should appoint the next few days AF watch and if not by end of the week then hayyyyy your pregnant!
ive never heard of a AF being so late( if you know you af due date) and still not getting a BFP on the sticks!!!!!!! but you could be the few who will be pregnant and those sticks just dont show it! any chance of getting a blood test done instead!surely that should be an option!!!!!
yeh your work mates sound awful boooooo hisssssssss boooooooooo!!!!! lets throw our old pee sticks at them!!!!!!!!!!
yeh totally agree with the DH thing mine is wonderful and he makes out he understands it all but really dont have a clue!!!!!!!!! thinks we can have a baby as and when we want!!!!!! ermmmmmm dont quite work like that though!
deep sigh!!!!! if only, 2 babies born and 3 more to go!!!!!!!!!!! and so there is that feeling again of i would be 24 weeks!!!!!!!!!! oh sigh!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mamma5 - not sure whether I'm coming or going! Don't think I'll be on the May bus for long as FF coverline has disappeared again! Maybe yesterday's almost positive OPK means imminent ov either that or my stupid body is having an annovultory cycle this month which means I should hopefully ov towards the end of the month! Either way I'm gonna keep POAS, temping and SWIing until that sperm finally meets my bloody egg! Why can't we just be fertile all the time, like the men!?! :)

Catsy and mama5, you've cheered me up Smile I love the idea of saving up my old pee sticks and throwing them at my colleagues (giggle). I'm in marketing, been doing it forever but this is a big corporate and the senior mgt suck. We talk about me moving on, recently got offered an interview but I can't start somewhere knowing I'm ttc (which takes priority), only adding to the anxiety!

I'll keep you posted. On Monday I managed to get an appt at my local FP clinic nurse. Was going to cancel but after your comment about the GP's, I'm going to go. I'd love a blood test. Ad I've said before, my sister is only 14 and when my mum had her, she did a number if tests, right up to 13 weeks, all of which were bfn. Only a blood test showed she was pregnant....she was very shocked!!! 16 years between us!!!

Will keep you posted and thank you for listening. I adore hubby and he's looking after ms each night at the mo to give me a break (making dinner etc) but I've resigned to them never understanding...however much they try!

Have good days everyone. Xxxxx

I have a little question about ov pee sticks. Now i know on the packet it says that if there's a faint line that means it's negative. But if up until yesterday there's been nothing and then last night a faint line surely that means that there's been a slight increase in the hormone? And hopefully body if gearing up to ovulate?

Anyway, just wondered. I'm not really that bothered because just going to make sure we dtd each night for a while regardless of what sticks say! DP will be happy Wink

tibby i reckon just stay positive. I was getting so frustrated when AF was really late but sticks were saying BFN. Turns out I was pg all along. The stress was horrible. If i'm lucky enough to get pg again, i'm just going to keep a positive head on my shoulders until AF comes.

Mama5 indeed see you in June. Will be nice to see some familiar faces names.

Mamma have been peeing on these sticks religiously (sometimes 3 times a day as I heard that the surge can be over in a 24 hour period and i did not want to miss it!) and i am yet to get a positive - i have quite a few that appear positive, but my second line has never been the same colour or as dark as the control line, so either they are lying or i am not oving!! Apparently the LH that it detects is always present in some form throughout our cycle and it surges just before the egg is released. I would say that LH is present in your wee, and I would do what you are planning, lots of SWI but keep testing and get extra SWI in when the lines do start to get darker (that is my plan!)

I too will be jumping onto the June bus :) thought i had my BFP this morning, but turns out they were evaps, as CBD came out clearly Not Pregnant (very disappointing to see that) so the only sticks i am going to pee on from now on are the ov ones!!!
