me too! Yay for the Ninja mascot!

scarletfingernail · 09/09/2011 09:59

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

CONGRATULATIONS Musical that's fantastic. Looking forward to you confirming again after your CBD BFP.

Solars really sorry to hear about AF.

Farfalla I had no idea that alcohol lowers progesterone. I wish I'd known that when I was ttc. I do like a glass of wine of an evening, but strangely the month I caught the rat I had cut down to weekends only. I wonder now if it wasn't a coincidence. Anyway, you can't put your life on hold because of TTC a blow out every now again won't hurt surely so try not to worry about it. FWIW I'd had 2 massive nights out during my 2ww with DS and nothing went wrong there. I also had a heavy drinking the weekend before my BFP this time around as well.

Still no sign of Scream? Sad Hope everything's ok.

Sn0wGoose · 09/09/2011 10:07

Cheers farfalla. It's quite confusing trying to see how all these different tracking methods fit in with oneanother iykwim! Luckily I've always had plenty of EWCM so I've sort of relied on that.... (though clearly that hasn't worked thus far.... Hmm )

Sn0wGoose · 09/09/2011 10:07

And while we're on the topic, irritatingly, my expensive pg books from mothercare have all of 2 pages in them on actually ttc Confused

farfallarocks · 09/09/2011 10:36

I hope I have not freaked anyone out with the booze thing. i think its fine if you are 'normal' but given I have low progesterone anyway I guess I feel I need to not deplete the levels I do have!!??? Hmmmmmmm

I am still really constipated (sorry for TMI) and have lots of weird creamy discharge. Its almost milkly, odourless and not thrush anymore.

Anyone had this before? Trying not to get to my hopes up but have obviously spent most of the morning on google looking up creamy discharge 6dpo

farfallarocks · 09/09/2011 10:37

snow I agree. The best book I have read is the Zita West How to get Pregnant one. Its very sensible and you can dip in and out of it.

GenericDietCola · 09/09/2011 10:42

Farfalla I'm sure discharge is a common symptom of early pregnancy and seem to remember this myself. Constipation is definitely a symptom. How can you be sure your progesterone is low? Didn't you think your blood tests were done on the wrong day? Apologies if I'm remembering incorrectly. I'm sure there are lots of factors that could influence your progesterone level on that day. Please don't worry about it too much as you are clearly pregnant anyway.

Sn0w that's a bugger re the books. I've got The Rough Guide to Pregnancy and it does have a chapter on ttc, but it's not very helpful really, you probably know it already. The bit about pregnancy is good though - there's a diary each week, which is amusing, and there is plenty of factual information as well.

farfallarocks · 09/09/2011 10:46

Yes generic it was done 2 days late but I have other symptoms (shorter cycles, spotting before AF etc), shortish luteal phase. I am trying not to obsess about it because I know these things can vary hugely month to month.

Annoyingly day 21 test again falls on a Saturday this month so am going to wait until next month to re-test (not that it will be necessary as will be preggers laready)

I am with child clearly so as you say, its all irrelevant.

GenericDietCola · 09/09/2011 10:56

That's the spirit Farfalla!

musicalmrs · 09/09/2011 11:13

Thanks Ninja, Solars, Generic, Sn0w, scarlet and farfalla. I might be the first Sept BFP? Trying to be quietly excited, but stay realistic too..

Solars, sorry to hear about AF. A June baby would be lovely though! (I had convinced myself to just how lovely a June baby would be, thinking I was CD8!).

Farfalla, I had lots and lots of creamy discharge this month! And was really constipated. Two clear signs that you're already preggers ;)

Biscuits - I will be adding some musical instrument hooks I think ;) Saxes and oboes and clarinets though - I'm a pianist and woodwind. No huge tubas for me thank goodness!

Biscuitsandtea · 09/09/2011 11:16

Well you could add a trailer for your piano perhaps Musical? Smile

I soooo wish I could play the piano :(

Sn0wGoose · 09/09/2011 11:35

Me too Biscuit, I even took lessons once but gave up because I was pants. I idolise anyone that can play, musicalmrs!

Farfalla, what counts as a short luteal phase?

