Morning ladies,

Northerner glad to hear you had a good time. Cant wait to hear your result fingers crossed for you!!

MrsWood - That must be a complete pain in the backside. on the note of how to surprise. Put a riboon round the test and buy a card that says daddy. Give him the card first then show him the test. he should get it from that.

AF has finally gone!! woohoo!! only took 5 days!! glad its gone tho.

trace2 · 25/01/2006 08:41

trace2 · 25/01/2006 08:50

oh sorry bit it means its on its last legs now

mumswish · 25/01/2006 08:53

Hope so cos its really hurting still and its doing my head in. Surely its not good for you to take aspirin for nearly a week straight! lol

What you got planned for today?

Hayls · 25/01/2006 08:54

Morning all. Totally fed up, still got this bug and had no sleep for two days. MEant to be having a relaxing break at my mums and no joy

On a brighter note, it's dd's 2nd bday on Sunday and I'm feeling all chuffed with myself, amazed that she's this old already and...a bit emtional. My baby isn't a baby any more.

I brought our 'baby simulator' home from work (d'you knwo what I mean- weigsh 7lb, cries etc and teaches teenagers what life really is like with a baby)Dd was so impressed until it started crying and I couldn't get it to stop- she was saying, no m ummy, it's crying, away! Dh wasn't much more impressed, made sure I had the control unit to turn it off. Doesn't inspire me with much hope for if/when baby no.2 arrives based on that reaction!

Anyway, hope you're all well. As for telling dh, dd was an unexpected surprise so I did a test on the off chance without telling him then phoned him from work in total shock. He didn't believe me until gp confirmed it and he'd looked at the test a million times. ( I've still got that test in dd's scrapbook )

mumswish · 25/01/2006 08:58

Sorry to hear your feeling yucky Hayls, I hope it eases off for you soon.

I'd love to try and baby simulator, when I see them on TV progs they look like fun. Bet ist hard tho.

Hayls · 25/01/2006 09:05

TBh, it was much easire than dd ever was. YOu can set it on easy, medium or hard and we had it on hard to try and give them a real challenge but theywere fine. It gives a read out of how well it'd been looked after and whether it had been roughly handled etc. Def worth a go but if you can borrow a real baby I would advise that instead!

Would always choose real baby instead!! lol, anyday!! ha ha

Might have to see about stealing my mates baby for abit, she's never let her out of her sight since she was born and that was nearly 5 months ago.

Coriander73 · 25/01/2006 09:19

Northerner....well???!!!!!!!!!

northerner · 25/01/2006 10:12

Hi guys.

Tested this morning, BFN I'm afraid. Still no sign of AF though.

Might not get chance to chat much today, got a busy schedule ahead of me. But it's nice to know you were all rooting for me.

I guess it's over to a new Feb thread then?.......

mumswish · 25/01/2006 10:16

Northener I'm sorry about the BFN but you never know you might just be testing early. If theres no AF theres still a chance, I hope so.

northerner · 25/01/2006 10:21

Do you know what? It's only month 2 and already I'm thinking that this is driving me absolutley crazy. Thinking about it, talking about it, dreaming about it....... Am alraeday thinking I must stop cause this is not good for me.

How some of you have managed for months and months I'll never know. How do you stop being consumed by the TTC bug?

mumswish · 25/01/2006 10:27

I understand how people can get consumed by the TTC bug, I'm sure I will when we finally get to it properly.

I keep thinking "o its fine I just wont think about it" but I know that wont happen.

trace2 · 25/01/2006 12:19

northy how do you feel ,still tired and sore boobsm which test did you do??

northerner · 25/01/2006 12:39

Hu Trace. Feel OK. Boobs still sore, and dh commented on how full they look!

Used an ASDA's own test.

northerner · 25/01/2006 12:40

Hi trace not Hu

Hayls · 25/01/2006 12:42

Sorry to hear that Northener. You could still be too early to test though, could you not? I'm not an expert but the signs do look good...

I know what you mean about ttc taking over. We've only just started going for it and this month is too late really but already it's as if I'm consumed with it. Everything is based on 'if we have another baby by then' and all plans are centred round if I'm pg or we have a newborn by that stage. IT's quite tricky

wannaBe1974 · 25/01/2006 12:43

Hi all, sorry about your BFN northy, I know exactly what you mean about TTC being all-consuming though - I've been TTC since may last year and I'm going round the bend. With my DS I was TTC for 13 months, and ironically it was the month that we went for tests and said right that's it, we'll wait for the tests and will then tell everyone there won't be any kids, that I fell pregnant. It's hard to forget, and just get on with life as normal without wondering every month if you could be pregnant.

Mumswish sorry to hear AF is still there, I bled for a sum total of 2 days and then stopped, me thinks that is not right and there must be something wrong with me, just looking on the net to see where DH can go for sperm test in london as going to GP here means he has to take too much time off work, then I'll go to GP and hopefully get tested as well.

Lol at the baby simulator. I think all teenagers should have them. When I was at school (I went to school in south africa) we conducted a similar thing but with bags of flour. these bags of flour were our babies for 3 weeks. we even dressed them up to look a bit more like babies than bags of flour, they didn't cry obviously but having to be constantly responsible for them was quite enough, although I wasn't maternal back then anyway. the one positive thing that came out of the experiment was that we made the flour into pancakes afterwards.

wuzzlefraggle · 25/01/2006 12:45
