So here is our new home, hope you all like it!

Good afternoon, ladies. Sorry I wasn?t around yesterday. The OPK told me I had other things to do rather than be on MN. Unfortunately, DH and I had a big argument for hours instead, but thankfully managed to sort it out before bedtime. Hmm, I think we are needing our holiday.

Right, so I have gone back through everything I have missed and even had to -update my MN spreadsheet- take notes while reading.

Maybe, hope the thesis writing is going well. Just think, if we get it all done and out of the way now, then we won?t need to have morning sickness AND write a thesis. (I am choosing not to think about throwing up through my viva.)

Thanks, jen, for the PIACC clarification. I PIAJ, a Waitrose Easy on the Garlic jar to be precise (PIAWEOTGJ?)! It now lives on the bathroom shelf. I do wonder why other people think it is there.

Right, musical, , I have to go on holiday on Sunday. I need answers before then!

maybe, sorry you?re not feeling great today and that AF has arrived.

I hope Sn0w?s DH is feeling better and that he is back to work, so to speak.

Scream, well done on the exam.

Generic, your recipe sounds delicious, but I now need to delete from my mind. I am trying to lose those last few pounds from my last pregnancy and must be strong!

Imps, sorry that AF did arrive after all. Nice regular periods though, so that has to be a good sign. Only 28 days until we get to confirm your BFP now! I see you?re a barrister. Was the (oh, can?t remember what it was called, recent TV prog) Silk (may or may not be right) accurate? Or was it as painful for you to watch as it is for me to watch Casualty etc?

Baby, you mentioned that you keep getting thrush? Is DH applying the cream to himself as well? You can pass it back and forth, even if he doesn?t have symptoms, so that might be worth a try.

All the spider stories are a bit grim. I was terrified of spiders before I did the Friendly Spider Programme at London Zoo. It was a bit of chat about phobias and spiders, then some hypnotherapy, then off to the Bugs? House to meet some house spiders and ?play? with him, and, if you wanted, to get your photo taken with you holding a tarantula! I still don?t like spiders but it is completely different to the sheer panic I used to get.

farfalla, I have, at one the groups I go to, met a baby called Atticus. You can give it to an actual child.

Enjoy your holiday, Cake. Enjoy your last non-pregnant holiday!

Late, welcome to the thread. Sorry to hear that you have had a MC. This is your month. We are Brooking No Arguments!

scarlet, tagging YOU on scan photos? That sounds bonkers at the best of times. What on earth was she thinking?!

I didn?t put any scan photos or mention my pregnancy at all on FB until I was about 30 weeks, when I changed my profile photo to one with my bump. I do have very strict FB rules though. No-one from work, unless I am a friend with them outside of work, and if I wouldn?t cross the road to speak to you, you don?t get to be my friend! I don?t think it is a wrong thing to step away from FB, Ninja, but maybe a good cull is in order? You are always able to come and rant at us if needed and able to come and bathe in the pool of positivity, both the mental attitude type and pee-stick confirmable type. Smile

So after that monster post,

What do we want?
Positive pee sticks!
When do we want them?
Now!

ScrambledSmegs · 02/09/2011 13:43

Hi all! Sorry, we've had family visiting and now we're off to the New Forest so I haven't been able to check in over the last day. And I've only skimmed the thread so all I've picked up (besides the monster spiders - eek!) is -

Maybe, Imps & Late, sorry to hear AF has arrived, why on earth won't she take the hint?! This will be your month, I know it!

scarlet your friend is very odd, tagging you on scan photos. Why on earth would someone do that?

Good work, Bartlett! I hate those row that happen just when you're about to SWI - possibly something to do with the pressure you think you're under. Happened more times than I care to remember...

I've met an Atticus, lovely name. I've also met a Scout, and my personal favourite, Bede (as in 'The Venerable Bede'). Shame DH is a bit conservative at heart. I think that babies are generally so lovely they can carry off most names. Except Mildred. That just isn't going to work.

Right, gotta go - long drive ahead of me! Smegette is with ILs this weekend, so might actually get some SWI FF!

GenericDietCola · 02/09/2011 14:49

Imps, Late and Maybe so sorry about AF for all of you, but sounds like you're all seeing the positives in it - regular cycles etc. Good for you for thinking that way and here's to a lovely June bug for each of you.

Bartlet glad you and DH made up in time for bed! Don't worry about the recipe, it's low fat (yeah, right) and it does have protein in it, so not all bad.

Scrambled I love all those names. Our DD has a very unusual name and I think we will go for an unusual one again for DC2 when s/he puts in an appearance. Have fun with ILs. I'm off for a weekend with ILs too.

Farfalla so happy to see you feeling much better.

Scream glad you feel better after this morning's wobble. Keep on brooking chuck.

