Well...just got my scan date - its on Monday morning , I just hope it goes well because after lunch we'll be driving the 200 miles to my grandpa's house ready for his funeral the next day...surely that's enough sadness?!

tomboy remind me, have you tried acupuncture to sort out your cycles? It certainly helped with mine.

Good luck for friday lily, you deserve some good news!

lily06 · 14/02/2012 15:32

Excellent news that you have a date at last - not too long to go now!

TomboyWife · 14/02/2012 19:34

lily if AF isn't due til Friday that BFN could very easily be a too-early-to-tell. Fx for you on Friday!

Amandine good luck with the scan, I'm sure everything will be fine!

I've not tried acupuncture or temping. When everything is working right I generally get enough physical clues that I know when I ov. But my cycles also seem particularly sensitive to stress and it doesn't take much for things to go doolally.

I've got lots of physical cues that I'm gearing up to ov at the moment, which is about right in terms of timing. I also had a teeny bit of spotting today, which I never got mid-cycle pre-mc. (But then my AF never used to overflow sanitary towels pre-mc either, and that's an oh-so-joyously regular occurrence now. Confused)

I know this is all well within the definition of normal, but, well, grrr. My cycle used to be so dainty and polite...

Hi all,

Amandine sorry to hear about your grandad x really hoping it's good news for you on Monday morning, sounds like you have loads of symptoms so that's a really good sign.

Lily Wishing you good news for Friday xx

Tomboy Hoping you don't see another AF!!

I'm still waiting for my AF - don't think I've ever hoped for it to arrive quite this much. It's been 5 weeks since my ERPC and I'm getting really impatient. I want to have all the sex in the hope it might lead to something! Quite a few of my friends are pregnant/due when I would have been (March and July) so want to be actively trying as soon as we can.

O x

Hello ladies,

No luck here, AF turned up last night. CD1 again for me.

How's everyone else?

AmandinePoulain · 18/02/2012 20:57

Boo to af lily Angry

I'm trying not to think about my scan on Monday and failing miserably due to some more pink cm but organising and running a 4 yo's party is a good distraction! Grin

TomboyWife · 19/02/2012 12:34

lily sorry to hear about AF. Sad

Amandine try not to worry too much -- easier said than done, I know. We've all seen the bad end, but lots and lots of people get spotting without it meaning anything is wrong. Good luck with the party! Wrangling a room full of 4-year-olds sounds like an all-consuming activity.

I have no idea what's up with me. What started as a bit of ov-related spotting turned into what might be described as an extremely light period. Or was it just a lot of ov-related spotting? It went for about 5 days before stopping, so right now I'm either on CD18 or CD6. I'm so sick of every cycle being a WTF cycle. Angry

AmandinePoulain · 20/02/2012 10:37

Good news from me Smile, a little wriggler measuring 13 weeks, 5 days further along than I thought Smile. And the bleed has disappeared Grin

Ostrich78 · 20/02/2012 12:41

That's wonderful news Amandine!

Joining in the boos for AF Lily

Tomboy that sounds so frustrating (WTF is that what the f*?). How long has it been doing that for?

Ostrich78 · 20/02/2012 16:02

Just thought I'd let you know that my AF arrived, here we go again.......

TomboyWife · 20/02/2012 19:30

Hooray Amandine! Grin

And glad to hear you're off the WTF cycle Ostrich.

As for my cycles, I miscarried in June and haven't had a completely normal cycle since. My WTF was a marathon 8 weeks, the next cycle was close to normal, but the one after that lasted almost 3 months. Then I had another couple of almost-normal ones, then this one that was either 2 weeks long or fraught with mid-cycle breakthrough bleeding.

I'm due my smear test, so when I'm getting that done I'll ask what (if anything) they can do to help me regulate. I know from my post-mc scan that I don't have PCOS, endometriosis, or anything like that. Everything really ought to be in good working order. Except it clearly isn't. Sad

AmandinePoulain · 20/02/2012 19:37

tomboy I've heard of people being prescribed the pill for a month to kick start their cycles, I know it would mean delaying ttc for a month but maybe worth mentioning to your gp? Otherwise I can really recommend acupuncture, I had it for about 4 months all together, expensive but worth it.

AmandinePoulain · 20/02/2012 19:38

And another boo to af for ostrich

Ostrich78 · 21/02/2012 09:02

Tomboy a 3 month AF? What a pain in the arse, let's hope you get some answers/suggestions when you have your smear x

Thanks for the boos ladies but it's my first af since my MMC so I was actually waiting for it to come! It wasn't normal but it was there so I'll be having lots of SWI in the next few weeks.

This was my second MMC so I was thinking I might see a homeopath. Never seen one before but I feel so frustrated that I wont be looked at until the next MC that I want to try SOMETHING as if I don't and it happens again then it just feels like a waste of time and heartbreak. Anyone else have any experience with a homeopath?

TomboyWife · 21/02/2012 21:56

Ostrich it wasn't a 3-month AF, that would've been beyond awful and had me scurrying to the doctor's. It was an almost 3-month wait between AFs.

As for homeopathy, I'm afraid there's no evidence it works better than a placebo. Have you considered acupuncture or similar?

AmandinePoulain · 22/02/2012 07:39

I second tomboy ostrich, I don't believe in homeopathy because the nurse in me just can't understand how diluting something makes it stronger...but I do believe that acupuncture helped me.

Ostrich78 · 24/02/2012 09:22

Tomboy should have read your post properly!

Thanks for the advice ladies, Amandine you're right, that doesn't make sense. I think I need to do a bit of research but I have heard good things about acupunture especially with fertility issues.

Hope everyone is well, enjoy your Friday.
x
