Oh yay yay yay!! Congratulations Bee!!! Our first BFP of the thread! Great news Grin

Generic when are you testing??

Beeboles · 03/09/2011 14:06

Thanks everyone Grin

A line is a line, and now it is also a 1-2 wks pregnant on a cb pee stick!

Thank you for your good luck vibes and i hope i can magically give some back to you all x

MyGoldenNotebook · 03/09/2011 14:47

That's great Bee! :)

Did you do anything different this month? Other than joining this fabulous thread of course!

Wishing you a happy, healthy and stress free pregnancy.

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 03/09/2011 14:50

My DH is so 'on message' - we've just been to IKEA and when I started to help heave the bookcase pack onto the trolley, he told me to take it easy because I'm on my 2nd day of my pregnancy! Grin

Good to hear that you have an Official Confirmation from the cb stick Bee, that's a bfp that's Brooking No Argument Wink, hope all progresses well over the coming weeks!

Golden, your DH sounds like a bit of a champion - every day for the last 6 days?! Sounds like a Double Dose of Brooking Grin

MyGoldenNotebook · 03/09/2011 14:57

Good to hear that your DH is on the right page Late ... also DH says thanks for the compliment Grin. I think he quite likes being called a champion. And you're quite right, I do mean business now. I will conceive this month I am pregnant this month after all.

I haven't been to IKEA for ages. Think I'm having withdrawal symptoms after reading your post. I want a new mini ironing board, some pretty glass bowls and a ficus

Wants3 · 03/09/2011 15:01

Hello everyone, I am trying very hard not to symtom spot for the next 10 days, luckily I am back at work on Monday and uni on Thursday so will have plenty to keep myself busy ! Hi, notebook we haven't been on the same page for awhile! Well done for the marathon SWI,you have probably done enough for all of us! This has got to be your month! Are you going to wait to poas? I have not even bought one yet so I will not be tempted( although I will be shopping several times before totm):)

MyGoldenNotebook · 03/09/2011 15:19

Hello wants ! AF is due on September 14th so I will POAS (or actually PIAP!) then if the evil witch doesn't turn up. I've already sent her a very stern psychic message telling her that she has been entirely banished from my uterus for the next nine months. Hopefully she checks her messages!

I already have my pregnancy tests (just amazon cheepy ones) but they're going to stay in the draw. Like many others on here I would rather AF than a BFN; although my resolve may well break!

Wants3 · 03/09/2011 16:43

I am due 13th or 15th if cycle is longer. I will try and hold out for that weekend if AF has not shown up. I want there to be no doubt if it is when it is a BFP

MyGoldenNotebook · 03/09/2011 17:19

Gosh wantswe really are due at the same time!

I only mention this as a keen observer of your posts but ... the reason you never manage to cross out or embolden your text is because you leave gaps. The trick is not to leave a gap between symbol and letters. So if you put and then leave a gap between the symbol and the the letters as i have done in here it will not work!

this works

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 03/09/2011 17:44

Golden, we had meatballs for lunch at IKEA as well....Wink

Biscuitsandtea · 03/09/2011 17:45

As an expert brooker of no arguments Wink I must insist too that you strike out 'if it is' not 'when it is'

this -might be-- will be your month Wants Grin

Biscuitsandtea · 03/09/2011 17:47

Oh my goodness Late i love ikea meatballs! As do DH and DS - we used to live less than 10 mins from Ikea and I would often be found there with ds having just gone for meatballs when i had run out of energy ideas in the kitchen Blush. Now we live a bit further but it does mean that whenever we go DH makes sure it is near lunchtime :)

MyGoldenNotebook · 03/09/2011 18:58

Mmmm Ikea meatballs

We're getting an indian takeaway tonight and I'm so excited! We're both supposed to be on diets after both gaining a bit during the hols but we're letting go! I love food SO MUCH. Which is probably why I'm so bad at diets :)

duke748 · 03/09/2011 19:12

Hi all! Congrats to the BFPs!

I'm only on day 9 but planning some visits from my DP next week (he works away during the week) for some serious SWI! This is our 2nd month TTC no.2. My DS is 8 months old and so SWI has to go around his sleeping pattern!

Good luck to everyone. Remember, its not a case of if but when!

BartletForAmerica · 03/09/2011 20:17

Ah, it is Cake who is the barrister. I knew someone was!

maybe, thesis due in end of the month, so trying to get final draft done tonight so my supervisor can read over it while I'm away, so won't write long here.