No symptoms here at all today, real or imaginary. AF not due on Thursday. I'm sure I'm preggo anyway. Off to have lovely weekend with family, see you on Monday.

Imps7 · 02/09/2011 15:11

Good afternoon! What a gorgeous day! Think we're going to have a BBQ tonight - squeeze the very last out of the summer.

Bartlet, I'm a solicitor - nowhere near clever enough to be a barrister (we always say that barristers are the proper lawyers and we're the admin people!) I think everyone watches TV progs about their jobs and screams - all law-based ones are so unrealistic! When our builder was doing work on our house he was watching DIY SOS in the evening (he stayed over while he was on the job - long story) and I heard him sniggering about how they were doing the building work on the programme!

OH and I have decided to tempt fate and have started planning a big holiday for the end of next year - we want to go to Japan for 2 weeks! Obviously we won't book anything yet but it's in the diary and we're planning out where we're going to go etc.

Right, who's doing what at the weekend? We're decorating tomorrow and have friends round for lunch on Sunday - can't wait as it means that I can spend a lot of tomorrow in the kitchen again, rather than up a ladder with a roller! Oh, and I can't wait to see my friends of course!

Solars · 02/09/2011 15:44

It is a beautiful day isn't it Imps, now that you've set the wheels in motion for your big holiday you will certainly fall pregnant and so will have to rethink the holiday!! Good luck with all the decorating!

Have fun in the New Forest Scrambled and hope you're feeling better Bartlett

Right Generic the confectionary is setting in the fridge as we speak, yum, yum! I only have another stuffy nose this morning to report symptoms wise!

I'm up in the midlands this weekend having a family catch up so looking forward to chasing and being chased by all my nieces & nephews. Out for a fews drinks with cousins on saturday night and then hopefully if the weather holds out a bbq on sunday as it's also my birthday too! Have a good weekend everyone, no t'internet at parents house so will be offline and will catch up next week!

BartletForAmerica · 02/09/2011 16:57

Imps, definitely book and pay for your holiday, ideally so that is non-refundable. Your BFP will soon appear!

Beeboles · 02/09/2011 18:30

O.k, deep breath. I have POAS today and got a very faint BFP.

I can't quite believe it but DH says line is there, it was a cheapy test from morrisons. I know i have 2 ds's already, but i only tested after AF was supposed to arrive with them and got a clear line. AF not due till weekend.

I want it to be tomorrow already so i can get more tests!!!!!!!

jenfraggle · 02/09/2011 18:44

Yay bee a line is a line is a line :o

scarletfingernail · 02/09/2011 18:50

Bee a line is a line and if it can be seen by you and DH it is most definitely there!

CONGRATULATIONS!

Biscuitsandtea · 02/09/2011 18:50

Great news Bee - a line is a line! GrinGrinGrin

musicalmrs · 02/09/2011 18:55

Beeboles - that's SO exciting! Congratulations! :D

I'm afraid I'm out - AF has finally crept up on me. Still doesn't feel completely normal, but I'm sure it's her. However, looking at it positively, it's nice to have a 'normal' cycle for a change! Imps, Maybe and Late - can I join your cycle buddies club?

Sadly I'm not a Wine fan, but will spend tonight eating lots of B&Js. As for the weekend, I have lessons to plan and music to write - attempting to get as much out of the way as possible before both term and the next mammoth SWI session begins!

I also plan to bake and eat lots of calorific food. Hurrah!

any requests?!

NinjaChipmunk · 02/09/2011 19:59

congratulations bee the first bfp of the thread, roll on tomorrow so you can p.o.another.s!
mmmmm bbq's

OP posts:
MeconiumHappens · 02/09/2011 20:09

Congrats Bee Commiserations to all who have got AF, old bag.

Beng tagged on someone else's scan pic= weirdest thing I've heard in a while. How thoughtless.

NinjaChipmunk · 02/09/2011 20:10

sorry to hear about af musical but sounds like you've a busy time ahead!

OP posts:
BartletForAmerica · 02/09/2011 20:33

Woo hoo, congratulations, Bee! A line is indeed a line!

Sorry, musical. You wanted a June baby anyway, didn't you? Because that's what you are going to get!

musicalmrs · 02/09/2011 21:48

Thanks Ninja and Bartlet. Yes, a June baby would be wonderful. Fingers crossed!

Being tagged in someone else's scan pictures is incredibly weird, and very thoughtless. Someone on my Facebook did that recently - ridiculous. I'm not a huge fan (more of a twitterer, which I use for business).

Imps - You know you have to book the holiday - it'll encourage the ironic BFP to appear! ;)

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 02/09/2011 22:55

Oooo! Bee, well done you!

Musical, congrats on day one of your pregnancy! Come one over and join us Grin

CakePigeon · 03/09/2011 02:12

Hurrah for free wifi - I love hong kong!

