hello! nice to see you back dream and as for the rest of you, you are sooo pregnant its ridiculous. I expect to see a flurry of confirmations very soon.

no symptoms to report here, mainly as i am a shag free zone and have about 2 1/2 weeks before af is due! I could make some i suppose?

dreamfeeder · 08/09/2011 22:28

oh ninja a wasted month is a total pain!! A bit of ringing for cancellations and general badgering can't do any harm...

crossing my fingers for you solars, the problem with all these pg symptoms is sometimes they're just the same as the af ones!!!

musicalmrs · 09/09/2011 07:23

Morning rat-smackers! How are we all?

So... had a very busy day yesterday, and was completely shattered. Met DH in London to go to a radio recording, and was feeling rubbish - so decided to test soon in case of being ill and wanting to blitz it before I'm back in contact with kids at work next week...

Tested last night, and .. surprise BFP! In quite a bit of shock..! Trying to keep calm about it... DH is picking up a CBD on the way home to confirm it a bit better, although the line was quite dark..

Biscuitsandtea · 09/09/2011 07:36

Yay yay yay musical that's awesome news! GrinGrin

Look forward to hearing the CBD confirmation :)

jenfraggle · 09/09/2011 07:58

Woohoo musical !

Imps7 · 09/09/2011 08:07

Aarrrrgg YAY!!! Musical what brilliant news!! And there you were thinking you were part of the Day 8 Posse!!! Whilst I of course love being in the Day 8 Posse, it has to be said that being a Pee Stick Endorsed Pregnant Person must be sooooo much better!!

So... - tips and symptoms please....

Biscuitsandtea · 09/09/2011 08:11

Day 8? Did you have AF 8 days ago Musical - you're a miracle woman!!! Grin

Imps7 · 09/09/2011 08:13

Hmmmm. I may have got that wrong Biscuits thinking about it. I'm sure Musical was part of the posse....will have to check back...

Imps7 · 09/09/2011 08:17

To recap - Musical had a is she here/isn't she here AF-sort-of-but-a-lot-lighter bleed but had high temps at the same time. So a sort of honorary member of the Day 8 Posse, not fully paid up given the confusion Grin

NinjaChipmunk · 09/09/2011 08:33

yay! second bfp of the thread, big congratulations to mr and mrs musical! Looking forward to your cbd bfp later too! I love waking up to a bfp in the morning!
Now wheres my tea and toast?

OP posts:
musicalmrs · 09/09/2011 08:46

Thank you Biscuits, jen and Amps!

Posting from my phone, so apologies if I miss anyone..

Yes, I was a potential CD8 posse member! I thought AF appeared 8 days ago, but she was very very light, and very few symptoms. So I was slightly suspicious! Looking back, I suppose a horrendous AF normally would mean I would be likely to have a more significant implantation bleed, if that's what it was?

Symptoms early on included bloating and constipation - lovely!. Over the past few days, I've generally felt 'heavier', with a tender stomach - couldn't sleep on it anymore. A bit of an upset stomach too, but no nausea just yet.... Yesterday i felt like I was coming down with a cold, and was absolutely exhausted.

Oh, and my appetite has disappeared - which is very unlike me! Having to force myself to eat (i'm only small, and need to make sure I don't end up underweight again!).

Looking forward to the CBD this evening!

Biscuits, can I have a glittery segway to match the bucket?!

Solars · 09/09/2011 08:50

Congratulations Musical this is fabulous news to wake up to, it sounded very much like your intuition was right with the strange going ons with af! Very excited for you!!

In other news, as suspected af arrived today. I had a bit of brown spotting late last night and is in full flow this morning. To be honest it was kind of what I expected given the month we had with HSG and non-SWI at critical time due to DH acquiring man-flu. Even so couldn't help but have a little weep and cuddle from DH last night. But it's PG day 1, so YAY!!! Looking forward to creating that June bug!!!

NinjaChipmunk · 09/09/2011 08:54

aw solars sorry to hear that. But you sound quite upbeat this morning. I find a weep and a cuddle really helps me then get in a good headspace. And we all know how lovely June bugs are! Smack that rat good and proper this month!

Biscuitsandtea · 09/09/2011 09:04

Aww Solars - boo to AF - while she is here make sure you give her a jolly good talking to about her uninvited visits!

Musical - but of course you must have a glittery segway too! It is one of your first jobs as a pee stick endorsed pregnant person (PSEPP) to customise your segway! You may find for example you need some extra hooks for your musical instruments to save you lugging them about everywhere? Or perhaps a trailer for it if you're carrying tubas and cellos?

