OP posts:
maybebabyR · 30/08/2011 11:42

I hope you are right Scarlet But I erring on the side of caution. I feel really sick right now though. Weird sick, no belly ache, but it feels like every time I swallow it isnt going anywhere?

Good luck at your appointment, not that you will need it Smile

Imps7 · 30/08/2011 11:44

Oooooooh Scarlet best of luck with the appointment! Come and tell us all about it when you get back!

Solars · 30/08/2011 12:10

It's ok Maybe you test whenever you feel confident on doing it, i'm just very impatient when it comes to PIAR/POAS or even PIACC (as you do) Have to admire your resolve though!!! I had a funny sensation of nausea this morning but pretty sure it was something to do with the curry we had lsat night!

Good luck with your appointment Scarlet

Imps7 · 30/08/2011 12:36

Hmm, little baby Fedex is making me crave cup-a-soup. Am going to have a trawl round town to see if I can find some.

jaggythistle · 30/08/2011 13:28

Hope your appointment goes well scarlet.

Mine's not till 9 tomorrow, quite looking forward to getting it out of the way. Might make it all feel a bit more real.

Hope the midwife is in a good mood. If it's the same one as last time she was a bit, em, brusque. She was nice enough, I was just a bit scared of her Grin

jaggythistle · 30/08/2011 13:30

PS maybe and imps this is so your month...

...and every one else of course cos we're on this thread Grin

maybebabyR · 30/08/2011 13:44

Good luck for tomorrow Jaggy hope the midwife is a tad tamer tomorrow Grin

I am hungry Imps but don't know what for.

When are you testing Solars

Imps7 · 30/08/2011 13:51

Maybe, can I suggest the following options? BabyMaybe does need you to keep your energy up, after all:

Cake
Pudding
Ice cream
Biscuits
Chocolate
Belgian waffles
Milkshake
Hot chocolate
Burger
Pizza
Fish and chips
Pork pie
All of the above.

Hope that helps?

Just got a mahoosive bargain in Mothercare - went in to stock up on baby stuff for all my friends' babies who are due in the next month although I may have accidentally had a quick peek at the maternity wear while I was there - they had stuff in the sale and BOGOF on all sale items! Got a pack of 7 bodysuits and cute sleep suit for £8! Apparently the BOGOF offer had already ended but the nice man at the till still put it through for me.

Jaggy perish the thought of a hamfisted midwife Shock. Hope she's gentle with you this time!

maybebabyR · 30/08/2011 13:57

Ooooh, Imps Burger, pizza and fish and chips please. You were offering right? Grin

Amazing bargain

maybebabyR · 30/08/2011 13:58

The crossing out didn't work. It's because my shame must be laid bare for all to see Blush

Imps7 · 30/08/2011 14:04

I've had my pram o'choice picked out for 18 months!

Fret not Maybe there's nothing to be ashamed of on this thread.

musicalmrs · 30/08/2011 14:11

I've been avoiding baby shops and prams like the plague, so I didn't go planning mad...

...but then some furniture catalogues came through the door yesterday and I couldn't help but nursery plan! Nooo!

SS-wise, I'm peeing for England at the moment... and I need to stop SS-ing!

maybebabyR · 30/08/2011 14:14

I have had mine picked out since Feb!

Beeboles · 30/08/2011 14:19

Hello all! Sorry to barge in like this, but i've been lurking for a while now. Now i sound like a stalker Blush

ttc number 3 , ds1 4.5 yrs and ds2 3yrs.

Due af this weekend/beginning of next week. Feeling a bit strange and going mad symptom spotting!

Hope alls well with you.

[puts orange ice lollies on table]

I can't stop eating them so get them while you can

Oh, and bfn this morning. Too early?

maybebabyR · 30/08/2011 14:23

It must just be too early Bee You are quite clearly upduffed, you just have to find a pee stick that agrees with you. That's the tricky part. There was talk a while back about an apprentcie-style interview process to fon the positive ones.

jaggythistle · 30/08/2011 14:29

ice lollies were my only craving when pg with DS.

hi bee

the midwife wasn't vigorous with me as such (she did attempt a sweep, which I would like to block form my memory though) she just somehow made me feel like a numpty. Maybe I have issues.

Solars · 30/08/2011 14:34

Lucky i've had lunch Imps otherwise i'd be drooling all over that list of food!
However, lunch washed down by an ice lolly sounds fab thanks Bee and yes I think you are very early on the testing!

I'm too scared to look at baby stuff and will only look once my pee stick is confirmed!

Maybe thankfully I have no pee sticks in the house and have decided that I will not waste any money buy any until at least a couple of weeks when I my AF is not due!!

Solars · 30/08/2011 14:37

sorry, i really must proof read my messages before pressing the post button, but MNing & working is proving to be very difficult!!!

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 30/08/2011 14:55

Grin at Solars not looking at baby stuff until after the pee stick confirmation. I'm the exact opposite! I spent ages looking at baby stuff when it was all just "at some point in the future" but as soon as I got the pee stick endorsement it suddenly feels like tempting fate / taking things for granted if I start looking up stuff! I don't feel I can even glance at anything baby-related until after my 20 week scan!!

CakePigeon · 30/08/2011 15:04

Hi bee a lolly sounds lovely, thank you!

My DH bought an actual cot before we even started ttc. I think he has issues Grin he's always looking at baby things but now I won't let him look and accuse him of jinxing things Blush

maybebabyR · 30/08/2011 15:08

Oh, bless your DH Cake Mine bought one of those little hooded towel things, and a jumper and babygrow that I have hidden in the wardrobe. They can get a tad over excited sometimes can't they Smile

ScrambledSmegs · 30/08/2011 15:10

Cor, this thread moves fast! Thanks for the welcome, you guys are great!

Just wanted to say boo! to your hospital, Ninja keeping you waiting like that. And Imps, of course it's an implantation bleed, I feel it in my water Wink. And, maybe yes, I think in the spirit of no-brooking you should name change to definitelymaybebaby! Hope your appointments go well, scarlet and jaggy, and that you get lovely midwives with small and gentle hands.

Well, the Smegette has yet again been partying all night. Three nights in a row now. I'm dead on my feet and have taken the day off work Blush, mainly because I cycle to work and didn't want to risk ending up under a bus. Am in my pj's watching Horrible Histories on iPlayer, drinking decaf tea and eating dark chocolate digestives. I've only been up since 2pm...

Did someone say pram?! Hmm - I always thought I'd use the Ergo again till we finally caved and went double buggy-tastic. It's a shame as we have a Stokke and I still absolutely love it. More to the point, Smegette loves it - she get's the most incredible amount of attention in it as she's up so high! Decisions, decisions...

Solars · 30/08/2011 15:10

I'm pretty sure that I can guarantee Scream that even when my pee stick is endorsed I will not be looking at baby stuff until my waters have broken!!! I'm sure all will be ok Scream :)

Cake you could look at it that your DH is brooking no argument too!

maybebabyR · 30/08/2011 15:14

Scrambled you are my new icon. Pjs, choccy digestives and tea?

I am leaving work in a minute. Haven't eaten all day and am now feeling the effects. Home time and a cuppa with DH before he goes to work me thinks.

In puppy news, the breeder has said we can have one. Oh, I want one, I want one, I want one

ScrambledSmegs · 30/08/2011 15:23

Gah! I had a lovely post to loads of people on this thread and i lost it when MN went offline just now. You'll just have to take my word for it, it was awesome Wink.

maybe it's a glamourous life, but someone's got to do it!

Solars, I feel a sweepstake coming on. I bet you cave by, ooh, 20 weeks!