Solars · 09/09/2011 11:51

Farfalla are your cycles dead on regular, same length each month? Mine can vary by about a day a two, if I were you I would still go for the day 21 test on the friday this month even though you think that may be day 20, you just never know. Having said that, you don't need to do it anyway as you are so clearly preggo!!

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 09/09/2011 12:05

Hi preggos!! I have really really missed you all! I've been stuck in the real world where I can't chat about the important things in life - like symptoms!

I can't stay long, suffice to say that between evil week-long headaches, evil bad backs, and evil exams I haven't been able to come on to MN and see how you've all been doing. I'm sorry! A very quick look now tells me that Musical has managed to convince a pee stick of the Blindingly Obvious though!! Well done!!! Congratulations!!!!

I hope to catch up with the rest of the thread properly tomorrow. I hope everyone else is doing well, and I'm looking forward to seeing who will be following Musical's excellent example shortly!

p.s. Thanks to those who noticed I was gone - that's so sweet of you! I've felt horribly cut off from you all for ages now, can't wait to be back properly soon!

scarletfingernail · 09/09/2011 12:15

Hey Scream great to hear from you. RL sounds very hectic, but good to hear all is well.

Sn0wGoose · 09/09/2011 13:12

Oh noes, scream! Are you taking anything for your headaches? (sound like migraines to me?)

thelittlefriend · 09/09/2011 13:26

Congratulations MusicalMrs!

Snow I think under 10 days is considered a short luteal phase

maybebabyR · 09/09/2011 14:00

Congratulations Musical so so pleased for you Grin

Sorry about AF Solars this month will be yours.

Glad everything is well Scream hope life returns to normal ASAP.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you Farfalla

ScrambledSmegs · 09/09/2011 14:05

Congratulations musicalmrs!

I think AF is not far away. Better roll out the white carpet (arf). . I do have a really short cycle, 21-22 days, but it didn't stop us smacking the rat first time with DD, and with the one that got away just before as well. I take a Vitamin B Complex whcih contains B6 (and 200% folic acid) so I guess that might help?

Right, make the most of your visit AF 'cos I won't be seeing you for a veeeeery long time after this!

ScrambledSmegs · 09/09/2011 14:09

Cor. There is a full-on ruck going on down my street right now! If I don't check in within, ooh, 15 minutes, you can assume that I've been trying too hard to get a look and have fallen out of my window!

Wants3 · 09/09/2011 14:12

Hello everyone, congrats to musical
I have been feeling odd all week, tired and temp on weds, on off bloating and today I have a uncomfortable feeling on my left side and periods of nausea in the mornings and evenings. I am due AF poss on tuesday!

maybebabyR · 09/09/2011 14:27

That sounds very promising indeed Wants Smile

Sorry to hear that Scrambled I can be a bit of a nosy neighbour too. I use the excuse that our kitchen window overlooks the street Grin

I am sad to say ladies that I am going to be leaving you all. DH and I are stopping trying for a few years. My boss has been making my life a misery for a while, and it has gotten a lot worse this week. If I were to get pregnant whilst working with him, it would not go down well at all.

Seen as my PhD doesn't finish till Jan 2013, and the job situation at the moment in academia is looking decidedly rubbish, I can't risk having baby until I have a secure job. I am absolutely devastated, and it kind of seems like the last 6 months have been a bit of a waste.

But you lovely ladies have certainly made it so much more fun and enjoyable than TTC alone would have been Smile I am looking forward to coming back in a few years to find you all TTC your next bundle of joy Grin

Lots if luck everyone. Not that you need it, seen as you are all sooooooo obviously updiffed Grin x

CakePigeon · 09/09/2011 14:28

Oh well done musical any tips to share? Congrats to you and your DH Smile

Sorry to hear about AF solars but glad you are sounding chipper and ready for your June bug already.

I always drink in the 2ww after promising myself that I won't Blush usually only a glass of red here and there and that's good for you right? Grin swear I won't drink this time

Sorry to hear about your headaches scream hope your exams go well

After thinking I had laid my egg yesterday I had a super quick and really dark opk line today so DH has been warned about impending SWI. I think he's sick of it he says I'm going to have to put some moves on him Hmm

CakePigeon · 09/09/2011 14:29

Oh no maybe! So so sorry to hear that Sad we will miss you terribly