GenericDietCola · 09/09/2011 09:06

Yay Musical - well done! So it really was an implantation bleed! Take it easy now!

Golden and Farfalla - still sounding very preggo to me.

Oh Solars so sorry your af showed up. At least that means we get to be near cycle buddies again (scant consolation, sorry). I think the cycle after the cycle where you had the HSG is the lucky one

I am enjoying all the style talk. I have new jade green coloured shoes on today! And I'm getting my nails done at lunchtime! I will be stylish and un-frumpy. Dream I'm a bit like you, if I may say so, unadventurous with clothes. I too have bought some nice flowery tops from places like Per Una or Next and then seen grannies wearing them. I always console myself that they're probably thinking 'wow that yummy mummy is wearing the same top as me - I hope I don't look like mutton dressed as lamb'.

farfallarocks · 09/09/2011 09:13

musical congratulations!!!

ninja your BFP in the morning commnent reminds of that Vietname film 'I like waking up to the smell of napalm in the morning'

solars so sorry about AF, I always give myself a couple of days to wallow and eat biscuits and then feel more positive afterwards. Smack that rat good and proper this month, no man flu ok?

Has anyone seen scream?

Went out for work drinks last night and had 3 a glass of wine. Then remmebered I read that alchohol reduces progesterone. Mine is low already so now I am freaking out obviously. Do you all drink in the 2ww? I am not sure I can abstain totally cos this could take ages but still.....

GenericDietCola · 09/09/2011 09:17

Oh crikey Farfalla something else for me to worry about! I don't drink much in the 2ww, but don't give up completely. Maybe I should. When I was pregnant with DD, I found out shortly after quite a boozy Christmas and she was fine (but I know that doesn't mean it was a sensible thing to do).

Ninja did you rearrange your appointment, I can't remember?

GenericDietCola · 09/09/2011 09:18
farfallarocks · 09/09/2011 09:26

I know, I should stop googling stuff :)

Sn0wGoose · 09/09/2011 09:29

Farfalla I had been drinking in the 2ww - like you say, it's been 6 months ttc already and I so can't go teetotal for the next five years (but since I'm obviously totally going to get pg this month I'm not sure I should :o).
Either way, I'm sure one night of moderate drinking can do much harm at this stage??

musical Congarats!!! Is that our first September BFP?

That sucks bum, Solars :(
Have a cry and a hug, some G&T and chocolate cake and climb back on the horse rat for this month :o

Still ogling my chart, here - temps significantly higher today with a drop yesterday, but I only got my OPK+ yest so can't have ov'd yet??? DTD last night though (only minor protestation from DH :o), thanks for the encouragement ladies!
www.fertilityfriend.com/home/ChartyWarty (started faginally temping from CD17 iirc, so a bit more reliable from then on)

Sn0wGoose · 09/09/2011 09:30

can't can't! darn my sewing-sore typing fingers...

farfallarocks · 09/09/2011 09:33

snow for what is worth I think it is posible to ovulate the same say as positive OPK. The LH surge is not detected in the urine for 6 hrs after it starts in your body. You can ovulate 12 hours after the surge so its possible that by the time you pick it up on an OPK you are literally about to ovulate.

I think this is why its easy to miss it sometimes as well!

I don't temp but do get EWCM and its a pretty reliable 3 days before positive OPK.

NinjaChipmunk · 09/09/2011 09:35

farfalla I really wouldn't worry about one glass of wine. I still drink in the 2ww although I'm not a big boozer in general as i fall asleep! I don't think minimal drinking will harm you/ your levels/ teeny weeny babies.
generic i was going to but have been too busy and am holiday next week then its due the tues after so not much point now (and will have ov'd around today anyway) so have decided to drink, eat and be merry this month instead. I shall be the threads official mascot this month!

OP posts:
Solars · 09/09/2011 09:40

Thank you ladies :) The rat will be well and truly smacked this month, no excuses from DH either Grin Plus I have a holiday to look forward to tomorrow and was wandering what I was going to be doing on the Napa Valley wine tour we are going on if I did get a bfp Hmm

I have to say I'm not a huge drinker anyway, but this month I did have a drink as I was celebrating birthday and have had the odd drink at other times, I didn't realise that it could affect your progesterone levels! I would have thought if you don't go overboard then it shouldn't be a big deal
