Hi hi! Been camping this week so had to save BB power for work emails. Was dying to post all week though.

AF was due Monday and I was mighty pissed off that I would be on for whole holiday but it didn't arrive. When it didn't arrive Tues and I got car sick going 10 miles down the road I told DH. We decided to wait and see, then Wed am there was a bit of pink spotting so I told DH I had jumped the gun and had just been late Sad. But car sickness persisted and spotting stopped. By Thurs I was convinced but DH made me wait until we got home yesterday to buy a test.

Went straight to Tesco for a 2pk CBD and POAS. Unbelievably I could only manage the tiniest tinkle - had been pissing like a racehorse every 5 mins all week. Was enough tho, BFP showed within a couple of mins Smile.

So there we are, Operation KUMQUAT has done its job. I'm due on 7 May. DH is very pleased with himself that he managed to do it in one month.

Sorry not had a chance to read the end of the last thread so this post is all me, me, me. Congrats to all BFPs and commiserations to those who weren't lucky this month.

Also sorry if this posts twice. Stupid BB.

Wow Quenelle congratulations! such good news and I'm impressed you waited so long to test!

I'm hoping that gtr comes back today with the results of her FMU test!

I also have a bit of good news for the group! Today despite having ZERO symptoms (i've had more symptoms on months ive not been pregnant!) I got carried away and did a test at 7am with FMU

It was a BFP! Line faint but definately 'there'. I woke up DH and told him and we both lay shaking in bed for a while :)

Due date May 16th

Now I just have to make sure I hang onto it and hope everything goes fine!

Oh I do hope so Notnow - i tested this morning very early (did not sleep well at all last night) and i think the test may have been faulty because the control line took at least 5 mins, maybe more, to make an appearance and the line in the test window is lighter than the line yesterday!!! Confused

I have woken to intense cramps this morning as well - much worse than they have been over the last few days; AF is not due until Wednesday so I think it might be too early for that (or at least I am hoping it is).

Have bought a ton of internet cheapies, I am on holiday at the moment but leave today so i am hoping that they have arrived so that i can test when i get in :)

GTR, did you buy the ones from amazon? Beware - they mess with your head! Every other test I've taken has been positive but those little bastards have given me absolutely nothing. I'm much happier with words than lines so am trusting the digital one, but I would definitely wait until AF is late to believe those mean-spirited, grudging little sods.

GTR2882 · 03/09/2011 09:53

Thanks for the advice Notnow - i did yes because i didn't want to spend a fortune on tests (i spend £25 yesterday!) I have two clear blue digi's but i want to wait until i am certain that there is a sticky bean up there!!

TMI warning, but i checked my cervix this morning and I am really, really wet up there (more so than when i ovulated). I thought CM was supposed to dry up quickly after ov but mine is definitely in abundance Blush

Hey ladies

I am still hanging around! Try to steer clear for as long as I can, managed till 5DPO now I am back to symptom spot like crazy :)

TMI alert but had a lot of watery discharge last night, it woke me up as I thought AF had come extra early. Anyone experienced this before? Its not particularly normal for me but then I have PG symptoms every month but no PG :)

Hey ladies, congratulations on the BFPs!! Grin

I've been following the thread but very little to report. SWI enough to possibly be pregnant, but zero symptoms to spot so far. I have almost convinced myself that lack of symptoms is in fact a symptom - given the meaningless sore boobage I had this time last month.

Am aiming to be strong and wait until after AF is due to POAS. As fun as weeing on sticks is, it does leave you in a bit a of a downer to see a BFN.

Good luck to everyone testing Smile x

Hi,

Ive just found this forum, been trying for a couple of months but no luck yet. Last month I tried clearblue ovulation predictor test sticks but never got a positive sign. Does anyone know if that is normal? I have a four yr old daughter but I am paranoid that I am going through an early menopause as cycle used to be regular and is now slightly irregular ( I am 34). I think TTC is sending me a little bit bonkers, I was convinced I was pregnant last month, period was late and I felt dizzy, but my hopes were dashed. Oh well, heres hoping I get lucky this month.

Report
notnowImreading · 03/09/2011 16:49

I used the clearblue ov sticks and some work and some don't. I had no signs at all from them the month I had the 21st day blood test for ovulation and it said I had definitely ovulated. So don't panic - just make sure you actually wee enough on the sticks (dr told me that they sometimes don't work because you didn't need a big enough wee!)

Aw thank you everyone...lovely to see all the congratulations messages... and yes I think this thread is looking pretty lucky so far!

Keep dashing through to look at the test again! To admire the BFP! Feel like a fraud I feel NO different at all, no symptoms or anything... just had a celebratory steak with my husband... then remembered that steak (medium) is on the list to avoid when pregnant. Doh... Must try harder!

Good luck turnwest i really hope that you, and everyone gets a good result very very soon.

Congrats people and thanks for adding me to this thread. Tbh I am a bit confused how all the dates work, if I get pregnant to I count from time of conception or implantation? I should have paid more attention in Biology, I was always more of a Physics girl...

@moomingirl, I am the same as you, don't feel at all pregnant this month but last month was convinced I was, so now hoping that the lack of heartburn etc means I am!

Oh it's all v confusing. Been doing the swi and preseed, if it doesn't work then next month I'll start with the bbt thermometer and try to lose some weight (after getting body into healthy shape have undone all my good work in the last few months).

Well I am definitely out this month - after temping this morning FF has removed my coverline! Don't know what is going on with my body but it looks as though I have not ov'd not even sure I am going to and getting truly fed up! Cried for half an hour this morning, starting to think I can't have children :(

Congrats to the BFPs!

I'm also hoping this 2ww will go quicker now that I'm back at work- tbh a week has flown by without me even realising, and now I'm a bit upset because I've had nothing. Last time I had cramps for 3 days a week or so after potential ovulation, and I was convinced it was implantation, so not really sure what to do with myself.

I'm still peeing on my internet cheapie ovulation sticks just to get an idea of what my cycle looks like on paper (arf). I had darker lines on CD 14 and 15, but still not as dark as the control line- but that seems to have been it. I guess going from faint to proper is the actual ovulation, as I pretty much have blank sticks now...

Also temping but don't know if I'm doing it right. Grr.

I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

GTR - Please don't think you're out of the game completely cos FF has removed your coverline. Remember it's just some software based on algorithms and cannot understand the intricacies of an individual woman's hormones.

Have you used OPKs? Sometimes they're a good option to reassure you that you are OVing - that said, they're not always completely accurate. Your other alternative is to see your GP. They can do tests that will determine whether you're oving. Not sure what they're called; but sure there are people on here more experienced in such things who can fill you in.

Hope you're feeing better this afternoon. xx
