maybe, we may take a month off and start again properly in feb, after meeting with nurse. Apparently natrual family planning nurses see it as a failure of their methods if you accidently get pregnant. So she might be a bit cross if I said we were trying!

peachygirl · 05/01/2006 18:35

peachy no keep going

pussycatmomma · 05/01/2006 18:37

yes peachy, a FET (frozen embryo transfer) is literally where they take the embryo, unfreeze it and put it in , so it will hopefully implant. Theres no guarantees though and im sure it isnt as simple as i have made it sound me and my mum are learning fast as we go along.
whats with the family planning nurse?

pussycatmomma · 05/01/2006 18:45

what name?

peachygirl · 05/01/2006 18:48

The cat is called Maisy very beautiful (of course!) all black. I have been seeing the FPN for contraception ? (natural methods) and that?s where I have learnt all my info about temping and CM, they can help identify your cycle for conceiving too I have had a really good support from mine and she seems to know lots and lots. I would recommend them anyway they know so much more than your GP about everything to do with contraception. I really felt I was listened to.

trace2 · 05/01/2006 18:50

archie, brown & white

peachygirl · 05/01/2006 18:50

trace You must have you hands full with two big ones, your little one and a dog! where do you find the time for everythng? Pussycat what are yours called - everyone loves talking about thier pets!

pussycatmomma · 05/01/2006 18:51

thats really interesting. do you know, i havent set foot in a family planning clinic since i was about 17 and at college wanting info on the pill for the first time! Of course it is me who is outdated here, if they callled them "conception clinics" or something i might have twigged earlier! is it attached to your gp surg or independant?

pussycatmomma · 05/01/2006 18:53

my cats are Charlie (big old ginger clothbag), Susie (beautiful, white and black , sometimes gets called Audrey Hepburn as she is v. elegant) and Boris (mackeral tabby, very mischievous and 8 months old) hence my chat name!

peachygirl · 05/01/2006 18:55

This one is independent, at our local walk-in centre. I know I go on about that website (fertilityuk) but if you go to it and go to contacts you should find a clinic near to you

peachygirl · 05/01/2006 18:59

How did your others get on with the new one? I would love another but don't think Maisy would tolerate it she had kittens very young (before us) naughty teenage pregnancy cat!

trace2 · 05/01/2006 19:01

have noticed you pussycat have posted on cods thread, hehe me to

pussycatmomma · 05/01/2006 19:01

have you just seen that other thread by cod?? on about how ttc threads p** her off. not sure why she is so aggrieved!
clinics, tbh, im always a bit scared of going and discussing things, not because it is personal nature but just in general....i have been trying to check my cm this month, and not seen ANY ewcm , no stretchy stuff at all! maybe i am missing it or maybe its not there......

pussycatmomma · 05/01/2006 19:02

at "naughty teenage pregnancy cat"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

peachygirl · 05/01/2006 19:27

I've also added my fourpenneth on the Cod debate. I need to go for a while to pack the case to go to Bournemouth for the funeral on Monday. I will check in again later

northerner · 05/01/2006 20:41