We are off on holiday tomorrow, so you need to keep track of all the BFPs so I can catch up on my return! Mine is due about Sept 16th, so I'll be back in time to share all my symptoms!

Rather worryingly, I will miss you all and will think of you while I am away. (My DH does think it is all a bit odd, but is happy that this thread keeps the madness from him! Smile)

Wants3 · 03/09/2011 21:08

I love Ikea too so was really pleased when one opened up a bit closer to me! Need to persuade DH that we are due another visit soon especially as we have a nursery to decorate in the very near future!:)

musicalmrs · 03/09/2011 22:25

Our nearest Ikea is only 15 minutes away - too tempting! The Ikea catalogue dropped through my door last week. We've just finished buying furniture for our house (we moved a few months ago from a tiny 2 bed flat to a 3 bed house - cheaper, as its outside London - and had to buy lots to furnish the extra rooms!). The first thing I did was flick to the nursey section Blush

I spent most of today completely confused - having thought AF started yesterday, then disappeared! Think she's back this evening though. Think I biased it - I was happy to have a 'normal' cycle (even if no BFP) and cycle buddies for the next one, that she decided to mess me around a bit!

Bartlet - I realised I missed MN when away all day on a couple of days last week. Think it's all the lovely ladies and the support! :) (and maybe the cocktails, and the baked goods).

duke748 · 03/09/2011 23:22

For all those who love Ikea (me too!) check out this website...

Ikea Hackers

Its full iof ideas for customising Ikea furniture. I love the Kura bed ones. I'd have loved a den like that as a kid!

I'm rubbish at baking, but hate to turn up at a party with nothing, so am hoping an Ikea link will do! Grin

CakePigeon · 04/09/2011 10:15

Hello! Bali does indeed have wifi!

Bartlet hope you have a lovely time on holiday and good luck with your thesis.

musical sorry to hear AF is back but good to hear your cycles are ok

LOVE ikea! Our nearest is about 40mins so it isn't dangerously close but last time I was there we got a parking ticket for staying over 3 hours Blush ooops

No news from me, not ov'd yet. I have just had to PIAAT (pee in an ash tray) as there isn't anything else Blush. DH said "there's an ash try next to the loo, it's like they want you to wee in it". I think I deserve an award for commitment to opks as I also managed to poas on a plane Grin.

Good luck for your symptom spotting weeks wants and golden I'm looking forward to all of your exciting symptoms

MeconiumHappens · 04/09/2011 18:49

Have NEVER been to ikea, but when the bump is established im going to go down for a little nursery perusal...will make sure i time it right for the meatballs! nom nom sounds gooood.

thelittlefriend · 04/09/2011 19:36

Congrats on the bfp bee!

Hi to everyone. I've been away for a few days, but it's great to come back and see all your positivity is still producing results! My disfunctioninng body is still misbehaving but I've got a gp appointment for some blood results tomorrow, so at least something is happening. Anyway, keep up the good work, mwah mwah xx

ScrambledSmegs · 04/09/2011 20:26

Hello! I am returned! Had a lovely break in the New Forest, lots of cycling and eating in nice restaurants, and the most amazing b&b I've ever stayed in. However, for reasons beyond our control, this month I am expecting AF as usual Sad. Anyway, onwards and upwards! Next month will be our month for sure!

Congratulations bee! So happy for you

IKEA rocks. Smegette and I took a trip there recently, I nearly bought the entire toy section and the storage to keep it in! We also enjoyed Smegette's meatballs very much, although she barely let me have a sniff. Had to sneak one while her attention was elsewhere Wink.

Hi thelittlefriend! I hope your blood tests provide some answers and solutions. Am keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you.

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 04/09/2011 21:14

AF has packed up and is outta here. I'm on day 4 of my pregnancy, counting down to ov. DH is primed and ready to go Wink Golden, I have told him about your 6-times-in-6-days-DH to spark off a bit of competitive spirit, and I have told him that I most definitely mean business, no arguments been brooked here! Grin

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 04/09/2011 21:16

Oops, getting ahead of myself, it's day 3 of my pg Blush

musicalmrs · 04/09/2011 21:32

Late - are you planning on trying the every day tactic then? I applaud you if so - I don't think my DH would cope with that ;) I'm going for SWI every other day - and as I'm still not entirely sure of when I ov, I'll be beginning as soon as! FF also isn't sure - in fact it's mightily confused...

thelittlefriend - I hope the blood tests go well, and shed some light on what's going on.

Scrambled - Sorry to hear that, but welcome to the June baby club!

Cake - Hurrah for wifi in Bali - and for a convenient ash tray!