Sorry that AF has arrived musical but you can join us with the June baby club now! :) welcome to day 1 of your pregnancy!

bee congrats!! Hope you plan on peeing on some more sticks to relive the BFP a few more times for us Grin

Bartlet silk was hilarious for barristers Grin Personally I'm glad there is a barrister programme at all so people can begin to understand the difference between us and solicitors. imps you are the real lawyers, we just do the speaking at the end of your hard work!

maybebabyR · 03/09/2011 06:47

Bee! Congratulations! Hope you are getting another BFP this morning!

Musical sorry AF got you, but there is most definitely room for you in our posse! I too plan to bake at some point this weekend! Going to have a rummage in my cook books soon!

Solars hope you are having a lovely weekend, happy birthday for tomorrow Smile

Imps a long haul holiday you say? I have heard that just whispering these words gives you morning sickness...

Hope you are having a lovely weekend too Generic Only a few more days till you confirm what we already know!

Have fun in the New Forest Scrambled

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 03/09/2011 08:26

Bee!! Congratulations! A line is a line is a line (as others have already said! lol) I do hope you'll be peeing on many more sticks today, tom, and over the next few days though - there's nothing quite like watching it get darker!

Helloooooo to Cake! Hurray for HK and its free wifi! I imagine you were just on a stopover earlier though, so fingers crossed there's wifi in Bali as well!

Good luck to the biggest baddest rat smacking posse EVER! (Imps, Maybe, Late and Musical of course!) I'm sure you'll be taking no prisoners this month! I hope AF's annoying symptoms clear off soon, and you can get down to the serious business at hand! Don't work too though, after all you are on day 2 of your pregnancy!

My head is killing me this morning, which is particulary annoying because a) I'm still drinking over 2 litres of water a day - surely that should provide some kind of headache immunity! b) Seeing as I have to do 90% of my revision on my computer, feeling pain when I look at the screen is not overly helpful... Sigh.

BabySade · 03/09/2011 08:43

Congratulations Bee Grin finally a positive pee stick!!!!

Sorry about AF Maybe, Imps & Musical but congratulations on joining us ladies due in June. It is obviously the best month of the year to have a baby as it should be warm but not too hot. Plus its my wedding anniversary then!

Cake have an amazing holiday, can't wait to hear all about Bali

Imps get that holiday sorted, you'll be updiffed the minute you pay the non refundable deposit.

Bartlet thanks for the advice, have started DH on the cream. Hope you are fully recovered by now.

Solars have a wonderful birthday Smile

I'm outraged by the FB stories I must admit before TTC I didn't really understand how painful it could be to see scan pics. I still don't think I would have put 12 week scan pics up or maybe even 20 week ones as you don't know how things are going to go & I would hate for so many people to know something so personal. Now I definitely would not put them up there as I know how horrible it feels to see them. On the other hand I hate it when people make really cryptic comments about being pregnant but don't actually say it, cos I'm so addicted to TTC I then find myself constantly wondering if that person is pregnant. Hope that doesn't make me sound crazy Blush. Anyway I can't believe that anyone would tag someone else in their scan pics, it's so thoughtless Angry

Maybe sounds like you have a lovely weekend planned, make sure you show AF who's boss. Yay for the puppy, DH & I are just heading out with our doggy for a walk.

BabySade · 03/09/2011 08:47

Bah sorry Late I knew I would miss someone!

Scream hope your surviving the exam hell. I'm just about to start a uni course at the end of September. I'm scared, I've forgotten how to study!

MyGoldenNotebook · 03/09/2011 08:53

Congratulations Bee! I can't wait for more stick oriented updates :)

Maybe, Imps, late and Musical you will all definitely be giving birth in June and you are Brooking no Argument!

Is it close to POAS time Generic? Can't wait for you to confirm the Blindingly Obvious! I really to root for everyone on here :)

Well I started back at work yesterday and I can already tell that this is going to be a super busy term. 'They' always start off the year by analysing the Summer's exam results, but even when the department do really well I'm still left feeling anxious because we are always pushed to concentrate on what we could do better / are doing wrong :( But I am determined to get less emotionally invovlved this year as it is counter productive.

I guess I am in the 2ww as it is day 17 of a 28 day cycle but will continue to SWI every other day. I have done it every day for the last 6 days and while it has been fun I am decidedly tired Grin

Do I get to symptom spot yet? Or is it too early?

BabySade · 03/09/2011 08:58

Golden you know any symptom no matter how small is welcome here!

Ooh Generic are we expecting our next positive pee stick soon?!

And I forgot to say Farfalla hope you had lots of fun dancing. I love dancing and drinking even though I'm probably getting too old for the clubbing malarky

Right I really am going to walk my dog Smile
